- Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.
- By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments.
- For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.
- For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.
- Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

- イエス が メシア であると 信じる 人は 皆， 神から 生まれた 者です． そして， 生んでくださった 方を 愛する 人は 皆， その 方から 生まれた 者をも 愛します．
- このことから 明らかなように， わたしたちが 神を 愛し， その ¿を 守るときはいつも， 神の 子供たちを 愛します．
- 神を 愛するとは， 神の ¿を 守ることです． 神の ¿は 難しいものではありません．
- 神から 生まれた 人は 皆， 世に 打ち 勝つからです． 世に 打ち 勝つ 勝利， それはわたしたちの 信仰です．
- だれが 世に 打ち 勝つか． イエス が 神の 子であると 信じる 者ではありませんか．

- This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
- For there are three that testify:
- the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
- If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that He has testified concerning His Son.
- The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son.

- この 方は， 水と 血を 通って 來られた 方， イエス · キリスト です． 水だけではなく， 水と 血とによって 來られたのです． そして， “靈 ＂はこのことを 證しする 方です． “靈 ＂は 眞理だからです．
- 證しするのは 三者で，
- “靈 ＂と 水と 血です． この 三者は 一致しています．
- わたしたちが 人の 證しを 受け 入れるのであれば， 神の 證しは 更にまさっています． 神が 御子についてなさった 證し， これが 神の 證しだからです．
- 神の 子を 信じる 人は， 自分の 內にこの 證しがあり， 神を 信じない 人は， 神が 御子についてなさった 證しを 信じていないため， 神を 僞り 者にしてしまっています．

- And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
- He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
- These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
- And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

- その 證しとは， 神が 永遠の 命をわたしたちに 與えられたこと， そして， この 命が 御子の 內にあるということです．
- 御子と 結ばれている 人にはこの 命があり， 神の 子と 結ばれていない 人にはこの 命がありません．
- 神の 子の 名を 信じているあなたがたに， これらのことを 書き 送るのは， 永遠の 命を 得ていることを 悟らせたいからです．
- 何事でも 神の 御心に 適うことをわたしたちが 願うなら， 神は 聞き 入れてくださる． これが 神に 對するわたしたちの 確信です．
- わたしたちは， 願い 事は 何でも 聞き 入れてくださるということが 分かるなら， 神に 願ったことは 旣にかなえられていることも 分かります．

- If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this.
- All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.
- We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.
- We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
- And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ This is the true God and eternal life.

- 死に 至らない 罪を 犯している 兄弟を 見たら， その 人のために 神に 願いなさい． そうすれば， 神はその 人に 命をお 與えになります． これは， 死に 至らない 罪を 犯している 人¿の 場合です． 死に 至る 罪があります． これについては， 神に 願うようにとは 言いません．
- 不義はすべて 罪です． しかし， 死に 至らない 罪もあります．
- わたしたちは 知っています． すべて 神から 生まれた 者は 罪を 犯しません． 神からお 生まれになった 方が， その 人を 守ってくださり， 惡い 者は 手を 觸れることができません．
- わたしたちは 知っています． わたしたちは 神に 屬する 者ですが， この 世全體が 惡い 者の 支配下にあるのです．
- わたしたちは 知っています． 神の 子が 來て， 眞實な 方を 知る 力を 與えてくださいました． わたしたちは 眞實な 方の 內に， その 御子 イエス · キリスト の 內にいるのです． この 方こそ， 眞實の 神， 永遠の 命です．

- Little children, guard yourselves from idols.

- 子たちよ， 偶像を 避けなさい．
