나훔

  본서는 앗수르가 멸망한 직후인 주전 612년경에 기록된 것으로, 앗수르의 앗술바니팔 시대부터 니느웨가 함락될 때까지의 일들을 기록하고 있다. 역사적으로 이 때는 북이스라엘이 멸망한 지 약 100년이 되었을 때였으며, 강대국 앗수르가 쇠퇴하고 신흥 바벨론이 새로운 강대국으로 부상하고 있었다. 당시 앗수르의 수도 니느웨는 70여 년 전 요나의 메시지를 통해 회개하고 구원받았던 하나님의 은혜를 망각하고 불의와 악을 행하였다. 이러한 때에 선지자로 부름받은 나훔은 앗수르의 수도 니느웨의 멸망을 예언하면서 하나님의 백성에게 위로의 메시지를 전하였다.

  본서는 불의한 니느웨 성의 멸망을 예언함으로써 불의와 죄악을 결코 간과하시지 않으시는 하나님의 공의를 부각시키고 있다. 반면에 유다의 회복에 대한 예언을 통해 당신의 백성을 끝까지 버리지 않으시는 하나님의 사랑과 신실하심도 보여 주고 있다

 

 

나훔 1:1-3:19

 나훔은 죄악이 가득한 니느웨가 하나님의 심판을 받아 멸망할 것이라고 선포하였다. 그는 니느웨가 적의 침략을 받아 멸망할 것이라고 예언하면서, 멸망 이후 황폐된 니느웨의 모습을 상세히 묘사하였다. 나훔은 니느웨의 여러 죄악을 지적하고 니느웨에 대한 하나님의 심판은 피할 수 없는 것임을 말하였다.
  
  니느웨 멸망(1:1-3:19)    
 
  1. The oracle of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.
  2. A jealous and avenging God is the LORD; The LORD is avenging and wrathful The LORD takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies.
  3. The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, And the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished In whirlwind and storm is His way, And clouds are the dust beneath His feet.
  4. He rebukes the sea and makes it dry; He dries up all the rivers Bashan and Carmel wither; The blossoms of Lebanon wither.
  5. Mountains quake because of Him And the hills dissolve; Indeed the earth is upheaved by His presence, The world and all the inhabitants in it.
  1. ニネベ に 對する 宣告． エルコシュ 人 ナホム の 幻の 書．
  2. 主はねたみ， 復讐する 神． 主は 復讐し， 憤る 方． 主はその 仇に 復讐する 方． 敵に 怒りを 保つ 方．
  3. 主は 怒るのにおそく， 力强い． 主は 決して 罰せずにおくことはしない 方． 主の 道はつむじ 風とあらしの 中にある． 雲はその 足でかき 立てられる 砂ほこり．
  4. 主は 海をしかって， これをからし， すべての 川を 干上がらせる． バシャン と カルメル はしおれ， レバノン の 花はしおれる．
  5. 山¿は 主の 前に ¿れ 動き， 丘¿は 溶け 去る． 大地は 御前でくつがえり， 世界とこれに 住むすべての 者もくつがえる．
  1. Who can stand before His indignation? Who can endure the burning of His anger? His wrath is poured out like fire And the rocks are broken up by Him.
  2. The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him.
  3. But with an overflowing flood He will make a complete end of its site, And will pursue His enemies into darkness.
  4. Whatever you devise against the LORD, He will make a complete end of it. Distress will not rise up twice.
  5. Like tangled thorns, And like those who are drunken with their drink, They are consumed As stubble completely withered.
  1. だれがその 憤りの 前に 立ちえよう． だれがその 燃える 怒りに 耐えられよう． その 憤りは 火のように 注がれ， 岩も 主によって 打ち ¿かれる．
  2. 主はいつくしみ 深く， 苦難の 日のとりでである． 主に 身を 避ける 者たちを 主は 知っておられる．
  3. しかし， 主は， あふれみなぎる 洪水で， 主に 逆らう 者を 滅ぼし 盡くし， その 敵をやみに 追いやられる．
  4. あなたがたは 主に 對して 何をたくらむのか． 主はすべてを 滅ぼし 盡くす． 仇は 二度と 立ち 上がれない．

  4. The LORD has issued a command concerning you: "Your name will no longer be perpetuated I will cut off idol and image From the house of your gods I will prepare your grave, For you are contemptible."
  5. Behold, on the mountains the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace! Celebrate your feasts, O Judah; Pay your vows For never again will the wicked one pass through you; He is cut off completely.
  1. あなたのうちから， 主に 對して 惡巧みをし， よこしまなことを 計る 者が 出たからだ．
  2. 主はこう 仰せられる． 「彼らは 安らかで， 數が 多くても， 刈り 取られて 消えうせる． わたしはあなたを 苦しめたが， 再び， あなたを 苦しめない．

  5. He remembers his nobles; They stumble in their march, They hurry to her wall, And the mantelet is set up.
  1. 散らす 者が， あなたを 攻めに 上って 來る． 壘を 守り， 道を 見張り， 腰をからげ， 大いに 力を 奮い 立たせよ．

  4. All because of the many harlotries of the harlot, The charming one, the mistress of sorceries, Who sells nations by her harlotries And families by her sorceries.
  5. "Behold, I am against you," declares the LORD of hosts; "And I will lift up your skirts over your face, And show to the nations your nakedness And to the kingdoms your disgrace.
