에스라

  본서는 하나님께서 예레미야를 통해 말씀하신 예언(렘 29:10-14), 즉 이스라엘 민족을 70년간의 포로 생활 후 다시 가나안 땅으로 인도하시리라는 약속의 성취 과정을 기록하고 있다. 그래서 이스라엘의 회복, 신앙과 예배의 구심적인 성전 재건, 야웨 신앙의 순수성 확립을 강조하고 있다.

  이스라엘 민족의 귀환은 3차에 걸쳐 이루어졌는데, 1,2차 귀환의 내용이 본서에 기록되고 있다. 1차 귀환과 성전 재건은 스룹바벨과 예수아를 중심으로 이루어졌으며, 2차 귀환은 에스라를 중심으로 이루어졌다. 에스라는 도덕적, 영적으로 폐허가 된 유대인들의 마음에 하나님의 법을 재건하는 신앙 개혁 운동을 일으켰다.

 

 

에스라 1:1-2:70

 하나님께서는 바사 왕 고레스의 마음을 감동시키셔서 이스라엘 백성에게 유다 예루살렘에 올라가 하나님의 전을 건축하라는 조서를 내리게 하셨다. 바벨론에서의 포로 생활을 청산하고 예루살렘으로 귀환한 사람들의 명단이 기록되어 있다.
  
  고레스의 조서(1:1-1:11)    
 
  1. Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he sent a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying:
  2. "Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, 'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He has appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
  3. 'Whoever there is among you of all His people, may his God be with him! Let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah and rebuild the house of the LORD, the God of Israel; He is the God who is in Jerusalem.
  4. 'Every survivor, at whatever place he may live, let the men of that place support him with silver and gold, with goods and cattle, together with a freewill offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.'"
  5. Then the heads of fathers' households of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and the Levites arose, even everyone whose spirit God had stirred to go up and rebuild the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.
  1. ペルシア の 王 キュロス の 第一年のことである． 主はかつて エレミヤ の 口によって 約束されたことを 成就するため， ペルシア の 王 キュロス の 心を 動かされた． キュロス は 文書にも 記して， 國中に 次のような 布告を 行き 渡らせた．
  2. 「ペルシア の 王 キュロス はこう 言う． 天にいます 神， 主は， 地上のすべての 國をわたしに 賜った． この 主が ユダ の エルサレム に 御自分の 神殿を 建てることをわたしに 命じられた．
  3. あなたたちの 中で 主の 民に 屬する 者はだれでも， エルサレム にいます イスラエル の 神， 主の 神殿を 建てるために， ユダ の エルサレム に 上って 行くがよい． 神が 共にいてくださるように．
  4. すべての 殘りの 者には， どこに 寄留している 者にも， その 所の 人¿は 銀， 金， 家財， 家畜， エルサレム の 神殿への 隨意の 獻げ 物を 持たせるようにせよ． 」
  5. そこで， ユダ と ベニヤミン の 家長， 祭司， レビ 人， つまり 神に 心を 動かされた 者は 皆， エルサレム の 主の 神殿を 建てるために 上って 行こうとした．
  1. All those about them encouraged them with articles of silver, with gold, with goods, with cattle and with valuables, aside from all that was given as a freewill offering.
  2. Also King Cyrus brought out the articles of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had carried away from Jerusalem and put in the house of his gods;
  3. and Cyrus, king of Persia, had them brought out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and he counted them out to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.
  4. Now this was their number: 30 gold dishes, 1,000 silver dishes, 29 duplicates;
  5. 30 gold bowls, 410 silver bowls of a second kind and 1,000 other articles.
  1. 周圍の 人¿は 皆， あらゆる 隨意の 獻げ 物のほかに， 銀と 金の 器， 家財， 家畜， 高價な 贈り 物をもって 彼らを 支援した．
  2. キュロス 王は， ネブカドネツァル が エルサレム の 主の 神殿から 出させて， 自分の 神¿の 宮に 納めた 祭具類を 取り 出させた．
  3. ペルシア の 王 キュロス は 財務官 ミトレダト によってそれを 取り 出させ， ユダ の 首長 シェシュバツァル の 前で 數えさせたところ，
  4. その 數は 次のとおりであった． 金の 容器三十， 銀の 容器一千， 小刀二十九，
  5. 金杯三十， 二級品の 銀杯四百十， その 他の 祭具一千，
  1. All the articles of gold and silver numbered 5,400. Sheshbazzar brought them all up with the exiles who went up from Babylon to Jerusalem.
  1. 以上金銀の 祭具の 合計五千四百． シェシュバツァル は， 捕囚の 民が バビロン から エルサレム に 上って 來たとき， これらの 品¿をすべて 携えて 上った．
 
  귀환자 명단(2:1-2:70)    
 
  1. Now these are the people of the province who came up out of the captivity of the exiles whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his city.
  2. These came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum and Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
  3. the sons of Parosh, 2,172;
  4. the sons of Shephatiah, 372;
  5. the sons of Arah, 775;
  1. 捕らえ 移された 先から 上って 來たこの 州の 人¿は 次のとおりである． 彼らは バビロン の 王 ネブカドネツァル によって バビロン に 連行されたが， それぞれ エルサレム と ユダ にある 自分の 町に 歸った 者たちである．
  2. 彼らは ゼルバベル ， イエシュア ， ネヘムヤ ， セラヤ ， レエラヤ ， モルドカイ ， ビルシャン ， ミスパル ， ビグワイ ， レフム ， バアナ と 共に 歸って 來た． イスラエル の 民の 男子の 數．

  4. the sons of Harim, 1,017.
  5. The Levites: the sons of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the sons of Hodaviah, 74.

  1. The singers: the sons of Asaph, 128.
  2. The sons of the gatekeepers: the sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hatita, the sons of Shobai, in all 139.
  3. The temple servants: the sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth,
  4. the sons of Keros, the sons of Siaha, the sons of Padon,
  5. the sons of Lebanah, the sons of Hagabah, the sons of Akkub,
  1. 詠唱者． アサフ の 一族百二十八人．

  5. the sons of Asnah, the sons of Meunim, the sons of Nephisim,

  5. The sons of Solomon's servants: the sons of Sotai, the sons of Hassophereth, the sons of Peruda,

  1. the sons of Jaalah, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel,
  2. the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth-hazzebaim, the sons of Ami.
  3. All the temple servants and the sons of Solomon's servants were 392.
  4. Now these are those who came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addan and Immer, but they were not able to give evidence of their fathers' households and their descendants, whether they were of Israel:
  5. the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, 652.

  1. Of the sons of the priests: the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of Barzillai, who took a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and he was called by their name.
  2. These searched among their ancestral registration, but they could not be located; therefore they were considered unclean and excluded from the priesthood.
  3. The governor said to them that they should not eat from the most holy things until a priest stood up with Urim and Thummim.
  4. The whole assembly numbered 42,360,
  5. besides their male and female servants who numbered 7,337; and they had 200 singing men and women.
  1. また 祭司の 一族のうち， ホバヤ の 一族， ハコツ の 一族， ギレアド 人 バルジライ の 娘の 一人をめとったので， その 名が 由來する バルジライ の 一族は，
  2. 自分たちの 家系の 記錄を 搜したが 發見できず， 祭司職に 就くことを 禁じられた．
  3. 總督は， ウリム と トンミム をつけた 祭司が 立つまで 彼らが 聖なる 食べ 物にあずかることを 禁じた．
  4. 會衆の 總數は， 四万二千三百六十人であった．
  5. ほかに 男女の 使用人がいて， それが 七千三百三十七人いた． また， 男女の 詠唱者が 二百人いた．
  1. Their horses were 736; their mules, 245;
  2. their camels, 435; their donkeys, 6,720.
  3. Some of the heads of fathers' households, when they arrived at the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for the house of God to restore it on its foundation.
  4. According to their ability they gave to the treasury for the work 61,000 gold drachmas and 5,000 silver minas and 100 priestly garments.
  5. Now the priests and the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the gatekeepers and the temple servants lived in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
  1. 彼らの 馬は 七百三十六頭， らばは 二百四十五頭，
  2. らくだは 四百三十五頭， ろばは 六千七百二十頭であった．
  3. エルサレム の 主の 神殿に 着くと， 家長の 幾人かは， 神殿をその 場所に 再建するために 隨意の 獻げ 物をささげた．
  4. 彼らはそれぞれ 力に 應じて 工事の 會計に 金六万一千 ドラクメ ， 銀五千 マネ ， 祭服百着を 差し 出した．
  5. 祭司， レビ 人， 民の 一部， 詠唱者， 門衛， 神殿の 使用人はそれぞれ 自分たちの 町に 住んだ． イスラエル 人は 皆それぞれ， 自分たちの 町に 住んだ．
