- そして， 彼らが 出て 行くと， シモン という クレネ 人を 見つけたので， 彼らは， この 人に イエス の 十字架を， むりやりに 背負わせた．
- ゴルゴタ という 所（「どくろ 」と 言われている 場所 ）に 來てから，
- 彼らは イエス に， 苦みを 混ぜたぶどう 酒を 飮ませようとした． イエス はそれをなめただけで， 飮もうとはされなかった．
- こうして， イエス を 十字架につけてから， 彼らはくじを 引いて， イエス の 着物を 分け，
- そこにすわって， イエス の 見張りをした．

- As they were coming out, they found a man of Cyrene named Simon, whom they pressed into service to bear His cross.
- And when they came to a place called Golgotha, which means Place of a Skull,
- they gave Him wine to drink mixed with gall; and after tasting it, He was unwilling to drink.
- And when they had crucified Him, they divided up His garments among themselves by casting lots.
- And sitting down, they began to keep watch over Him there.

- また， イエス の 頭の 上には， 「これは ユダヤ 人の 王 イエス である． 」と 書いた 罪狀書きを 揭げた．
- そのとき， イエス といっしょに， ふたりの 强盜が， ひとりは 右に， ひとりは 左に， 十字架につけられた．
- 道を 行く 人¿は， 頭を 振りながら イエス をののしって，
- 言った． 「神殿を 打ちこわして 三日で 建てる 人よ． もし， 神の 子なら， 自分を 救ってみろ． 十字架から 降りて 來い． 」
- 同じように， 祭司長たちも 律法學者， 長老たちといっしょになって， イエス をあざけって 言った．

- And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, "THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
- At that time two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left.
- And those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, wagging their heads
- and saying, "You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross."
- In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes and elders, were mocking Him and saying,

- 「彼は 他人を 救ったが， 自分は 救えない． イスラエル の 王さまなら， 今， 十字架から 降りてもらおうか． そうしたら， われわれは 信じるから．
- 彼は 神により 賴んでいる． もし 神のお 氣に 入りなら， いま 救っていただくがいい． 『わたしは 神の 子だ． 』と 言っているのだから． 」
- イエス といっしょに 十字架につけられた 强盜どもも， 同じように イエス をののしった．
- さて， 十二時から， 全地が 暗くなって， 三時まで 續いた．
- 三時ごろ， イエス は 大聲で， 「エリ ， エリ ， レマ ， サバクタニ ． 」と 叫ばれた． これは， 「わが 神， わが 神． どうしてわたしをお 見捨てになったのですか． 」という 意味である．

- "He saved others; He cannot save Himself He is the King of Israel; let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe in Him.
- "HE TRUSTS IN GOD; LET GOD RESCUE Him now, IF HE DELIGHTS IN HIM; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.'"
- The robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words.
- Now from the sixth hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour.
- About the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?" that is, "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?"

- すると， それを 聞いて， そこに 立っていた 人¿のうち， ある 人たちは， 「この 人は エリヤ を 呼んでいる． 」と 言った．
- また， 彼らのひとりがすぐ 走って 行って， 海綿を 取り， それに 酸いぶどう 酒を 含ませて， 葦の 棒につけ， イエス に 飮ませようとした．
- ほかの 者たちは， 「私たちは エリヤ が 助けに 來るかどうか 見ることとしよう． 」と 言った．
- そのとき， イエス はもう 一度大聲で 叫んで， 息を 引き 取られた．
- すると， 見よ． 神殿の 幕が 上から 下まで 眞二つに 裂けた． そして， 地が ¿れ 動き， 岩が 裂けた．

- And some of those who were standing there, when they heard it, began saying, "This man is calling for Elijah."
- Immediately one of them ran, and taking a sponge, he filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink.
- But the rest of them said, "Let us see whether Elijah will come to save Him."
- And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
- And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split.

- また， 墓が 開いて， 眠っていた 多くの 聖徒たちのからだが 生き 返った．
- そして， イエス の 復活の 後に 墓から 出て 來て， 聖都にはいって 多くの 人に 現われた．
- 百人隊長および 彼といっしょに イエス の 見張りをしていた 人¿は， 地震やいろいろの 出來事を 見て， 非常な 恐れを 感じ， 「この 方はまことに 神の 子であった． 」と 言った．
- そこには， 遠くからながめている 女たちがたくさんいた． イエス に 仕えて ガリラヤ からついて 來た 女たちであった．
- その 中に， マグダラ の マリヤ ， ヤコブ と ヨセフ との 母 マリヤ ， ゼベダイ の 子らの 母がいた．

- The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
- and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many.
- Now the centurion, and those who were with him keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were happening, became very frightened and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!"
- Many women were there looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee while ministering to Him.
- Among them was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

- 夕方になって， アリマタヤ の 金持ちで ヨセフ という 人が 來た． 彼も イエス の 弟子になっていた．
- この 人は ピラト のところに 行って， イエス のからだの 下げ 渡しを 願った． そこで， ピラト は， 渡すように 命じた．
- ヨセフ はそれを 取り 降ろして， きれいな 亞麻布に 包み，
- 岩を 掘って 造った 自分の 新しい 墓に 納めた． 墓の 入口には 大きな 石をころがしかけて 歸った．
- そこには マグダラ の マリヤ とほかの マリヤ とが 墓のほうを 向いてすわっていた．

- When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus.
- This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him.
- And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
- and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the entrance of the tomb and went away.
- And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the grave.

- さて， 次の 日， すなわち 備えの 日の 翌日， 祭司長， パリサイ 人たちは ピラト のところに 集まって，
- こう 言った． 「閣下． あの， 人をだます 男がまだ 生きていたとき， 『自分は 三日の 後によみがえる． 』と 言っていたのを 思い 出しました．
- ですから， 三日目まで 墓の 番をするように 命じてください． そうでないと， 弟子たちが 來て， 彼を 盜み 出して， 『死人の 中からよみがえった． 』と 民衆に 言うかもしれません． そうなると， この 惑わしのほうが， 前のばあいより， もっとひどいことになります． 」
- ピラト は「番兵を 出してやるから， 行ってできるだけの 番をさせるがよい． 」と 彼らに 言った．
- そこで， 彼らは 行って， 石に 封印をし， 番兵が 墓の 番をした．

- Now on the next day, the day after the preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together with Pilate,
- and said, "Sir, we remember that when He was still alive that deceiver said, 'After three days I am to rise again.'
- "Therefore, give orders for the grave to be made secure until the third day, otherwise His disciples may come and steal Him away and say to the people, 'He has risen from the dead,' and the last deception will be worse than the first."
- Pilate said to them, "You have a guard; go, make it as secure as you know how."
- And they went and made the grave secure, and along with the guard they set a seal on the stone.
