- わが 子よ， わたしの 言葉に 耳を 傾けよ． わたしの 言うことに 耳を 向けよ．
- 見失うことなく， 心に 納めて 守れ．
- それらに 到達する 者にとって， それは 命となり ／全身を 健康にする．
- 何を 守るよりも， 自分の 心を 守れ． そこに 命の 源がある．
- 曲がった 言葉をあなたの 口から 退け ／ひねくれた 言葉を 唇から 遠ざけよ．

- My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
- Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
- For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
- Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
- Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
