신명기 15:1-16:22

 모세는 이스라엘 백성에게 매7년마다 돌아오는 안식년에 지킬 규례에 대해서 언급한 후, 가난한 자들을 적극적으로 구제할 것을 권면했다. 그리고 이스라엘의 3대 절기인 유월절, 칠칠절, 초막절을 지킬 것과 공정한 재판을 위해 재판장과 유사를 세울 것을 명령했다.
  
  안식년에 대한 규례(15:1-15:23)    
 
  1. "At the end of every seven years you shall grant a remission of debts.
  2. "This is the manner of remission: every creditor shall release what he has loaned to his neighbor; he shall not exact it of his neighbor and his brother, because the LORD'S remission has been proclaimed.
  3. "From a foreigner you may exact it, but your hand shall release whatever of yours is with your brother.
  4. "However, there will be no poor among you, since the LORD will surely bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance to possess,
  5. if only you listen obediently to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all this commandment which I am commanding you today.
  1. "매 칠 년 끝에는 빚을 면제하여 주십시오.
  2. 면제 규례는 이러합니다. 누구든지 이웃에게 돈을 꾸어 준 사람은 그 빚을 면제하여 주십시오. 주님께서 면제를 선포하였기 때문에 이웃이나 동족에게 빚을 갚으라고 다그쳐서는 안 됩니다.
  3. 이방 사람에게 준 빚은 갚으라고 할 수 있으나, 당신들의 동족에게 준 빚은 면제해 주어야 합니다.
  4. 당신들 가운데 가난한 사람이 없게 하십시오. 그러면 주 당신들의 하나님이 당신들에게 유산으로 주어 차지하게 하시는 땅에서 당신들이 참으로 복을 받을 것입니다.
  5. 주 당신들의 하나님의 말씀을 잘 듣고, 오늘 내가 당신들에게 명한 이 모든 명령을 다 지키면,
  1. "For the LORD your God will bless you as He has promised you, and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; and you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.
  2. "If there is a poor man with you, one of your brothers, in any of your towns in your land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand from your poor brother;
  3. but you shall freely open your hand to him, and shall generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks.
  4. "Beware that there is no base thought in your heart, saying, 'The seventh year, the year of remission, is near,' and your eye is hostile toward your poor brother, and you give him nothing; then he may cry to the LORD against you, and it will be a sin in you.
  5. "You shall generously give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings.
  1. 주 당신들의 하나님이 당신들에게 말씀하신 대로 복을 내려 주실 것입니다. 당신들이 많은 민족에게 돈을 꾸어 주기는 하겠지만 꾸지는 않겠고, 또 당신들이 많은 민족을 다스리기는 하겠지만 다스림을 받지는 않을 것입니다.
  2. 주 당신들의 하나님이 당신들에게 주시는 땅의 어느 한 성읍 가운데에 가난한 동족이 살고 있거든, 당신들은 그를 인색한 마음으로 대하지 마십시오. 그 가난한 동족에게 베풀지 않으려고 당신들의 손을 움켜 쥐지 마십시오.
  3. 반드시 당신들의 손을 그에게 펴서, 그가 필요한 만큼 넉넉하게 꾸어 주십시오.
  4. 당신들은 삼가서 마음에 악한 생각을 품지 마십시오. 빚을 면제하여 주는 해인 일곱째 해가 가까이 왔다고 해서, 인색한 마음으로 가난한 동족을 냉대하며, 아무것도 꾸어 주지 않아서는 안 됩니다. 그가 당신들을 걸어 주님께 호소하면, 당신들이 죄인이 될 것입니다.
  5. 당신들은 반드시 그에게 꾸어 주고, 줄 때에는 아깝다는 생각을 하지 마십시오. 그러면 주 당신들의 하나님이 당신들이 하는 모든 일과 당신들이 손을 대는 모든 일에 복을 내려 주실 것입니다.
  1. "For the poor will never cease to be in the land; therefore I command you, saying, 'You shall freely open your hand to your brother, to your needy and poor in your land.'
  2. "If your kinsman, a Hebrew man or woman, is sold to you, then he shall serve you six years, but in the seventh year you shall set him free.
  3. "When you set him free, you shall not send him away empty-handed.
  4. "You shall furnish him liberally from your flock and from your threshing floor and from your wine vat; you shall give to him as the LORD your God has blessed you.
  5. "You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this today.
  1. 당신들은 반드시 손을 뻗어, 당신들의 땅에서 사는 가난하고 궁핍한 동족을 도와주십시오. 그렇다고 하여, 당신들이 사는 땅에서 가난한 사람이 없어지지는 않겠지만, 이것은 내가 당신들에게 내리는 명령입니다."

  1. "It shall come about if he says to you, 'I will not go out from you,' because he loves you and your household, since he fares well with you;
  2. then you shall take an awl and pierce it through his ear into the door, and he shall be your servant forever. Also you shall do likewise to your maidservant.
  3. "It shall not seem hard to you when you set him free, for he has given you six years with double the service of a hired man; so the LORD your God will bless you in whatever you do.
  4. "You shall consecrate to the LORD your God all the firstborn males that are born of your herd and of your flock; you shall not work with the firstborn of your herd, nor shear the firstborn of your flock.
  5. "You and your household shall eat it every year before the LORD your God in the place which the LORD chooses.
  1. 그러나 그 종이 당신들과 당신들의 가족을 사랑하고, 당신들과 함께 있는 것을 좋아하여 '나는 이 집을 떠나가지 않겠습니다' 하고 당신들에게 말하거든,

  1. "But if it has any defect, such as lameness or blindness, or any serious defect, you shall not sacrifice it to the LORD your God.
  2. "You shall eat it within your gates; the unclean and the clean alike may eat it, as a gazelle or a deer.
  3. "Only you shall not eat its blood; you are to pour it out on the ground like water.
  1. 그 짐승에 흠이 있어서, 다리를 절거나, 눈을 못 보거나, 그 밖에 무슨 흠이 있으면, 그것은 주 당신들의 하나님께 잡아 바치지 못합니다.
  2. 그런 경우에는, 노루나 사슴을 잡아먹듯이, 정한 사람이든지 부정한 사람이든지 모두 성 안에서 그것들을 잡아먹을 수 있습니다.
  3. 그러나 피는 먹지 말고, 물처럼 땅에 쏟아 버려야 합니다."
 
  이스라엘의 절기(16:1-16:22)    
 
  1. "Observe the month of Abib and celebrate the Passover to the LORD your God, for in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you out of Egypt by night.
  2. "You shall sacrifice the Passover to the LORD your God from the flock and the herd, in the place where the LORD chooses to establish His name.
  3. "You shall not eat leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat with it unleavened bread, the bread of affliction (for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), so that you may remember all the days of your life the day when you came out of the land of Egypt.
  4. "For seven days no leaven shall be seen with you in all your territory, and none of the flesh which you sacrifice on the evening of the first day shall remain overnight until morning.
  5. "You are not allowed to sacrifice the Passover in any of your towns which the LORD your God is giving you;
  1. "당신들은 아빕월을 지켜 주 당신들의 하나님께 유월절 제사를 드려야 합니다. 이는 아빕월 어느 날 밤에, 주 당신들의 하나님이 당신들을 이집트에서 건져 내셨기 때문입니다.
  2. 당신들은 주님께서 자기의 이름을 두려고 택하신 그 곳에서 양과 소를 잡아, 주 당신들의 하나님께 유월절 제물로 바쳐야 합니다.

  5. 유월절 제사는, 주 당신들의 하나님이 당신들에게 주시는 성읍이라 해서, 아무데서나 다 드릴 수 있는 것은 아닙니다.
  1. but at the place where the LORD your God chooses to establish His name, you shall sacrifice the Passover in the evening at sunset, at the time that you came out of Egypt.
  2. "You shall cook and eat it in the place which the LORD your God chooses. In the morning you are to return to your tents.
  3. "Six days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD your God; you shall do no work on it.
  4. "You shall count seven weeks for yourself; you shall begin to count seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain.
  5. "Then you shall celebrate the Feast of Weeks to the LORD your God with a tribute of a freewill offering of your hand, which you shall give just as the LORD your God blesses you;
  1. 유월절 제물로 드릴 것은, 당신들의 주 하나님께서 자기의 이름을 두려고 택하신 곳에서만 잡을 수 있으며, 잡는 때는 당신들이 이집트를 떠난 바로 그 시각 곧 초저녁 해가 질 무렵입니다.
  2. 주 당신들의 하나님이 택하신 곳에서 고기를 구워서 먹고, 아침이 되면 당신들의 장막으로 돌아가십시오.

  1. and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you and your son and your daughter and your male and female servants and the Levite who is in your town, and the stranger and the orphan and the widow who are in your midst, in the place where the LORD your God chooses to establish His name.
  2. "You shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and you shall be careful to observe these statutes.
  3. "You shall celebrate the Feast of Booths seven days after you have gathered in from your threshing floor and your wine vat;
  4. and you shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter and your male and female servants and the Levite and the stranger and the orphan and the widow who are in your towns.
  5. "Seven days you shall celebrate a feast to the LORD your God in the place which the LORD chooses, because the LORD your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you will be altogether joyful.
  1. 당신들은 주 당신들의 하나님이 그의 이름을 두려고 택하신 그 곳에서, 당신들과 당신들의 아들과 딸과 남종과 여종과, 성 안에서 같이 사는 레위 사람과 떠돌이와 고아와 과부까지도 함께 주 당신들의 하나님 앞에서 즐거워해야 합니다.
  2. 당신들은 이집트에서 종살이하던 것을 기억하고, 이 모든 규례를 어김없이 잘 지키십시오."
  3. "당신들은 타작 마당과 포도주 틀에서 소출을 거두어들일 때에, 이레 동안 초막절을 지켜야 합니다.
  4. 당신들은 이 절기에 당신들과 당신들의 아들과 딸과 남종과 여종과 성 안에서 같이 사는 레위 사람과 떠돌이와 고아와 과부까지도 함께 즐거워해야 합니다.
  5. 당신들은 주 당신들의 하나님이 택하신 곳에서 이레 동안 초막절을 지켜야 합니다. 당신들은, 주 당신들의 하나님이 당신들의 모든 소출과 당신들이 손을 댄 모든 일에 복을 주셨기 때문에 즐거워하는 것입니다.
  1. "Three times in a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of Weeks and at the Feast of Booths, and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed.
  2. "Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you.
  3. "You shall appoint for yourself judges and officers in all your towns which the LORD your God is giving you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.
  4. "You shall not distort justice; you shall not be partial, and you shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.
  5. "Justice, and only justice, you shall pursue, that you may live and possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you.
  1. 모든 남자는 한 해에 세 번, 무교절과 칠칠절과 초막절에, 주 당신들의 하나님이 택하신 곳으로 가서 주님을 뵈어야 합니다. 그러나 빈 손으로 주님을 뵈러 가서는 안 됩니다.
  2. 저마다 주 당신들의 하나님으로부터 받은 복에 따라서 그 힘대로 예물을 가지고 나아가야 합니다."
  3. "당신들은 주 당신들의 하나님이 각 지파에게 주시는 모든 성읍에 재판관과 지도자를 두어, 백성에게 공정한 재판을 하도록 하십시오.
  4. 당신들은 재판에서 공정성을 잃어서도 안 되고, 사람의 얼굴을 보아주어서도 안 되며, 재판관이 뇌물을 받아서도 안 됩니다. 뇌물은 지혜 있는 사람의 눈을 어둡게 하고, 죄 없는 사람을 죄인으로 만듭니다.
  5. 당신들은 오직 정의만을 따라야 합니다. 그래야만 당신들이 살고, 주 당신들의 하나님이 당신들에게 주시는 땅을 당신들이 차지할 것입니다.
  1. "You shall not plant for yourself an Asherah of any kind of tree beside the altar of the LORD your God, which you shall make for yourself.
  2. "You shall not set up for yourself a sacred pillar which the LORD your God hates.
  1. 당신들은, 당신들이 만든 주 당신들의 하나님의 제단 옆에, 어떤 나무로라도 아세라 목상을 만들어 세워서는 안 됩니다.
  2. 그리고 주 당신들의 하나님이 미워하시는 석상을 만들어 세워서도 안 됩니다.
