- 兵士たちは 出て 行くと， シモン という 名前の キレネ 人に 出會ったので， イエス の 十字架を 無理に 擔がせた．
- そして， ゴルゴタ という 所， すなわち「されこうべの 場所 」に 着くと，
- 苦いものを 混ぜたぶどう 酒を 飮ませようとしたが， イエス はなめただけで， 飮もうとされなかった．
- 彼らは イエス を 十字架につけると， くじを 引いてその 服を 分け 合い，
- そこに 座って 見張りをしていた．

- And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.
- And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
- They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.
- And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
- And sitting down they watched him there;

- イエス の 頭の 上には， 「これは ユダヤ 人の 王 イエス である 」と 書いた 罪狀書きを 揭げた．
- 折から， イエス と 一緖に 二人の 强盜が， 一人は 右にもう 一人は 左に， 十字架につけられていた．
- そこを 通りかかった 人¿は， 頭を 振りながら イエス をののしって，
- 言った． 「神殿を 打ち 倒し， 三日で 建てる 者， 神の 子なら， 自分を 救ってみろ． そして 十字架から 降りて 來い． 」
- 同じように， 祭司長たちも 律法學者たちや 長老たちと 一緖に， イエス を 侮辱して 言った．

- And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
- Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.
- And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,
- And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
- Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

- 「他人は 救ったのに， 自分は 救えない． イスラエル の 王だ． 今すぐ 十字架から 降りるがいい． そうすれば， 信じてやろう．
- 神に 賴っているが， 神の 御心ならば， 今すぐ 救ってもらえ． 『わたしは 神の 子だ 』と 言っていたのだから． 」
- 一緖に 十字架につけられた 强盜たちも， 同じように イエス をののしった．
- さて， ¿の 十二時に， 全地は 暗くなり， それが 三時まで 續いた．
- 三時ごろ， イエス は 大聲で 叫ばれた． 「エリ ， エリ ， レマ ， サバクタニ ． 」これは， 「わが 神， わが 神， なぜわたしをお 見捨てになったのですか 」という 意味である．

- He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
- He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
- The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.
- Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
- And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

- そこに 居合わせた 人¿のうちには， これを 聞いて， 「この 人は エリヤ を 呼んでいる 」と 言う 者もいた．
- そのうちの 一人が， すぐに 走り 寄り， 海綿を 取って 酸いぶどう 酒を 含ませ， 葦の 棒に 付けて， イエス に 飮ませようとした．
- ほかの 人¿は， 「待て， エリヤ が 彼を 救いに 來るかどうか， 見ていよう 」と 言った．
- しかし， イエス は 再び 大聲で 叫び， 息を 引き 取られた．
- そのとき， 神殿の 垂れ 幕が 上から 下まで 眞っ 二つに 裂け， 地震が 起こり， 岩が 裂け，

- Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.
- And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
- The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
- Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
- And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

- 墓が 開いて， 眠りについていた 多くの 聖なる 者たちの 體が 生き 返った．
- そして， イエス の 復活の 後， 墓から ／出て 來て， 聖なる 都に 入り， 多くの 人¿に 現れた．
- 百人隊長や 一緖に イエス の 見張りをしていた 人たちは， 地震やいろいろの 出來事を 見て， 非常に 恐れ， 「本當に， この 人は 神の 子だった 」と 言った．
- またそこでは， 大勢の 婦人たちが 遠くから 見守っていた． この 婦人たちは， ガリラヤ から イエス に 從って 來て 世話をしていた 人¿である．
- その 中には， マグダラ の マリア ， ヤコブ と ヨセフ の 母 マリア ， ゼベダイ の 子らの 母がいた．

- And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
- And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
- Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
- And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:
- Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.

- 夕方になると， アリマタヤ 出身の 金持ちで ヨセフ という 人が 來た． この 人も イエス の 弟子であった．
- この 人が ピラト のところに 行って， イエス の 遺體を 渡してくれるようにと 願い 出た． そこで ピラト は， 渡すようにと 命じた．
- ヨセフ は イエス の 遺體を 受け 取ると， きれいな 亞麻布に 包み，
- 岩に 掘った 自分の 新しい 墓の 中に 納め， 墓の 入り 口には 大きな 石を 轉がしておいて 立ち 去った．
- マグダラ の マリア ともう 一人の マリア とはそこに 殘り， 墓の 方を 向いて 座っていた．

- When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:
- He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
- And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
- And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
- And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.

- 明くる 日， すなわち， 準備の 日の 翌日， 祭司長たちと ファリサイ 派の 人¿は， ピラト のところに 集まって，
- こう 言った． 「閣下， 人を 惑わすあの 者がまだ 生きていたとき， 『自分は 三日後に 復活する 』と 言っていたのを， わたしたちは 思い 出しました．
- ですから， 三日目まで 墓を 見張るように 命令してください． そうでないと， 弟子たちが 來て 死體を 盜み 出し， 『イエス は 死者の 中から 復活した 』などと 民衆に 言いふらすかもしれません． そうなると， 人¿は 前よりもひどく 惑わされることになります． 」
- ピラト は 言った． 「あなたたちには， 番兵がいるはずだ． 行って， しっかりと 見張らせるがよい． 」
- そこで， 彼らは 行って 墓の 石に 封印をし， 番兵をおいた．

- Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
- Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
- Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
- Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.
- So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
