열왕기하 15:1-16:20

 남유다는 아사랴와 요담의 선정을 통하여 비교적 안정을 누렸으나, 북이스라엘은 무려 다섯 명의 왕들(스가랴, 살룸, 므나헴, 브가히야, 베가)이 계속 악을 행하여 반역으로 정권을 교체하였고, 결국 하나님의 심판으로 멸망하였다. 또한, 남유다 왕들 중에서 드물게 사악했던 왕 아하스 왕은 우상을 숭배하는 가증한 죄를 범하였으며, 하나님의 징벌로 아람과 북이스라엘의 침공을 당했을 때는 하나님보다 앗수르 왕을 의지하는 죄악을 자행하였다.
  
  아사랴의 유다 통치(15:1-15:7)    
 
  1. In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah became king.
  2. He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
  3. He did right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.
  4. Only the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.
  5. The LORD struck the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death And he lived in a separate house, while Jotham the king's son was over the household, judging the people of the land.
  1. 이스라엘 왕 여로보암 2세 27년에 아마샤의 아들 웃시야가 유다 왕이 되었다.
  2. 그는 16세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 52년을 통치하였다. 그리고 그의 어머니는 예루살렘 사람 여골리야였다.
  3. 웃시야는 자기 아버지 아마샤를 본받아 여호와께서 보시기에 옳은 일을 하였으나

  2. And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and Jotham his son became king in his place.
  1. 그 밖에 웃시야가 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  2. 그는 죽어 다윗성에 있는 그 조상들의 묘 곁에 장사되었고 그의 아들 요담이 왕위를 계승하였다.
 
  북이스라엘 왕들의 악정(15:8-15:31)    
 
  1. In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam became king over Israel in Samaria for six months.
  2. He did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
  3. Then Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him and struck him before the people and killed him, and reigned in his place.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
  5. This is the word of the LORD which He spoke to Jehu, saying, "Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel." And so it was.
  1. 유다의 웃시야왕 38년에 여로보암 2세의 아들 스가랴가 이스라엘의 왕이 되어 사마리아에서 6개월 동안 통치하였다.
  2. 그도 자기 선왕들처럼 여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행하며 이스라엘 백성을 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암을 본받아 그 죄에서 떠나지 않았다.
  3. 야베스의 아들 살룸이 반역을 일으켜 그를 이블르암에서 살해하고 자기가 대신 왕이 되었다.
  4. 그 밖에 스가랴가 행한 모든 일은 이스라엘 왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  5. 이렇게 하여 전에 여호와께서 예후에게 '네 자손이 4대를 이어 이스라엘의 왕이 될 것이다.' 라고 말씀하신 예언이 그대로 이루어졌다.
  1. Shallum son of Jabesh became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigned one month in Samaria.
  2. Then Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah and came to Samaria, and struck Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and killed him and became king in his place.
  3. Now the rest of the acts of Shallum and his conspiracy which he made, behold they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
  4. Then Menahem struck Tiphsah and all who were in it and its borders from Tirzah, because they did not open to him; therefore he struck it and ripped up all its women who were with child.
  5. In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi became king over Israel and reigned ten years in Samaria.
  1. 유다의 웃시야왕 초년에 야베스의 아들 살룸이 이스라엘의 왕이 되어 사마리아에서 한 달 동안 통치하였다.
  2. 그때 가디의 아들 므나헴이 디르사에서 사마리아로 올라가 살룸을 살해하고 자기가 대신 왕이 되었다.
  3. 살룸이 행한 모든 일과 그의 반역 행위는 이스라엘 왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  4. 그때 므나헴은 디르사에서부터 시작하여 딥사와 그 성 안에 있는 모든 사람들과 그 주변 일대를 쳤는데 이것은 그들이 성문을 열고 그를 환영해 주지 않았기 때문이었다. 그래서 그는 모든 사람들을 죽이고 임신한 여자들의 배를 갈랐다.

  1. He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
  2. Pul, king of Assyria, came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver so that his hand might be with him to strengthen the kingdom under his rule.
  3. Then Menahem exacted the money from Israel, even from all the mighty men of wealth, from each man fifty shekels of silver to pay the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria returned and did not remain there in the land.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Menahem and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
  5. And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his son became king in his place.
  1. 그는 여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행하며 이스라엘 백성을 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암을 본받아 평생 그 죄에서 떠나지 않았다.
  2. 그때 앗시리아의 디글랏-빌레셀왕이 이스라엘을 침략하자 므나헴은 그에게 은 34톤을 주고 그의 도움을 받아 자기 권력의 기반을 굳히려고 하였다.
  3. 그는 부유층의 이스라엘 사람들에게 강제로 일인당 은 570그램씩 내게 하여 그 은을 앗시리아 왕에게 주었다. 그래서 디글랏-빌레셀은 자기 군대를 철수시키고 더 이상 그 땅에 머물지 않았다.

  1. In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.
  2. He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
  3. Then Pekah son of Remaliah, his officer, conspired against him and struck him in Samaria, in the castle of the king's house with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites, and he killed him and became king in his place.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Pekahiah and all that he did, behold they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
  5. In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.
  1. 유다의 웃시야왕 50년에 므나헴의 아들 브가히야가 이스라엘의 왕이 되어 사마리아에서 2년을 통치하였다.
  2. 그는 여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행하며 이스라엘 백성을 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암을 본받아 그 죄에서 떠나지 않았다.
  3. 그때 그의 군대 지휘관 중 한 사람인 르말랴의 아들 베가가 길르앗 사람 50명과 함께 반역을 일으켜 사마리아 궁중 요새에서 왕과 아르곱과 아리에를 살해하고 자기가 대신 왕이 되었다.
  4. 브가히야가 행한 모든 일은 이스라엘 왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  5. 유다의 웃시야왕 52년에 르말랴의 아들 베가가 이스라엘의 왕이 되어 사마리아에서 20년을 통치하였다.
  1. He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
  2. In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon and Abel-beth-maacah and Janoah and Kedesh and Hazor and Gilead and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.
  3. And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and struck him and put him to death and became king in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Pekah and all that he did, behold, they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
  1. 그는 여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행하며 이스라엘 백성을 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암을 본받아 그 죄에서 떠나지 않았다.
  2. 베가가 나라를 다스리던 당시 앗시리아의 디글랏-빌레셀왕이 이스라엘을 침략하여 이욘, 아벨-벧-마아가, 야노아, 게데스, 하솔, 길르앗, 갈릴리, 그리고 납달리 전 지역을 정복하고 그 백성들을 사로잡아 앗시리아로 끌고 갔다.
  3. 그러자 웃시야의 아들인 유다의 요담왕 20년에 엘라의 아들 호세아가 반역을 일으켜 르말야의 아들 베가를 살해하고 자기가 대신 왕이 되었다.
  4. 그 밖에 베가가 행한 모든 일은 이스라엘 왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
 
  요담, 아하스의 유다 통치(15:32-16:20)    
 
  1. In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah became king.
  2. He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.
  3. He did what was right in the sight of the LORD; he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.
  4. Only the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places He built the upper gate of the house of the LORD.
  5. Now the rest of the acts of Jotham and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
  1. 르말랴의 아들인 이스라엘의 베가 왕 2년에 웃시야의 아들 요담이 유다 왕이 되었다.
  2. 그는 25세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 16년을 통치하였다. 그리고 그의 어머니는 사독의 딸 여루사였다.
  3. 요담은 자기 아버지 웃시야의 모든 행위를 본받아 여호와께서 보시기에 옳은 일을 하였으나
  4. 그는 산당을 헐지 않았으므로 백성들이 계속 거기에 가서 제사를 드리며 분향하였다. 그리고 그는 성전의 북문도 건축하였다.
  5. 그 밖에 요담이 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  1. In those days the LORD began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah against Judah.
  2. And Jotham slept with his fathers, and he was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Ahaz his son became king in his place.
  1. 그 당시에 여호와께서는 시리아의 르신왕과 이스라엘의 베가왕을 보내 유다를 치게 하셨다.
  2. 요담은 죽어 다윗성에 있는 그 조상들의 묘에 장사되었고 그의 아들 아하스가 왕위를 계승하였다.
 
 
  1. In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah, Ahaz the son of Jotham, king of Judah, became king.
  2. Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not do what was right in the sight of the LORD his God, as his father David had done.
  3. But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and even made his son pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had driven out from before the sons of Israel.
  4. He sacrificed and burned incense on the high places and on the hills and under every green tree.
  5. Then Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem to wage war; and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.
  1. 르말랴의 아들인 이스라엘의 베가왕 17년에 요담의 아들 아하스가 유다 왕이 되었다.
  2. 그는 20세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 16년을 통치하였다. 그러나 그는 그의 조상 다윗과 같지 않아 그의 하나님 여호와께서 보시기에 옳은 일을 하지 않고

  1. At that time Rezin king of Aram recovered Elath for Aram, and cleared the Judeans out of Elath entirely; and the Arameans came to Elath and have lived there to this day.
  2. So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying, "I am your servant and your son; come up and deliver me from the hand of the king of Aram and from the hand of the king of Israel, who are rising up against me."
  3. Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD and in the treasuries of the king's house, and sent a present to the king of Assyria.
  4. So the king of Assyria listened to him; and the king of Assyria went up against Damascus and captured it, and carried the people of it away into exile to Kir, and put Rezin to death.
  5. Now King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and saw the altar which was at Damascus; and King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the pattern of the altar and its model, according to all its workmanship.
  1. 그러나 그 당시에 시리아의 르신왕은 엘랏을 다시 장악하여 거기에 사는 유대인들을 쫓아내고 시리아 사람들을 보내 살게 하였는데 지금도 그들은 그 곳에 살고 있다.
  2. 아하스왕은 앗시리아의 디글랏-빌레셀왕에게 이런 전갈을 보냈다. '나는 왕의 종입니다. 올라오셔서 나를 치는 시리아 왕과 이스라엘 왕의 손에서 나를 구해 주십시오.'
  3. 그리고서 아하스왕은 성전과 궁전에 있는 은과 금을 내어다가 앗시리아 왕에게 선물로 보냈다.
  4. 그래서 디글랏-빌레셀은 아하스의 요청에 응하여 군대를 이끌고 와서 다마스커스를 정복하고 르신왕을 죽였으며 그 곳 사람들을 생포하여 길성으로 끌고 갔다.
  5. 아하스왕이 디글랏-빌레셀왕을 만나러 다마스커스에 갔을 때 그는 그 곳에 있는 단을 보고 그 구조와 모양을 세밀히 그려 제사장 우리야에게 보냈다.
  1. So Urijah the priest built an altar; according to all that King Ahaz had sent from Damascus, thus Urijah the priest made it, before the coming of King Ahaz from Damascus.
  2. When the king came from Damascus, the king saw the altar; then the king approached the altar and went up to it,
  3. and burned his burnt offering and his meal offering, and poured his drink offering and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings on the altar.
  4. The bronze altar, which was before the LORD, he brought from the front of the house, from between his altar and the house of the LORD, and he put it on the north side of his altar.
  5. Then King Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, "Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering and the evening meal offering and the king's burnt offering and his meal offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land and their meal offering and their drink offerings; and sprinkle on it all the blood of the burnt offering and all the blood of the sacrifice But the bronze altar shall be for me to inquire by."
  1. 그래서 우리야는 아하스왕이 돌아오기도 전에 그려 보낸 모양대로 단을 만들었다.
  2. 아하스왕은 다마스커스에서 돌아와 만들어 놓은 단을 보고 그 위에 불로 태워 바치는 번제와 곡식으로 바치는 소제를 드리고 또 술을 따르는 전제를 드리며 화목제의 피를 그 단에 뿌렸다.
  3. (12절과 같음)
  4. 그런 다음 그는 성전 입구와 새로 만든 그 단 사이에 있던 여호와의 놋단을 새로 만든 단의 북쪽으로 옮겼다.
  5. 그리고서 아하스왕은 제사장 우리야에게 이렇게 명령하였다. '당신은 아침에 드리는 번제, 저녁에 드리는 소제, 왕의 번제와 소제. 그리고 백성의 모든 번제와 소제와 전제를 이 큰 단에서 드리고 모든 제물의 피를 이 단에 뿌리시오. 그리고 그 놋단은 무엇을 물어 볼 일이 있을 때 내가 개인적으로 사용할 수 있도록 간수하시오.'
  1. So Urijah the priest did according to all that King Ahaz commanded.
  2. Then King Ahaz cut off the borders of the stands, and removed the laver from them; he also took down the sea from the bronze oxen which were under it and put it on a pavement of stone.
  3. The covered way for the sabbath which they had built in the house, and the outer entry of the king, he removed from the house of the LORD because of the king of Assyria.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
  5. So Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and his son Hezekiah reigned in his place.
  1. 그래서 우리야는 왕이 명령한 그대로 하였다.
  2. 아하스왕은 성전에서 물을 운반하는 데 사용했던 놋받침에서 옆면의 놋판을 떼어내고 그 위에 얹혀 있는 물통을 들어내었으며 또 놋소 위에 있던 물탱크를 내려 돌판 위에 두었다.
  3. 그리고 그는 앗시리아 왕의 호감을 사려고 성전에서 왕이 앉는 자리를 제거하고 왕이 성전으로 들어가는 출입로를 막아 버렸다.
  4. 그 밖에 아하스왕이 행한 모든 일은 유다왕들의 역사책에 기록되어 있다.
  5. 그는 죽어 다윗성에 있는 그 조상들의 묘에 장사되었고 그의 아들 히스기야가 왕위를 계승하였다.
