창세기 41:1-41:57

바로는 파리한 일곱 암소가 살진 일곱 암소를 잡아 먹고, 세약하고 마른 일곱 이삭이 무성하고 충실한 일곱 이삭을 삼킨 꿈을 꾸었다. 그 꿈을 해석하지 못하고 있는 바로에게 술 관원장은 요셉을 추천하였다. 요셉은 그 꿈을 해석하였고, 그 결과 애굽의 국무총리가 되어 7년 풍년과 7년 흉년을 지혜롭게 대처하였다.
 
  바로의 꿈과 요셉의 해석(41:1-41:36)    
 
  1. Now it happened at the end of two full years that Pharaoh had a dream, and behold, he was standing by the Nile.
  2. And lo, from the Nile there came up seven cows, sleek and fat; and they grazed in the marsh grass.
  3. Then behold, seven other cows came up after them from the Nile, ugly and gaunt, and they stood by the other cows on the bank of the Nile.
  4. The ugly and gaunt cows ate up the seven sleek and fat cows. Then Pharaoh awoke.
  5. He fell asleep and dreamed a second time; and behold, seven ears of grain came up on a single stalk, plump and good.
  1. 二年の 後 パロ は 夢を 見た. 夢に, 彼は ナイル 川のほとりに 立っていた.
  2. すると, その 川から 美しい, 肥え 太った 七頭の 雌牛が 上がってきて 葦を 食っていた.

  1. Then behold, seven ears, thin and scorched by the east wind, sprouted up after them.
  2. The thin ears swallowed up the seven plump and full ears. Then Pharaoh awoke, and behold, it was a dream.
  3. Now in the morning his spirit was troubled, so he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all its wise men And Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Pharaoh.
  4. Then the chief cupbearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, "I would make mention today of my own offenses.
  5. "Pharaoh was furious with his servants, and he put me in confinement in the house of the captain of the bodyguard, both me and the chief baker.
  1. その 後また, やせて, 東風に 燒けた 七つの 穗が 出てきて,
  2. そのやせた 穗が, あの 太って 實った 七つの 穗をのみつくした. ここで パロ は 目が 覺めたが, それは 夢であった.
  3. 朝になって, パロ は 心が ¿ぎ, 人をつかわして, エジプト のすべての 魔術師とすべての 知者とを 呼び 寄せ, 彼らに 夢を 告げたが, これを パロ に 解き 明かしうる 者がなかった.

  1. "We had a dream on the same night, he and I; each of us dreamed according to the interpretation of his own dream.
  2. "Now a Hebrew youth was with us there, a servant of the captain of the bodyguard, and we related them to him, and he interpreted our dreams for us. To each one he interpreted according to his own dream.
  3. "And just as he interpreted for us, so it happened; he restored me in my office, but he hanged him."
  4. Then Pharaoh sent and called for Joseph, and they hurriedly brought him out of the dungeon; and when he had shaved himself and changed his clothes, he came to Pharaoh.
  5. Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I have had a dream, but no one can interpret it; and I have heard it said about you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it."
  1. わたしも 彼も 一夜のうちに 夢を 見, それぞれ 意味のある 夢を 見ましたが,
  2. そこに 侍衛長のしもべで, ひとりの 若い ヘブル びとがわれわれと 共にいたので, 彼に 話したところ, 彼はわれわれの 夢を 解き 明かし, その 夢によって, それぞれ 解き 明かしをしました.
  3. そして 彼が 解き 明かしたとおりになって, パロ はわたしを 職に 返し, 彼を 木に 掛けられました 」.
  4. そこで パロ は 人をつかわして ヨセフ を 呼んだ. 人¿は 急いで 彼を 地下の 獄屋から 出した. ヨセフ は, ひげをそり, 着物を 着替えて パロ のもとに 行った.
  5. パロ は ヨセフ に 言った, 「わたしは 夢を 見たが, これを 解き 明かす 者がない. 聞くところによると, あなたは 夢を 聞いて, 解き 明かしができるそうだ 」.
  1. Joseph then answered Pharaoh, saying, "It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer."
  2. So Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, "In my dream, behold, I was standing on the bank of the Nile;
  3. and behold, seven cows, fat and sleek came up out of the Nile, and they grazed in the marsh grass.
  4. "Lo, seven other cows came up after them, poor and very ugly and gaunt, such as I had never seen for ugliness in all the land of Egypt;
  5. and the lean and ugly cows ate up the first seven fat cows.
  1. ヨセフ は パロ に 答えて 言った, 「いいえ, わたしではありません. 神が パロ に 平安をお 告げになりましょう 」.
  2. パロ は ヨセフ に 言った, 「夢にわたしは 川の 岸に 立っていた.
  3. その 川から 肥え 太った, 美しい 七頭の 雌牛が 上がってきて 葦を 食っていた.
  4. その 後, 弱く, 非常に 醜い, やせ 細った 他の 七頭の 雌牛がまた 上がってきた. わたしは エジプト 全國で, このような 醜いものをまだ 見たことがない.
  5. ところがそのやせた 醜い 雌牛が, 初めの 七頭の 肥えた 雌牛を 食いつくしたが,
  1. "Yet when they had devoured them, it could not be detected that they had devoured them, for they were just as ugly as before. Then I awoke.
  2. "I saw also in my dream, and behold, seven ears, full and good, came up on a single stalk;
  3. and lo, seven ears, withered, thin, and scorched by the east wind, sprouted up after them;
  4. and the thin ears swallowed the seven good ears. Then I told it to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me."
  5. Now Joseph said to Pharaoh, "Pharaoh's dreams are one and the same; God has told to Pharaoh what He is about to do.
  1. 腹にはいっても, 腹にはいった 事が 知れず, やはり 初めのように 醜かった. ここでわたしは 目が 覺めた.
  2. わたしはまた 夢をみた. 一本の 莖に 七つの 實った 良い 穗が 出てきた.
  3. その 後, やせ 衰えて, 東風に 燒けた 七つの 穗が 出てきたが,
  4. そのやせた 穗が, あの 七つの 良い 穗をのみつくした. わたしは 魔術師に 話したが, わたしにそのわけを 示しうる 者はなかった 」.
  5. ヨセフ は パロ に 言った, 「パロ の 夢は 一つです. 神がこれからしようとすることを パロ に 示されたのです.
  1. "The seven good cows are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years; the dreams are one and the same.
  2. "The seven lean and ugly cows that came up after them are seven years, and the seven thin ears scorched by the east wind will be seven years of famine.
  3. "It is as I have spoken to Pharaoh: God has shown to Pharaoh what He is about to do.
  4. "Behold, seven years of great abundance are coming in all the land of Egypt;
  5. and after them seven years of famine will come, and all the abundance will be forgotten in the land of Egypt, and the famine will ravage the land.
  1. 七頭の 良い 雌牛は 七年です. 七つの 良い 穗も 七年で, 夢は 一つです.
  2. あとに 續いて, 上がってきた 七頭のやせた 醜い 雌牛は 七年で, 東風に 燒けた 實の 入らない 七つの 穗は 七年のききんです.
  3. わたしが パロ に 申し 上げたように, 神がこれからしようとすることを パロ に 示されたのです.
  4. エジプト 全國に 七年の 大豊作があり,
  5. その 後七年のききんが 起り, その 豊作はみな エジプト の 國で 忘れられて, そのききんは 國を 滅ぼすでしょう.
  1. "So the abundance will be unknown in the land because of that subsequent famine; for it will be very severe.
  2. "Now as for the repeating of the dream to Pharaoh twice, it means that the matter is determined by God, and God will quickly bring it about.
  3. "Now let Pharaoh look for a man discerning and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
  4. "Let Pharaoh take action to appoint overseers in charge of the land, and let him exact a fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven years of abundance.
  5. "Then let them gather all the food of these good years that are coming, and store up the grain for food in the cities under Pharaoh's authority, and let them guard it.
  1. 後に 來るそのききんが, 非常に 激しいから, その 豊作は 國のうちで 記憶されなくなるでしょう.
  2. パロ が 二度重ねて 夢を 見られたのは, この 事が 神によって 定められ, 神がすみやかにこれをされるからです.
  3. それゆえ パロ は 今, さとく, かつ 賢い 人を 尋ね 出して エジプト の 國を 治めさせなさい.
  4. パロ はこうして 國中に 監督を 置き, その 七年の 豊作のうちに, エジプト の 國の 産物の 五分の 一を 取り,
  5. 續いて 來る 良い 年¿のすべての 食糧を 彼らに 集めさせ, 穀物を 食糧として, パロ の 手で 町¿にたくわえ 守らせなさい.
  1. "Let the food become as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which will occur in the land of Egypt, so that the land will not perish during the famine."
  1. こうすれば 食糧は, エジプト の 國に 臨む 七年のききんに 備えて, この 國のためにたくわえとなり, この 國はききんによって 滅びることがないでしょう 」.
 
  요셉의 지혜로운 정치(41:37-41:57)    
 
  1. Now the proposal seemed good to Pharaoh and to all his servants.
  2. Then Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find a man like this, in whom is a divine spirit?"
  3. So Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one so discerning and wise as you are.
  4. "You shall be over my house, and according to your command all my people shall do homage; only in the throne I will be greater than you."
  5. Pharaoh said to Joseph, "See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt."
  1. この 事は パロ とそのすべての 家來たちの 目にかなった.
  2. そこで パロ は 家來たちに 言った, 「われわれは 神の 靈をもつこのような 人を, ほかに 見いだし 得ようか 」.
  3. また パロ は ヨセフ に 言った, 「神がこれを 皆あなたに 示された. あなたのようにさとく 賢い 者はない.
  4. あなたはわたしの 家を 治めてください. わたしの 民はみなあなたの 言葉に 從うでしょう. わたしはただ 王の 位でだけあなたにまさる 」.
  5. パロ は 更に ヨセフ に 言った, 「わたしはあなたを エジプト 全國のつかさとする 」.
  1. Then Pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand and put it on Joseph's hand, and clothed him in garments of fine linen and put the gold necklace around his neck.
  2. He had him ride in his second chariot; and they proclaimed before him, "Bow the knee!" And he set him over all the land of Egypt.
  3. Moreover, Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Though I am Pharaoh, yet without your permission no one shall raise his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt."
  4. Then Pharaoh named Joseph Zaphenath-paneah; and he gave him Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, as his wife. And Joseph went forth over the land of Egypt.
  5. Now Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh and went through all the land of Egypt.
  1. そして パロ は 指輪を 手からはずして, ヨセフ の 手にはめ, 亞麻布の 衣服を 着せ, 金の 鎖をくびにかけ,
  2. 自分の 第二の 車に 彼を 乘せ, 「ひざまずけ 」とその 前に 呼ばわらせ, こうして 彼を エジプト 全國のつかさとした.
  3. ついで パロ は ヨセフ に 言った, 「わたしは パロ である. あなたの 許しがなければ エジプト 全國で, だれも 手足を 上げることはできない 」.
  4. パロ は ヨセフ の 名を ザフナテ · パネア と 呼び, オン の 祭司 ポテペラ の 娘 アセナテ を 妻として 彼に 與えた. ヨセフ は エジプト の 國を 巡った.
  5. ヨセフ が エジプト の 王 パロ の 前に 立った 時は 三十歲であった. ヨセフ は パロ の 前を 出て, エジプト 全國をあまねく 巡った.
  1. During the seven years of plenty the land brought forth abundantly.
  2. So he gathered all the food of these seven years which occurred in the land of Egypt and placed the food in the cities; he placed in every city the food from its own surrounding fields.
  3. Thus Joseph stored up grain in great abundance like the sand of the sea, until he stopped measuring it, for it was beyond measure.
  4. Now before the year of famine came, two sons were born to Joseph, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, bore to him.
  5. Joseph named the firstborn Manasseh, "For," he said, "God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father's household."
  1. さて 七年の 豊作のうちに 地は 豊かに 物を 産した.
  2. そこで ヨセフ は エジプト の 國にできたその 七年間の 食糧をことごとく 集め, その 食糧を 町¿に 納めさせた. すなわち 町の 周圍にある 畑の 食糧をその 町の 中に 納めさせた.
  3. ヨセフ は 穀物を 海の 砂のように, 非常に 多くたくわえ, 量りきれなくなったので, ついに 量ることをやめた.
  4. ききんの 年の 來る 前に ヨセフ にふたりの 子が 生れた. これらは オン の 祭司 ポテペラ の 娘 アセナテ が 産んだのである.
  5. ヨセフ は 長子の 名を マナセ と 名づけて 言った, 「神がわたしにすべての 苦難と 父の 家のすべての 事を 忘れさせられた 」.
  1. He named the second Ephraim, "For," he said, "God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction."
  2. When the seven years of plenty which had been in the land of Egypt came to an end,
  3. and the seven years of famine began to come, just as Joseph had said, then there was famine in all the lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.
  4. So when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried out to Pharaoh for bread; and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, "Go to Joseph; whatever he says to you, you shall do."
  5. When the famine was spread over all the face of the earth, then Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold to the Egyptians; and the famine was severe in the land of Egypt.
  1. また 次の 子の 名を エフライム と 名づけて 言った, 「神がわたしを 惱みの 地で 豊かにせられた 」.
  2. エジプト の 國にあった 七年の 豊作が 終り,
  3. ヨセフ の 言ったように 七年のききんが 始まった. そのききんはすべての 國にあったが, エジプト 全國には 食物があった.
  4. やがて エジプト 全國が 飢えた 時, 民は パロ に 食物を 叫び 求めた. そこで パロ はすべての エジプト びとに 言った, 「ヨセフ のもとに 行き, 彼の 言うようにせよ 」.
  5. ききんが 地の 全面にあったので, ヨセフ はすべての 穀倉を 開いて, エジプト びとに 賣った. ききんはますます エジプト の 國に 激しくなった.
  1. The people of all the earth came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph, because the famine was severe in all the earth.
  1. ききんが 全地に 激しくなったので, 諸國の 人¿が エジプト の ヨセフ のもとに 穀物を 買うためにきた.
