호세아

  호세아는 아모스 사역 직후 북왕국 이스라엘 왕 여로보암 2세의 통치 말기부터 유다의 히스기야 왕 때까지 약 40년 간 북이스라엘에서 활동한 예언자이다. 그는 자신의 결혼 생활을 통해, 하나님의 품을 떠나 우상을 섬기는 패역한 이스라엘에게 하나님의 끊임없는 사랑을 보여 주고 회개를 촉구하였다.

  본서에서 호세아가 계속 음란죄를 저지르는 아내 고멜을 받아들인 것은 영적으로 간음한 이스라엘을 향한 하나님의 사랑을 보여 주는 것이다. 그러나 이스라엘은 계속 우상을 숭배하고 강퍅히 행함으로 스스로 멸망을 재촉한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 하나님께서는 돌이키는 자들에게 사랑을 쏟으시고 풍성한 복을 더하실 것을 약속하신다.

 

 

호세아 1:1-4:19

 호세아는 음란한 아내를 취해 음란한 자식들을 낳으라는 하나님의 말씀에 따라 고멜을 취해 세 자녀를 낳았다. 하나님께서는 고멜의 부정한 행동에 빗대어 범죄한 이스라엘의 죄악과 심판을 말씀하셨고, 부정한 아내 고멜을 다시 취한 호세아의 행동을 통해 심판 후에 있을 하나님의 회복을 예시하셨다.
  
  호세아의 결혼(1:1-1:11)    
 
  1. The word of the LORD which came to Hosea the son of Beeri, during the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and during the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
  2. When the LORD first spoke through Hosea, the LORD said to Hosea, "Go, take to yourself a wife of harlotry and have children of harlotry; for the land commits flagrant harlotry, forsaking the LORD."
  3. So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.
  4. And the LORD said to him, "Name him Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will punish the house of Jehu for the bloodshed of Jezreel, and I will put an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel.
  5. "On that day I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel."
  1. 주님께서 브에리의 아들 호세아에게 주신 말씀이다. 때는 웃시야와 요담과 아하스와 히스기야 왕이 이어서 유다를 다스리고, 요아스의 아들 여로보암 왕이 이스라엘을 다스리던 때이다.
  2. 주님께서 처음으로 호세아를 시켜 이스라엘 사람들에게 말씀하실 때에, 주님께서는 호세아에게 다음과 같이 말씀하셨다. "너는 가서 음란한 여인과 결혼하여, 음란한 자식들을 낳아라! 이 나라가 주를 버리고 떠나서, 음란하게 살고 있기 때문이다."
  3. 호세아가 가서, 디블라임의 딸 고멜과 결혼하였다. 고멜이 임신하여, 호세아의 아들을 낳았다.
  4. 주님께서 호세아에게 말씀하셨다. "그의 이름을 이스르엘이라고 하여라. 이제 곧 내가 예후의 집을 심판하겠다. 그가 이스르엘에서 살육한 죄를 물어서 이스라엘 왕조를 없애겠다.
  5. 또 그 날에 내가 이스르엘 평원에서 이스라엘의 활을 꺾겠다."
  1. Then she conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. And the LORD said to him, "Name her Lo-ruhamah, for I will no longer have compassion on the house of Israel, that I would ever forgive them.
  2. "But I will have compassion on the house of Judah and deliver them by the LORD their God, and will not deliver them by bow, sword, battle, horses or horsemen."
  3. When she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived and gave birth to a son.
  4. And the LORD said, "Name him Lo-ammi, for you are not My people and I am not your God."
  5. Yet the number of the sons of Israel Will be like the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered; And in the place Where it is said to them, "You are not My people," It will be said to them, "You are the sons of the living God."
  1. 고멜이 다시 임신하여 딸을 낳았다. 이 때에 주님께서 호세아에게 말씀하셨다. "그 딸의 이름은 로루하마라고 하여라. 내가 다시는 이스라엘 족속을 불쌍히 여기지도 않고, 용서하지도 않겠다.
  2. 그러나 유다 족속은 내가 불쌍히 여기겠다. 그들의 주 나 하나님이 직접 나서서 그들을 구출하겠다. 그러나 내가 그들을, 활이나 칼이나 전쟁이나 군마나 기마병으로 구출하는 것이 아니다."
  3. 로루하마가 젖을 뗄 때에, 고멜이 다시 임신하여 아들을 낳았다.
  4. 주님께서 말씀하셨다. "그의 이름을 로암미라고 하여라. 너희가 나의 백성이 아니며, 나도 너희의 하나님이 아니기 때문이다."
  5. "그러나 이스라엘 자손의 수가 바닷가의 모래처럼 많아져서, 얼마나 되는지, 아무도 되어 보거나 세어 볼 수 없을 때가 올 것이다. 그 때가 되면, 사람들이 너희를 로암미라고 부른 땅에서, '살아 계신 하나님의 자녀'라고 부를 것이다.
  1. And the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel will be gathered together, And they will appoint for themselves one leader, And they will go up from the land, For great will be the day of Jezreel.
  1. 그 때가 되면, 유다 자손과 이스라엘 자손이 통일을 이룩하여, 한 통치자를 세우고, 땅에서 번성할 것이다. 그렇다. 이스르엘의 날이 크게 번창할 것이다.
 
  고멜의 부정(2:1-4:19)    
 
  1. Say to your brothers, "Ammi," and to your sisters, "Ruhamah."
  2. "Contend with your mother, contend, For she is not my wife, and I am not her husband; And let her put away her harlotry from her face And her adultery from between her breasts,
  3. Or I will strip her naked And expose her as on the day when she was born I will also make her like a wilderness, Make her like desert land And slay her with thirst.
  4. "Also, I will have no compassion on her children, Because they are children of harlotry.
  5. "For their mother has played the harlot; She who conceived them has acted shamefully For she said, 'I will go after my lovers, Who give me my bread and my water, My wool and my flax, my oil and my drink.'
  1. 이제 너희는 형제를 암미라고 하고, 자매를 루하마라고 하여라."
  2. "고발하여라. 너희 어머니를 고발하여라. 그는 이제 나의 아내가 아니며, 나는 그의 남편이 아니다. 그의 얼굴에서 색욕을 없애고, 그의 젖가슴에서 음행의 자취를 지우라고 하여라!

  1. "Therefore, behold, I will hedge up her way with thorns, And I will build a wall against her so that she cannot find her paths.
  2. "She will pursue her lovers, but she will not overtake them; And she will seek them, but will not find them Then she will say, 'I will go back to my first husband, For it was better for me then than now!'
  3. "For she does not know that it was I who gave her the grain, the new wine and the oil, And lavished on her silver and gold, Which they used for Baal.
  4. "Therefore, I will take back My grain at harvest time And My new wine in its season. I will also take away My wool and My flax Given to cover her nakedness.
  5. "And then I will uncover her lewdness In the sight of her lovers, And no one will rescue her out of My hand.
  1. 그러므로 내가 이제 가시나무로 그의 길을 막고, 담을 둘러쳐서 그 길을 찾지 못하게 하겠다.
  2. 그가 정부들을 쫓아다녀도, 그들을 따라잡지 못할 것이다. 그들을 찾아다녀도, 어디에서도 만나지 못할 것이다. 그제서야 그는 '이제는 발길을 돌려서 나의 남편에게로 돌아가야지. 나의 형편이 지금보다 그 때가 더 좋았다' 할 것이다."
  3. "바로 내가 그에게 곡식과 포도주와 기름을 주었으며, 또 내가 그에게 은과 금을 넉넉하게 주었으나, 그는 그것을 전혀 모르고 그 금과 은으로 바알의 우상들을 만들었다.
  4. 그러므로 곡식이 익을 때에는 내가 준 그 곡식을 빼앗고, 포도주에 맛이 들 무렵에는 그 포도주를 빼앗겠다. 또 벗은 몸을 가리라고 준 양털과 모시도 빼앗겠다.
  5. 이제 내가 그의 정부들이 보는 앞에서 부끄러운 곳이 드러나도록 그를 벗겨도, 내 손에서 그를 빼낼 사내가 하나도 없을 것이다.
  1. "I will also put an end to all her gaiety, Her feasts, her new moons, her sabbaths And all her festal assemblies.
  2. "I will destroy her vines and fig trees, Of which she said, 'These are my wages Which my lovers have given me ' And I will make them a forest, And the beasts of the field will devour them.
  3. "I will punish her for the days of the Baals When she used to offer sacrifices to them And adorn herself with her earrings and jewelry, And follow her lovers, so that she forgot Me," declares the LORD.
  4. "Therefore, behold, I will allure her, Bring her into the wilderness And speak kindly to her.
  5. "Then I will give her her vineyards from there, And the valley of Achor as a door of hope And she will sing there as in the days of her youth, As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.
  1. 또 그가 즐거워하는 모든 것과, 그의 온갖 잔치와, 초하루와 안식일과 모든 절기의 모임들을, 내가 끝장 내겠다.
  2. 정부들이 저에게 준 몸값이라고 자랑하던 포도나무와 무화과나무들을 내가 모조리 망쳐 놓을 것이다. 내가 그것들을 수풀로 만들어서, 들짐승들이 그 열매를 따먹도록 할 것이다.
  3. 또 바알 신들에게 분향하며 귀고리와 목걸이로 몸단장을 하고, 정부들을 쫓아다니면서 나를 잊어버린 그 세월만큼, 내가 이제 그에게 모든 벌을 내릴 것이다. 나 주의 말이다."
  4. "그러므로 이제 내가 그를 꾀어서, 빈 들로 데리고 가겠다. 거기에서 내가 그를 다정한 말로 달래 주겠다.
  5. 그런 다음에, 내가 거기에서 포도원을 그에게 되돌려 주고, 아골 평원이 희망의 문이 되게 하면, 그는 젊을 때처럼, 이집트 땅에서 올라올 때처럼, 거기에서 나를 기쁘게 대할 것이다.
  1. "It will come about in that day," declares the LORD, "That you will call Me Ishi And will no longer call Me Baali.
  2. "For I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth, So that they will be mentioned by their names no more.
  3. "In that day I will also make a covenant for them With the beasts of the field, The birds of the sky And the creeping things of the ground And I will abolish the bow, the sword and war from the land, And will make them lie down in safety.
  4. "I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice, In lovingkindness and in compassion,
  5. And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness. Then you will know the LORD.
  1. 그 날에 너는 나를 '나의 남편'이라고 부르고, 다시는 '나의 주인'이라고 부르지 않을 것이다. 나 주의 말이다.
  2. 그 때에 나는 그의 입에서 바알 신들의 이름을 모두 없애고, 바알 신들의 이름을 부르는 자들이 다시는 없도록 하겠다.
  3. 그 날에는 내가 이스라엘 백성을 생각하고, 들짐승과 공중의 새와 땅의 벌레와 언약을 맺고, 활과 칼을 꺾어버리며 땅에서 전쟁을 없애어, 이스라엘 백성이 마음 놓고 살 수 있게 하겠다.
  4. 그 때에 내가 너를 영원히 아내로 맞아들이고, 너에게 정의와 공평으로 대하고, 너에게 변함없는 사랑과 긍휼을 보여 주고, 너를 아내로 삼겠다.
  5. 내가 너에게 성실한 마음으로 너와 결혼하겠다. 그러면 너는 나 주를 바로 알 것이다.
  1. "It will come about in that day that I will respond," declares the LORD. "I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth,
  2. And the earth will respond to the grain, to the new wine and to the oil, And they will respond to Jezreel.
  3. "I will sow her for Myself in the land I will also have compassion on her who had not obtained compassion, And I will say to those who were not My people, 'You are My people!' And they will say, 'You are my God!'"
  1. 그 날에 내가 응답할 것이다. 나 주의 말이다. 나는 하늘에 응답하고, 하늘은 땅에 응답하고,
  2. 땅은 곡식과 포도주와 올리브 기름에 응답하고, 이 먹거리들은 이스르엘에 응답할 것이다.
  3. 그 때에 내가 이스라엘을 이 땅에 심어서 나의 백성으로 키우고, 로루하마를 사랑하여 루하마가 되게 할 것이다. 로암미에게 '이제 너는 암미다!' 하고 내가 말하면, 그가 나에게 '주님은 나의 하나님이십니다!' 하고 대답할 것이다."
 
 
  1. Then the LORD said to me, "Go again, love a woman who is loved by her husband, yet an adulteress, even as the LORD loves the sons of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes."
  2. So I bought her for myself for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer and a half of barley.
  3. Then I said to her, "You shall stay with me for many days. You shall not play the harlot, nor shall you have a man; so I will also be toward you."
  4. For the sons of Israel will remain for many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar and without ephod or household idols.
  5. Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king; and they will come trembling to the LORD and to His goodness in the last days.
  1. 주님께서 나에게 또 말씀하셨다. "너는 다시 가서, 다른 남자의 사랑을 받고 음녀가 된 그 여인을 사랑하여라. 이스라엘 자손이 다른 신들에게로 돌아가서 건포도를 넣은 빵을 좋아하더라도, 나 주가 그들을 사랑하는 것처럼 너도 그 여인을 사랑하여라!"
  2. 그래서 나는 은 열다섯 세겔과 보리 한 호멜 반을 가지고 가서, 그 여인을 사서 데리고 왔다.
  3. 나는 그 여인에게 말하였다. "당신은 많은 날을 나와 함께 살면서, 창녀가 되지도 말고, 다른 남자와 관계를 맺지도 말고, 나를 기다리시오. 그 동안 나도 당신을 기다리겠소."
  4. 이스라엘 자손도 많은 날을 이렇게 왕도 통치자도 없이, 희생제물도 돌기둥도 없이, 에봇도 드라빔도 없이 살 것이다.
  5. 그런 다음에야 이스라엘 자손이 돌이켜서, 주 그들의 하나님을 찾으며, 그들의 왕 다윗을 찾을 것이다. 마지막 날에는 이스라엘 자손이 떨면서 주님 앞에 나아가, 주님께서 주시는 선물을 받을 것이다.
 
 
  1. Listen to the word of the LORD, O sons of Israel, For the LORD has a case against the inhabitants of the land, Because there is no faithfulness or kindness Or knowledge of God in the land.
  2. There is swearing, deception, murder, stealing and adultery They employ violence, so that bloodshed follows bloodshed.
  3. Therefore the land mourns, And everyone who lives in it languishes Along with the beasts of the field and the birds of the sky, And also the fish of the sea disappear.
  4. Yet let no one find fault, and let none offer reproof; For your people are like those who contend with the priest.
  5. So you will stumble by day, And the prophet also will stumble with you by night; And I will destroy your mother.
  1. 이스라엘 자손아, 주님의 말씀을 들어라. 주님께서 이 땅의 주민들과 변론하신다. "이 땅에는 진실도 없고, 사랑도 없고, 하나님을 아는 지식도 없다.
  2. 있는 것이라고는 저주와 사기와 살인과 도둑질과 간음뿐이다. 살육과 학살이 그칠 사이가 없다.
  3. 그렇기 때문에 땅은 탄식하고, 주민은 쇠약해질 것이다. 들짐승과 하늘을 나는 새들도 다 야위고, 바다 속의 물고기들도 씨가 마를 것이다."
  4. "그러나 서로 다투지 말고, 서로 비난하지도 말아라. 제사장아, 이 일로 네 백성은 너에게 불만이 크다.
  5. 그래서 낮에는 네가 넘어지고, 밤에는 예언자가 너와 함께 넘어질 것이다. 내가 너의 어머니 이스라엘을 멸하겠다.
  1. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
  2. The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.
  3. They feed on the sin of My people And direct their desire toward their iniquity.
  4. And it will be, like people, like priest; So I will punish them for their ways And repay them for their deeds.
  5. They will eat, but not have enough; They will play the harlot, but not increase, Because they have stopped giving heed to the LORD.
  1. 내 백성이 나를 알지 못하여 망한다. 네가 제사장이라고 하면서 내가 가르쳐 준 것을 버리니, 나도 너를 버려서 네가 다시는 나의 성직을 맡지 못하도록 하겠다. 네 하나님의 율법을 네가 마음에 두지 않으니, 나도 네 아들딸들을 마음에 두지 않겠다.
  2. 제사장이 많아지면 많아질수록, 나에게 짓는 죄도 더 많아지니, 내가 그들의 영광을 수치로 바꾸겠다.
  3. 그들은 내 백성이 바치는 속죄제물을 먹으면서 살고, 내 백성이 죄를 더 짓기를 바라고 있다.
  4. 그러므로 백성이나 제사장이 똑같이 심판을 받을 것이다. 내가 그 행실대로 벌하고, 한 일을 따라서 갚을 것이니,
  5. 아무리 먹어도 배부르지 않고, 아무리 음행을 하여도 자손이 불어나지 않을 것이다. 이 백성이 다른 신들을 섬기려고 나 주를 버렸기 때문이다."
  1. Harlotry, wine and new wine take away the understanding.
  2. My people consult their wooden idol, and their diviner's wand informs them; For a spirit of harlotry has led them astray, And they have played the harlot, departing from their God.
  3. They offer sacrifices on the tops of the mountains And burn incense on the hills, Under oak, poplar and terebinth, Because their shade is pleasant. Therefore your daughters play the harlot And your brides commit adultery.
  4. I will not punish your daughters when they play the harlot Or your brides when they commit adultery, For the men themselves go apart with harlots And offer sacrifices with temple prostitutes; So the people without understanding are ruined.
  5. Though you, Israel, play the harlot, Do not let Judah become guilty; Also do not go to Gilgal, Or go up to Beth-aven And take the oath: "As the LORD lives!"
  1. "나의 백성은 음행하는 일에 정신을 빼앗기고, 묵은 포도주와 새 포도주에 마음을 빼앗겼다.
  2. 나무에게 묻고, 그 요술 막대기가 그들을 가르치니, 그들의 마음이 음심에 홀려서 곁길로 가고, 하나님의 품을 떠나서 빗나간다.
  3. 산꼭대기에서 희생제물을 잡아서 바친다. 언덕 위에서 분향한다. 참나무와 버드나무와 상수리나무의 그늘이 좋다고, 거기에서도 제물을 잡아서 불살라 바친다. 너희의 딸들이 음행을 하고, 너희의 며느리들이 간음을 한다.
  4. 너희 남자들도 창녀들과 함께 음행을 하고, 창녀들과 함께 희생제사를 드리는데, 너희 딸들이 음행을 한다고 벌하겠느냐? 너희 며느리들이 간음을 한다고 벌하겠느냐? 깨닫지 못하는 백성은 망한다.
  5. 이스라엘아, 너는 비록 이방 신을 섬겨 음행을 하여도, 유다는 죄를 짓지 못하게 하여라. 너희는 길갈로 가지 말아라. 벳아웬으로 올라가지 말아라. 주의 살아 계심을 걸고 맹세하지 말아라."
  1. Since Israel is stubborn Like a stubborn heifer, Can the LORD now pasture them Like a lamb in a large field?
  2. Ephraim is joined to idols; Let him alone.
  3. Their liquor gone, They play the harlot continually; Their rulers dearly love shame.
  4. The wind wraps them in its wings, And they will be ashamed because of their sacrifices.
  1. 그렇다. 이스라엘이, 고집 센 암송아지처럼 말을 듣지 않으니, 어찌 주님께서 그들을 어린 양을 치듯 넓은 초장에서 먹이시겠느냐?
  2. 에브라임은 우상들과 한 패가 되었으니, 그대로 버려 두어라.
  3. 그들은 술잔치를 한바탕 벌인 다음에, 언제나 음행을 한다. 대신들은 수치스러운 일 하기를 즐긴다.
  4. 그러므로 거센 바람이 그 날개로 그들을 에워싸고 휩쓸어 갈 것이다. 그들이 바친 희생제물이 그들을 수치스럽게 할 것이다.
