	마태복음 16:13-16:28 베드로의 신앙 고백을 들으신 예수님께서는 자신이 십자가에 달려 돌아가실 것을 말씀하셨다. 그러자 베드로는 이를 만류하였다. 이에 예수님께서는 제자의 길은 자기를 부인하고 주를 따르는 것임을 교훈하셨다.

	베드로의 신앙 고백(16:13-16:20)

さて，ピリポ · カイザリヤの地方に行かれたとき，イエスは弟子たちに尋ねて言われた．「人¿は人の子をだれだと言っていますか．」

彼らは言った．「バプテスマのヨハネだと言う人もあり，エリヤだと言う人もあります．またほかの人たちはエレミヤだとか，また預言者のひとりだとも言っています．」

イエスは彼らに言われた．「あなたがたは，わたしをだれだと言いますか．」

シモン · ペテロが答えて言った．「あなたは，生ける神の御子キリストです．」

するとイエスは，彼に答えて言われた．「バルヨナ · シモン．あなたは幸いです．このことをあなたに明らかに示したのは人間ではなく，天にいますわたしの父です．

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

ではわたしもあなたに言います．あなたはペテロです．わたしはこの岩の上にわたしの敎會を建てます．ハデスの門もそれには打ち勝てません．

わたしは，あなたに天の御國のかぎを上げます．何でもあなたが地上でつなぐなら，それは天においてもつながれており，あなたが地上で解くなら，それは天においても解かれています．」

そのとき，イエスは，ご自分がキリストであることをだれにも言ってはならない，と弟子たちを戒められた．

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

	제자의 길(16:21-16:28)

その時から，イエス · キリストは，ご自分がエルサレムに行って，長老，祭司長，律法學者たちから多くの苦しみを受け，殺され，そして三日目によみがえらなければならないことを弟子たちに示し始められた．

するとペテロは，イエスを引き寄せて，いさめ始めた．「主よ．神の御惠みがありますように．そんなことが，あなたに起こるはずはありません．」

しかし，イエスは振り向いて，ペテロに言われた．「下がれ．サタン．あなたはわたしの邪魔をするものだ．あなたは神のことを思わないで，人のことを思っている．」

それから，イエスは弟子たちに言われた．「だれでもわたしについて來たいと思うなら，自分を捨て，自分の十字架を負い，そしてわたしについて來なさい．

いのちを救おうと思う者はそれを失い，わたしのためにいのちを失う者は，それを見いだすのです．

From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

人は，たとい全世界を手に入れても，まことのいのちを損じたら，何の得がありましょう．そのいのちを買い戾すのには，人はいったい何を差し出せばよいでしょう．

人の子は父の榮光を帶びて，御使いたちとともに，やがて來ようとしているのです．その時には，おのおのその行ないに應じて報いをします．

まことに，あなたがたに告げます．ここに立っている人¿の中には，人の子が御國とともに來るのを見るまでは，決して死を味わわない人¿がいます．」

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
