나훔

  본서는 앗수르가 멸망한 직후인 주전 612년경에 기록된 것으로, 앗수르의 앗술바니팔 시대부터 니느웨가 함락될 때까지의 일들을 기록하고 있다. 역사적으로 이 때는 북이스라엘이 멸망한 지 약 100년이 되었을 때였으며, 강대국 앗수르가 쇠퇴하고 신흥 바벨론이 새로운 강대국으로 부상하고 있었다. 당시 앗수르의 수도 니느웨는 70여 년 전 요나의 메시지를 통해 회개하고 구원받았던 하나님의 은혜를 망각하고 불의와 악을 행하였다. 이러한 때에 선지자로 부름받은 나훔은 앗수르의 수도 니느웨의 멸망을 예언하면서 하나님의 백성에게 위로의 메시지를 전하였다.

  본서는 불의한 니느웨 성의 멸망을 예언함으로써 불의와 죄악을 결코 간과하시지 않으시는 하나님의 공의를 부각시키고 있다. 반면에 유다의 회복에 대한 예언을 통해 당신의 백성을 끝까지 버리지 않으시는 하나님의 사랑과 신실하심도 보여 주고 있다

 

 

나훔 1:1-3:19

 나훔은 죄악이 가득한 니느웨가 하나님의 심판을 받아 멸망할 것이라고 선포하였다. 그는 니느웨가 적의 침략을 받아 멸망할 것이라고 예언하면서, 멸망 이후 황폐된 니느웨의 모습을 상세히 묘사하였다. 나훔은 니느웨의 여러 죄악을 지적하고 니느웨에 대한 하나님의 심판은 피할 수 없는 것임을 말하였다.
  
  니느웨 멸망(1:1-3:19)    
 
  1. ニネベ についての 託宣． エルコシュ の 人 ナホム の 幻を 記した 書．
  2. 主は 熱情の 神， 報復を 行われる 方． 主は 報復し， 激しく 怒られる． 主は 敵に 報復し ／仇に 向かって 怒りを 抱かれる．
  3. 主は 忍耐强く， その 力は 大きい． 主は 決して 罰せずにはおられない． その 道はつむじ 風と 嵐の 中にあり ／雲は 御足の 塵である．
  4. 主は 海を 叱って， 乾かし ／すべての 川を 干上がらせられる． バシャン と カルメル は 衰え ／ レバノン の 花はしおれる．
  5. 山¿は 主の 御前に 震え ／もろもろの 丘は 溶ける． 大地は 主の 御前に 滅びる ／世界とそこに 住むすべての 者も．

  2. A jealous and avenging God is the LORD; The LORD is avenging and wrathful The LORD takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies.
  3. The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, And the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished In whirlwind and storm is His way, And clouds are the dust beneath His feet.
  4. He rebukes the sea and makes it dry; He dries up all the rivers Bashan and Carmel wither; The blossoms of Lebanon wither.
  5. Mountains quake because of Him And the hills dissolve; Indeed the earth is upheaved by His presence, The world and all the inhabitants in it.
  1. 主の 憤りの 前に， 誰が 耐ええようか ／誰が 燃える 御怒りに 立ち 向かいえようか． 主の 憤りが 火のように 注がれると ／岩も 御前に 打ち ¿かれる．
  2. 主は 惠み 深く， 苦しみの 日には 砦となり ／主に 身を 寄せる 者を 御心に 留められる．
  3. みなぎる 洪水で 逆らう 者を 滅ぼし ／仇を 闇に 追いやられる．
  4. お 前たちは 主に 對して 何をたくらむのか． 主は 滅ぼし 盡くし ／敵を 二度と 立ち 上がれなくされる．
  5. 彼らは 酒に 醉いしれ ／絡み 合った 茨のようになっているが ／乾ききったわらのように 燒き 盡くされる．
  1. Who can stand before His indignation? Who can endure the burning of His anger? His wrath is poured out like fire And the rocks are broken up by Him.
  2. The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him.
  3. But with an overflowing flood He will make a complete end of its site, And will pursue His enemies into darkness.
  4. Whatever you devise against the LORD, He will make a complete end of it. Distress will not rise up twice.
  5. Like tangled thorns, And like those who are drunken with their drink, They are consumed As stubble completely withered.
  1. 主に 對して 惡事をたくらみ ／よこしまな 事を 謀る 者が ／あなたの 中から 出た．
  2. 主はこう 言われる． 「彼らは 力に 滿ち， 數が 多くても ／必ず， 切り 倒され， 消えうせる． わたしはお 前を 苦しめたが ／二度と 苦しめはしない．
  3. 今， わたしは 彼の 阿を ¿いてお 前から 除き ／お 前をつないでいた 鎖を 斷ち 切る． 」
  4. 主はお 前について 定められた． 「お 前の 名を 繼ぐ 子孫は， もはや 與えられない． わたしは， お 前の 神の 宮から ／彫像と 鑄像を 斷ち ／辱められたお 前のために 墓を 掘る． 」
  1. From you has gone forth One who plotted evil against the LORD, A wicked counselor.
  2. Thus says the LORD, "Though they are at full strength and likewise many, Even so, they will be cut off and pass away Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no longer.
  3. "So now, I will break his yoke bar from upon you, And I will tear off your shackles."
  4. The LORD has issued a command concerning you: "Your name will no longer be perpetuated I will cut off idol and image From the house of your gods I will prepare your grave, For you are contemptible."
  5. Behold, on the mountains the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace! Celebrate your feasts, O Judah; Pay your vows For never again will the wicked one pass through you; He is cut off completely.
 
 
  1. 見よ， 良い 知らせを 傳え ／平和を 告げる 者の 足は 山の 上を 行く． ユダ よ， お 前の 祭りを 祝い， 誓願を 果たせ． 二度と， よこしまな 者が ／お 前の 土地を 侵すことはない． 彼らはすべて 滅ぼされた．
  2. 襲いかかる 敵がお 前に 向かって 上ってくる． 砦を 守り， 道を 見張れ． 腰の 帶を 締め， 力を 盡くせ．
  3. 主は ヤコブ の 誇りを 回復される ／ イスラエル の 誇りも 同じように． 略奪する 者が 彼らを 略奪し ／その 枝を 荒らしはしたが．
  4. 勇士の 盾は 赤く ／戰士は 緋色の 服をまとう． 戰の 備えをする 日に ／戰車の 鋼鐵は 火のように 輝き ／槍は ¿れる．
  5. 戰車は 通りを 狂い 走り， 廣場を 突き 進む． その 樣は 松明のように 輝き ／稻妻のように 走る．
  1. The one who scatters has come up against you. Man the fortress, watch the road; Strengthen your back, summon all your strength.
  2. For the LORD will restore the splendor of Jacob Like the splendor of Israel, Even though devastators have devastated them And destroyed their vine branches.
  3. The shields of his mighty men are colored red, The warriors are dressed in scarlet, The chariots are enveloped in flashing steel When he is prepared to march, And the cypress spears are brandished.
  4. The chariots race madly in the streets, They rush wildly in the squares, Their appearance is like torches, They dash to and fro like lightning flashes.
  5. He remembers his nobles; They stumble in their march, They hurry to her wall, And the mantelet is set up.
  1. 將軍たちは 召集されるが， 途上でつまずく． 人¿は 城壁へと 急ぎ， 防御車を 据える．
  2. 流れに 面した 門は 開かれ， 宮殿は ¿れ 動く．
  3. 王妃は 引き 出され， 衣をはがれて 連れ 去られた． 侍女たちは 鳩のような 聲で 嘆き， 胸を 打つ．
  4. ニネベ は， 建てられたときから ／水を 集める 池のようであった． しかし， 水は 流れ 出して ／「止まれ， 止まれ 」と 言っても ／だれも 振り 返らない．
  5. 「銀を 奪え， 金を 奪え． 」その 財寶は 限りなく ／あらゆる 寶物が 溢れている．
  1. The gates of the rivers are opened And the palace is dissolved.
  2. It is fixed: She is stripped, she is carried away, And her handmaids are moaning like the sound of doves, Beating on their breasts.
  3. Though Nineveh was like a pool of water throughout her days, Now they are fleeing; "Stop, stop," But no one turns back.
  4. Plunder the silver! Plunder the gold! For there is no limit to the treasure-- Wealth from every kind of desirable object.
  5. She is emptied! Yes, she is desolate and waste! Hearts are melting and knees knocking! Also anguish is in the whole body And all their faces are grown pale!
  1. 破壞と 荒廢と 滅亡が 臨み ／心は 挫け， 膝は 震え ／すべての 人の 腰はわななき ／すべての 人の 顔はおののきを 示した．
  2. 獅子の 住みかはどこにいったのか． それは 若獅子の 牧場だった． 獅子がそこを 去り ／雌獅子と 子獅子が 殘っていても ／脅かすものは 何もなかった．
  3. 獅子は 子獅子のために 獲物を 引き 裂き ／雌獅子のために 絞め 殺し ／洞穴を 獲物で ／住みかを 引き 裂いた 肉で 滿たした．
  4. 見よ， わたしはお 前に 立ち 向かうと ／万軍の 主は 言われる． わたしはお 前の 戰車を 燒いて 煙とし ／劍はお 前の 若獅子を 餌食とする． わたしはお 前の 獲物をこの 地から 斷つ． お 前の 使者たちの 聲はもう 聞かれない．
  1. Where is the den of the lions And the feeding place of the young lions, Where the lion, lioness and lion's cub prowled, With nothing to disturb them?
  2. The lion tore enough for his cubs, Killed enough for his lionesses, And filled his lairs with prey And his dens with torn flesh.
  3. "Behold, I am against you," declares the LORD of hosts "I will burn up her chariots in smoke, a sword will devour your young lions; I will cut off your prey from the land, and no longer will the voice of your messengers be heard."
 
 
  1. 災いだ， 流血の 町は． 町のすべては 僞りに 覆われ， 略奪に 滿ち ／人を 餌食にすることをやめない．
  2. 鞭の 音， 車輪の 響く 音 ／突進する 馬， 跳び 驅ける 戰車．
  3. 騎兵は 突擊し ／劍はきらめき， 槍はひらめく． 倒れる 者はおびただしく ／しかばねは 山をなし， 死體は 數えきれない． 人¿は 味方の 死體につまずく．
  4. 呪文を 唱えるあでやかな 遊女の ／果てしない 淫行のゆえに ／彼女がその 呪文によって 諸民族を ／淫行によって 國¿をとりこにしたゆえに
  5. 見よ， わたしはお 前に 立ち 向かうと ／万軍の 主は 言われる． わたしは， お 前の ¿を 顔の 上まで 上げ ／諸國の 民にお 前の 裸を ／もろもろの 王國にお 前の 恥を 見せる．
  1. Woe to the bloody city, completely full of lies and pillage; Her prey never departs.
  2. The noise of the whip, The noise of the rattling of the wheel, Galloping horses And bounding chariots!
  3. Horsemen charging, Swords flashing, spears gleaming, Many slain, a mass of corpses, And countless dead bodies-- They stumble over the dead bodies!
  4. All because of the many harlotries of the harlot, The charming one, the mistress of sorceries, Who sells nations by her harlotries And families by her sorceries.
  5. "Behold, I am against you," declares the LORD of hosts; "And I will lift up your skirts over your face, And show to the nations your nakedness And to the kingdoms your disgrace.
  1. わたしは， お 前に 憎むべきものを 投げつけ ／お 前を 辱め， 見せ 物にする．
  2. お 前を 見る 者は 皆， お 前から 逃げて 言う． 「ニネベ は 破壞された ／誰が 彼女のために 嘆くだろうか． 」お 前を 慰める 者はどこを 探してもいない．
  3. お 前は テ ― ベ にまさっているか． ナイル のほとりに 座し， 水に 圍まれ ／海を 砦とし， 水を 城壁としていたあの 町に．
  4. クシュ はその 力 ／ エジプト には 限りない 力があり ／ プト 人と リビア 人も テ ― ベ を 助けていた．
  5. 彼女もまた 捕らえられ ／捕囚として 連れ 去られた． 乳飮み 子すら， すべての 街角で 投げ 捨てられ ／貴族たちはくじで 分けられ ／大いなる 者も 皆， 鎖につながれた．
  1. "I will throw filth on you And make you vile, And set you up as a spectacle.
  2. "And it will come about that all who see you Will shrink from you and say, 'Nineveh is devastated! Who will grieve for her?' Where will I seek comforters for you?"
  3. Are you better than No-amon, Which was situated by the waters of the Nile, With water surrounding her, Whose rampart was the sea, Whose wall consisted of the sea?
  4. Ethiopia was her might, And Egypt too, without limits Put and Lubim were among her helpers.
  5. Yet she became an exile, She went into captivity; Also her small children were dashed to pieces At the head of every street; They cast lots for her honorable men, And all her great men were bound with fetters.
  1. お 前もまた， 醉いつぶれて 我を 失う． お 前もまた， 敵を 避けて 逃げ 場を 求める．
  2. お 前の 要塞はどれも ／初なりの 實をつけたいちじくの 木だ． ¿さぶれば， 實が 食べる 者の 口に 落ちる．
  3. 見よ， お 前のうちにいる 兵士は ／敵にとって 女のようだ． お 前の 國の 門は 廣く 開かれ ／かんぬきは 火で 燒き 盡くされる．
  4. ζ 城に 備えて 水をくみ， 要塞を 堅固にせよ． 泥の 中に 入って， 粘土を 踏み ／れんがの 型を 固く 取れ．
  5. その 所で， 火はお 前を 燒き 盡くし ／劍はお 前を 斷つ． 火はいなごが 食い 盡くすように ／お 前を 食い 盡くす． いなごのようにお 前は 數を 增せ． 移住するいなごのように 數を 增せ．
  1. You too will become drunk, You will be hidden. You too will search for a refuge from the enemy.
  2. All your fortifications are fig trees with ripe fruit-- When shaken, they fall into the eater's mouth.
  3. Behold, your people are women in your midst! The gates of your land are opened wide to your enemies; Fire consumes your gate bars.
  4. Draw for yourself water for the siege! Strengthen your fortifications! Go into the clay and tread the mortar! Take hold of the brick mold!
  5. There fire will consume you, The sword will cut you down; It will consume you as the locust does. Multiply yourself like the creeping locust, Multiply yourself like the swarming locust.
  1. お 前は 空の 星よりも 商人の 數を 多くした． しかし， いなごは 羽を 廣げて 飛び 去るのみ．
  2. お 前を 守る 部隊は， 移住するいなごのように ／お 前の 將軍たちは， 群がるいなごのように ／寒い 日には 城壁の 間に 身をひそめ ／日が 昇ると 飛び 去り ／どこへ 行くのかだれも 知らない．
  3. アッシリア の 王よ ／お 前の 牧者たちはまどろみ ／貴族たちは 眠りこける． お 前の 兵士たちは 山¿の 上に 散らされ ／集める 者はいない．
  4. お 前の 傷を 和らげるものはなく ／打たれた 傷は 重い． お 前のうわさを 聞く 者は 皆 ／お 前に 向かって 手をたたく． お 前の 惡にだれもが ／常に 惱まされてきたからだ．
  1. You have increased your traders more than the stars of heaven-- The creeping locust strips and flies away.
  2. Your guardsmen are like the swarming locust Your marshals are like hordes of grasshoppers Settling in the stone walls on a cold day. The sun rises and they flee, And the place where they are is not known.
  3. Your shepherds are sleeping, O king of Assyria; Your nobles are lying down Your people are scattered on the mountains And there is no one to regather them.
  4. There is no relief for your breakdown, Your wound is incurable All who hear about you Will clap their hands over you, For on whom has not your evil passed continually?
