- 主の 祝福そのものが 人を 富ませ， 人の 苦勞は 何もそれに 加えない．
- 愚かな 者には 惡事が 樂しみ． 英知のある 者には 知惠が 樂しみ．
- 惡者の 恐れていることはその 身にふりかかり， 正しい 者の 望みはかなえられる．
- つむじ 風が 過ぎ 去るとき， 惡者はいなくなるが， 正しい 者は 永遠の 礎である．
- 使いにやる 者にとって， なまけ 者は， 齒に 酢， 目に 煙のようなものだ．

- The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
- It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
- The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
- As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
- As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.
