	민수기 8:1-9:23 하나님을 섬기기 위해 레위인은 죄로부터 정결케 되는 의식을 행하였다. 회막에서 봉사하는 레위인들의 연령은 25세부터 50세까지였다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘 자손들에게 유월절 행사를 지키도록 명령하셨고, 40년 광야 생활 동안 불과 구름 기둥으로 인도하셨다.

	레위인의 성결(8:1-8:26)

主はモ ― セに仰せになった．

アロンに告げてこう言いなさい．あなたがともし火皿を載せるとき，七つのともし火皿が燭台の前方を照らすようにしなさい．

アロンは，主がモ ― セに命じられたように，燭台の前方を照らすようにともし火皿を載せた．

燭台は金の打ち出し作りで，その台座から花弁まで同じ打ち出し作りであった．これは，主がモ ― セに示された雛型に從って作られた燭台である．

主はモ ― セに仰せになった．

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

"Speak to Aaron and say to him, 'When you mount the lamps, the seven lamps will give light in the front of the lampstand.'"

Aaron therefore did so; he mounted its lamps at the front of the lampstand, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

Now this was the workmanship of the lampstand, hammered work of gold; from its base to its flowers it was hammered work; according to the pattern which the LORD had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.

Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

イスラエルの人¿の中からレビ人を取って，彼らを淸めなさい．

彼らを淸めるにはこうする．彼らに罪の淸めの水を振りかけ，體全體の毛をそらせ，衣服を水洗いさせると，彼らは淸められる．

次に，彼らに若い雄牛一頭，その穀物の獻げ物としてオリ ― ブ油を混ぜた上等の小麥粉， ·罪の獻げ物としてもう一頭の若い雄牛を用意させ，

レビ人を臨在の幕屋の前に進ませ，次いで，イスラエルの人¿の共同體全體を呼び集める．

そして，レビ人を主の御前に進ませ，イスラエルの人¿はレビ人の上に手を置く．

"Take the Levites from among the sons of Israel and cleanse them.

"Thus you shall do to them, for their cleansing: sprinkle purifying water on them, and let them use a razor over their whole body and wash their clothes, and they will be clean.

"Then let them take a bull with its grain offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and a second bull you shall take for a sin offering.

"So you shall present the Levites before the tent of meeting You shall also assemble the whole congregation of the sons of Israel,

and present the Levites before the LORD; and the sons of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites.

次に，アロンはイスラエルの人¿の奉納物として，レビ人を主の御前に差し出して主に仕える者とする．

レビ人は雄牛の頭に手を置く．アロンは，一頭を ·罪の獻げ物として，他の一頭を燒き盡くす獻げ物として主にささげて，レビ人のために罪を ·う儀式を行う．

あなたは，レビ人をアロンとその子らの前に立たせ，彼らを奉納物として主に差し出し，

レビ人をイスラエルの人¿から區別すると，レビ人はわたしのものとなる．

その後初めて，レビ人は臨在の幕屋に入って，作業に從事する．あなたは彼らを淸め，奉納物としなさい．

"Aaron then shall present the Levites before the LORD as a wave offering from the sons of Israel, that they may qualify to perform the service of the LORD.

"Now the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls; then offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to the LORD, to make atonement for the Levites.

"You shall have the Levites stand before Aaron and before his sons so as to present them as a wave offering to the LORD.

"Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the sons of Israel, and the Levites shall be Mine.

"Then after that the Levites may go in to serve the tent of meeting. But you shall cleanse them and present them as a wave offering;

彼らはイスラエルの人¿の中からわたしに屬する者とされている．彼らは，イスラエルの人¿のうちで初めに胎を開くすべての者，すなわちすべての長子の身代わりとして，わたしが受け取った者である．

イスラエルの人¿のうちに生まれた初子は，人間であれ，家畜であれ，すべてわたしのものである．エジプトの國ですべての初子を打ったとき，わたしは彼らを聖別して，わたしのものとした．

わたしはレビ人を，イスラエルの人¿のすべての長子の身代わりとして受け取った．

わたしはこのレビ人をイスラエルの人¿の中から，アロンとその子らに屬する者とした．それは，レビ人が臨在の幕屋でイスラエルの人¿のために作業に從事し，彼らのために ·いの儀式を行い，イスラエルの人¿が聖所に近づいても，災いが彼らにふりかからないためである．

モ ― セとアロンとイスラエルの人¿の共同體全體は，主がレビ人についてモ ― セに命じられたとおり，レビ人に對して行った．イスラエルの人¿はそのように彼らに行った．

for they are wholly given to Me from among the sons of Israel I have taken them for Myself instead of every first issue of the womb, the firstborn of all the sons of Israel.

"For every firstborn among the sons of Israel is Mine, among the men and among the animals; on the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for Myself.

"But I have taken the Levites instead of every firstborn among the sons of Israel.

"I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the sons of Israel, to perform the service of the sons of Israel at the tent of meeting and to make atonement on behalf of the sons of Israel, so that there will be no plague among the sons of Israel by their coming near to the sanctuary."

Thus did Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the sons of Israel to the Levites; according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the sons of Israel did to them.

レビ人は汚れを淸め，衣服を水洗いした．アロンは彼らを奉納物として主の御前に差し出し，淸めのために罪を ·う儀式を行った．

その後初めて，レビ人は臨在の幕屋に入り，アロンとその子らのもとで，主がレビ人についてモ ― セに命じられたとおりに，イスラエルの人¿のために作業に從事した．レビ人は彼らのためにそのようにした．

主はモ ― セに仰せになった．

以下はレビ人に關することである．二十五歲以上の者は，臨在の幕屋に入って務めに就き，作業をすることができる．

五十歲に達した者は務めから身をひかねばならない．二度とそれに從事してはならない．

The Levites, too, purified themselves from sin and washed their clothes; and Aaron presented them as a wave offering before the LORD. Aaron also made atonement for them to cleanse them.

Then after that the Levites went in to perform their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron and before his sons; just as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.

Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

"This is what applies to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall enter to perform service in the work of the tent of meeting.

"But at the age of fifty years they shall retire from service in the work and not work any more.

ただし，臨在の幕屋で同族の者が警護の任に當たるのを助けることはできるが，自分で作業をしてはならない．あなたはレビ人の務めについて，以上のように指示しなければならない．

"They may, however, assist their brothers in the tent of meeting, to keep an obligation, but they themselves shall do no work. Thus you shall deal with the Levites concerning their obligations."

	유월절(9:1-9:23)

エジプトの國を出た翌年の第一の月，主はシナイの荒れ野でモ ― セに仰せになった．

イスラエルの人¿は定められた時に過越祭を祝わねばならない．

あなたたちは，この月の十四日の夕暮れ，定められた時にそれを祝い，そのすべての ¿と法に從って祝いなさい．

モ ― セはイスラエルの人¿に過越祭を祝うように命じた．

彼らは第一の月の十四日の夕暮れに，シナイの荒れ野で過越祭を祝った．イスラエルの人¿は，すべて主がモ ― セに命じられたとおりに祝った．

Thus the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

"Now, let the sons of Israel observe the Passover at its appointed time.

"On the fourteenth day of this month, at twilight, you shall observe it at its appointed time; you shall observe it according to all its statutes and according to all its ordinances."

So Moses told the sons of Israel to observe the Passover.

They observed the Passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at twilight, in the wilderness of Sinai; according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses, so the sons of Israel did.

しかし，人の死體に觸れて汚れた者たちがいて，彼らは，その日に過越祭を祝うことができなかった．彼らはその日，モ ― セとアロンの前にやって來て，

言った．「わたしたちは死體に觸れて汚れていますが，イスラエルの人¿の間で，なぜこの定めの時に，主に獻げ物をささげることから除外されなくてはいけないのでしょうか．」

モ ― セは彼らに言った．「待ちなさい．主があなたたちに何とお命じになるか聞いてみよう．」

主はモ ― セに仰せになった．

イスラエルの人¿に言いなさい．あなたたち，もしくはあなたたちの子孫のうちで，死體に觸れて汚れている者，あるいは遠く旅に出ている者も，主の過越祭を祝うことができる．

But there were some men who were unclean because of the dead person, so that they could not observe Passover on that day; so they came before Moses and Aaron on that day.

Those men said to him, "Though we are unclean because of the dead person, why are we restrained from presenting the offering of the LORD at its appointed time among the sons of Israel?"

Moses therefore said to them, "Wait, and I will listen to what the LORD will command concerning you."

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

"Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'If any one of you or of your generations becomes unclean because of a dead person, or is on a distant journey, he may, however, observe the Passover to the LORD.

第二の月の十四日の夕暮れにそれを祝い，酵母を入れないパンと苦菜を添えてそのいけにえを食べなさい．

翌朝まで少しも殘してはならない．いけにえの骨を折ってはならない．すべては過越祭の ¿に從って行わねばならない．

汚れているのでもなく，旅に出ているのでもなくて過越祭を祝わない者があれば，その者は自分の民から斷たれる．なぜなら，彼は定めの時に主に獻げ物をささげなかったからである．その罪を自分で負わねばならない．

あなたたちのもとに寄留する者が，主のために過越祭を祝おうとするならば，過越祭の ¿と法に從って祝わねばならない．この ¿は寄留者に對しても，その土地に生まれた者に對しても，あなたたちに等しく適用される．

幕屋を建てた日，雲は ¿の天幕である幕屋を覆った．夕方になると，それは幕屋の上にあって，朝まで燃える火のように見えた．

'In the second month on the fourteenth day at twilight, they shall observe it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

'They shall leave none of it until morning, nor break a bone of it; according to all the statute of the Passover they shall observe it.

'But the man who is clean and is not on a journey, and yet neglects to observe the Passover, that person shall then be cut off from his people, for he did not present the offering of the LORD at its appointed time That man will bear his sin.

'If an alien sojourns among you and observes the Passover to the LORD, according to the statute of the Passover and according to its ordinance, so he shall do; you shall have one statute, both for the alien and for the native of the land.'"

Now on the day that the tabernacle was erected the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the testimony, and in the evening it was like the appearance of fire over the tabernacle, until morning.

いつもこのようであって，雲は幕屋を覆い，夜は燃える火のように見えた．

この雲が天幕を離れて昇ると，それと共にイスラエルの人¿は旅立ち，雲が一つの場所にとどまると，そこに宿營した．

イスラエルの人¿は主の命令によって旅立ち，主の命令によって宿營した．雲が幕屋の上にとどまっている間，彼らは宿營していた．

雲が長い日數，幕屋の上にとどまり續けることがあっても，イスラエルの人¿は主の言いつけを守り，旅立つことをしなかった．

雲が幕屋の上にわずかな日數しかとどまらないこともあったが，そのときも彼らは主の命令によって宿營し，主の命令によって旅立った．

So it was continuously; the cloud would cover it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.

Whenever the cloud was lifted from over the tent, afterward the sons of Israel would then set out; and in the place where the cloud settled down, there the sons of Israel would camp.

At the command of the LORD the sons of Israel would set out, and at the command of the LORD they would camp; as long as the cloud settled over the tabernacle, they remained camped.

Even when the cloud lingered over the tabernacle for many days, the sons of Israel would keep the LORD'S charge and not set out.

If sometimes the cloud remained a few days over the tabernacle, according to the command of the LORD they remained camped. Then according to the command of the LORD they set out.

雲が夕方から朝までしかとどまらず，朝になって，雲が昇ると，彼らは旅立った． ¿であれ，夜であれ，雲が昇れば，彼らは旅立った．

二日でも，一� ゥ月でも，何日でも，雲が幕屋の上にとどまり續ける間，イスラエルの人¿はそこにとどまり，旅立つことをしなかった．そして雲が昇れば，彼らは旅立った．

彼らは主の命令によって宿營し，主の命令によって旅立った．彼らはモ ― セを通してなされた主の命令に從い，主の言いつけを守った．

If sometimes the cloud remained from evening until morning, when the cloud was lifted in the morning, they would move out; or if it remained in the daytime and at night, whenever the cloud was lifted, they would set out.

Whether it was two days or a month or a year that the cloud lingered over the tabernacle, staying above it, the sons of Israel remained camped and did not set out; but when it was lifted, they did set out.

At the command of the LORD they camped, and at the command of the LORD they set out; they kept the LORD'S charge, according to the command of the LORD through Moses.
