욥기 34:1-36:33

 엘리후는 의롭다고 주장하는 욥을 악인에 비유하면서, 욥이 하나님을 거역하는 말을 많이 한다고 하였다. 그리고 하나님의 공의와 공평하심을 들어 욥을 비난하면서, 고난 가운데서 하나님께 불평하지 말라고 권고하였다.
  
  엘리후의 변론(34:1-36:33)    
 
  1. Then Elihu continued and said,
  2. "Hear my words, you wise men, And listen to me, you who know.
  3. "For the ear tests words As the palate tastes food.
  4. "Let us choose for ourselves what is right; Let us know among ourselves what is good.
  5. "For Job has said, 'I am righteous, But God has taken away my right;
  1. 엘리후는 다시 말을 이었다.
  2. '지혜 있는 자들아, 내 말을 들으시오. 지식 있는 자들이여, 내 말에 귀를 기울이시오.
  3. 좋은 음식은 맛을 보면 알듯이 지혜 있는 말도 들어 보면 압니다.
  4. 무엇이 옳고 무엇이 선한 것인지 우리 함께 알아보도록 합시다.
  5. 욥은 이런 말을 했습니다. '나는 죄가 없으나 하나님은 그것을 인정하지 않으신다.
  1. Should I lie concerning my right? My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.'
  2. "What man is like Job, Who drinks up derision like water,
  3. Who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, And walks with wicked men?
  4. "For he has said, 'It profits a man nothing When he is pleased with God.'
  5. "Therefore, listen to me, you men of understanding. Far be it from God to do wickedness, And from the Almighty to do wrong.
  1. 내가 잘못이 없는데도 거짓말장이처럼 되었고 내가 죄도 짓지 않았는데 내 상처는 낫지 않는구나.'
  2. 여러분은 이 욥과 같은 자를 본 일이 있습니까? 욥은 비웃는 일을 물마시듯 하고 있습니다.
  3. 그는 악한 자들과 사귀며 그들과 함께 다니고 있을 뿐만 아니라
  4. 사람이 하나님을 기쁘게 하려고 해도 아무 소용이 없다고 말합니다.
  5. 그러니 총명한 자들이여, 내 말을 들으시오. 전능하신 하나님은 악을 행하는 일도 없으시고 그릇된 일을 행하는 일도 없으십니다.
  1. "For He pays a man according to his work, And makes him find it according to his way.
  2. "Surely, God will not act wickedly, And the Almighty will not pervert justice.
  3. "Who gave Him authority over the earth? And who has laid on Him the whole world?
  4. "If He should determine to do so, If He should gather to Himself His spirit and His breath,
  5. All flesh would perish together, And man would return to dust.
  1. 그는 사람이 행한 대로 갚아 주시는 분이십니다.
  2. 그러므로 전능하신 하나님이 악을 행하시고 공정치 못하다는 것은 감히 생각할 수도 없는 일이오.
  3. 누가 그에게 땅을 다스리는 권세를 주었으며 온 세계를 그에게 맡겼습니까?
  4. 만일 하나님이 그의 영과 숨을 거두어 가신다면
  5. 모든 생명체는 사라질 것이며 사람은 다시 흙으로 돌아갈 것입니다.
  1. "But if you have understanding, hear this; Listen to the sound of my words.
  2. "Shall one who hates justice rule? And will you condemn the righteous mighty One,
  3. Who says to a king, 'Worthless one,' To nobles, 'Wicked ones';
  4. Who shows no partiality to princes Nor regards the rich above the poor, For they all are the work of His hands?
  5. "In a moment they die, and at midnight People are shaken and pass away, And the mighty are taken away without a hand.
  1. 여러분이 지혜 있는 사람들이라면 이제 내 말을 들으시오.
  2. 만일 하나님이 정의를 미워하는 분이시라면 어떻게 다스릴 수 있겠습니까? 의롭고 전능하신 분을 죄인으로 단정할 수 있겠습니까?
  3. 하나님은 왕과 귀족들이라도 악하고 무가치하다고 말씀하시는 분이십니다.
  4. 또 그는 왕족이라고 해서 더 많은 관심을 가지시거나 부자라고 해서 가난한 자보다 더 낫게 여기시는 것이 아닙니다. 이들은 다 그의 손으로 만든 피조물이기 때문입니다.
  5. 사람은 밤중에 갑자기 죽을 수도 있습니다. 사람의 손 하나 대지 않아도 권세 있는 자가 순식간에 죽어 사라집니다.
  1. "For His eyes are upon the ways of a man, And He sees all his steps.
  2. "There is no darkness or deep shadow Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
  3. "For He does not need to consider a man further, That he should go before God in judgment.
  4. "He breaks in pieces mighty men without inquiry, And sets others in their place.
  5. "Therefore He knows their works, And He overthrows them in the night, And they are crushed.
  1. 하나님은 모든 사람의 행동을 세심히 지켜보고 계시기 때문에
  2. 악을 행하는 자가 숨을 만한 흑암이나 그늘이 있을 수 없습니다.
  3. 하나님은 사람을 심판하시는 데 오래 생각하실 필요가 없는 분이십니다.
  4. 그는 조사할 것도 없이 세력 있는 자를 꺾고 그 자리에 다른 사람을 앉히기도 합니다.
  5. 이와 같이 하나님은 사람들이 행하는 것을 다 아시기 때문에 그들을 하룻밤 사이에 뒤엎어 파멸시킵니다.
  1. "He strikes them like the wicked In a public place,
  2. Because they turned aside from following Him, And had no regard for any of His ways;
  3. So that they caused the cry of the poor to come to Him, And that He might hear the cry of the afflicted--
  4. When He keeps quiet, who then can condemn? And when He hides His face, who then can behold Him, That is, in regard to both nation and man?--
  5. So that godless men would not rule Nor be snares of the people.
  1. 그가 모든 사람이 보는 가운데 악한 자들을 벌하시는 이유는
  2. 그들이 자기를 떠나고 그의 모든 명령을 무시하였기 때문입니다.
  3. 그들이 가난한 자들을 억울하게 하여 하나님께 부르짖지 않을 수 없도록 하였으므로 하나님은 그 고통당하는 자들의 부르짖음을 들으셨습니다.
  4. 하나님이 침묵을 지키신다고 해서 누가 감히 그를 비난할 수 있겠습니까? 또 하나님이 그의 얼굴을 가리시면 누가 그를 볼 수 있겠습니까? 그가 사람이나 나라를 다 같이 살피시는 것은
  5. 권력자가 정권을 잡아 백성을 괴롭히지 못하게 하기 위해서입니다.
  1. "For has anyone said to God, 'I have borne chastisement; I will not offend anymore;
  2. Teach me what I do not see; If I have done iniquity, I will not do it again'?
  3. "Shall He recompense on your terms, because you have rejected it? For you must choose, and not I; Therefore declare what you know.
  4. "Men of understanding will say to me, And a wise man who hears me,
  5. 'Job speaks without knowledge, And his words are without wisdom.
  1. 욥, 너는 하나님께 이런 말을 하였다. '내가 징계를 받았으니 다시는 죄를 짖지 않겠습니다.
  2. 내가 깨닫지 못하는 것을 가르쳐 주소서. 만일 내가 잘못한 것이 있으면 다시는 그렇게 하지 않겠습니다.'
  3. 네가 하나님의 형벌을 거절한다고 해서 하나님이 네 조건대로 하시겠느냐? 이것은 어디까지나 네가 대답할 문제이다. 이제 네 생각을 나에게 말하여라.
  4. 조금이라도 식별력이 있고 지혜가 있는 사람이라면 네가 하는 말을 듣고 '욥의 말은 무식하고 지혜가 없다.' 할 것이다.
  5. (34절과 같음)
  1. 'Job ought to be tried to the limit, Because he answers like wicked men.
  2. 'For he adds rebellion to his sin; He claps his hands among us, And multiplies his words against God.'"
  1. 네가 하나님께 말하는 태도가 악한 자와 같으므로 끝까지 시련을 겪어야 하겠다.
  2. 이것은 네가 이미 지은 죄에 거역하는 죄까지 더하여 우리 앞에서 손뼉을 치며 하나님을 비웃고 있기 때문이다.'
 
 
  1. Then Elihu continued and said,
  2. "Do you think this is according to justice? Do you say, 'My righteousness is more than God's'?
  3. "For you say, 'What advantage will it be to You? What profit will I have, more than if I had sinned?'
  4. "I will answer you, And your friends with you.
  5. "Look at the heavens and see; And behold the clouds--they are higher than you.
  1. 엘리후는 말을 계속하였다.
  2. '욥, 너는 하나님 앞에 죄가 없다고 말하며 '내가 죄를 짖지 않는다고 해서 그것이 나에게 무슨 유익이 있습니까?' 하고 묻는 것이 옳다고 생각하느냐?
  3. (2절과 같음)
  4. 내가 너와 네 친구들에게 대답해 주겠다.
  5. 너는 하늘을 우러러보고 네 위에 높이 걸려 있는 구름을 바라보아라.
  1. "If you have sinned, what do you accomplish against Him? And if your transgressions are many, what do you do to Him?
  2. "If you are righteous, what do you give to Him, Or what does He receive from your hand?
  3. "Your wickedness is for a man like yourself, And your righteousness is for a son of man.
  4. "Because of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; They cry for help because of the arm of the mighty.
  5. "But no one says, 'Where is God my Maker, Who gives songs in the night,
  1. 네가 범죄한다고 하나님이 해를 입겠느냐? 네 죄가 많다고 한들 그것이 하나님께 무슨 영향을 미치겠느냐?
  2. 네가 의롭다고 해서 그것이 하나님께 무슨 유익을 줄 수 있겠느냐? 하나님이 너에게서 필요로 하는 것은 아무것도 없다.
  3. 네 죄 때문에 해를 입을 자는 너와 같은 사람뿐이며 너의 의로움으로 유익을 얻을 자도 사람뿐이다.
  4. 사람들은 학대를 받으면 부르짖고 누가 와서 도와 주기를 호소한다.
  5. 그러나 밤중에도 노래를 주시며 땅의 짐승보다 우리에게 더 많은 것을 가르치시고 공중의 새보다 우리를 더 지혜롭게 하시는 나의 창조주 하나님이 어디 계신가?' 하고 말하는 자는 하나도 없구나.
  1. Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth And makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?'
  2. "There they cry out, but He does not answer Because of the pride of evil men.
  3. "Surely God will not listen to an empty cry, Nor will the Almighty regard it.
  4. "How much less when you say you do not behold Him, The case is before Him, and you must wait for Him!
  5. "And now, because He has not visited in His anger, Nor has He acknowledged transgression well,
  1. (10절과 같음)
  2. 사람들이 부르짖을 때 하나님이 듣지 않으시는 것은 그들이 교만하고 악하기 때문이다.
  3. 전능하신 하나님은 그들의 헛된 부르짖음이 귀를 기울이시지도 않고 듣지도 않으신다.
  4. 그런데 하나님은 볼 수 없고 네 문제는 그분 앞에 있으니 기다릴 수밖에 없다고 말하는 너에게 하나님이 어떻게 응답하시겠느냐?
  5. 너는 하나님이 벌을 주시지 않으며 죄에 대해서도 별로 관심을 갖지 않으신다고 생각하고 있다.
  1. So Job opens his mouth emptily; He multiplies words without knowledge."
  1. 그래서 네가 입을 열어 헛된 말을 많이 지껄이지만 너는 네가 하는 말도 깨닫지 못하고 있다.'
 
 
  1. Then Elihu continued and said,
  2. "Wait for me a little, and I will show you That there is yet more to be said in God's behalf.
  3. "I will fetch my knowledge from afar, And I will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
  4. "For truly my words are not false; One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
  5. "Behold, God is mighty but does not despise any; He is mighty in strength of understanding.
  1. 엘리후는 다시 말을 이었다.
  2. '너는 좀더 참고 내 말을 들어라. 내가 말하는 참뜻을 보여 주겠다. 나는 아직도 하나님을 위해서 할 말이 있다.
  3. 나는 광범위하게 습득한 내 지식을 총동원하여 나를 지으신 하나님이 의로우신 분임을 너에게 설명해 주겠다.
  4. 내가 하는 말에는 하나도 거짓이 없다. 너는 참으로 지혜 있는 사람을 네 눈 앞에서 보고 있다.
  5. 하나님은 전능하시지만 아무도 멸시하지 않으신다. 그분은 모르는 것이 아무것도 없다.
  1. "He does not keep the wicked alive, But gives justice to the afflicted.
  2. "He does not withdraw His eyes from the righteous; But with kings on the throne He has seated them forever, and they are exalted.
  3. "And if they are bound in fetters, And are caught in the cords of affliction,
  4. Then He declares to them their work And their transgressions, that they have magnified themselves.
  5. "He opens their ear to instruction, And commands that they return from evil.
  1. 그는 악인이 그대로 살아가도록 내버려 두지 않으시고 가난한 자를 언제나 정당하게 대우하시며
  2. 의롭게 사는 자들을 보호하시고 그들을 왕과 같이 높여 영원히 존귀하게 하신다.
  3. 사람들이 고통의 사슬과 환난의 줄에 매이면
  4. 하나님은 그들이 교만하게 행한 일과 그들의 잘못을 보여 주시고
  5. 그들에게 경고의 말씀을 듣게 하여 죄악에서 돌아서게 하신다.
  1. "If they hear and serve Him, They will end their days in prosperity And their years in pleasures.
  2. "But if they do not hear, they shall perish by the sword And they will die without knowledge.
  3. "But the godless in heart lay up anger; They do not cry for help when He binds them.
  4. "They die in youth, And their life perishes among the cult prostitutes.
  5. "He delivers the afflicted in their affliction, And opens their ear in time of oppression.
  1. 만일 그들이 하나님께 순종하고 그를 섬기면 그들의 여생을 행복하고 즐겁게 보낼 수 있을 것이며
  2. 만일 그들이 순종하지 않으면 그들은 칼날에 망하고 무지 가운데서 죽을 것이다.
  3. 경건치 않은 자들은 하나님께 벌을 받아도 마음에 분노를 품고 하나님께 도와 달라고 부르짖지 않는다.
  4. 그들은 창녀처럼 방탕하게 살다가 젊은 나이에 죽고 만다.
  5. 그러나 하나님은 고통당하는 자들을 구하시고 그들이 고통 중에 있을 때 그들의 귀를 여신다.
  1. "Then indeed, He enticed you from the mouth of distress, Instead of it, a broad place with no constraint; And that which was set on your table was full of fatness.
  2. "But you were full of judgment on the wicked; Judgment and justice take hold of you.
  3. "Beware that wrath does not entice you to scoffing; And do not let the greatness of the ransom turn you aside.
  4. "Will your riches keep you from distress, Or all the forces of your strength?
  5. "Do not long for the night, When people vanish in their place.
  1. 하나님이 너를 위험한 가운데서 이끌어내어 안전하게 살게 하셨으므로 네 상에는 언제나 기름진 음식이 떨어지지 않았다.
  2. 그러나 이제는 네가 마땅히 받아야 할 벌을 받고 있다.
  3. 너는 다른 사람에게 화를 내다가 하나님을 조소하는 일이 없도록 조심하고 네가 고통을 당한다고 해서 너를 구원하실 분을 대적하지 말아라.
  4. 너의 부나 세력이 고통당하는 너에게 유익을 줄 수 있다고 생각하느냐?
  5. 너는 사람을 그 있던 곳에서 끌어가는 밤을 사모하지 말아라.
  1. "Be careful, do not turn to evil, For you have preferred this to affliction.
  2. "Behold, God is exalted in His power; Who is a teacher like Him?
  3. "Who has appointed Him His way, And who has said, 'You have done wrong'?
  4. "Remember that you should exalt His work, Of which men have sung.
  5. "All men have seen it; Man beholds from afar.
  1. 너는 악으로 치우치지 않도록 조심하라. 네가 환난보다 악을 더 좋아하고 있다.
  2. 하나님의 능력이 얼마나 위대한지 보아라. 누가 그분처럼 가르칠 수 있겠느냐?
  3. 그의 길을 결정해 줄 자가 어디 있으며 그가 행하시는 일이 잘못되었다고 말할 자가 누구인가?
  4. 하나님이 하시는 일은 언제나 찬양을 받았다. 그러므로 너도 그를 찬양하여라.
  5. 모든 사람은 하나님이 하시는 일을 보지만 다 멀리서 바라볼 뿐이다.
  1. "Behold, God is exalted, and we do not know Him; The number of His years is unsearchable.
  2. "For He draws up the drops of water, They distill rain from the mist,
  3. Which the clouds pour down, They drip upon man abundantly.
  4. "Can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds, The thundering of His pavilion?
  5. "Behold, He spreads His lightning about Him, And He covers the depths of the sea.
  1. 하나님은 너무 위대하시기 때문에 우리가 그를 알 수 없고 그의 연수도 헤아릴 수가 없다.
  2. 그가 물을 끌어올리시자 그것이 수증기가 되어 공중에 떠돌아다니다가 빗방울이 되어 사람 위에 쏟아진다.
  3. (27절과 같음)
  4. 하나님이 어떻게 구름을 펼치시며 천둥 소리가 나게 하시는지 누가 알겠느냐?
  5. 그는 자기 주위를 번개 빛으로 두르시며 바다밑을 가리신다.
  1. "For by these He judges peoples; He gives food in abundance.
  2. "He covers His hands with the lightning, And commands it to strike the mark.
  3. "Its noise declares His presence; The cattle also, concerning what is coming up.
  1. 하나님은 이와 같은 자연의 신비스러운 힘을 통해 사람들을 벌하기도 하시고 풍성한 식물을 공급해 주시기도 하신다.
  2. 그는 번갯불을 손으로 싸서 목표물에 던져 그것을 맞추신다.
  3. 그가 천둥으로 폭풍이 다가옴을 알리시면 짐승까지도 그것이 접근해 오는 것을 알게 된다.
