	이사야 6:1-8:22 예언자의 소명을 받은 이사야는 유다가 바벨론의 포로가 될 때까지 하나님의 심판이 계속될 것을 알았다. 이사야는 근심하는 유다 왕 아하스에게 하나님의 승리가 보장되었으나 그의 불신앙으로 인해 심판이 임할 것이라고 예언하였다. 또한, 유다가 심판을 받은 후에 앗수르는 멸망되고 유다는 구원될 것이라고 예언하였다.

	이사야의 소명(6:1-6:13)

ウジヤ王が死んだ年に，私は，高くあげられた王座に座しておられる主を見た．そのすそは神殿に滿ち，

セラフィムがその上に立っていた．彼らはそれぞれ六つの翼があり，おのおのその二つで顔をおおい，二つで兩足をおおい，二つで飛んでおり，

互いに呼びかわして言っていた．「聖なる，聖なる，聖なる，万軍の主．その榮光は全地に滿つ．」

その叫ぶ者の聲のために，敷居の基はゆるぎ，宮は煙で滿たされた．

そこで，私は言った．「ああ．私は，もうだめだ．私はくちびるの汚れた者で，くちびるの汚れた民の間に住んでいる．しかも万軍の主である王を，この目で見たのだから．」

In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple.

Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

And one called out to another and said, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory."

And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke.

Then I said, "Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts."

すると，私のもとに，セラフィムのひとりが飛んで來たが，その手には，祭壇の上から火ばさみで取った燃えさかる炭があった．

彼は，私の口に觸れて言った．「見よ．これがあなたのくちびるに觸れたので，あなたの不義は取り去られ，あなたの罪も ·われた．」

私は，「だれを遣わそう．だれが，われわれのために行くだろう．」と言っておられる主の聲を聞いたので，言った．「ここに，私がおります．私を遣わしてください．」

すると仰せられた．「行って，この民に言え．『聞き續けよ．だが悟るな．見續けよ．だが知るな．』

この民の心を肥え鈍らせ，その耳を遠くし，その目を堅く閉ざせ．自分の目で見，自分の耳で聞き，自分の心で悟り，立ち返って，いやされることのないために．」

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs.

He touched my mouth with it and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven."

Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

He said, "Go, and tell this people: 'Keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand.'

"Render the hearts of this people insensitive, Their ears dull, And their eyes dim, Otherwise they might see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their hearts, And return and be healed."

私が「主よ，いつまでですか．」と言うと，主は仰せられた．「町¿は荒れ果てて，住む者がなく，家¿も人がいなくなり，土地も滅んで荒れ果て，

主が人を遠くに移し，國の中に捨てられた所がふえるまで．

そこにはなお，十分の一が殘るが，それもまた，燒き拂われる．テレビンの木や ¿の木が切り倒されるときのように．しかし，その中に切り株がある．聖なるすえこそ，その切り株．」

Then I said, "Lord, how long?" And He answered, "Until cities are devastated and without inhabitant, Houses are without people And the land is utterly desolate,

"The LORD has removed men far away, And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.

"Yet there will be a tenth portion in it, And it will again be subject to burning, Like a terebinth or an oak Whose stump remains when it is felled The holy seed is its stump."

	임마누엘의 징표(7:1-7:25)

ウジヤの子のヨタムの子，ユダの王アハズの時のこと，アラムの王レツィンと，イスラエルの王レマルヤの子ペカが，エルサレムに上って來てこれを攻めたが，戰いに勝てなかった．

ところが，「エフライムにアラムがとどまった．」という報告がダビデの家に告げられた．すると，王の心も民の心も，林の木¿が風で ¿らぐように動¿した．

そこで主はイザヤに仰せられた．「あなたとあなたの子シェアル · ヤシュブとは出かけて行って，布さらしの野への大路のそばにある上の池の水道の端でアハズに會い，

そこで彼に言え．氣をつけて，靜かにしていなさい．恐れてはなりません．あなたは，これら二つの木切れの煙る燃えさし，レツィンすなわちアラムとレマルヤの子との燃える怒りに，心を弱らせてはなりません．

アラムはエフライムすなわちレマルヤの子とともに，あなたに對して惡事を企ててこう言っています．

Now it came about in the days of Ahaz, the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to wage war against it, but could not conquer it.

When it was reported to the house of David, saying, "The Arameans have camped in Ephraim," his heart and the hearts of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake with the wind.

Then the LORD said to Isaiah, "Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and your son Shear-jashub, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the highway to the fuller's field,

and say to him, 'Take care and be calm, have no fear and do not be fainthearted because of these two stubs of smoldering firebrands, on account of the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram and the son of Remaliah.

'Because Aram, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has planned evil against you, saying,

『われわれはユダに上って，これを脅かし，これに攻め入り，わがものとし，タベアルの子をそこの王にしよう．』と．

神である主はこう仰せられる．『そのことは起こらないし，ありえない．

實に，アラムのかしらはダマスコ，ダマスコのかしらはレツィン． ··六十五年のうちに，エフライムは粉¿されて，もう民ではなくなる． ··

また，エフライムのかしらはサマリヤ，サマリヤのかしらはレマルヤの子．もし，あなたがたが信じなければ，長く立つことはできない．』」

主は再び，アハズに告げてこう仰せられた．

"Let us go up against Judah and terrorize it, and make for ourselves a breach in its walls and set up the son of Tabeel as king in the midst of it,"

thus says the Lord GOD: "It shall not stand nor shall it come to pass.

"For the head of Aram is Damascus and the head of Damascus is Rezin (now within another 65 years Ephraim will be shattered, so that it is no longer a people),

and the head of Ephraim is Samaria and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you will not believe, you surely shall not last."'"

Then the LORD spoke again to Ahaz, saying,

「あなたの神，主から，しるしを求めよ．よみの深み，あるいは，上の高いところから．」

するとアハズは言った．「私は求めません．主を試みません．」

そこでイザヤは言った．「さあ，聞け．ダビデの家よ．あなたがたは，人¿を煩わすのは小さなこととし，私の神までも煩わすのか．

それゆえ，主みずから，あなたがたに一つのしるしを與えられる．見よ．處女がみごもっている．そして男の子を産み，その名を『インマヌエル』と名づける．

この子は，惡を退け，善を選ぶことを知るころまで，凝乳と蜂蜜を食べる．

"Ask a sign for yourself from the LORD your God; make it deep as Sheol or high as heaven."

But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, nor will I test the LORD!"

Then he said, "Listen now, O house of David! Is it too slight a thing for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God as well?

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

"He will eat curds and honey at the time He knows enough to refuse evil and choose good.

それは，まだその子が，惡を退け，善を選ぶことも知らないうちに，あなたが恐れているふたりの王の土地は，捨てられるからだ．

主は，あなたとあなたの民とあなたの父の家に，エフライムがユダから離れた日以來，まだ來たこともない日を來させる．それは，アッシリヤの王だ．」

その日になると，主はエジプトの川¿の果てにいるあのはえ，アッシリヤの地にいるあの蜂に合圖される．

すると，彼らはやって來て，みな，險しい谷，岩の割れ目，すべてのいばらの茂み，すべての牧場に巢くう．

その日，主はユ ― フラテス川の向こうで雇ったかみそり，すなわち，アッシリヤの王を使って，頭と足の毛をそり，ひげまでもそり落とす．

"For before the boy will know enough to refuse evil and choose good, the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken.

"The LORD will bring on you, on your people, and on your father's house such days as have never come since the day that Ephraim separated from Judah, the king of Assyria."

In that day the LORD will whistle for the fly that is in the remotest part of the rivers of Egypt and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.

They will all come and settle on the steep ravines, on the ledges of the cliffs, on all the thorn bushes and on all the watering places.

In that day the Lord will shave with a razor, hired from regions beyond the Euphrates (that is, with the king of Assyria), the head and the hair of the legs; and it will also remove the beard.

その日になると，ひとりの人が雌の子牛一頭と羊二頭を飼う．

これらが乳を多く出すので，凝乳を食べるようになる．國のうちに殘されたすべての者が凝乳と蜂蜜を食べるようになる．

その日になると，ぶどう千株のある，銀千枚に値する地所もみな，いばらとおどろのものとなる．

全土がいばらとおどろになるので，人¿は弓矢を持ってそこに行く．

くわで耕されたすべての山も，あなたはいばらとおどろを恐れて，そこに行かない．そこは牛の放牧地，羊の踏みつける所となる．

Now in that day a man may keep alive a heifer and a pair of sheep;

and because of the abundance of the milk produced he will eat curds, for everyone that is left within the land will eat curds and honey.

And it will come about in that day, that every place where there used to be a thousand vines, valued at a thousand shekels of silver, will become briars and thorns.

People will come there with bows and arrows because all the land will be briars and thorns.

As for all the hills which used to be cultivated with the hoe, you will not go there for fear of briars and thorns; but they will become a place for pasturing oxen and for sheep to trample.

	거치는 돌(8:1-8:22)

主は私に仰せられた．「一つの大きな板を取り，その上に普通の文字で，『マヘル · シャラル · ハシュ · バズのため．』と書け．

そうすれば，わたしは，祭司ウリヤとエベレクヤの子ゼカリヤをわたしの確かな證人として證言させる．」

そののち，私は女預言者に近づいた．彼女はみごもった．そして男の子を産んだ．すると，主は私に仰せられた．「その名を，『マヘル · シャラル · ハシュ · バズ』と呼べ．

それは，この子がまだ『お父さん．お母さん．』と呼ぶことも知らないうちに，ダマスコの財寶とサマリヤの分捕り物が，アッシリヤの王の前に持ち去られるからである．」

主はさらに，續けて私に仰せられた．

Then the LORD said to me, "Take for yourself a large tablet and write on it in ordinary letters: Swift is the booty, speedy is the prey.

"And I will take to Myself faithful witnesses for testimony, Uriah the priest and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah."

So I approached the prophetess, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. Then the LORD said to me, "Name him Maher-shalal-hash-baz;

for before the boy knows how to cry out 'My father' or 'My mother,' the wealth of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria will be carried away before the king of Assyria."

Again the LORD spoke to me further, saying,

「この民は，ゆるやかに流れるシロアハの水をないがしろにして，レツィンとレマルヤの子を喜んでいる．

それゆえ，見よ，主は，あの强く水かさの多いユ ― フラテス川の水，アッシリヤの王と，そのすべての榮光を，彼らの上にあふれさせる．それはすべての運河にあふれ，すべての堤を越え，

ユダに流れ ¿み，押し流して進み，首にまで達する．インマヌエル．その廣げた翼はあなたの國の幅いっぱいに廣がる．」

國¿の民よ．打ち破られて，わななけ．遠く離れたすべての國¿よ．耳を傾けよ．腰に帶をして，わななけ．腰に帶をして，わななけ．

はかりごとを立てよ．しかし，それは破られる．申し出をせよ．しかし，それは成らない．神が，私たちとともにおられるからだ．

"Inasmuch as these people have rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah And rejoice in Rezin and the son of Remaliah;

"Now therefore, behold, the Lord is about to bring on them the strong and abundant waters of the Euphrates, Even the king of Assyria and all his glory; And it will rise up over all its channels and go over all its banks.

"Then it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass through, It will reach even to the neck; And the spread of its wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.

"Be broken, O peoples, and be shattered; And give ear, all remote places of the earth. Gird yourselves, yet be shattered; Gird yourselves, yet be shattered.

"Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted; State a proposal, but it will not stand, For God is with us."

まことに主は强い御手をもって私を捕え，私にこう仰せられた．この民の道に步まないよう，私を戒めて仰せられた．

「この民が謀反と呼ぶことをみな，謀反と呼ぶな．この民の恐れるものを恐れるな．おののくな．

万軍の主，この方を，聖なる方とし，この方を，あなたがたの恐れ，この方を，あなたがたのおののきとせよ．

そうすれば，この方が聖所となられる．しかし，イスラエルの二つの家には妨げの石とつまずきの岩，エルサレムの住民にはわなとなり，落とし穴となる．

多くの者がそれにつまずき，倒れて ¿かれ，わなにかけられて捕えられる．

For thus the LORD spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

"You are not to say, 'It is a conspiracy!' In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.

"It is the LORD of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, And He shall be your dread.

"Then He shall become a sanctuary; But to both the houses of Israel, a stone to strike and a rock to stumble over, And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

"Many will stumble over them, Then they will fall and be broken; They will even be snared and caught."

このあかしをたばねよ．このおしえをわたしの弟子たちの心のうちに封ぜよ．」

私は主を待つ．ヤコブの家から御顔を隱しておられる方を．私はこの方に，望みをかける．

見よ．私と，主が私に下さった子たちとは，シオンの山に住む万軍の主からのイスラエルでのしるしとなり，不思議となっている．

人¿があなたがたに，「靈媒や，さえずり，ささやく口寄せに尋ねよ．」と言うとき，民は自分の神に尋ねなければならない．生きている者のために，死人に伺いを立てなければならないのか．

おしえとあかしに尋ねなければならない．もし，このことばに從って語らなければ，その人には夜明けがない．

Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

And I will wait for the LORD who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob; I will even look eagerly for Him.

Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion.

When they say to you, "Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter," should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?

To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.

彼は，迫害され，飢えて，國を步き回り，飢えて，怒りに身をゆだねる．上を仰いでは自分の王と神をのろう．

地を見ると，見よ，苦難とやみ，苦惱の暗やみ，暗黑，追放された者．

They will pass through the land hard-pressed and famished, and it will turn out that when they are hungry, they will be enraged and curse their king and their God as they face upward.

Then they will look to the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and they will be driven away into darkness.
