  1. "Moreover, you shall make an altar as a place for burning incense; you shall make it of acacia wood.
  2. "Its length shall be a cubit, and its width a cubit, it shall be square, and its height shall be two cubits; its horns shall be of one piece with it.
  3. "You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top and its sides all around, and its horns; and you shall make a gold molding all around for it.
  4. "You shall make two gold rings for it under its molding; you shall make them on its two side walls--on opposite sides--and they shall be holders for poles with which to carry it.
  5. "You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
  1. "Make an altar of acacia wood for burning incense.
  2. It is to be square, a cubit long and a cubit wide, and two cubits high --its horns of one piece with it.
  3. Overlay the top and all the sides and the horns with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it.
  4. Make two gold rings for the altar below the molding--two on opposite sides--to hold the poles used to carry it.
  5. Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
  1. "You shall put this altar in front of the veil that is near the ark of the testimony, in front of the mercy seat that is over the ark of the testimony, where I will meet with you.
  2. "Aaron shall burn fragrant incense on it; he shall burn it every morning when he trims the lamps.
  3. "When Aaron trims the lamps at twilight, he shall burn incense. There shall be perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations.
  4. "You shall not offer any strange incense on this altar, or burnt offering or meal offering; and you shall not pour out a drink offering on it.
  5. "Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once a year; he shall make atonement on it with the blood of the sin offering of atonement once a year throughout your generations. It is most holy to the LORD."
  1. Put the altar in front of the curtain that is before the ark of the Testimony--before the atonement cover that is over the Testimony--where I will meet with you.
  2. "Aaron must burn fragrant incense on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps.
  3. He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at twilight so incense will burn regularly before the LORD for the generations to come.
  4. Do not offer on this altar any other incense or any burnt offering or grain offering, and do not pour a drink offering on it.
  5. Once a year Aaron shall make atonement on its horns. This annual atonement must be made with the blood of the atoning sin offering for the generations to come. It is most holy to the LORD."
  1. The LORD also spoke to Moses, saying,
  2. "When you take a census of the sons of Israel to number them, then each one of them shall give a ransom for himself to the LORD, when you number them, so that there will be no plague among them when you number them.
  3. "This is what everyone who is numbered shall give: half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs), half a shekel as a contribution to the LORD.
  4. "Everyone who is numbered, from twenty years old and over, shall give the contribution to the LORD.
  5. "The rich shall not pay more and the poor shall not pay less than the half shekel, when you give the contribution to the LORD to make atonement for yourselves.
  1. Then the LORD said to Moses,
  2. "When you take a census of the Israelites to count them, each one must pay the LORD a ransom for his life at the time he is counted. Then no plague will come on them when you number them.
  3. Each one who crosses over to those already counted is to give a half shekel, according to the sanctuary shekel, which weighs twenty gerahs. This half shekel is an offering to the LORD.
  4. All who cross over, those twenty years old or more, are to give an offering to the LORD.
  5. The rich are not to give more than a half shekel and the poor are not to give less when you make the offering to the LORD to atone for your lives.
  1. "You shall take the atonement money from the sons of Israel and shall give it for the service of the tent of meeting, that it may be a memorial for the sons of Israel before the LORD, to make atonement for yourselves."
  2. The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  3. "You shall also make a laver of bronze, with its base of bronze, for washing; and you shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it.
  4. "Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet from it;
  5. when they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water, so that they will not die; or when they approach the altar to minister, by offering up in smoke a fire sacrifice to the LORD.
  1. Receive the atonement money from the Israelites and use it for the service of the Tent of Meeting. It will be a memorial for the Israelites before the LORD, making atonement for your lives."
  2. Then the LORD said to Moses,
  3. "Make a bronze basin, with its bronze stand, for washing. Place it between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
  4. Aaron and his sons are to wash their hands and feet with water from it.
  5. Whenever they enter the Tent of Meeting, they shall wash with water so that they will not die. Also, when they approach the altar to minister by presenting an offering made to the LORD by fire,
  1. "So they shall wash their hands and their feet, so that they will not die; and it shall be a perpetual statute for them, for Aaron and his descendants throughout their generations."
  2. Moreover, the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  3. "Take also for yourself the finest of spices: of flowing myrrh five hundred shekels, and of fragrant cinnamon half as much, two hundred and fifty, and of fragrant cane two hundred and fifty,
  4. and of cassia five hundred, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and of olive oil a hin.
  5. "You shall make of these a holy anointing oil, a perfume mixture, the work of a perfumer; it shall be a holy anointing oil.
  1. they shall wash their hands and feet so that they will not die. This is to be a lasting ordinance for Aaron and his descendants for the generations to come."
  2. Then the LORD said to Moses,
  3. "Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels of fragrant cane,
  4. 500 shekels of cassia--all according to the sanctuary shekel--and a hin of olive oil.
  5. Make these into a sacred anointing oil, a fragrant blend, the work of a perfumer. It will be the sacred anointing oil.
  1. "With it you shall anoint the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony,
  2. and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense,
  3. and the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the laver and its stand.
  4. "You shall also consecrate them, that they may be most holy; whatever touches them shall be holy.
  5. "You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister as priests to Me.
  1. Then use it to anoint the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony,
  2. the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the altar of incense,
  3. the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the basin with its stand.
  4. You shall consecrate them so they will be most holy, and whatever touches them will be holy.
  5. "Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them so they may serve me as priests.
  1. "You shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'This shall be a holy anointing oil to Me throughout your generations.
  2. 'It shall not be poured on anyone's body, nor shall you make any like it in the same proportions; it is holy, and it shall be holy to you.
  3. 'Whoever shall mix any like it or whoever puts any of it on a layman shall be cut off from his people.'"
  4. Then the LORD said to Moses, "Take for yourself spices, stacte and onycha and galbanum, spices with pure frankincense; there shall be an equal part of each.
  5. "With it you shall make incense, a perfume, the work of a perfumer, salted, pure, and holy.
  1. Say to the Israelites, 'This is to be my sacred anointing oil for the generations to come.
  2. Do not pour it on men's bodies and do not make any oil with the same formula. It is sacred, and you are to consider it sacred.
  3. Whoever makes perfume like it and whoever puts it on anyone other than a priest must be cut off from his people.' "
  4. Then the LORD said to Moses, "Take fragrant spices--gum resin, onycha and galbanum--and pure frankincense, all in equal amounts,
  5. and make a fragrant blend of incense, the work of a perfumer. It is to be salted and pure and sacred.
  1. "You shall beat some of it very fine, and put part of it before the testimony in the tent of meeting where I will meet with you; it shall be most holy to you.
  2. "The incense which you shall make, you shall not make in the same proportions for yourselves; it shall be holy to you for the LORD.
  3. "Whoever shall make any like it, to use as perfume, shall be cut off from his people."
  1. Grind some of it to powder and place it in front of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you.
  2. Do not make any incense with this formula for yourselves; consider it holy to the LORD.
  3. Whoever makes any like it to enjoy its fragrance must be cut off from his people."

  1. Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  2. "See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
  3. "I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship,
  4. to make artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in bronze,
  5. and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, that he may work in all kinds of craftsmanship.
  1. Then the LORD said to Moses,
  2. "See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
  3. and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-
  4. to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,
  5. to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.
  1. "And behold, I Myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all who are skillful I have put skill, that they may make all that I have commanded you:
  2. the tent of meeting, and the ark of testimony, and the mercy seat upon it, and all the furniture of the tent,
  3. the table also and its utensils, and the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense,
  4. the altar of burnt offering also with all its utensils, and the laver and its stand,
  5. the woven garments as well, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, with which to carry on their priesthood;
  1. Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given skill to all the craftsmen to make everything I have commanded you:
  2. the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent-
  3. the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense,
  4. the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin with its stand-
  5. and also the woven garments, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests,
  1. the anointing oil also, and the fragrant incense for the holy place, they are to make them according to all that I have commanded you."
  2. The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  3. "But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'You shall surely observe My sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.
  4. 'Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
  5. 'For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death.
  1. and the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them just as I commanded you."
  2. Then the LORD said to Moses,
  3. "Say to the Israelites, 'You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.
  4. " 'Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.
  5. For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
  1. 'So the sons of Israel shall observe the sabbath, to celebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.'
  2. "It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed."
  3. When He had finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.
  1. The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.
  2. It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested.' "
  3. When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
