- イスラエル の 全部族は ヘブロン の ダビデ のもとに 來てこう 言った． 「御覽ください． わたしたちはあなたの 骨肉です．
- これまで， サウル がわたしたちの 王であったときにも， イスラエル の 進退の 指揮をとっておられたのはあなたでした． 主はあなたに 仰せになりました． 『わが 民 イスラエル を 牧するのはあなただ． あなたが イスラエル の 指導者となる 』と． 」
- イスラエル の 長老たちは 全員， ヘブロン の 王のもとに 來た． ダビデ 王は ヘブロン で 主の 御前に 彼らと 契約を 結んだ． 長老たちは ダビデ に 油を 注ぎ， イスラエル の 王とした．
- ダビデ は 三十歲で 王となり， 四十年間王位にあった．
- 七年六か 月の 間 ヘブロン で ユダ を， 三十三年の 間 エルサレム で イスラエル と ユダ の 全土を 統治した．

- Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
- Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel.
- So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.
- David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
- In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.

- 王とその 兵は エルサレム に 向かい， その 地の 住民の エブス 人を 攻めようとした． エブス 人は ダビデ が 町に 入ることはできないと 思い， ダビデ に 言った． 「お 前はここに 入れまい． 目の 見えない 者， 足の 不自由な 者でも， お 前を 追い 拂うことは 容易だ． 」
- しかし ダビデ は シオン の 要害を 陷れた． これが ダビデ の 町である．
- そのとき， ダビデ は 言った． 「エブス 人を 討とうとする 者は 皆， 水くみの トンネル を 通って 町に 入り， ダビデ の 命を 憎むという 足の 不自由な 者， 目の 見えない 者を 討て． 」このために， 目や 足の 不自由な 者は 神殿に 入ってはならない， と 言われるようになった．
- ダビデ はこの 要害に 住み， それを ダビデ の 町と 呼び， ミロ から 內部まで， 周圍に 城壁を 築いた．
- ダビデ は 次第に 勢力を 增し， 万軍の 神， 主は 彼と 共におられた．

- And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.
- Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.
- And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.
- So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.
- And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.

- ティルス の 王 ヒラム は ダビデ のもとに 使節を 派遣し， レバノン 杉， 木工， 石工を 送って 來た． 彼らは ダビデ の 王宮を 建てた．
- ダビデ は， 主が 彼を イスラエル の 王として ¿るぎないものとされ， 主の 民 イスラエル のために 彼の 王權を 高めてくださったことを 悟った．
- ダビデ は ヘブロン から 移った 後， エルサレム でも 妻をめとり， 側女を 置いたので， 息子や 娘が 更に 生まれた．
- エルサレム で 生まれた 子供たちの 名は 次のとおりである． シャムア ， ショバブ ， ナタン ， ソロモン ，
- イブハル ， エリシュア ， ネフェグ ， ヤフィア ，

- And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons: and they built David an house.
- And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.
- And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.
- And these be the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shammuah, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon,
- Ibhar also, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia,

- ペリシテ 人は， ダビデ が 油を 注がれて イスラエル の 王になったことを 聞いた． すべての ペリシテ 人が， ダビデ の 命をねらって 攻め 上って 來た． ダビデ はこれを 聞いて 要害に 下った．
- やって 來た ペリシテ 人は レファイム の 谷に 陣を 廣げた．
- ダビデ は 主に 託宣を 求めた． 「ペリシテ 人に 向かって 攻め 上るべきでしょうか． 彼らをこの 手にお 渡しくださるでしょうか． 」主は ダビデ に 答えられた． 「攻め 上れ． 必ず ペリシテ 人をあなたの 手に 渡す． 」
- ダビデ は バアル · ペラツィム に 攻め 入り， 彼らを 討ち 滅ぼして， こう 言った． 「主は 敵をわたしの 前で， 水が 堤防を 破るように 打ち 破ってくださった． 」その 場所を バアル · ペラツィム （破れ 目の 主 ）と 呼ぶのは， このためである．

- And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.
- But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.
- The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
- And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
- And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.

- ペリシテ 人が 自分たちの 偶像をそこに 捨てて 行ったので， ダビデ とその 兵はそれを 運び 去った．
- ペリシテ 人は 再び 攻め 上り， レファイム の 谷に 陣を 廣げた．
- ダビデ が 主に 託宣を 求めると， 次のように 答えられた． 「攻め 上らず， 背後に 回れ． バルサム の 茂みの 反對側から 敵に 向かえ．
- 茂み 越しに 行軍の 音を 聞いたら， 攻めかかれ． 主が ペリシテ の 陣營を 討つために， お 前に 先んじて 出陣されるのだ． 」
- ダビデ は 主の 命じられたとおりに 行動し， ゲバ から ゲゼル に 至るまで， ペリシテ 人を 討ち 滅ぼした．

- And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.
- And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
- And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
- And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.
- And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.
