- わたしは， 彼らを エジプト の 地から 連れ 出し， 荒れ 野に 導いた．
- そして， 彼らにわたしの ¿を 與え， わたしの 裁きを 示した． 人がそれを 行えば， それによって 生きることができる．
- また， わたしは， 彼らにわたしの 安息日を 與えた． これは， わたしと 彼らとの 間のしるしとなり， わたしが 彼らを 聖別する 主であることを， 彼らが 知るためであった．
- しかし， イスラエル の 家は 荒れ 野でわたしに 背き， 人がそれを 行えば 生きることができるわたしの ¿に 步まず， わたしの 裁きを 退け， 更に， わたしの 安息日を 甚だしく 汚した． それゆえ， わたしは 荒れ 野で， 憤りを 彼らの 上に 注ぎ， 彼らを 滅ぼし 盡くそうとした．
- しかし， わが 名のために， わたしが イスラエル を 連れ 出したときに 見ていた 諸國民の 前で， わが 名を 汚すことがないようにした．

- Therefore I led them out of Egypt and brought them into the desert.
- I gave them my decrees and made known to them my laws, for the man who obeys them will live by them.
- Also I gave them my Sabbaths as a sign between us, so they would know that I the LORD made them holy.
- " 'Yet the people of Israel rebelled against me in the desert. They did not follow my decrees but rejected my laws--although the man who obeys them will live by them--and they utterly desecrated my Sabbaths. So I said I would pour out my wrath on them and destroy them in the desert.
- But for the sake of my name I did what would keep it from being profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

- ただし， 荒れ 野で 彼らに 誓い， わたしが 與えた 土地， 乳と 蜜の 流れる 地， すべての 國¿の 中で 最も 美しい 土地に， 彼らを 導き 入れることはしないと 告げた．
- それは， 彼らがわたしの 裁きを 退け， わたしの ¿に 從って 步まず， わたしの 安息日を 汚したからだ． 彼らの 心は， 自分たちの 偶像にひかれていたのである．
- それでも， わたしの 目は 彼らを 憐れんで， 彼らを 滅ぼさなかった． 彼らを 荒れ 野で 滅ぼし 盡くすことはしなかった．
- わたしは， 荒れ 野で 彼らの 子供たちに 語った． 『お 前たちの 父祖の ¿に 從って 步んではならない． 彼らの 裁きを 守ってはならない． また， 彼らの 偶像で 自らを 汚してはならない．
- わたしはお 前たちの 神， 主である． お 前たちは， わたしの ¿に 從って 步み， わたしの 裁きを 守り 行い，

- Also with uplifted hand I swore to them in the desert that I would not bring them into the land I had given them--a land flowing with milk and honey, most beautiful of all lands-
- because they rejected my laws and did not follow my decrees and desecrated my Sabbaths. For their hearts were devoted to their idols.
- Yet I looked on them with pity and did not destroy them or put an end to them in the desert.
- I said to their children in the desert, "Do not follow the statutes of your fathers or keep their laws or defile yourselves with their idols.
- I am the LORD your God; follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

- わたしの 安息日を 聖別して， わたしとお 前たちとの 間のしるしとし， わたしがお 前たちの 神， 主であることを 知れ 』と．
- しかし， 子供たちもわたしに 背き， 人がそれを 行えば 生きることができるわたしの ¿に 步まず， わたしの 裁きを 守り 行わず， わたしの 安息日を 汚した． それゆえ， わたしは 荒れ 野で 彼らの 上に 憤りを 注ぎ， 怒りを 浴びせる， と 言った．
- しかし， わたしは 手を 引き 戾し， わが 名のために， わたしが イスラエル を 連れ 出したときに 見ていた 諸國民の 前でわたしの 名を 汚すことがないようにした．
- ただし， わたしは 荒れ 野で 彼らに 誓い， 彼らを 諸國民の 間に 散らし， 諸國に 追いやると 告げた．
- なぜなら， 彼らがわたしの 裁きを 行わず， わたしの ¿を 退け， わたしの 安息日を 汚し， 彼らの 父祖の 偶像に 目をひかれていたからである．

- Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God."
- " 'But the children rebelled against me: They did not follow my decrees, they were not careful to keep my laws--although the man who obeys them will live by them--and they desecrated my Sabbaths. So I said I would pour out my wrath on them and spend my anger against them in the desert.
- But I withheld my hand, and for the sake of my name I did what would keep it from being profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.
- Also with uplifted hand I swore to them in the desert that I would disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries,
- because they had not obeyed my laws but had rejected my decrees and desecrated my Sabbaths, and their eyes lusted after their fathers' idols.

- わたしもまた， 良くない ¿と， それによって 生きることができない 裁きを 彼らに 與えた．
- また， 彼らが 初子をすべてささげたとき， わたしは 彼らの 獻げ 物によって 彼らを 汚した． それは， わたしが 彼らを 荒廢させ， わたしが 主であることを 知らせるためであった．
- それゆえ， イスラエル の 家に 語りなさい． 人の 子よ， 彼らに 言いなさい． 主なる 神はこう 言われる． お 前たちの 父祖は， わたしに 對して 裏切りを 行い， またもや， わたしを 冒瀆した．
- わたしが 與えると 誓ったその 地に 彼らを 導き 入れたとき， 彼らは 高い 丘や 茂った 木を 見ると， どこででも， いけにえをささげ， わたしを 怒らせる 供え 物をささげた． 彼らはまた， そこで 宥めの 香りをたき， ぶどう 酒の 獻げ 物を 注ぎかけた．
- わたしは 彼らに 言った． 『お 前たちが 通う 聖なる 高台は 一體何か 』と． それゆえ， 今日までその 場所の 名は， 聖なる 高台と 呼ばれている．

- I also gave them over to statutes that were not good and laws they could not live by;
- I let them become defiled through their gifts--the sacrifice of every firstborn --that I might fill them with horror so they would know that I am the LORD.'
- "Therefore, son of man, speak to the people of Israel and say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In this also your fathers blasphemed me by forsaking me:
- When I brought them into the land I had sworn to give them and they saw any high hill or any leafy tree, there they offered their sacrifices, made offerings that provoked me to anger, presented their fragrant incense and poured out their drink offerings.
- Then I said to them: What is this high place you go to?' " (It is called Bamah to this day.)

- それゆえ， イスラエル の 家に 言いなさい． 主なる 神はこう 言われる． お 前たちは 父祖の 步みに 從って 自らを 汚し， 彼らの 憎むべき 偶像と 姦淫を 行ってきた．
- また， 自分の 子供を 獻げ 物として 火の 中を 通らせ， すべての 偶像によって 今日に 至るまで 自らを 汚している． それなのに， イスラエル の 家よ， わたしはお 前たちの 求めに 應じられようか． わたしは 生きている， と 主なる 神は 言われる． わたしは 決してお 前たちの 求めには 應じない．
- お 前たちは， 『我¿は 諸國民のように， また， 世界各地の 種族のように， 木や 石の 偶像に 仕えよう 』と 言っているが， お 前たちが 心に 思うそのようなことは 決して 實現しない．
- わたしは 生きている， と 主なる 神は 言われる． わたしは 必ず， 强い 手と 伸ばした 腕と， 溢れる 憤りをもって， お 前たちを 治める．
- 强い 手と 伸ばした 腕と， 溢れる 憤りをもって， わたしはお 前たちを 諸國の 民の 中から 連れ 出し， 散らされた 國¿から 集める．

- "Therefore say to the house of Israel: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Will you defile yourselves the way your fathers did and lust after their vile images?
- When you offer your gifts--the sacrifice of your sons in the fire--you continue to defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. Am I to let you inquire of me, O house of Israel? As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I will not let you inquire of me.
- " 'You say, "We want to be like the nations, like the peoples of the world, who serve wood and stone." But what you have in mind will never happen.
- As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I will rule over you with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with outpoured wrath.
- I will bring you from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered--with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with outpoured wrath.

- わたしはお 前たちを， 諸國の 民の 荒れ 野に 導き， 顔と 顔を 合わせてお 前たちを 裁く．
- お 前たちの 父祖を エジプト の 國の 荒れ 野で 裁いたように 裁く， と 主なる 神は 言われる．
- わたしは， お 前たちを 牧者の 杖の 下を 通らせて， 契約のきずなのもとに 導く．
- わたしはお 前たちの 中から， わたしに 逆らい， 背く 者を 分離する． わたしは， 彼らを 寄留の 地から 連れ 出すが， 彼らは イスラエル の 土地に 入ることはできない． そのとき， お 前たちはわたしが 主であることを 知るようになる．
- お 前たち イスラエル の 家よ， 主なる 神はこう 言われる． おのおの 自分の 偶像のもとに 行き， それに 仕えよ． その 後， お 前たちは 必ずわたしに 聞き 從い， 二度と 偶像に 贈り 物をささげて， わたしの 聖なる 名を 汚すことはなくなる．

- I will bring you into the desert of the nations and there, face to face, I will execute judgment upon you.
- As I judged your fathers in the desert of the land of Egypt, so I will judge you, declares the Sovereign LORD.
- I will take note of you as you pass under my rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant.
- I will purge you of those who revolt and rebel against me. Although I will bring them out of the land where they are living, yet they will not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
- " 'As for you, O house of Israel, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Go and serve your idols, every one of you! But afterward you will surely listen to me and no longer profane my holy name with your gifts and idols.

- わたしの 聖なる 山， イスラエル の 高い 山で， と 主なる 神は 言われる． そこにおいてのみ， この 地にいる イスラエル の 家はすべて， こぞってわたしに 仕える． そこでのみ， わたしは 彼らを 受け 入れ， その 所で， 獻げ 物と 聖なる 最上の 供え 物を 求める．
- わたしは， 宥めの 香りと 共に， お 前たちを 受け 入れる． わたしが 諸國の 民の 中から 連れ 出し， 散らされていた 國¿から 集めるとき， わたしは 諸國民の 前で， お 前たちに 自分を 聖なる 者として 示す．
- わたしが， 先祖に 與えると 誓った 地， イスラエル の 土地に 導き 入れるとき， お 前たちはわたしが 主であることを 知るようになる．
- その 所で， お 前たちは 自分の 步んだ 道， 自分を 汚したすべての 行いを 思い 起こし， 自分の 行ったあらゆる 惡のゆえに 自分を 嫌惡するようになる．
- お 前たちの 惡い 道や 墮落した 行いによることなく， わが 名のゆえに， わたしが ¿きかけるとき， イスラエル の 家よ， お 前たちはわたしが 主であることを 知るようになる 」と 主なる 神は 言われる．

- For on my holy mountain, the high mountain of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD, there in the land the entire house of Israel will serve me, and there I will accept them. There I will require your offerings and your choice gifts, along with all your holy sacrifices.
- I will accept you as fragrant incense when I bring you out from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will show myself holy among you in the sight of the nations.
- Then you will know that I am the LORD, when I bring you into the land of Israel, the land I had sworn with uplifted hand to give to your fathers.
- There you will remember your conduct and all the actions by which you have defiled yourselves, and you will loathe yourselves for all the evil you have done.
- You will know that I am the LORD, when I deal with you for my name's sake and not according to your evil ways and your corrupt practices, O house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.' "

- The word of the LORD came to me:
- "Son of man, set your face toward the south; preach against the south and prophesy against the forest of the southland.
- Say to the southern forest: 'Hear the word of the LORD. This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am about to set fire to you, and it will consume all your trees, both green and dry. The blazing flame will not be quenched, and every face from south to north will be scorched by it.
- Everyone will see that I the LORD have kindled it; it will not be quenched.' "
- Then I said, "Ah, Sovereign LORD! They are saying of me, 'Isn't he just telling parables?' "
