- イエス は 彼らに 言われた． 「あなたがたは， わたしをだれだと 言いますか． 」
- シモン · ペテロ が 答えて 言った． 「あなたは， 生ける 神の 御子 キリスト です． 」
- すると イエス は， 彼に 答えて 言われた． 「バルヨナ · シモン ． あなたは 幸いです． このことをあなたに 明らかに 示したのは 人間ではなく， 天にいますわたしの 父です．

- And they said, "Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets."

- Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
- And Jesus said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
