창세기 20:1-21:34

 아브라함이 그랄에 거주할 때 아비멜렉이 사라를 취하자 하나님께서 그에게 현몽하셔서 사라를 보낼 것을 명령하셨다. 이에 아비멜렉은 많은 재물과 함께 사라를 돌려보냈다. 하나님께서 약속하신 기한이 이르러 사라가 이삭을 낳았다. 이스마엘이 이삭을 희롱하는 사건이 벌어지자 하나님께서는 아브라함으로 하여금 하갈과 이스마엘을 내쫓게 하셨다.
  
  아브라함과 아비멜렉(20:1-20:18)    
 
  1. Now Abraham journeyed from there toward the land of the Negev, and settled between Kadesh and Shur; then he sojourned in Gerar.
  2. Abraham said of Sarah his wife, "She is my sister " So Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah.
  3. But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, "Behold, you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is married."
  4. Now Abimelech had not come near her; and he said, "Lord, will You slay a nation, even though blameless?
  5. "Did he not himself say to me, 'She is my sister'? And she herself said, 'He is my brother ' In the integrity of my heart and the innocence of my hands I have done this."
  1. アブラハム はそこから ネゲブ の 地に 移って， カデシ と シュル の 間に 住んだ． 彼が ゲラル にとどまっていた 時，
  2. アブラハム は 妻 サラ のことを， 「これはわたしの 妹です 」と 言ったので， ゲラル の 王 アビメレク は， 人をつかわして サラ を 召し 入れた．
  3. ところが 神は 夜の 夢に アビメレク に 臨んで 言われた， 「あなたは 召し 入れたあの 女のゆえに 死なねばならない． 彼女は 夫のある 身である 」．
  4. アビメレク はまだ 彼女に 近づいていなかったので 言った， 「主よ， あなたは 正しい 民でも 殺されるのですか．
  5. 彼はわたしに， これはわたしの 妹ですと 言ったではありませんか． また 彼女も 自分で， 彼はわたしの 兄ですと 言いました． わたしは 心も 淸く， 手もいさぎよく， このことをしました 」．
  1. Then God said to him in the dream, "Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this, and I also kept you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her.
  2. "Now therefore, restore the man's wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours."
  3. So Abimelech arose early in the morning and called all his servants and told all these things in their hearing; and the men were greatly frightened.
  4. Then Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, "What have you done to us? And how have I sinned against you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done to me things that ought not to be done."
  5. And Abimelech said to Abraham, "What have you encountered, that you have done this thing?"
  1. 神はまた 夢で 彼に 言われた， 「そうです， あなたが 淸い 心をもってこのことをしたのを 知っていたから， わたしもあなたを 守って， わたしに 對して 罪を 犯させず， 彼女にふれることを 許さなかったのです．
  2. いま 彼の 妻を 返しなさい． 彼は 預言者ですから， あなたのために 祈って， 命を 保たせるでしょう． もし 返さないなら， あなたも 身內の 者もみな 必ず 死ぬと 知らなければなりません 」．
  3. そこで アビメレク は 朝早く 起き， しもべたちをことごとく 召し 集めて， これらの 事をみな 語り 聞かせたので， 人¿は 非常に 恐れた．
  4. そして アビメレク は アブラハム を 召して 言った， 「あなたはわれわれに 何をするのですか． あなたに 對してわたしがどんな 罪を 犯したために， あなたはわたしとわたしの 國とに， 大きな 罪を 負わせるのですか． あなたはしてはならぬことをわたしにしたのです 」．
  5. アビメレク はまた アブラハム に 言った， 「あなたはなんと 思って， この 事をしたのですか 」．
  1. Abraham said, "Because I thought, surely there is no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.
  2. "Besides, she actually is my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother, and she became my wife;
  3. and it came about, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said to her, 'This is the kindness which you will show to me: everywhere we go, say of me, "He is my brother."'"
  4. Abimelech then took sheep and oxen and male and female servants, and gave them to Abraham, and restored his wife Sarah to him.
  5. Abimelech said, "Behold, my land is before you; settle wherever you please."
  1. アブラハム は 言った， 「この 所には 神を 恐れるということが， まったくないので， わたしの 妻のゆえに 人¿がわたしを 殺すと 思ったからです．
  2. また 彼女はほんとうにわたしの 妹なのです． わたしの 父の 娘ですが， 母の 娘ではありません． そして， わたしの 妻になったのです．
  3. 神がわたしに 父の 家を 離れて， 行き 巡らせた 時， わたしは 彼女に， あなたはわたしたちの 行くさきざきでわたしを 兄であると 言ってください． これはあなたがわたしに 施す 惠みであると 言いました 」．
  4. そこで アビメレク は 羊， 牛および 男女の 奴隷を 取って アブラハム に 與え， その 妻 サラ を 彼に 返した．
  5. そして アビメレク は 言った， 「わたしの 地はあなたの 前にあります． あなたの 好きな 所に 住みなさい 」．
  1. To Sarah he said, "Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver; behold, it is your vindication before all who are with you, and before all men you are cleared."
  2. Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech and his wife and his maids, so that they bore children.
  3. For the LORD had closed fast all the wombs of the household of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham's wife.
  1. また サラ に 言った， 「わたしはあなたの 兄に 銀千 シケル を 與えました． これはあなたの 身に 起ったすべての 事について， あなたに 償いをするものです． こうしてすべての 人にあなたは 正しいと 認められます 」．
  2. そこで アブラハム は 神に 祈った． 神は アビメレク とその 妻および， はしためたちをいやされたので， 彼らは 子を 産むようになった．
  3. これは 主がさきに アブラハム の 妻 サラ のゆえに， アビメレク の 家のすべての 者の 胎を， かたく 閉ざされたからである．
 
  이삭의 출생(21:1-21:34)    
 
  1. Then the LORD took note of Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had promised.
  2. So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him.
  3. Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.
  4. Then Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.
  5. Now Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.
  1. 主は， さきに 言われたように サラ を 顧み， 告げられたように サラ に 行われた．
  2. サラ はみごもり， 神が アブラハム に 告げられた 時になって， 年老いた アブラハム に 男の 子を 産んだ．
  3. アブラハム は 生れた 子， サラ が 産んだ 男の 子の 名を イサク と 名づけた．
  4. アブラハム は 神が 命じられたように 八日目にその 子 イサク に 割禮を 施した．
  5. アブラハム はその 子 イサク が 生れた 時百歲であった．
  1. Sarah said, "God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh with me."
  2. And she said, "Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age."
  3. The child grew and was weaned, and Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.
  4. Now Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking.
  5. Therefore she said to Abraham, "Drive out this maid and her son, for the son of this maid shall not be an heir with my son Isaac."
  1. そして サラ は 言った， 「神はわたしを 笑わせてくださった． 聞く 者は 皆わたしのことで 笑うでしょう 」．
  2. また 言った， 「サラ が 子に 乳を 飮ませるだろうと， だれが アブラハム に 言い 得たであろう． それなのに， わたしは 彼が 年とってから， 子を 産んだ 」．
  3. さて， おさなごは 育って 乳離れした． イサク が 乳離れした 日に アブラハム は 盛んなふるまいを 設けた．
  4. サラ は エジプト の 女 ハガル の アブラハム に 産んだ 子が， 自分の 子 イサク と 遊ぶのを 見て，
  5. アブラハム に 言った， 「このはしためとその 子を 追い 出してください． このはしための 子はわたしの 子 イサク と 共に， 世繼となるべき 者ではありません 」．
  1. The matter distressed Abraham greatly because of his son.
  2. But God said to Abraham, "Do not be distressed because of the lad and your maid; whatever Sarah tells you, listen to her, for through Isaac your descendants shall be named.
  3. "And of the son of the maid I will make a nation also, because he is your descendant."
  4. So Abraham rose early in the morning and took bread and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar, putting them on her shoulder, and gave her the boy, and sent her away. And she departed and wandered about in the wilderness of Beersheba.
  5. When the water in the skin was used up, she left the boy under one of the bushes.
  1. この 事で， アブラハム はその 子のために 非常に 心配した．
  2. 神は アブラハム に 言われた， 「あのわらべのため， またあなたのはしためのために 心配することはない． サラ があなたに 言うことはすべて 聞きいれなさい． イサク に 生れる 者が， あなたの 子孫と 唱えられるからです．
  3. しかし， はしための 子もあなたの 子ですから， これをも， 一つの 國民とします 」．
  4. そこで アブラハム は 明くる 朝はやく 起きて， パン と 水の 皮袋とを 取り， ハガル に 與えて， 肩に 負わせ， その 子を 連れて 去らせた． ハガル は 去って ベエルシバ の 荒野にさまよった．
  5. やがて 皮袋の 水が 盡きたので， 彼女はその 子を 木の 下におき，
  1. Then she went and sat down opposite him, about a bowshot away, for she said, "Do not let me see the boy die." And she sat opposite him, and lifted up her voice and wept.
  2. God heard the lad crying; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, "What is the matter with you, Hagar? Do not fear, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.
  3. "Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him by the hand, for I will make a great nation of him."
  4. Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water; and she went and filled the skin with water and gave the lad a drink.
  5. God was with the lad, and he grew; and he lived in the wilderness and became an archer.
  1. 「わたしはこの 子の 死ぬのを 見るに 忍びない 」と 言って， 矢の 屆くほど 離れて 行き， 子供の 方に 向いてすわった． 彼女が 子供の 方に 向いてすわったとき， 子供は 聲をあげて 泣いた．
  2. 神はわらべの 聲を 聞かれ， 神の 使は 天から ハガル を 呼んで 言った， 「ハガル よ， どうしたのか． 恐れてはいけない． 神はあそこにいるわらべの 聲を 聞かれた．
  3. 立って 行き， わらべを 取り 上げてあなたの 手に 抱きなさい． わたしは 彼を 大いなる 國民とするであろう 」．
  4. 神が ハガル の 目を 開かれたので， 彼女は 水の 井戶のあるのを 見た． 彼女は 行って 皮袋に 水を 滿たし， わらべに 飮ませた．
  5. 神はわらべと 共にいまし， わらべは 成長した． 彼は 荒野に 住んで 弓を 射る 者となった．
  1. He lived in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt.
  2. Now it came about at that time that Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, spoke to Abraham, saying, "God is with you in all that you do;
  3. now therefore, swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me or with my offspring or with my posterity, but according to the kindness that I have shown to you, you shall show to me and to the land in which you have sojourned."
  4. Abraham said, "I swear it."
  5. But Abraham complained to Abimelech because of the well of water which the servants of Abimelech had seized.
  1. 彼は パラン の 荒野に 住んだ． 母は 彼のために エジプト の 國から 妻を 迎えた．
  2. そのころ アビメレク とその 軍勢の 長 ピコル は アブラハム に 言った， 「あなたが 何事をなさっても， 神はあなたと 共におられる．
  3. それゆえ， 今ここでわたしをも， わたしの 子をも， 孫をも 欺かないと， 神をさしてわたしに 誓ってください． わたしがあなたに 親切にしたように， あなたもわたしと， このあなたの 寄留の 地とに， しなければなりません 」．
  4. アブラハム は 言った， 「わたしは 誓います 」．
  5. アブラハム は アビメレク の 家來たちが， 水の 井戶を 奪い 取ったことについて アビメルク を 責めた．
  1. And Abimelech said, "I do not know who has done this thing; you did not tell me, nor did I hear of it until today."
  2. Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech, and the two of them made a covenant.
  3. Then Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.
  4. Abimelech said to Abraham, "What do these seven ewe lambs mean, which you have set by themselves?"
  5. He said, "You shall take these seven ewe lambs from my hand so that it may be a witness to me, that I dug this well."
  1. しかし アビメレク は 言った， 「だれがこの 事をしたかわたしは 知りません． あなたもわたしに 告げたことはなく， わたしもきょうまで 聞きませんでした 」．
  2. そこで アブラハム は 羊と 牛とを 取って アビメレク に 與え， ふたりは 契約を 結んだ．
  3. アブラハム が 雌の 小羊七頭を 分けて 置いたところ，
  4. アビメレク は アブラハム に 言った， 「あなたがこれらの 雌の 小羊七頭を 分けて 置いたのは， なんのためですか 」．
  5. アブラハム は 言った， 「あなたはわたしの 手からこれらの 雌の 小羊七頭を 受け 取って， わたしがこの 井戶を 掘ったことの 證據としてください 」．
  1. Therefore he called that place Beersheba, because there the two of them took an oath.
  2. So they made a covenant at Beersheba; and Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, arose and returned to the land of the Philistines.
  3. Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God.
  4. And Abraham sojourned in the land of the Philistines for many days.
  1. これによってその 所を ベエルシバ と 名づけた． 彼らがふたりそこで 誓いをしたからである．
  2. このように 彼らは ベエルシバ で 契約を 結び， アビメレク とその 軍勢の 長 ピコル は 立って ペリシテ の 地に 歸った．
  3. アブラハム は ベエルシバ に 一本のぎょりゅうの 木を 植え， その 所で 永遠の 神， 主の 名を 呼んだ．
  4. こうして アブラハム は 長い 間 ペリシテ びとの 地にとどまった．
 
  권고(眷顧, 21:1)  ‘방문하다’라는 뜻으로, 하나님께서 약속을 이루기 위해 사라를 방문하신 것을 의미한다
