- すべての 人との 平和を 追い 求め， また， 聖められることを 追い 求めなさい． 聖くなければ， だれも 主を 見ることができません．
- そのためには， あなたがたはよく 監督して， だれも 神の 惠みから 落ちる 者がないように， また， 苦い 根が 芽を 出して 惱ましたり， これによって 多くの 人が 汚されたりすることのないように，
- また， 不品行の 者や， 一杯の 食物と 引き 替えに 自分のものであった 長子の 權利を 賣った エサウ のような 俗惡な 者がないようにしなさい．
- あなたがたが 知っているとおり， 彼は 後になって 祝福を 相續したいと 思ったが， 退けられました． 淚を 流して 求めても， 彼には 心を 變えてもらう 余地がありませんでした．
- あなたがたは， 手でさわれる 山， 燃える 火， 黑雲， 暗やみ， あらし，

- Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
- Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
- Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
- For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
- For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

- ラッパ の 響き， ことばのとどろきに 近づいているのではありません． このとどろきは， これを 聞いた 者たちが， それ 以上一言も 加えてもらいたくないと 願ったものです．
- 彼らは， 「たとい， ¿でも， 山に 觸れるものは 石で 打ち 殺されなければならない． 」というその 命令に 耐えることができなかったのです．
- また， その 光景があまり 恐ろしかったので， モ ― セ は， 「私は 恐れて， 震える． 」と 言いました．

- And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
- (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
- And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
- But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
- To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

- さらに， 新しい 契約の 仲介者 イエス ， それに， アベル の 血よりもすぐれたことを 語る 注ぎかけの 血に 近づいています．
- 語っておられる 方を 拒まないように 注意しなさい． なぜなら， 地上においても， 警告を 與えた 方を 拒んだ 彼らが 處罰を 免れることができなかったとすれば， まして 天から 語っておられる 方に 背を 向ける 私たちが， 處罰を 免れることができないのは 當然ではありませんか．
- あのときは， その 聲が 地を ¿り 動かしましたが， このたびは 約束をもって， こう 言われます． 「わたしは， もう 一度， 地だけではなく， 天も ¿り 動かす． 」
- この「もう 一度 」ということばは， 決して ¿り 動かされることのないものが 殘るために， すべての 造られた， ¿り 動かされるものが 取り 除かれることを 示しています．
- こういうわけで， 私たちは ¿り 動かされない 御國を 受けているのですから， 感謝しようではありませんか． こうして 私たちは， 愼みと 恐れとをもって， 神に 喜ばれるように 奉仕をすることができるのです．

- And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things that that of Abel.
- See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
- Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
- And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
- Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

- For our God is a consuming fire.
