- 石は 重く， 砂も 目方がかかる． 無知な 者が 不機嫌なのはどちらよりも 重い．
- 憤りは 殘忍， 怒りは 洪水． ねたみの 前に 誰が 耐ええようか．
- あらわな 戒めは， 隱された 愛にまさる．

- Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips.
- A stone is heavy and the sand weighty, But the provocation of a fool is heavier than both of them.
