- 知惠は 眞珠にまさり， どんな 喜びも， これには 比べられないからだ．
- 知惠であるわたしは 分別を 住みかとする． そこには 知識と 思慮とがある．
- 主を 恐れることは 惡を 憎むことである． わたしは 高ぶりと， おごりと， 惡の 道と， ねじれたことばを 憎む．
- 攝理とすぐれた 知性とはわたしのもの． わたしは 分別であって， わたしには 力がある．
- わたしによって， 王たちは 治め， 君主たちは 正義を 制定する．

- For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
- I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
- The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
- Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
- By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

- わたしによって， 支配者たちは 支配する． 高貴な 人たちはすべて 正義のさばきつかさ．
- わたしを 愛する 者を， わたしは 愛する． わたしを 熱心に 搜す 者は， わたしを 見つける．
- 富と 譽れとはわたしとともにあり， 尊い 寶物と 義もわたしとともにある．
- わたしの 實は 黃金よりも， 純金よりも 良く， わたしの 生み 出すものはえり 拔きの 銀にまさる．
- わたしは 正義の 道， 公正の 通り 道の 眞中を 步み，

- By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
- I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
- Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
- My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
- I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
