사무엘하 15:24-17:14

 도피 길에 나선 다윗은 제사장들이 메고 온 언약궤를 예루살렘으로 귀환시키고, 후새를 보내 압살롬의 계략을 탐지하게 했다. 도피중에 다윗은 시바의 악한 궤계와 시므이의 저주로 수치와 시련을 겪었다. 후새는 다윗의 명령대로 압살롬에게 거짓 투항하여 그의 신임을 얻게 되었고, 결국 다윗을 해하려는 아히도벨의 악한 모략을 실패로 돌아가게 만들었다.
  
  다윗의 시련(15:24-16:14)    
 
  1. ツァドク も， すべての レビ 人といっしょに， 神の 契約の 箱をかついでいたが， 神の 箱をそこに 降ろした． エブヤタル も 來て， 民が 全部， 町から 出て 行ってしまうまでいた．
  2. 王は ツァドク に 言った． 「神の 箱を 町に 戾しなさい． もし， 私が 主の 惠みをいただくことができれば， 主は， 私を 連れ 戾し， 神の 箱とその 住まいとを 見せてくださろう．
  3. もし 主が， 『あなたはわたしの 心にかなわない． 』と 言われるなら， どうか， この 私に 主が 良いと 思われることをしてくださるように． 」
  4. 王は 祭司 ツァドク にまた 言った． 「先見者よ． あなたは 安心して 町に 歸りなさい． あなたがたのふたりの 子， あなたの 子 アヒマアツ と エブヤタル の 子 ヨナタン も， あなたがたといっしょに．
  5. よく 覺えていてもらいたい． 私は， あなたがたから 知らせのことばが 來るまで， 荒野の 草原で， しばらく 待とう． 」
  1. And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.
  2. And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation:
  3. But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.
  4. The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.
  5. See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me.
  1. そこで， ツァドク と エブヤタル は 神の 箱を エルサレム に 持ち 歸り， そこにとどまっていた．

  1. Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.
  2. And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.
  3. And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.
  4. And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head:
  5. Unto whom David said, If thou passest on with me, then thou shalt be a burden unto me:
  1. しかしもし， あなたが 町に 戾って， アブシャロム に， 『王よ． 私はあなたのしもべになります． これまであなたの 父上のしもべであったように， 今， 私はあなたのしもべになります． 』と 言うなら， あなたは， 私のために， アヒトフェル の 助言を 打ちこわすことになる．
  2. あそこには 祭司の ツァドク と エブヤタル も， あなたといっしょにいるではないか． あなたは 王の 家から 聞くことは 何でも， 祭司の ツァドク と エブヤタル に 告げなければならない．

  1. But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.
  2. And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king's house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
  3. Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok's son, and Jonathan Abiathar's son; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear.
  4. So Hushai David's friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
 
 
  1. ダビデ は 山の 頂から 少し 下った． 見ると， メフィボシェテ に 仕える 若い 者 ツィバ が， 王を 迎えに 來ていた． 彼は， 鞍を 置いた 一くびきのろばに， パン 二百個， 干しぶどう 百ふさ， 夏のくだもの 百個， ぶどう 酒一袋を 載せていた．
  2. 王は ツィバ に 尋ねた． 「これらは 何のためか． 」 ツィバ は 答えた． 「二頭のろばは 王の 家族がお 乘りになるため， パン と 夏のくだものは 若い 者たちが 食べるため， ぶどう 酒は 荒野で 疲れた 者が 飮むためです． 」
  3. 王は 言った． 「あなたの 主人の 息子はどこにいるか． 」 ツィバ は 王に 言った． 「今， エルサレム におられます． あの 人は， 『きょう， イスラエル の 家は， 私の 父の 王國を 私に 返してくれる． 』と 言っていました． 」
  4. すると 王は ツィバ に 言った． 「メフィボシェテ のものはみな， 今， あなたのものだ． 」 ツィバ が 言った． 「王さま． あなたのご 好意にあずかることができますように， 伏してお 願いいたします． 」
  5. ダビデ 王が バフリム まで 來ると， ちょうど， サウル の 家の 一族のひとりが， そこから 出て 來た． その 名は シムイ といって ゲラ の 子で， 盛んにのろいのことばを 吐きながら 出て 來た．
  1. And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.
  2. And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.
  3. And the king said, And where is thy master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.
  4. Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.
  5. And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.
  1. そして ダビデ と ダビデ 王のすべての 家來たちに 向かって 石を 投げつけた． 民と 勇士たちはみな， 王の 右左にいた．
  2. シムイ はのろってこう 言った． 「出て 行け， 出て 行け． 血まみれの 男， よこしまな 者．
  3. 主が サウル の 家のすべての 血をおまえに 報いたのだ． サウル に 代わって 王となったおまえに． 主はおまえの 息子 アブシャロム の 手に 王位を 渡した． 今， おまえはわざわいに 會うのだ． おまえは 血まみれの 男だから． 」
  4. すると， ツェルヤ の 子 アビシャイ が 王に 言った． 「この 死に 犬めが， 王さまをのろってよいものですか． 行って， あの 首をはねさせてください． 」
  5. 王は 言った． 「ツェルヤ の 子らよ． これは 私のことで， あなたがたには， かかわりのないことだ． 彼がのろうのは， 主が 彼に， 『ダビデ をのろえ． 』と 言われたからだ． だれが 彼に， 『おまえはどうしてこういうことをするのだ． 』と 言えようか． 」
  1. And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.
  2. And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial:
  3. The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.
  4. Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head.
  5. And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?
  1. ダビデ は アビシャイ と 彼のすべての 家來たちに 言った． 「見よ． 私の 身から 出た 私の 子さえ， 私のいのちをねらっている． 今， この ベニヤミン 人としては， なおさらのことだ． ほうっておきなさい． 彼にのろわせなさい． 主が 彼に 命じられたのだから．

  1. And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him.
  2. It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.
  3. And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.
  4. And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.
 
  아히도벨과 후새의 모략(16:15-17:14)    
 
  1. アブシャロム とすべての 民， イスラエル 人は エルサレム にはいった． アヒトフェル もいっしょであった．
  2. ダビデ の 友 アルキ 人 フシャイ が アブシャロム のところに 來たとき， フシャイ は アブシャロム に 言った． 「王さま． ばんざい． 王さま． ばんざい． 」
  3. アブシャロム は フシャイ に 言った． 「これが， あなたの 友への 忠誠のあらわれなのか． なぜ， あなたは， あなたの 友といっしょに 行かなかったのか． 」
  4. フシャイ は アブシャロム に 答えた． 「いいえ， 主と， この 民， イスラエル のすべての 人¿とが 選んだ 方に 私はつき， その 方といっしょにいたいのです．
  5. また， 私はだれに 仕えるべきでしょう． 私の 友の 子に 仕えるべきではありませんか． 私はあなたの 父上に 仕えたように， あなたにもお 仕えいたします． 」
  1. And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.
  2. And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.
  3. And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this thy kindness to thy friend? why wentest thou not with thy friend?
  4. And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.
  5. And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy father's presence, so will I be in thy presence.
  1. それで， アブシャロム は アヒトフェル に 言った． 「あなたがたは 相談して， われわれはどうしたらよいか， 意見を 述べなさい． 」
  2. アヒトフェル は アブシャロム に 言った． 「父上が 王宮の 留守番に 殘したそばめたちのところにおはいりください． 全 イスラエル が， あなたは 父上に 憎まれるようなことをされたと 聞くなら， あなたに， くみする 者はみな， 勇氣を 出すでしょう． 」
  3. こうして アブシャロム のために 屋上に 天幕が 張られ， アブシャロム は 全 イスラエル の 目の 前で， 父のそばめたちのところにはいった．
  4. 當時， アヒトフェル の 進言する 助言は， 人が 神のことばを 伺って 得ることばのようであった． アヒトフェル の 助言はみな， ダビデ にも アブシャロム にもそのように 思われた．
  1. Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.
  2. And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.
  3. So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.
  4. And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
 
 
  1. アヒトフェル はさらに アブシャロム に 言った． 「私に 一万二千人を 選ばせてください． 私は 今夜， ダビデ のあとを 追って 出發し，
  2. 彼を 襲います． ダビデ は 疲れて 氣力を 失っているでしょう． 私が， 彼を 恐れさせれば， 彼といっしょにいるすべての 民は 逃げましょう． 私は 王だけを 打ち 殺します．

  5. しかし アブシャロム は 言った． 「アルキ 人 フシャイ を 呼び 出し， 彼の 言うことも 聞いてみよう． 」
  1. Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night:
  2. And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only:
  3. And I will bring back all the people unto thee: the man whom thou seekest is as if all returned: so all the people shall be in peace.
  4. And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.
  5. Then said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear likewise what he saith.
  1. フシャイ が アブシャロム のところに 來ると， アブシャロム は 彼に 次のように 言った． 「アヒトフェル はこのように 言ったが， われわれは 彼のことばに 從ってよいものだろうか． もしいけなければ， あなたの 意見を 述べてみなさい． 」
  2. すると フシャイ は アブシャロム に 言った． 「このたび アヒトフェル の 立てたはかりごとは 良くありません． 」
  3. フシャイ はさらに 言った． 「あなたは 父上とその 部下が 戰士であることをご 存じです． しかも 彼らは， 野で 子を 奪われた 雌熊のように 氣が 荒くなっています． また， あなたの 父上は 戰いに 慣れた 方ですから， 民といっしょには 夜を 過ごさないでしょう．
  4. きっと 今， ほら 穴か， どこか， そんな 所に 隱れておられましょう． もし， 民のある 者が 最初に 倒れたら， それを 聞く 者は， 『アブシャロム に 從う 民のうちに 打たれた 者が 出た． 』と 言うでしょう．
  5. そうなると， たとい， 獅子のような 心を 持つ 力ある 者でも， 氣がくじけます． 全 イスラエル は， あなたの 父上が 勇士であり， 彼に 從う 者が 力ある 者であるのをよく 知っています．
  1. And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto him, saying, Ahithophel hath spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak thou.
  2. And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel hath given is not good at this time.
  3. For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.
  4. Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.
  5. And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men.
  1. 私のはかりごとはこうです． 全 イスラエル を ダン から ベエル · シェバ に 至るまで， 海邊の 砂のように 數多くあなたのところに 集めて， あなた 自身が 戰いに 出られることです．
  2. われわれは， 彼を 見つけしだい， その 場で 彼を 攻め， 露が 地面に 降りるように 彼を 襲い， 彼や， 共にいるすべての 兵士たちを， ひとりも 生かしておかないのです．
  3. もし 彼がさらにどこかの 町にはいるなら， 全 イスラエル でその 町に 綱をかけ， その 町を 川まで 引きずって 行って， そこに 一つの 石ころも 殘らないようにしましょう． 」
  4. アブシャロム と イスラエル の 民はみな 言った． 「アルキ 人 フシャイ のはかりごとは， アヒトフェル のはかりごとよりも 良い． 」これは 主が アブシャロム にわざわいをもたらそうとして， 主が アヒトフェル のすぐれたはかりごとを 打ちこわそうと 決めておられたからであった．
  1. Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally gathered unto thee, from Dan even to Beersheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that thou go to battle in thine own person.
  2. So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falleth on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one.
  3. Moreover, if he be gotten into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there.
  4. And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.
