- 僞りの 證人は 罰を 免れない． まやかしを 吹聽する 者は 滅びる．
- 愚かな 者にぜいたくな 暮らしはふさわしくない． 奴隷が 主人を 支配するのは， なおさらのこと．
- 人に 思慮があれば， 怒りをおそくする． その 人の 光榮は， そむきを 赦すことである．
- 王の 激しい 怒りは 若い 獅子がうなるよう． しかし， その 惠みは 草の 上に 置く 露のよう．
