예레미야 44:15-46:28

 예레미야는 우상 숭배를 고집하는 일부 백성들에게 유다의 패망 원인이 우상 숭배였음을 깨우쳐 주면서, 그들이 하나님을 섬기지 못하게 될 것과 소수를 제외하고는 바벨론 왕에게 죽임을 당할 것을 예고하였다. 하나님은 예언을 기록한 뒤 낙심해 있던 바룩에게 재앙중에도 그의 생명을 보호해 주시겠다고 약속하셨다. 그리고 애굽이 바벨론에 의해 멸망하고 이스라엘이 구원될 것을 약속하셨다.
  
 
  1. すると， 自分たちの 妻が 異敎の 神¿に 香をたいているのを 知っている 男たち， そこに 多く 集まって 居合わせていた 女たち， 更には エジプト の 上 エジプト に 住む 人¿がこぞって エレミヤ に 反論して 言った．
  2. 「あなたが 主の 名を 借りて 我¿に 語った 言葉に 聞き 從う 者はない．
  3. 我¿は 誓ったとおり 必ず 行い， 天の 女王に 香をたき， ぶどう 酒を 注いで 獻げ 物とする． 我¿は， 昔から 父祖たちも 歷代の 王も 高官たちも， ユダ の 町¿と エルサレム の 巷でそうしてきたのだ． 我¿は 食物に 滿ち 足り， 豊かで， 災いを 見ることはなかった．
  4. ところが， 天の 女王に 香をたくのをやめ， ぶどう 酒を 注いでささげなくなって 以來， 我¿はすべてのものに 欠乏し， 劍と 飢鴨によって 滅亡の 狀態に 陷った．
  5. また， 女たちは， 『わたしたちが 天の 女王に 香をたき， ぶどう 酒を 注いでささげていたとき， 天の 女王の 像をかたどった パン を 供え， ぶどう� ¿¿¿い 任氣氣歐燭里蓮 ·廚眈誼里里 Δ ┐里海箸任呂覆 ·辰燭任靴¿ Δ ·戮¿世辰拭 ·�
  1. Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,
  2. As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.
  3. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
  4. But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.
  5. And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?
  1. そこで， エレミヤ は， 男女を 問わず， 彼に 反論したすべての 者に 向かって， 次のように 言った．
  2. 「お 前たちは， 父祖たちや 歷代の 王と 高官， 國の 民と 同樣， ユダ の 町¿や エルサレム の 巷で 香をたいたが， そのことを 主が 覺えておられず， 心に 留めておられないことがありえようか．
  3. 主は， お 前たちが 行った 惡行や 忌むべきことをもはや 忍ぶことはおできにならなかった． だからお 前たちの 國は 今日のように 荒れ 果てて 廢虛と 化し， ののしりの 的となり， 住む 人もいなくなったのだ．
  4. お 前たちが 香をたき， 主に 罪を 犯し， 主の 聲に 聞き 從わず， 律法と ¿と 勸めに 從って 步まなかったために， 今日のようにこの 災いが 臨んだのだ． 」
  5. エレミヤ は 一同と 女たちに 向かって 言った． 「エジプト にいる ユダ のすべての 人よ， 主の 言葉を 聞け．
  1. Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,
  2. The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind?
  3. So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.
  4. Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.
  5. Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:
  1. イスラエル の 神， 万軍の 主はこう 言われる． お 前たちは， 妻たちと 共に 口で 約束した 事は 手で 實行する， 我¿が 天の 女王に 香をたき， ぶどう 酒を 注いでささげると 誓った 以上， 必ず 誓いを 果たす， と 言っている． お 前たちの 誓いを 果たし， 誓いを 必ず 實行するがよい．
  2. それゆえ， エジプト に 住む ユダ のすべての 人よ， 主の 言葉を 聞け． わたしはわが 大いなる 名にかけて 誓う， と 主は 言われる． エジプト 全土の ユダ の 人¿の 中に， 『神である 主は 生きておられる 』と 言って， わたしの 名を 口に 唱えて 誓う 人はひとりもなくなる．
  3. 見よ， わたしは 彼らに 災いをくだそうとして 見張っている． 幸いを 與えるためではない． エジプト にいる ユダ の 人¿は， ひとり 殘らず 劍と 飢鴨に 襲われて 滅びる．
  4. 劍を 逃れて エジプト の 地から ユダ の 國へ 歸還する 者の 數はまことにわずかである． そのとき エジプト へ 移って 寄留した ユダ の 殘留者はすべて， わたしの 言葉か， 彼らの 言葉か， どちらが 本當であったかを 悟るであろう．
  5. このことこそ， わたしがこの 場所でお 前たちを 罰したことのしるしとなるであろう， と 主は 言われる． そしてお 前たちに 災いを 告げたわたしの 言葉が 實現したことを 知るようになる．
  1. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
  2. Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.
  3. Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.
  4. Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or their's.
  5. And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:
  1. 主はこう 言われる． わたしは， エジプト の 王である ファラオ ， ホフラ を， その 命を 求める 敵の 手に 渡す． ちょうど ユダ の 王 ゼデキヤ を， その 命を 求める 敵， バビロン の 王 ネブカドレツァル の 手に 渡したように． 」
  1. Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaohhophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.
 
  바룩에게 주신 약속(45:1-45:5)    
 
  1. ユダ の 王 ヨシヤ の 子 ヨヤキム の 第四年に， ネリヤ の 子 バルク は， 預言者 エレミヤ の 口述に 從ってこれらの 言葉を 卷物に 書き 記した． そのとき， エレミヤ は 次のように 語った．
  2. 「バルク よ， イスラエル の 神， 主は， あなたについてこう 言われる．
  3. あなたは， かつてこう 言った． 『ああ， 災いだ． 主は， わたしの 苦しみに 悲しみを 加えられた． わたしは 疲れ 果てて 呻き， 安らぎを 得ない． 』
  4. バルク にこう 言いなさい． 主はこう 言われる． わたしは 建てたものを 破壞し， 植えたものを 拔く． 全世界をこのようにする．
  5. あなたは 自分に 何か 大きなことを 期待しているのか． そのような 期待を 抱いてはならない． なぜなら， わたしは 生けるものすべてに 災いをくだそうとしているからだ， と 主は 言われる． ただ， あなたの 命だけは， どこへ 行っても 守り， あなたに 與える． 」
  1. The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
  2. Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch:
  3. Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.
  4. Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.
  5. And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.
 
  애굽에 대한 예언(46:1-46:28)    
 
  1. 預言者 エレミヤ に 臨んだ 諸國民に 對する 主の 言葉．
  2. エジプト に 向かって． すなわち， ユ ― フラテス 河畔の カルケミシュ に 近い 地点に 出陣していた エジプト の 王 ファラオ · ネコ の 軍隊に 對する 言葉． バビロン の 王 ネブカドレツァル は， ユダ の 王， ヨシヤ の 子 ヨヤキム の 第四年に 彼らを 擊ち 破った．
  3. 盾と 大盾を 取って， 戰いに 出よ．
  4. 騎兵よ， 鞍を 置き， 馬に 乘れ． 兜をかぶり， 隊を 整えよ． 槍を 構え， 鎧を 着けよ．
  5. 何故， 彼らは 隊を 亂して 退くのか． 勇士らはちりぢりに 逃げ 去るのか． 彼らは 振り 向くこともしない． 恐怖が 四方から 迫る， と 主は 言われる．
  1. The word of the LORD which came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Gentiles;
  2. Against Egypt, against the army of Pharaohnecho king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smote in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah.
  3. Order ye the buckler and shield, and draw near to battle.
  4. Harness the horses; and get up, ye horsemen, and stand forth with your helmets; furbish the spears, and put on the brigandines.
  5. Wherefore have I seen them dismayed and turned away back? and their mighty ones are beaten down, and are fled apace, and look not back: for fear was round about, saith the LORD.
  1. 素早い 者も 逃げきれず ／勇士も 免れることはない． 北で， ユ ― フラテス 川の 岸邊で ／彼らはよろめき 倒れた．
  2. ナイル のように 湧き 上がり ／大河のように 逆卷く 者は 誰か．
  3. エジプト は ナイル のように 湧き 上がり ／大河のように 逆卷く． 彼は 言う． 「わたしは 湧き 上がって 大地を 覆い ／都とその 住民を 滅ぼし 盡くす．
  4. 勇士たちよ， 馬に 乘り ／戰車を 驅って 突進せよ． 盾を 取る クシュ と プト の 兵よ． 弓を 引く ルド の 兵よ． 」
  5. その 日は， 主なる 万軍の 神の 日 ／主が 敵に 報いられる 報復の 日． 劍は 肉を 食らって 飽き， 血を 滴らす． それは， 主なる 万軍の 神のいけにえとなる ／北の 地， ユ ― フラテス の 岸邊で．
  1. Let not the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape; they shall stumble, and fall toward the north by the river Euphrates.
  2. Who is this that cometh up as a flood, whose waters are moved as the rivers?
  3. Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.
  4. Come up, ye horses; and rage, ye chariots; and let the mighty men come forth; the Ethiopians and the Libyans, that handle the shield; and the Lydians, that handle and bend the bow.
  5. For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.
  1. おとめである 娘 エジプト よ ／ ギレアド に 上り， 乳香を 手に 入れよ． いくら 手當てをしても 無馱だ ／傷がいやされることはない．
  2. 諸國民はお 前が 辱められるのを 聞いた． お 前の 悲鳴は 地を 滿たす． 勇士は 勇士と 共によろめき， もろともに 倒れる．
  3. 主が 預言者 エレミヤ に 語られた 言葉． バビロン の 王 ネブカドレツァル が エジプト の 國を 擊つために 出陣することについて．
  4. エジプト で 告げ， ミグドル で 知らせよ． メンフィス と タフパンヘス で 知らせて 言え． 「隊を 整え， 準備せよ． 劍はお 前の 周圍を 食い 盡くす． 」
  5. 何故， アピス は 逃げたのか ／お 前の 雄牛は 耐ええなかったのか． 主が 彼を 追い 拂われたのだ．
  1. Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shalt thou use many medicines; for thou shalt not be cured.
  2. The nations have heard of thy shame, and thy cry hath filled the land: for the mighty man hath stumbled against the mighty, and they are fallen both together.
  3. The word that the LORD spake to Jeremiah the prophet, how Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon should come and smite the land of Egypt.
  4. Declare ye in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Noph and in Tahpanhes: say ye, Stand fast, and prepare thee; for the sword shall devour round about thee.
  5. Why are thy valiant men swept away? they stood not, because the LORD did drive them.
  1. よろめき， 倒れる 者は 多く ／彼らは 互いに 言った． 「さあ， 我らの 民のもとへ 歸ろう． 脅かす 劍を 逃れて， 生まれた 國へ 歸ろう． 」
  2. 彼らは エジプト の 王 ファラオ の 名を ／「¿ぎ 立てるが， 時期を 逸する 者 」と 呼ぶ．
  3. 「わたしは 生きている 」と ／その 御名を 万軍の 主と 呼ばれる 王は 言われる． タボル が 山¿の 間にあるように ／ カルメル 山が 海邊にそびえているように ／彼は 確かに 來る．
  4. 安らかに 住んでいる 娘 エジプト よ． 捕囚として 行く 支度をせよ． メンフィス は 荒廢し ／燒き 拂われて， 住む 人はいなくなる．
  5. エジプト は 美しい 雌の 子牛だ． あぶが 北から 襲いかかる．
  1. He made many to fall, yea, one fell upon another: and they said, Arise, and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing sword.
  2. They did cry there, Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he hath passed the time appointed.
  3. As I live, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.
  4. O thou daughter dwelling in Egypt, furnish thyself to go into captivity: for Noph shall be waste and desolate without an inhabitant.
  5. Egypt is like a very fair heifer, but destruction cometh; it cometh out of the north.
  1. 彼女の 中にいる 傭兵も ／肥えた 子牛のようだ． その 彼らも 向きを 變え ／一齊に 逃げ， 耐えうるものはない． 災いの 日が 彼らを 襲い ／彼らの 罰せられるときが 來るからだ．
  2. 力をもって 敵が 迫るとき ／ エジプト の 聲は 蛇が 逃げるように 消える． 敵はきこりのように ／斧をかざして 襲いかかる．
  3. 彼らはその 森を 切り 倒す， と 主は 言われる． 森が 彼らを 遮るからだ． 敵の 數はいなごよりも 多くて， 數えきれない．
  4. 娘 エジプト は 恥を 受け ／彼らは 北からの 民の 手に 渡された．
  5. 万軍の 主， イスラエル の 神は 言われた． 「見よ， わたしは テ ― ベ の 神 アモン を 罰する． また ファラオ と エジプト ， その 神¿と 王たち， ファラオ と 彼に 賴る 者を 罰する．
  1. Also her hired men are in the midst of her like fatted bullocks; for they also are turned back, and are fled away together: they did not stand, because the day of their calamity was come upon them, and the time of their visitation.
  2. The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood.
  3. They shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable.
  4. The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north.
  5. The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and all them that trust in him:
  1. わたしは， 命を 求める 者の 手に 彼らを 渡す． すなわち， バビロン の 王 ネブカドレツァル とその 家來たちの 手に． その 後， エジプト は 昔のように 人の 住む 所となる 」と 主は 言われる．
  2. わたしの 僕 ヤコブ よ， 恐れるな． イスラエル よ， おののくな． 見よ， わたしはお 前を 遠い 地から ／お 前の 子孫を 捕囚の 地から 救い 出す． ヤコブ は 歸って 來て， 安らかに 住む． 彼らを 脅かす 者はいない．
  3. わたしの 僕 ヤコブ よ， 恐れるなと ／主は 言われる． わたしがお 前と 共にいる． お 前を 追いやった 國¿をわたしは 滅ぼし 盡くす． お 前を 滅ぼし 盡くすことはない． わたしはお 前を 正しく 懲らしめる． 罰せずにおくことは 決してない．
  1. And I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterward it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith the LORD.
  2. But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
  3. Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
