예레미야 9:1-10:25

 유다 멸망에 대한 애곡의 분위기가 극도로 고조된 가운데 예레미야는 하나님의 공의를 들어 징계의 불가피성을 밝혔고, 유다를 멸망케 한 우상 숭배의 실상을 간파하였다. 그는 하나님께서는 창조주로서 능력의 근원이 되시며 인생의 화복을 주관하시는 분이심에 비해, 인간에 의해 만들어진 우상은 무능할 뿐임을 공포하였다.
  
  배반한 유다의 참상(9:1-9:26)    
 
  1. Oh that my head were waters And my eyes a fountain of tears, That I might weep day and night For the slain of the daughter of my people!
  2. Oh that I had in the desert A wayfarers' lodging place; That I might leave my people And go from them! For all of them are adulterers, An assembly of treacherous men.
  3. "They bend their tongue like their bow; Lies and not truth prevail in the land; For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me," declares the LORD.
  4. "Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; Because every brother deals craftily, And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.
  5. "Everyone deceives his neighbor And does not speak the truth, They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves committing iniquity.
  1. ああ， わたしの 頭が 水となり， わたしの 目が 淚の 泉となればよいのに． そうすれば， わたしは 民の 娘の 殺された 者のために ／¿も 夜も 嘆くことができる．
  2. ああ， わたしが 荒野に， 隊商の 宿を 得ることができればよいのに． そうすれば， わたしは 民を 離れて ／去って 行くことができる． 彼らはみな 姦淫する 者， 不信のともがらだからである．
  3. 彼らは 弓をひくように， その 舌を 曲げる． 眞實ではなく， 僞りがこの 地に 强くなった． 彼らは 惡より 惡に 進み， またわたしを 知らないと， 主は 言われる．
  4. あなたがたはおのおの 隣り 人に 氣をつけよ． どの 兄弟をも 信じてはならない． 兄弟はみな， 押しのける 者であり， 隣り 人はみな， ののしって 步く 者だからである．
  5. 人はみな， その 隣り 人を 欺き， 眞實を 言う 者はない． 彼らは 自分の 舌に 僞りを 言うことを 敎え， 惡を 行い， 疲れて 悔い 改めるいとまもなく，
  1. "Your dwelling is in the midst of deceit; Through deceit they refuse to know Me," declares the LORD.
  2. Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, "Behold, I will refine them and assay them; For what else can I do, because of the daughter of My people?
  3. "Their tongue is a deadly arrow; It speaks deceit; With his mouth one speaks peace to his neighbor, But inwardly he sets an ambush for him.
  4. "Shall I not punish them for these things?" declares the LORD. "On a nation such as this Shall I not avenge Myself?
  5. "For the mountains I will take up a weeping and wailing, And for the pastures of the wilderness a dirge, Because they are laid waste so that no one passes through, And the lowing of the cattle is not heard; Both the birds of the sky and the beasts have fled; they are gone.
  1. しえたげに， しえたげを 積み 重ね， 僞りに 僞りを 積み 重ね， わたしを 知ることを 拒んでいると， 主は 言われる．
  2. それゆえ 万軍の 主はこう 言われる， 「見よ， わたしは 彼らを 溶かし， 試みる． このほか， わが 民をどうすることができよう．
  3. 彼らの 舌は 殺す 矢のようだ， それは 僞りを 言う． その 口ではおのおの 隣り 人におだやかに 語るが， その 心では 彼を 待ち 伏せる 計りごとを 立てる．
  4. 主は 言われる， これらのことのために， わたしが 彼らを 罰しないだろうか． わたしがこのような 民にあだを 返さないだろうか．
  5. 山のために 泣き 叫び， 野の 牧場のために 悲しめ． これらは 荒れすたれて， 通り 過ぎる 人もない． ここには 牛， 羊の 鳴く 聲も 聞えず， 空の 鳥も ¿も 皆逃げ 去った．
  1. "I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, A haunt of jackals; And I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, without inhabitant."
  2. Who is the wise man that may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD has spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined, laid waste like a desert, so that no one passes through?
  3. The LORD said, "Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice nor walked according to it,
  4. but have walked after the stubbornness of their heart and after the Baals, as their fathers taught them,"
  5. therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, "behold, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink.
  1. わたしは エルサレム を 荒塚とし， 山犬の 巢とする． また ユダ の 町¿を 荒して， 住む 人もない 所とする 」．
  2. 知惠があって， これを 悟ることのできる 人はだれか． 主の 口の 言葉をうけて， それを 示す 人はだれか． この 地が 滅ぼされて 荒野のようになり， 通り 過ぎる 人もなくなったのはどういうわけか．
  3. 主は 言われる， 「それは 彼らの 前にわたしが 立てたおきてを 彼らが 捨てて， わたしの 聲に 聞き 從わず， そのとおりに 步かなかったからである．
  4. 彼らは 强情に 自分の 心に 從い， また 先祖の 敎えたように バアル に 從った．
  5. それゆえ 万軍の 主， イスラエル の 神はこう 言われる， 見よ， わたしはこの 民に， にがよもぎを 食べさせ， 毒の 水を 飮ませ，
  1. "I will scatter them among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them until I have annihilated them."
  2. Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Consider and call for the mourning women, that they may come; And send for the wailing women, that they may come!
  3. "Let them make haste and take up a wailing for us, That our eyes may shed tears And our eyelids flow with water.
  4. "For a voice of wailing is heard from Zion, 'How are we ruined! We are put to great shame, For we have left the land, Because they have cast down our dwellings.'"
  5. Now hear the word of the LORD, O you women, And let your ear receive the word of His mouth; Teach your daughters wailing, And everyone her neighbor a dirge.
  1. 彼らも， その 先祖たちも 知らなかった 國びとのうちに 彼らを 散らし， また 彼らを 滅ぼし 盡すまで， そのうしろに， つるぎをつかわす 」．
  2. 万軍の 主はこう 言われる， 「よく 考えて， 泣き 女を 呼べ． また 人をつかわして 巧みな 女を 招け．
  3. 彼らに 急いでこさせ， われわれのために 泣き 悲しませて， われわれの 目に 淚をこぼさせ， まぶたから 水をあふれさせよ．
  4. シオン から 悲しみの 聲が 聞える． それは 言う， 『ああ， われわれは 滅ぼされ， いたく， はずかしめられている． われわれはその 地を 去り， 彼らがわれわれのすみかをこわしたからだ 』」．
  5. 女たちよ， 主の 言葉を 聞け． あなたがたの 耳に， その 口の 言葉をいれよ． あなたがたの 娘に 悲しみの 歌を 敎え， おのおのその 隣り 人に 哀悼の 歌を 敎えよ．
  1. For death has come up through our windows; It has entered our palaces To cut off the children from the streets, The young men from the town squares.
  2. Speak, "Thus says the LORD, 'The corpses of men will fall like dung on the open field, And like the sheaf after the reaper, But no one will gather them.'"
  3. Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches;
  4. but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the LORD.
  5. "Behold, the days are coming," declares the LORD, "that I will punish all who are circumcised and yet uncircumcised--
  1. 死がわれわれの 窓に 上って 來， われわれの 邸宅の 中にはいり， ちまたにいる 子どもらを 絶やし， 廣場にいる 若い 人たちを 殺そうとしているからだ．
  2. あなたはこう 言いなさい， 「主は 言われる， 『人の 死體が 糞土のように， 野に 倒れているようになり， また 刈入れする 人のうしろに 殘って， だれも 集めることをしない 束のようになる 』」．
  3. 主はこう 言われる， 「知惠ある 人はその 知惠を 誇ってはならない． 力ある 人はその 力を 誇ってはならない． 富める 者はその 富を 誇ってはならない．
  4. 誇る 者はこれを 誇とせよ． すなわち， さとくあって， わたしを 知っていること， わたしが 主であって， 地に， いつくしみと 公平と 正義を 行っている 者であることを 知ることがそれである． わたしはこれらの 事を 喜ぶと， 主は 言われる 」．
  5. 主は 言われる， 「見よ， このような 日が 來る． その 日には， 割禮をうけても， 心に 割禮をうけていないすべての 人をわたしは 罰する．
  1. Egypt and Judah, and Edom and the sons of Ammon, and Moab and all those inhabiting the desert who clip the hair on their temples; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised of heart."
  1. エジプト ， ユダ ， エドム ， アンモン の 人¿， モアブ ， および 野にいて， 髮の 毛のすみずみをそる 人¿はそれである． これらの 國びとはみな 割禮をうけていない 者であり， イスラエル の 全家もみな 心に 割禮をうけていない 者である 」．
 
  참 하나님과 거짓 우상(10:1-10:25)    
 
  1. Hear the word which the LORD speaks to you, O house of Israel.
  2. Thus says the LORD, "Do not learn the way of the nations, And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens Although the nations are terrified by them;
  3. For the customs of the peoples are delusion; Because it is wood cut from the forest, The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool.
  4. "They decorate it with silver and with gold; They fasten it with nails and with hammers So that it will not totter.
  5. "Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field are they, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot walk! Do not fear them, For they can do no harm, Nor can they do any good."
  1. イスラエル の 家よ， 主のあなたがたに 語られる 言葉を 聞け．
  2. 主はこう 言われる， 「異邦の 人の 道に 習ってはならない． また 異邦の 人が 天に 現れるしるしを 恐れても， あなたがたはそれを 恐れてはならない．
  3. 異邦の 民のならわしはむなしいからだ． 彼らの 崇拜するものは， 林から 切りだした 木で， 木工の 手で， おのをもって 造ったものだ．
  4. 人¿は 銀や 金をもって， それを 飾り， くぎと 鎚をもって 動かないようにそれをとめる．
  5. その 偶像は， きゅうり 畑のかかしのようで， ものを 言うことができない． 步くこともできないから， 人に 運んでもらわなければならない． それを 恐れるに 及ばない． それは 災をくだすことができず， また 幸をくだす 力もないからだ 」．
  1. There is none like You, O LORD; You are great, and great is Your name in might.
  2. Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? Indeed it is Your due! For among all the wise men of the nations And in all their kingdoms, There is none like You.
  3. But they are altogether stupid and foolish In their discipline of delusion--their idol is wood!
  4. Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish, And gold from Uphaz, The work of a craftsman and of the hands of a goldsmith; Violet and purple are their clothing; They are all the work of skilled men.
  5. But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King At His wrath the earth quakes, And the nations cannot endure His indignation.
  1. 主よ， あなたに ¿びうる 者はありません． あなたは 大いなる 者であり， あなたの 名も ／その 力のために 大いなるものであります．
  2. 万國の 王であるあなたを， 恐れない 者がありましょうか． あなたを 恐れるのは 當然のことであります． 万國のすべての 知惠ある 者のうちにも， その 國¿のうちにも， あなたに ¿びうる 者はありません．
  3. 彼らは 皆， 愚かで 鈍く， 偶像の 敎は， ただ 木にすぎない．
  4. 銀ぱくは タルシシ から 渡來し， 金は ウパズ から 携えてくる． これらは 工人と 金細工人の 工作である． 彼らの 着物はすみれ 色と 紫色である． これらはみな 巧みな 細工人の 作った 物である．
  5. しかし 主はまことの 神である． 生きた 神であり， 永遠の 王である． その 怒りによって 地は 震いうごき， 万國はその 憤りに 當ることができない．
  1. Thus you shall say to them, "The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under the heavens."
  2. It is He who made the earth by His power, Who established the world by His wisdom; And by His understanding He has stretched out the heavens.
  3. When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, And He causes the clouds to ascend from the end of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain, And brings out the wind from His storehouses.
  4. Every man is stupid, devoid of knowledge; Every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols; For his molten images are deceitful, And there is no breath in them.
  5. They are worthless, a work of mockery; In the time of their punishment they will perish.
  1. あなたがたは 彼らに， こう 言わなければならない， 「天地を 造らなかった 神¿は 地の 上， 天の 下から 滅び 去る 」と．
  2. 主はその 力をもって 地を 造り， その 知惠をもって 世界を 建て， その 悟りをもって 天をのべられた．
  3. 彼が 聲を 出されると， 天に 多くの 水のざわめきがあり， また 地の 果から 霧を 立ちあがらせられる． 彼は 雨のために， いなびかりをおこし， その 倉から 風を 取り 出される．
  4. すべての 人は 愚かで 知惠がなく， すべての 金細工人は ／その 造った 偶像のために 恥をこうむる． その 偶像は 僞り 物で， そのうちに 息がないからだ．
  5. これらは， むなしいもので， 迷いのわざである． 罰せられる 時に 滅びるものである．
  1. The portion of Jacob is not like these; For the Maker of all is He, And Israel is the tribe of His inheritance; The LORD of hosts is His name.
  2. Pick up your bundle from the ground, You who dwell under siege!
  3. For thus says the LORD, "Behold, I am slinging out the inhabitants of the land At this time, And will cause them distress, That they may be found."
  4. Woe is me, because of my injury! My wound is incurable But I said, "Truly this is a sickness, And I must bear it."
  5. My tent is destroyed, And all my ropes are broken; My sons have gone from me and are no more There is no one to stretch out my tent again Or to set up my curtains.
  1. ヤコブ の 分である 彼はこのようなものではない． 彼は 万物の 造り 主だからである． イスラエル は 彼の 嗣業としての 部族である． 彼の 名を 万軍の 主という．
  2. 圍みの 中におる 者よ， あなたの 包を 地から 取り 上げよ．
  3. 主がこう 言われるからだ， 「見よ， わたしはこのたび， この 地に 住む 者を 投げ 捨てる． かつ 彼らをせめなやまして， 思い 知らせる 」．
  4. わたしはいたでをうけた， ああ， わざわいなるかな， わたしの 傷は 重い． しかしわたしは 言った， 「まことに， これは 惱みである． わたしはこれを 忍ばなければならない 」と．
  5. わたしの 天幕は 破れ， 綱はことごとく 切れ， 子どもたちはわたしを 捨てて 行って， いなくなった． もはやわたしの 天幕を 張る 者はなく， 幕を 掛ける 者もない．
  1. For the shepherds have become stupid And have not sought the LORD; Therefore they have not prospered, And all their flock is scattered.
  2. The sound of a report! Behold, it comes-- A great commotion out of the land of the north-- To make the cities of Judah A desolation, a haunt of jackals.
  3. I know, O LORD, that a man's way is not in himself, Nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps.
  4. Correct me, O LORD, but with justice; Not with Your anger, or You will bring me to nothing.
  5. Pour out Your wrath on the nations that do not know You And on the families that do not call Your name; For they have devoured Jacob; They have devoured him and consumed him And have laid waste his habitation.
  1. 牧者は 愚かであって， 主に 問うことをしないからである． それゆえ 彼らは 榮えることもなく， その 群れはみな 散り 去っている．
  2. 聞けよ， うわさのあるのを． 見よ， 北の 國から 大いなる ¿ぎが 來る． これは ユダ の 町¿を 荒して 山犬の 巢とする．
  3. 主よ， わたしは 知っています， 人の 道は 自身によるのではなく， 步む 人が， その 步みを ／自分で 決めることのできないことを．
  4. 主よ， わたしを 懲らしてください． 正しい 道にしたがって， 怒らずに 懲らしてください． さもないと， わたしは 無に 歸してしまうでしょう．
  5. あなたを 知らない 國民と， あなたの 名をとなえない 人¿に ／あなたの 怒りを 注いでください． 彼らは ヤコブ を 食い 盡し ／これを 食い 盡して 滅ぼし， そのすみかを 荒したからです．
