	이사야 17:1-19:25 이사야는 다메섹의 심판을 경고하면서, 구원의 하나님을 잊어버린 다메섹과 에브라임, 그리고 우상 숭배한 애굽이 멸망하게 될 것이라고 하였다. 그리고 야웨의 날에 애굽과 앗수르와 이스라엘로 대표되는 전 세계가 하나님께 돌아옴으로써 복을 받게 될 것이라고 예언하였다.

	다메섹에 대한 경고(17:1-17:14)

The oracle concerning Damascus "Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city And will become a fallen ruin.

"The cities of Aroer are forsaken; They will be for flocks to lie down in, And there will be no one to frighten them.

"The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim, And sovereignty from Damascus And the remnant of Aram; They will be like the glory of the sons of Israel," Declares the LORD of hosts.

Now in that day the glory of Jacob will fade, And the fatness of his flesh will become lean.

It will be even like the reaper gathering the standing grain, As his arm harvests the ears, Or it will be like one gleaning ears of grain In the valley of Rephaim.

ダマスコについての託宣．「見よ，ダマスコは都の面影を失い／瓦ラの山となる．

アロエルの町¿は見捨てられ／家畜の群れが伏し，脅かすものもない．

エフライムからは砦が／ダマスコからは王權が絶える．アラムに殘るものは／イスラエルの人¿の榮光のようになる」と／万軍の主は言われる．

「その日が來れば，ヤコブの力は弱まり／その肥えた肉はやせ衰える．

刈り入れる者の集めた立ち枯れの穗／その腕に集めた落ち穗／レファイムの谷で拾った落ち穗のようになる．

Yet gleanings will be left in it like the shaking of an olive tree, Two or three olives on the topmost bough, Four or five on the branches of a fruitful tree, Declares the LORD, the God of Israel.

In that day man will have regard for his Maker And his eyes will look to the Holy One of Israel.

He will not have regard for the altars, the work of his hands, Nor will he look to that which his fingers have made, Even the Asherim and incense stands.

In that day their strong cities will be like forsaken places in the forest, Or like branches which they abandoned before the sons of Israel; And the land will be a desolation.

For you have forgotten the God of your salvation And have not remembered the rock of your refuge. Therefore you plant delightful plants And set them with vine slips of a strange god.

摘み殘りしかないのに／オリ ― ブの木を打つようなものだ．梢の方に二つ三つの實／豊かに實っている枝でも，四つ五つ」と／イスラエルの神，主は言われる．

その日には，人は造り主を仰ぎ，その目をイスラエルの聖なる方に注ぐ．

もはや，自分の手が作り，自分の指が作った祭壇を仰ぐことなく，アシェラの柱や香爐台を見ようとはしない．

その日には，彼らの砦の町¿は，イスラエルの人¿によって見捨てられた木の枝や梢のように，捨てられて廢虛となる．

お前は救い主である神を忘れ去り／砦と賴む岩を心に留めていない．それなら，お前の好む神¿にささげる園を造り／異敎の神にささげるぶどうの枝を根付かせてみよ．

In the day that you plant it you carefully fence it in, And in the morning you bring your seed to blossom; But the harvest will be a heap In a day of sickliness and incurable pain.

Alas, the uproar of many peoples Who roar like the roaring of the seas, And the rumbling of nations Who rush on like the rumbling of mighty waters!

The nations rumble on like the rumbling of many waters, But He will rebuke them and they will flee far away, And be chased like chaff in the mountains before the wind, Or like whirling dust before a gale.

At evening time, behold, there is terror! Before morning they are no more. Such will be the portion of those who plunder us And the lot of those who pillage us.

ある日，園を造り，成長させ／ある朝，種を蒔き，芽生えさせてみても／ある日，病といやし難い痛みが臨み／收穫は消えうせる．

災いだ，多くの民がどよめく／どよめく海のどよめきのように．國¿が ¿ぎ立つ／¿ぎ立つ大水の ¿ぎのように．

國¿は，多くの水が ¿ぐように ¿ぎ立つ．だが，主が叱咤されると彼らは遠くへ逃げる／山の上で，もみ殼が大風に／枯れ葉がつむじ風に追われるように．

夕べには，見よ，破滅が襲い／夜の明ける前に消えうせる．これが我¿を略奪する者の受ける分／我¿を强奪する者の運命だ．

	구스, 애굽에 대한 경고(18:1-19:25)

Alas, oh land of whirring wings Which lies beyond the rivers of Cush,

Which sends envoys by the sea, Even in papyrus vessels on the surface of the waters Go, swift messengers, to a nation tall and smooth, To a people feared far and wide, A powerful and oppressive nation Whose land the rivers divide.

All you inhabitants of the world and dwellers on earth, As soon as a standard is raised on the mountains, you will see it, And as soon as the trumpet is blown, you will hear it.

For thus the LORD has told me, "I will look from My dwelling place quietly Like dazzling heat in the sunshine, Like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest."

For before the harvest, as soon as the bud blossoms And the flower becomes a ripening grape, Then He will cut off the sprigs with pruning knives And remove and cut away the spreading branches.

災いだ，遠くクシュの川のかなたで／羽の音を立てている國は．

彼らは，パピルスの舟を水に浮かべ／海を渡って使節を遣わす．行け，足の速い使者たちよ．背高く，肌の滑らかな國／遠くの地でも恐れられている民へ．强い力で踏みにじる國／幾筋もの川で區切られている國へ．

世界の住民，地上に住むすべての人よ／山に合圖の旗が立てられたら，見るがよい／角笛が吹き鳴らされたら，聞くがよい．

主はわたしにこう言われた．「わたしは默して／わたしの住む所から，目を注ごう．太陽よりも烈しく輝く熱のように／暑い刈り入れ時を脅かす雨雲のように．」

刈り入れ時の前に，花が終わり／花の房が實となり，熟し始めると／主は枝を刃物で切り落とし／つるを折り，取り去られる．

They will be left together for mountain birds of prey, And for the beasts of the earth; And the birds of prey will spend the summer feeding on them, And all the beasts of the earth will spend harvest time on them.

At that time a gift of homage will be brought to the LORD of hosts From a people tall and smooth, Even from a people feared far and wide, A powerful and oppressive nation, Whose land the rivers divide-- To the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, even Mount Zion.

それはすべて，山の猛禽と野の ¿に與えられる．猛禽は，それを餌として夏を過ごし／野¿もすべて，それを餌として冬を過ごす．

そのとき，貢ぎ物が万軍の主にもたらされる．背高く，肌の滑らかな民から／遠くの地でも恐れられている民から／强い力で踏みにじる國／幾筋もの川で區切られている國から／万軍の主の名が置かれた場所／シオンの山へもたらされる．

The oracle concerning Egypt Behold, the LORD is riding on a swift cloud and is about to come to Egypt; The idols of Egypt will tremble at His presence, And the heart of the Egyptians will melt within them.

"So I will incite Egyptians against Egyptians; And they will each fight against his brother and each against his neighbor, City against city and kingdom against kingdom.

"Then the spirit of the Egyptians will be demoralized within them; And I will confound their strategy, So that they will resort to idols and ghosts of the dead And to mediums and spiritists.

"Moreover, I will deliver the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel master, And a mighty king will rule over them," declares the Lord GOD of hosts.

The waters from the sea will dry up, And the river will be parched and dry.

エジプトについての託宣．見よ，主は速い雲を驅って／エジプトに來られる．主の御前に，エジプトの偶像はよろめき／エジプト人の勇氣は，全く失われる．

「わたしは，エジプトをエジプトに刃向かわせる．人はその兄弟と，人はその隣人と／町は町と，國は國と戰う．

エジプト人の思いは，胸の中に亂れる．わたしが，その謀を亂すので／彼らは，偶像と死者の靈／口寄せと靈媒に指示を求める．

わたしは，エジプトを／過酷な支配者の手に渡す．嚴しい王が，彼らを治める」と／万軍の主なる神が言われる．

海の水は ¿れ／川の流れは盡きて干上がる．

The canals will emit a stench, The streams of Egypt will thin out and dry up; The reeds and rushes will rot away.

The bulrushes by the Nile, by the edge of the Nile And all the sown fields by the Nile Will become dry, be driven away, and be no more.

And the fishermen will lament, And all those who cast a line into the Nile will mourn, And those who spread nets on the waters will pine away.

Moreover, the manufacturers of linen made from combed flax And the weavers of white cloth will be utterly dejected.

And the pillars of Egypt will be crushed; All the hired laborers will be grieved in soul.

運河は惡臭を放ち／下エジプトの支流は細り，乾いて／葦やよしも枯れ果てる．

ナイルの河口のいぐさも／川沿いに蒔かれたすべての草も／枯れ，吹き飛ばされて，消えうせる．

漁師は嘆き，悲しむ．ナイルに釣り針を投げる者も／水の面に網を廣げる者もすべて衰える．

亞麻布を造る者はうろたえ／梳く女も，織る男も靑ざめ

紡ぐ者も打ちのめされ／雇われて ¿く者は皆，苦しむ．

The princes of Zoan are mere fools; The advice of Pharaoh's wisest advisers has become stupid How can you men say to Pharaoh, "I am a son of the wise, a son of ancient kings"?

Well then, where are your wise men? Please let them tell you, And let them understand what the LORD of hosts Has purposed against Egypt.

The princes of Zoan have acted foolishly, The princes of Memphis are deluded; Those who are the cornerstone of her tribes Have led Egypt astray.

The LORD has mixed within her a spirit of distortion; They have led Egypt astray in all that it does, As a drunken man staggers in his vomit.

There will be no work for Egypt Which its head or tail, its palm branch or bulrush, may do.

ツォアンの司たちは，まことに無知だ．ファラオの賢者，參議らは，愚かな謀を立てる．どうして，お前たちはファラオに言えようか．「わたしは賢者の子です／遠い昔の王たちの子孫です」と．

どこにいるのか，お前の賢者たちは．彼らに命じて，お前に告げ知らせよ／万軍の主が，エジプトについて定められたことを．

ツォアンの司たちは愚かである．メンフィスの司らは欺かれ／諸州の長はエジプトをよろめかせた．

In that day the Egyptians will become like women, and they will tremble and be in dread because of the waving of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which He is going to wave over them.

The land of Judah will become a terror to Egypt; everyone to whom it is mentioned will be in dread of it, because of the purpose of the LORD of hosts which He is purposing against them.

In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will be speaking the language of Canaan and swearing allegiance to the LORD of hosts; one will be called the City of Destruction.

In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the LORD near its border.

It will become a sign and a witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the LORD because of oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Champion, and He will deliver them.

その日には，エジプトは女のように弱くなり，万軍の主が振りかざされる御手に恐れおののく．

ユダの地は，エジプトを混亂に陷れるものとなる．それを思わせるものは何であれ，エジプトを恐れさせる．万軍の主がエジプトに對して事を謀られるからである．

その日には，エジプトの地に五つの町ができる．そこでは，カナンの言葉が語られ，万軍の主に誓いが立てられる．その町の一つは，「太陽の町」ととなえられる．

その日には，エジプトの地の中心に，主のために祭壇が建てられ，その境には主のために柱が立てられる．

それは，エジプトの地において，万軍の主を指し示すしるしとなり，證しとなる．もし彼らが，抑壓する者のゆえに，主に叫ぶならば，主は彼らのために救助者を送り，彼らを救われる．

Thus the LORD will make Himself known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the LORD in that day. They will even worship with sacrifice and offering, and will make a vow to the LORD and perform it.

The LORD will strike Egypt, striking but healing; so they will return to the LORD, and He will respond to them and will heal them.

In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrians will come into Egypt and the Egyptians into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.

In that day Israel will be the third party with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth,

whom the LORD of hosts has blessed, saying, "Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance."

主は御自身をエジプト人に示される．その日には，エジプト人は主を知り，いけにえと供え物をささげ，また主に誓願を立てて，誓いの供え物をささげるであろう．

主は，必ずエジプトを擊たれる．しかしまた，いやされる．彼らは主に立ち歸り，主は彼らの願いを聞き，彼らをいやされる．

その日には，エジプトからアッシリアまで道が敷かれる．アッシリア人はエジプトに行き，エジプト人はアッシリアに行き，エジプト人とアッシリア人は共に禮拜する．
