열왕기하 5:1-6:23

 엘리사는 하나님의 능력으로 여러 가지 기적들을 행했다. 아람의 군대 장관 나아만은 엘리사의 이적적인 방법에 순종함으로써 고침을 받았다. 사환 게하시는 탐욕에 빠져 엘리사가 거절한 나아만의 감사 예물을 취하려다가 하나님의 징벌로 문둥병에 걸렸다. 엘리사의 영력으로 인해 번번이 패배를 거듭했던 아람은 그를 체포하기 위해 도단 성을 포위했으나 하나님의 초자연적 역사로 또다시 패배하고 말았다.
  
  나아만의 문둥병 치유(5:1-5:27)    
 
  1. Now Naaman, captain of the army of the king of Aram, was a great man with his master, and highly respected, because by him the LORD had given victory to Aram. The man was also a valiant warrior, but he was a leper.
  2. Now the Arameans had gone out in bands and had taken captive a little girl from the land of Israel; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
  3. She said to her mistress, "I wish that my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! Then he would cure him of his leprosy."
  4. Naaman went in and told his master, saying, "Thus and thus spoke the girl who is from the land of Israel."
  5. Then the king of Aram said, "Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel." He departed and took with him ten talents of silver and six thousand shekels of gold and ten changes of clothes.
  1. スリヤ 王の 軍勢の 長 ナアマン はその 主君に 重んじられた 有力な 人であった． 主がかつて 彼を 用いて スリヤ に 勝利を 得させられたからである． 彼は 大勇士であったが， らい 病をわずらっていた．
  2. さきに スリヤ びとが 略奪隊を 組んで 出てきたとき， イスラエル の 地からひとりの 少女を 捕えて 行った． 彼女は ナアマン の 妻に 仕えたが，
  3. その 女主人にむかって， 「ああ， 御主人が サマリヤ にいる 預言者と 共におられたらよかったでしょうに． 彼はそのらい 病をいやしたことでしょう 」と 言ったので，
  4. ナアマン は 行って， その 主君に， 「イスラエル の 地からきた 娘がこういう 事を 言いました 」と 告げると，
  5. スリヤ 王は 言った， 「それでは 行きなさい． わたしは イスラエル の 王に 手紙を 書きましょう 」． そこで 彼は 銀十 タラント と， 金六千 シケル と， 晴れ 着十着を 携えて 行った．
  1. He brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, "And now as this letter comes to you, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to you, that you may cure him of his leprosy."
  2. When the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, "Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man is sending word to me to cure a man of his leprosy? But consider now, and see how he is seeking a quarrel against me."
  3. It happened when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent word to the king, saying, "Why have you torn your clothes? Now let him come to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel."
  4. So Naaman came with his horses and his chariots and stood at the doorway of the house of Elisha.
  5. Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh will be restored to you and you will be clean."
  1. 彼が イスラエル の 王に 持って 行った 手紙には， 「この 手紙があなたにとどいたならば， わたしの 家來 ナアマン を， あなたにつかわしたことと 御承知ください． あなたに 彼のらい 病をいやしていただくためです 」とあった．
  2. イスラエル の 王はその 手紙を 讀んだ 時， 衣を 裂いて 言った， 「わたしは 殺したり， 生かしたりすることのできる 神であろうか． どうしてこの 人は， らい 病人をわたしにつかわして， それをいやせと 言うのか． あなたがたは， 彼がわたしに 爭いをしかけているのを 知って 警戒するがよい 」．
  3. 神の 人 エリシャ は， イスラエル の 王がその 衣を 裂いたことを 聞き， 王に 人をつかわして 言った， 「どうしてあなたは 衣を 裂いたのですか． 彼をわたしのもとにこさせなさい． そうすれば 彼は イスラエル に 預言者のあることを 知るようになるでしょう 」．
  4. そこで ナアマン は 馬と 車とを 從えてきて， エリシャ の 家の 入口に 立った．
  5. すると エリシャ は 彼に 使者をつかわして 言った， 「あなたは ヨルダン へ 行って 七たび 身を 洗いなさい． そうすれば， あなたの 肉はもとにかえって 淸くなるでしょう 」．
  1. But Naaman was furious and went away and said, "Behold, I thought, 'He will surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place and cure the leper.'
  2. "Are not Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?" So he turned and went away in a rage.
  3. Then his servants came near and spoke to him and said, "My father, had the prophet told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, 'Wash, and be clean'?"
  4. So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child and he was clean.
  5. When he returned to the man of God with all his company, and came and stood before him, he said, "Behold now, I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel; so please take a present from your servant now."
  1. しかし ナアマン は 怒って 去り， そして 言った， 「わたしは， 彼がきっとわたしのもとに 出てきて 立ち， その 神， 主の 名を 呼んで， その 箇所の 上に 手を 動かして， らい 病をいやすのだろうと 思った．
  2. ダマスコ の 川 アバナ と パルパル は イスラエル のすべての 川水にまさるではないか． わたしはこれらの 川に 身を 洗って 淸まることができないのであろうか 」． こうして 彼は 身をめぐらし， 怒って 去った．
  3. その 時， しもべたちは 彼に 近よって 言った， 「わが 父よ， 預言者があなたに， 何か 大きな 事をせよと 命じても， あなたはそれをなさらなかったでしょうか． まして 彼はあなたに『身を 洗って 淸くなれ 』と 言うだけではありませんか 」．
  4. そこで ナアマン は 下って 行って， 神の 人の 言葉のように 七たび ヨルダン に 身を 浸すと， その 肉がもとにかえって 幼な 子の 肉のようになり， 淸くなった．
  5. 彼はすべての 從者を 連れて 神の 人のもとに 歸ってきて， その 前に 立って 言った， 「わたしは 今， イスラエル のほか， 全地のどこにも 神のおられないことを 知りました． それゆえ， どうぞ， しもべの 贈り 物を 受けてください 」．
  1. But he said, "As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will take nothing." And he urged him to take it, but he refused.
  2. Naaman said, "If not, please let your servant at least be given two mules' load of earth; for your servant will no longer offer burnt offering nor will he sacrifice to other gods, but to the LORD.
  3. "In this matter may the LORD pardon your servant: when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, when I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon your servant in this matter."
  4. He said to him, "Go in peace." So he departed from him some distance.
  5. But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, thought, "Behold, my master has spared this Naaman the Aramean, by not receiving from his hands what he brought As the LORD lives, I will run after him and take something from him."
  1. エリシャ は 言った， 「わたしの 仕える 主は 生きておられる． わたしは 何も 受けません 」． 彼はしいて 受けさせようとしたが， それを 拒んだ．
  2. そこで ナアマン は 言った， 「もしお 受けにならないのであれば， どうぞ ¿馬に 二馱の 土をしもべにください． これから 後しもべは， 他の 神には §祭も ¿牲もささげず， ただ 主にのみささげます．
  3. どうぞ 主がこの 事を， しもべにおゆるしくださるように． すなわち， わたしの 主君が リンモン の 宮にはいって， そこで 禮拜するとき， わたしの 手によりかかることがあり， またわたしも リンモン の 宮で 身をかがめることがありましょう． わたしが リンモン の 宮で 身をかがめる 時， どうぞ 主がその 事を， しもべにおゆるしくださるように 」．
  4. エリシャ は 彼に 言った， 「安んじて 行きなさい 」． ナアマン が エリシャ を 離れて 少し 行ったとき，
  5. 神の 人 エリシャ のしもべ ゲハジ は 言った， 「主人はこの スリヤ びと ナアマン をいたわって， 彼が 携えてきた 物を 受けなかった． 主は 生きておられる． わたしは 彼のあとを 追いかけて， 彼から 少し， 物を 受けよう 」．
  1. So Gehazi pursued Naaman. When Naaman saw one running after him, he came down from the chariot to meet him and said, "Is all well?"
  2. He said, "All is well My master has sent me, saying, 'Behold, just now two young men of the sons of the prophets have come to me from the hill country of Ephraim Please give them a talent of silver and two changes of clothes.'"
  3. Naaman said, "Be pleased to take two talents." And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags with two changes of clothes and gave them to two of his servants; and they carried them before him.
  4. When he came to the hill, he took them from their hand and deposited them in the house, and he sent the men away, and they departed.
  5. But he went in and stood before his master. And Elisha said to him, "Where have you been, Gehazi?" And he said, "Your servant went nowhere."
  1. そして ゲハジ は ナアマン のあとを 追ったが， ナアマン は 自分のあとから 彼が 走ってくるのを 見て， 車から 降り， 彼を 迎えて， 「變った 事があるのですか 」と 言うと，
  2. 彼は 言った， 「無事です． 主人がわたしをつかわして 言わせます， 『ただいま エフライム の 山地から， 預言者のともがらのふたりの 若者が， わたしのもとに 來ましたので， どうぞ 彼らに 銀一 タラント と 晴れ 着二着を 與えてください 』」．
  3. ナアマン は， 「どうぞ 二 タラント を 受けてください 」と 言って 彼にしい， 銀二 タラント を 二つの 袋に 入れ， 晴れ 着二着を 添えて， 自分のふたりのしもべに 渡したので， 彼らはそれを 負って ゲハジ の 先に 立って 進んだが，
  4. 彼は 丘にきたとき， それを 彼らの 手から 受け 取って 家のうちにおさめ， 人¿を 送りかえしたので， 彼らは 去った．
  5. 彼がはいって 主人の 前に 立つと， エリシャ は 彼に 言った， 「ゲハジ よ， どこへ 行ってきたのか 」． 彼は 言った， 「しもべはどこへも 行きません 」．
  1. Then he said to him, "Did not my heart go with you, when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to receive money and to receive clothes and olive groves and vineyards and sheep and oxen and male and female servants?
  2. "Therefore, the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and to your descendants forever." So he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
  1. エリシャ は 言った， 「あの 人が 車をはなれて， あなたを 迎えたとき， わたしの 心はあなたと 一緖にそこにいたではないか． 今は 金を 受け， 着物を 受け， オリブ 畑， ぶどう 畑， 羊， 牛， しもべ， はしためを 受ける 時であろうか．
  2. それゆえ， ナアマン のらい 病はあなたに 着き， ながくあなたの 子孫に 及ぶであろう 」． 彼が エリシャ の 前を 出ていくとき， らい 病が 發して 雪のように 白くなっていた．
 
  아람의 1차 침입(6:1-6:23)    
 
  1. Now the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, "Behold now, the place before you where we are living is too limited for us.
  2. "Please let us go to the Jordan and each of us take from there a beam, and let us make a place there for ourselves where we may live." So he said, "Go."
  3. Then one said, "Please be willing to go with your servants." And he answered, "I shall go."
  4. So he went with them; and when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees.
  5. But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, "Alas, my master! For it was borrowed."
  1. さて 預言者のともがらは エリシャ に 言った， 「わたしたちがあなたと 共に 住んでいる 所は 狹くなりましたので，
  2. わたしたちを ヨルダン に 行かせ， そこからめいめい 一本ずつ 材木を 取ってきて， わたしたちの 住む 場所を 造らせてください 」． エリシャ は 言った， 「行きなさい 」．
  3. 時にそのひとりが， 「どうぞあなたも， しもべらと 一緖に 行ってください 」と 言ったので， エリシャ は「行きましょう 」と 答えた．
  4. そして エリシャ は 彼らと 一緖に 行った． 彼らは ヨルダン へ 行って 木を 切り 倒したが，
  5. ひとりが 材木を 切り 倒しているとき， おのの 頭が 水の 中に 落ちたので， 彼は 叫んで 言った． 「ああ， わが 主よ． これは 借りたものです 」．
  1. Then the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And when he showed him the place, he cut off a stick and threw it in there, and made the iron float.
  2. He said, "Take it up for yourself." So he put out his hand and took it.
  3. Now the king of Aram was warring against Israel; and he counseled with his servants saying, "In such and such a place shall be my camp."
  4. The man of God sent word to the king of Israel saying, "Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Arameans are coming down there."
  5. The king of Israel sent to the place about which the man of God had told him; thus he warned him, so that he guarded himself there, more than once or twice.
  1. 神の 人は 言った， 「それはどこに 落ちたのか 」． 彼がその 場所を 知らせると， エリシャ は 一本の 枝を 切り 落し， そこに 投げ 入れて， そのおのの 頭を 浮ばせ，
  2. 「それを 取りあげよ 」と 言ったので， その 人は 手を 伸べてそれを 取った．
  3. かつて スリヤ の 王が イスラエル と 戰っていたとき， 家來たちと 評議して「しかじかの 所にわたしの 陣を 張ろう 」と 言うと，
  4. 神の 人は イスラエル の 王に「あなたは 用心して， この 所をとおってはなりません． スリヤ びとがそこに 下ってきますから 」と 言い 送った．
  5. それで イスラエル の 王は 神の 人が 自分に 告げてくれた 所に 人をつかわし， 警戒したので， その 所でみずからを 防ぎえたことは 一， 二回にとどまらなかった．
  1. Now the heart of the king of Aram was enraged over this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, "Will you tell me which of us is for the king of Israel?"
  2. One of his servants said, "No, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom."
  3. So he said, "Go and see where he is, that I may send and take him." And it was told him, saying, "Behold, he is in Dothan."
  4. He sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city.
  5. Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"
  1. スリヤ の 王はこの 事のために 心を 惱まし， 家來たちを 召して 言った， 「われわれのうち， だれが イスラエル の 王と 通じているのか， わたしに 告げる 者はないか 」．
  2. ひとりの 家來が 言った， 「王， わが 主よ， だれも 通じている 者はいません． ただ イスラエル の 預言者 エリシャ が， あなたが 寢室で 語られる 言葉でも イスラエル の 王に 告げるのです 」．
  3. 王は 言った， 「彼がどこにいるか 行って 搜しなさい． わたしは 人をやって 彼を 捕えよう 」． 時に「彼は ドタン にいる 」と 王に 告げる 者があったので，
  4. 王はそこに 馬と 戰車および 大軍をつかわした． 彼らは 夜のうちに 來て， その 町を 圍んだ．
  5. 神の 人の 召使が 朝早く 起きて 出て 見ると， 軍勢が 馬と 戰車をもって 町を 圍んでいたので， その 若者は エリシャ に 言った， 「ああ， わが 主よ， わたしたちはどうしましょうか 」．
  1. So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."
  2. Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see " And the LORD opened the servant's eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
  3. When they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD and said, "Strike this people with blindness, I pray." So He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
  4. Then Elisha said to them, "This is not the way, nor is this the city; follow me and I will bring you to the man whom you seek." And he brought them to Samaria.
  5. When they had come into Samaria, Elisha said, "O LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see." So the LORD opened their eyes and they saw; and behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.
  1. エリシャ は 言った， 「恐れることはない． われわれと 共にいる 者は 彼らと 共にいる 者よりも 多いのだから 」．
  2. そして エリシャ が 祈って「主よ， どうぞ， 彼の 目を 開いて 見させてください 」と 言うと， 主はその 若者の 目を 開かれたので， 彼が 見ると， 火の 馬と 火の 戰車が 山に 滿ちて エリシャ のまわりにあった．
  3. スリヤ びとが エリシャ の 所に 下ってきた 時， エリシャ は 主に 祈って 言った， 「どうぞ， この 人¿の 目をくらましてください 」． すると エリシャ の 言葉のとおりに 彼らの 目をくらまされた．
  4. そこで エリシャ は 彼らに「これはその 道ではない． これはその 町でもない． わたしについてきなさい． わたしはあなたがたを， あなたがたの 尋ねる 人の 所へ 連れて 行きましょう 」と 言って， 彼らを サマリヤ へ 連れて 行った．
  5. 彼らが サマリヤ にはいったとき， エリシャ は 言った， 「主よ， この 人¿の 目を 開いて 見させてください 」． 主は 彼らの 目を 開かれたので， 彼らが 見ると， 見よ， 彼らは サマリヤ のうちに 來ていた．
  1. Then the king of Israel when he saw them, said to Elisha, "My father, shall I kill them? Shall I kill them?"
  2. He answered, "You shall not kill them. Would you kill those you have taken captive with your sword and with your bow? Set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master."
  3. So he prepared a great feast for them; and when they had eaten and drunk he sent them away, and they went to their master. And the marauding bands of Arameans did not come again into the land of Israel.
  1. イスラエル の 王は 彼らを 見て， エリシャ に 言った， 「わが 父よ， 彼らを 擊ち 殺しましょうか． 彼らを 擊ち 殺しましょうか 」．
  2. エリシャ は 答えた， 「擊ち 殺してはならない． あなたはつるぎと 弓をもって， 捕虜にした 者どもを 擊ち 殺すでしょうか． パン と 水を 彼らの 前に 供えて 食い 飮みさせ， その 主君のもとへ 行かせなさい 」．
  3. そこで 王は 彼らのために 盛んなふるまいを 設けた． 彼らが 食い 飮みを 終ると 彼らを 去らせたので， その 主君の 所へ 歸った． スリヤ の 略奪隊は 再び イスラエル の 地にこなかった．
