- さて， 一行はそこを 去って， ガリラヤ を 通って 行った． イエス は， 人に 知られたくないと 思われた．
- それは， イエス は 弟子たちを 敎えて， 「人の 子は 人¿の 手に 引き 渡され， 彼らはこれを 殺す． しかし， 殺されて， 三日の 後に， 人の 子はよみがえる． 」と 話しておられたからである．
- しかし， 弟子たちは， このみことばが 理解できなかった． また， イエス に 尋ねるのを 恐れていた．
- カペナウム に 着いた． イエス は， 家にはいった 後， 弟子たちに 質問された． 「道で 何を 論じ 合っていたのですか． 」
- 彼らは 默っていた． 道¿， だれが 一番偉いかと 論じ 合っていたからである．

- And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.
- For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
- But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.
- And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?
- But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

- イエス はおすわりになり， 十二弟子を 呼んで， 言われた． 「だれでも 人の 先に 立ちたいと 思うなら， みなのしんがりとなり， みなに 仕える 者となりなさい． 」
- それから， イエス は， ひとりの 子どもを 連れて 來て， 彼らの 眞中に 立たせ， 腕に 抱き 寄せて， 彼らに 言われた．
- 「だれでも， このような 幼子たちのひとりを， わたしの 名のゆえに 受け 入れるならば， わたしを 受け 入れるのです． また， だれでも， わたしを 受け 入れるならば， わたしを 受け 入れるのではなく， わたしを 遣わされた 方を 受け 入れるのです． 」
- ヨハネ が イエス に 言った． 「先生． 先生の 名を 唱えて 惡靈を 追い 出している 者を 見ましたが， 私たちの 仲間ではないので， やめさせました． 」
- しかし， イエス は 言われた． 「やめさせることはありません． わたしの 名を 唱えて， 力あるわざを 行ないながら， すぐあとで， わたしを 惡く 言える 者はないのです．

- And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
- And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
- Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
- And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
- But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

- わたしたちに 反對しない 者は， わたしたちの 味方です．
- あなたがたが キリスト の 弟子だからというので， あなたがたに 水一杯でも 飮ませてくれる 人は， 決して 報いを 失うことはありません． これは 確かなことです．
- また， わたしを 信じるこの 小さい 者たちのひとりにでもつまずきを 與えるような 者は， むしろ 大きい 石臼を 首にゆわえつけられて， 海に 投げ ¿まれたほうがましです．
- もし， あなたの 手があなたのつまずきとなるなら， それを 切り 捨てなさい． 不具の 身でいのちにはいるほうが， 兩手そろっていて ゲヘナ の 消えぬ 火の 中に 落ち ¿むよりは， あなたにとってよいことです．

- For he that is not against us is on our part.
- For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
- And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
- And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
- Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

- もし， あなたの 足があなたのつまずきとなるなら， それを 切り 捨てなさい． 片足でいのちにはいるほうが， 兩足そろっていて ゲヘナ に 投げ 入れられるよりは， あなたにとってよいことです．
- ［本節欠如 ］
- もし， あなたの 目があなたのつまずきを 引き 起こすのなら， それをえぐり 出しなさい． 片目で 神の 國にはいるほうが， 兩目そろっていて ゲヘナ に 投げ 入れられるよりは， あなたにとってよいことです．
- そこでは， 彼らを 食ううじは， 盡きることがなく， 火は 消えることがありません．
- すべては， 火によって， 鹽けをつけられるのです．

- And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
- Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
- And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
- Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
- For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

- 鹽は， ききめのあるものです． しかし， もし 鹽に 鹽けがなくなったら， 何によって 鹽けを 取り 戾せましょう． あなたがたは， 自分自身のうちに 鹽けを 保ちなさい． そして， 互いに 和合して 暮らしなさい． 」

- Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
