- さて， ペテロ はあらゆる 所を 巡回したが， ルダ に 住む 聖徒たちのところへも 下って 行った．
- 彼はそこで， 八年の 間も 床に 着いている アイネヤ という 人に 出會った． 彼は 中風であった．
- ペテロ は 彼にこう 言った． 「アイネヤ ． イエス · キリスト があなたをいやしてくださるのです． 立ち 上がりなさい． そして 自分で 床を 整えなさい． 」すると 彼はただちに 立ち 上がった．
- ルダ と サロン に 住む 人¿はみな， アイネヤ を 見て， 主に 立ち 返った．
- ヨッパ に タビタ （ギリシヤ 語に 譯せば， ドルカス ）という 女の 弟子がいた． この 女は， 多くの 良いわざと 施しをしていた．

- And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.
- And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.
- And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.
- And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.
- Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

- ところが， そのころ 彼女は 病氣になって 死に， 人¿はその 遺體を 洗って， 屋上の 間に 置いた．
- ルダ は ヨッパ に 近かったので， 弟子たちは， ペテロ がそこにいると 聞いて， 人をふたり 彼のところへ 送って， 「すぐに 來てください． 」と 賴んだ．
- そこで ペテロ は 立って， いっしょに 出かけた． ペテロ が 到着すると， 彼らは 屋上の 間に 案內した． やもめたちはみな 泣きながら， 彼のそばに 來て， ドルカス がいっしょにいたころ 作ってくれた 下着や 上着の 數¿を 見せるのであった．
- ペテロ はみなの 者を 外に 出し， ひざまずいて 祈った． そしてその 遺體のほうを 向いて， 「タビタ ． 起きなさい． 」と 言った． すると 彼女は 目をあけ， ペテロ を 見て 起き 上がった．
- そこで， ペテロ は 手を 貸して 彼女を 立たせた． そして 聖徒たちとやもめたちとを 呼んで， 生きている 彼女を 見せた．

- And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.
- And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
- Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
- But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
- And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.

- このことが ヨッパ 中に 知れ 渡り， 多くの 人¿が 主を 信じた．
- そして， ペテロ はしばらくの 間， ヨッパ で， 皮なめしの シモン という 人の 家に 泊まっていた．

- And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.
- And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.
