- 神は， かつて 預言者たちによって， 多くのかたちで， また 多くのしかたで 先祖に 語られたが，
- この 終わりの 時代には， 御子によってわたしたちに 語られました． 神は， この 御子を 万物の 相續者と 定め， また， 御子によって 世界を 創造されました．
- 御子は， 神の 榮光の 反映であり， 神の 本質の 完全な 現れであって， 万物を 御自分の 力ある 言葉によって 支えておられますが， 人¿の 罪を 淸められた 後， 天の 高い 所におられる 大いなる 方の 右の 座にお 着きになりました．
- 御子は， 天使たちより 優れた 者となられました． 天使たちの 名より 優れた 名を 受け 繼がれたからです．
- いったい 神は， かつて 天使のだれに， ／「あなたはわたしの 子， ／わたしは 今日， あなたを 産んだ 」と 言われ， 更にまた， ／「わたしは 彼の 父となり， ／彼はわたしの 子となる 」と 言われたでしょうか．

- God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
- Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
- Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
- Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
- For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

- 更にまた， 神はその 長子をこの 世界に 送るとき， ／「神の 天使たちは 皆， 彼を 禮拜せよ 」と 言われました．
- また， 天使たちに 關しては， ／「神は， その 天使たちを 風とし， ／御自分に 仕える 者たちを 燃える 炎とする 」と 言われ，
- 一方， 御子に 向かっては， こう 言われました． 「神よ， あなたの 玉座は 永遠に 續き， ／また， 公正の ヴ が 御國の ヴ である．
- あなたは 義を 愛し， 不法を 憎んだ． それゆえ， 神よ， あなたの 神は， 喜びの 油を， ／あなたの 仲間に 注ぐよりも 多く， あなたに 注いだ． 」
- また， こうも 言われています． 「主よ， あなたは 初めに 大地の 基を 据えた． もろもろの 天は， あなたの 手の 業である．

- And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
- And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
- But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
- Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
- And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

- これらのものは， やがて 滅びる． だが， あなたはいつまでも 生きている． すべてのものは， 衣のように 古び 廢れる．
- あなたが 外套のように 卷くと， ／これらのものは， 衣のように 變わってしまう． しかし， あなたは 變わることなく， ／あなたの 年は 盡きることがない． 」
- 神は， かつて 天使のだれに 向かって， ／「わたしがあなたの 敵をあなたの 足台とするまで， ／わたしの 右に 座っていなさい 」と 言われたことがあるでしょうか．
- 天使たちは 皆， 奉仕する 靈であって， 救いを 受け 繼ぐことになっている 人¿に 仕えるために， 遣わされたのではなかったですか．

- They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
- And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
- But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
- Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
