- イエス は， 町¿村¿を 次¿に 敎えながら 通り， エルサレム への 旅を 續けられた．
- すると， 「主よ． 救われる 者は 少ないのですか． 」と 言う 人があった． イエス は， 人¿に 言われた．
- 「努力して 狹い 門からはいりなさい． なぜなら， あなたがたに 言いますが， はいろうとしても， はいれなくなる 人が 多いのですから．
- 家の 主人が， 立ち 上がって， 戶をしめてしまってからでは， 外に 立って， 『ご 主人さま． あけてください． 』と 言って， 戶をいくらたたいても， もう 主人は， 『あなたがたがどこの 者か， 私は 知らない． 』と 答えるでしょう．
- すると， あなたがたは， こう 言い 始めるでしょう． 『私たちは， ごいっしょに， 食べたり 飮んだりいたしましたし， 私たちの 大通りで 敎えていただきました． 』

- And He was passing through from one city and village to another, teaching, and proceeding on His way to Jerusalem.
- And someone said to Him, "Lord, are there just a few who are being saved?" And He said to them,
- "Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
- "Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock on the door, saying, 'Lord, open up to us!' then He will answer and say to you, 'I do not know where you are from.'
- "Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets';

- だが， 主人はこう 言うでしょう． 『私はあなたがたがどこの 者だか 知りません． 不正を 行なう 者たち． みな 出て 行きなさい． 』
- 神の 國に アブラハム や イサク や ヤコブ や， すべての 預言者たちがはいっているのに， あなたがたは 外に 投げ 出されることになったとき， そこで 泣き 叫んだり， 齒ぎしりしたりするのです．
- 人¿は， 東からも 西からも， また 南からも 北からも 來て， 神の 國で 食卓に 着きます．
- いいですか， 今しんがりの 者があとで 先頭になり， いま 先頭の 者がしんがりになるのです． 」
- ちょうどそのとき， 何人かの パリサイ 人が 近寄って 來て， イエス に 言った． 「ここから 出てほかの 所へ 行きなさい． ヘロデ があなたを 殺そうと 思っています． 」

- and He will say, 'I tell you, I do not know where you are from; DEPART FROM ME, ALL YOU EVILDOERS.'
- "In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves being thrown out.
- "And they will come from east and west and from north and south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God.
- "And behold, some are last who will be first and some are first who will be last."
- Just at that time some Pharisees approached, saying to Him, "Go away, leave here, for Herod wants to kill You."

- イエス は 言われた． 「行って， あの 狐にこう 言いなさい． 『よく 見なさい． わたしは， きょうと， あすとは， 惡靈どもを 追い 出し， 病人を 直し， 三日目に 全うされます．
- だが， わたしは， きょうもあすも 次の 日も 進んで 行かなければなりません． なぜなら， 預言者が エルサレム 以外の 所で 死ぬことはありえないからです． 』
- ああ， エルサレム ， エルサレム ． 預言者たちを 殺し， 自分に 遣わされた 人たちを 石で 打つ 者， わたしは， めんどりがひなを 翼の 下にかばうように， あなたの 子らを 幾たび 集めようとしたことか． それなのに， あなたがたはそれを 好まなかった．
- 見なさい． あなたがたの 家は 荒れ 果てたままに 殘される． わたしはあなたがたに 言います． 『祝福あれ． 主の 御名によって 來られる 方に． 』とあなたがたの 言うときが 來るまでは， あなたがたは 決してわたしを 見ることができません． 」

- And He said to them, "Go and tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I reach My goal.'
- "Nevertheless I must journey on today and tomorrow and the next day; for it cannot be that a prophet would perish outside of Jerusalem.
- "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, just as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not have it!
- "Behold, your house is left to you desolate; and I say to you, you will not see Me until the time comes when you say, 'BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!'"
