여호수아 11:1-12:24

 남부 지역의 패배 소식을 들은 가나안 북부 왕들이 연합군을 형성하여 메롬 물가에 진을 쳤으나, 이스라엘은 하나님의 도우심으로 그들을 진멸하고 북부 지역을 점령함으로써 가나안 전역을 차지했다. 이스라엘에게 패망한 이방 왕들의 명단을 기록함으로써 가나안 정복 기사를 끝맺었다.
  
  북부 가나안 정복(11:1-11:23)    
 
  1. ハツォル の 王 ヤビン はこの 事を 聞くと， マドン の 王 ヨバブ ， シムオン の 王， アクシャフ の 王，
  2. 更には 北部山地， キネレト の 南の アラバ ， シェフェラ ， 西方の ドル 台地の 王たちに 使いを 送った．
  3. 彼らは， 東西兩 カナン 人， アモリ 人， ヘト 人， ペリジ 人， 山地の エブス 人， ヘルモン 山のふもと， ミツパ の 地に 住む ヒビ 人であった．
  4. 彼らは 全軍勢を 率いて 出動したが， それは 浜邊の 砂の 數ほどの 大軍となり， 軍馬， 戰車も 非常に 多かった．

  1. Then it came about, when Jabin king of Hazor heard of it, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon and to the king of Shimron and to the king of Achshaph,
  2. and to the kings who were of the north in the hill country, and in the Arabah--south of Chinneroth and in the lowland and on the heights of Dor on the west--
  3. to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Jebusite in the hill country, and the Hivite at the foot of Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.
  4. They came out, they and all their armies with them, as many people as the sand that is on the seashore, with very many horses and chariots.
  5. So all of these kings having agreed to meet, came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
  1. 主は ヨシュア に 言われた． 「彼らを 恐れてはならない． わたしは 明日の 今ごろ， 彼らすべてを イスラエル に 渡して 殺させる． あなたは 彼らの 馬の 足の 筋を 切り， 戰車を 燒き 拂え． 」
  2. ヨシュア は 全軍を 率いて メロム の 水場にいる 敵を 急襲した．
  3. 主が 彼らを イスラエル の 手に 渡されたので， イスラエル はこれを 擊ち， 大 シドン および ミスレフォト · マイム まで， また 東に 向かっては ミツパ 平原まで 追擊し， 彼らを 擊って 一人も 殘さなかった．
  4. ヨシュア は， 彼らに 對して 主の 告げたとおりにし， 馬の 足の 筋を 切り， 戰車を 燒き 拂った．
  5. このとき， ヨシュア は 引き 返して， ハツォル を 占領し， その 王を 劍で 打ち 殺した． ハツォル は 昔， これらの 王國の 盟主であったからである．
  1. Then the LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow at this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel; you shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire."
  2. So Joshua and all the people of war with him came upon them suddenly by the waters of Merom, and attacked them.
  3. The LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, so that they defeated them, and pursued them as far as Great Sidon and Misrephoth-maim and the valley of Mizpeh to the east; and they struck them until no survivor was left to them.
  4. Joshua did to them as the LORD had told him; he hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.
  5. Then Joshua turned back at that time, and captured Hazor and struck its king with the sword; for Hazor formerly was the head of all these kingdoms.
  1. 彼らは， 劍をもって ハツォル の 全住民を 擊ち， 滅ぼし 盡くして 息ある 者を 一人も 殘さず， ハツォル を 火で 燒いた．
  2. ヨシュア は 他の 王の 町¿をすべて 占領し， 王たちを 捕らえ， 主の 僕 モ ― セ が 命じたように 劍をもって 彼らを 擊ち， これを 滅ぼし 盡くしたが，
  3. ヨシュア が 燒き 拂ったのは ハツォル だけで， その 他の 丘の 上に 建てられた 町¿を イスラエル は 燒き 拂わなかった．
  4. これらの 町¿の 分捕り 品と 家畜はことごとく， イスラエル の 人¿が 自分たちのために 奪い 取った． 彼らはしかし， 人間をことごとく 劍にかけて 擊って 滅ぼし 去り， 息のある 者は 一人も 殘さなかった．
  5. 主がその 僕 モ ― セ に 命じられたとおり， モ ― セ は ヨシュア に 命じ， ヨシュア はそのとおりにした． 主が モ ― セ に 命じられたことで 行わなかったことは 何一つなかった．
  1. They struck every person who was in it with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them; there was no one left who breathed. And he burned Hazor with fire.
  2. Joshua captured all the cities of these kings, and all their kings, and he struck them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them; just as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded.
  3. However, Israel did not burn any cities that stood on their mounds, except Hazor alone, which Joshua burned.
  4. All the spoil of these cities and the cattle, the sons of Israel took as their plunder; but they struck every man with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them. They left no one who breathed.
  5. Just as the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses.
  1. ヨシュア の 占領地は， この 地方全域である． すなわち， 山地， ネゲブ 全域， ゴシェン の 全地域， シェフェラ ， アラバ ， イスラエル の 山地とそれに 續く シェフェラ ，
  2. すなわち セイル 途上にある ハラク 山から 北は ヘルモン 山のふもとにある レバノン の 谷にある バアル · ガド までである． ヨシュア はこの 地域の 王たちを 皆捕らえて 打ち， 處刑した．
  3. ヨシュア とこれらすべての 王たちとの 戰いは 長い 年月にわたり，
  4. ギブオン に 住む ヒビ 人以外に イスラエル の 人¿と 和を 結んだ 町は 一つもなかった． その 他はすべて 戰って 獲得したのである．
  5. 彼らの 心をかたくなにして イスラエル と 戰わせたのは 主であるから， 彼らは 一片の 憐れみを 得ることもなく 滅ぼし 盡くされた． 主は， モ ― セ に 命じたとおりに， 彼らを 滅ぼし 去られた．
  1. Thus Joshua took all that land: the hill country and all the Negev, all that land of Goshen, the lowland, the Arabah, the hill country of Israel and its lowland
  2. from Mount Halak, that rises toward Seir, even as far as Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon at the foot of Mount Hermon And he captured all their kings and struck them down and put them to death.
  3. Joshua waged war a long time with all these kings.
  4. There was not a city which made peace with the sons of Israel except the Hivites living in Gibeon; they took them all in battle.
  5. For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, to meet Israel in battle in order that he might utterly destroy them, that they might receive no mercy, but that he might destroy them, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
  1. このとき， ヨシュア は 攻め ¿んで アナク 人を 山地， ヘブロン ， デビル ， アナブ から， ユダ の 山地および イスラエル の 山地から 一掃した． ヨシュア は 彼らをその 町もろとも 滅ぼし 盡くしたのである．
  2. アナク 人はそのため， イスラエル の 人¿の 領土から 姿を 消し， ガザ ， ガト ， アシュドド だけにわずかに 殘った．
  3. ヨシュア はこうして， この 地方全域を 獲得し， すべて 主が モ ― セ に 仰せになったとおりになった． ヨシュア は， それを イスラエル に 各部族の 配分に 從って 嗣業の 土地として 與えた． この 地方の 戰いは， こうして 終わった．
  1. Then Joshua came at that time and cut off the Anakim from the hill country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab and from all the hill country of Judah and from all the hill country of Israel. Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.
  2. There were no Anakim left in the land of the sons of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod some remained.
  3. So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had spoken to Moses, and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes Thus the land had rest from war.
 
  정복당한 왕들(12:1-12:24)    
 
  1. イスラエル の 人¿が ヨルダン 川の 向こう 側， すなわち 東側で 征服し， 占領した 國¿とその 王は 次のとおりである． アルノン 川から ヘルモン 山まで， 東 アラバ 全域．
  2. アモリ 人の 王 シホン ． ヘシュボン に 居を 構え， その 支配は， アルノン 川沿いにある 町 アロエル から 川の 中部を ヤボク 川まで， および アンモン の 人¿の 國境までの ギレアド の 半分，
  3. キネレト 湖東岸から アラバ の 海， すなわち 鹽の 海の 東岸， ベト · エシモト を 南下して ピスガ のすそ 野の 延びている 地域に 至る 東 アラバ 地方である．
  4. レファイム の 生き 殘りである バシャン の 王 オグ ． アシュタロト と エドレイ に 居を 構え，
  5. その 支配は， ヘルモン 山， サルカ 地方， ゲシュル 人， マアカ 人に 國境を 接する バシャン 全域および ヘシュボン の 王 シホン の 國と 境を 接する ギレアド の 半分である．
  1. Now these are the kings of the land whom the sons of Israel defeated, and whose land they possessed beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise, from the valley of the Arnon as far as Mount Hermon, and all the Arabah to the east:
  2. Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, both the middle of the valley and half of Gilead, even as far as the brook Jabbok, the border of the sons of Ammon;
  3. and the Arabah as far as the Sea of Chinneroth toward the east, and as far as the sea of the Arabah, even the Salt Sea, eastward toward Beth-jeshimoth, and on the south, at the foot of the slopes of Pisgah;
  4. and the territory of Og king of Bashan, one of the remnant of Rephaim, who lived at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,
  5. and ruled over Mount Hermon and Salecah and all Bashan, as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and half of Gilead, as far as the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.
  1. 主の 僕 モ ― セ の 率いる イスラエル の 人¿が 二人の 王を 打ち 殺した 後， これらの 地域は 主の 僕 モ ― セ によって ルベン 人， ガド 人， マナセ の 半部族に 領地として 與えられた．
  2. ヨシュア の 率いる イスラエル の 人¿が ヨルダン 川のこちら 側， すなわち 西側で 征服した 國の 王は 次のとおりである． ヨシュア は， レバノン の 谷にある バアル · ガド から セイル 途上にある ハラク 山に 至る 地域を イスラエル 各部族にその 配分に 從って 領地として 與えた．

  1. Moses the servant of the LORD and the sons of Israel defeated them; and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it to the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh as a possession.
  2. Now these are the kings of the land whom Joshua and the sons of Israel defeated beyond the Jordan toward the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon even as far as Mount Halak, which rises toward Seir; and Joshua gave it to the tribes of Israel as a possession according to their divisions,
  3. in the hill country, in the lowland, in the Arabah, on the slopes, and in the wilderness, and in the Negev; the Hittite, the Amorite and the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite:
  4. the king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one;
  5. the king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;

  2. エグロン の 王一名， ゲゼル の 王一名，
  3. デビル の 王一名， ゲデル の 王一名，
  4. ホルマ の 王一名， アラド の 王一名，

  1. the king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;
  2. the king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;
  3. the king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;
  4. the king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one;
  5. the king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one;
  1. マケダ の 王一名， ベテル の 王一名，
  2. タプア の 王一名， ヘフェル の 王一名，
  3. シャロン にある アフェク の 王一名，
  4. マドン の 王一名， ハツォル の 王一名，
  5. シムオン の 王一名， メロン の 王一名， アクシャフ の 王一名，
  1. the king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one;
  2. the king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;
  3. the king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;
  4. the king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one;
  5. the king of Shimron-meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;
  1. タナク の 王一名， メギド の 王一名，
  2. ケデシュ の 王一名， カルメル の ヨクネアム の 王一名，
  3. ドル 台地の ドル の 王一名， ガリラヤ の ゴイム の 王一名，
  4. ティルツァ の 王一名， 計三十一名の 王である．
  1. the king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;
  2. the king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam in Carmel, one;
  3. the king of Dor in the heights of Dor, one; the king of Goiim in Gilgal, one;
  4. the king of Tirzah, one: in all, thirty-one kings.
