고린도전서 9:19-10:13

 바울은 복음을 위하여 유대인에게는 유대인처럼, 이방인에게는 이방인처럼, 약한 자들에게는 약한 자처럼 행하였다고 고백하였다. 그리고 이스라엘 출애굽 과정 동안 하나님께 행한 범죄를 거울 삼아 죄악에서 돌아설 것을 권면하였다.
  
  모든 사람의 종(9:19-9:27)    
 
  1. For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I may win more.
  2. To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might win Jews; to those who are under the Law, as under the Law though not being myself under the Law, so that I might win those who are under the Law;
  3. to those who are without law, as without law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I might win those who are without law.
  4. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.
  5. I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.
  1. 내가 모든 사람에게 자유하였으나 스스로 모든 사람에게 종이 된 것은 더 많은 사람을 얻고자 함이라
  2. 유대인들에게는 내가 유대인과 같이 된 것은 유대인들을 얻고자 함이요 율법 아래 있는 자들에게는 내가 율법 아래 있지 아니하나 율법 아래 있는 자 같이 된 것은 율법 아래 있는 자들을 얻고자 함이요
  3. 율법 없는 자에게는 내가 하나님께는 율법 없는 자가 아니요 도리어 그리스도의 율법 아래 있는 자나 율법 없는 자와 같이 된 것은 율법 없는 자들을 얻고자 함이라
  4. 약한 자들에게는 내가 약한 자와 같이 된 것은 약한 자들을 얻고자 함이요 여러 사람에게 내가 여러 모양이 된 것은 아무쪼록 몇몇 사람들을 구원코자 함이니
  5. 내가 복음을 위하여 모든 것을 행함은 복음에 참예하고자 함이라
  1. Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.
  2. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
  3. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air;
  4. but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
  1. 운동장에서 달음질하는 자들이 다 달아날찌라도 오직 상 얻는 자는 하나인 줄을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 너희도 얻도록 이와 같이 달음질하라
  2. 이기기를 다투는 자마다 모든 일에 절제하나니 저희는 썩을 면류관을 얻고자 하되 우리는 썩지 아니할 것을 얻고자 하노라
  3. 그러므로 내가 달음질하기를 향방 없는것 같이 아니하고 싸우기를 허공을 치는것 같이 아니하여
  4. 내가 내 몸을 쳐 복종하게 함은 내가 남에게 전파한 후에 자기가 도리어 버림이 될까 두려워함이로라
 
  역사의 교훈(10:1-10:13)    
 
  1. For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea;
  2. and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
  3. and all ate the same spiritual food;
  4. and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ.
  5. Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness.
  1. 형제들아 너희가 알지 못하기를 내가 원치 아니하노니 우리 조상들이 다 구름 아래 있고 바다 가운데로 지나며
  2. 모세에게 속하여 다 구름과 바다에서 세례를 받고
  3. 다 같은 신령한 식물을 먹으며
  4. 다 같은 신령한 음료를 마셨으니 이는 저희를 따르는 신령한 반석으로부터 마셨으매 그 반석은 곧 그리스도시라
  5. 그러나 저희의 다수를 하나님이 기뻐하지 아니하신고로 저희가 광야에서 멸망을 받았느니라
  1. Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved.
  2. Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, "THE PEOPLE SAT DOWN TO EAT AND DRINK, AND STOOD UP TO PLAY."
  3. Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
  4. Nor let us try the Lord, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents.
  5. Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer.
  1. 그런 일은 우리의 거울이 되어 우리로 하여금 저희가 악을 즐겨한 것 같이 즐겨하는 자가 되지 않게 하려 함이니
  2. 저희 중에 어떤 이들과 같이 너희는 우상 숭배하는 자가 되지 말라 기록된바 백성이 앉아서 먹고 마시며 일어나서 뛰논다 함과 같으니라
  3. 저희 중에 어떤 이들이 간음하다가 하루에 이만 삼천 명이 죽었나니 우리는 저희와 같이 간음하지 말자
  4. 저희 중에 어떤이들이 주를 시험하다가 뱀에게 멸망하였나니 우리는 저희와 같이 시험하지 말자
  5. 저희 중에 어떤이들이 원망하다가 멸망시키는 자에게 멸망하였나니 너희는 저희와 같이 원망하지 말라
  1. Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
  2. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall.
  3. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
  1. 저희에게 당한 이런 일이 거울이 되고 또한 말세를 만난 우리의 경계로 기록하였느니라
  2. 그런즉 선 줄로 생각하는 자는 넘어질까 조심하라
  3. 사람이 감당할 시험 밖에는 너희에게 당한 것이 없나니 오직 하나님은 미쁘사 너희가 감당치 못할 시험 당함을 허락지 아니하시고 시험 당할 즈음에 또한 피할 길을 내사 너희로 능히 감당하게 하시느니라
