민수기 31:1-31:54

 하나님께서 미디안 정복을 명령하시자 이스라엘 자손들은 군대를 파견하여 그들을 정복하였다. 전쟁에서 돌아온 군인들은 모세를 통해 하나님께서 말씀하시는 대로 정결 예식을 거행하였고, 전쟁에서 탈취한 약탈품들을 지시에 따라 분배하였다.
  
  미디안 정복(31:1-31:54)    
 
  1. The LORD said to Moses,
  2. "Take vengeance on the Midianites for the Israelites. After that, you will be gathered to your people."
  3. So Moses said to the people, "Arm some of your men to go to war against the Midianites and to carry out the LORD's vengeance on them.
  4. Send into battle a thousand men from each of the tribes of Israel."
  5. So twelve thousand men armed for battle, a thousand from each tribe, were supplied from the clans of Israel.
  1. 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
  2. 이스라엘 자손의 원수를 미디안에게 갚으라 그 후에 네가 네 조상에게로 돌아가리라
  3. 모세가 백성에게 일러 가로되 너희 중에서 사람을 택하여 싸움에 나갈 준비를 시키고 미디안을 치러 보내어서 여호와의 원수를 미디안에게 갚되
  4. 이스라엘 모든 지파에 대하여 각 지파에서 일천인씩을 싸움에 보낼찌니라 하매
  5. 매 지파에서 일천인씩 이스라엘 천만인 중에서 일만 이천인을 택하여 무장을 시킨지라
  1. Moses sent them into battle, a thousand from each tribe, along with Phinehas son of Eleazar, the priest, who took with him articles from the sanctuary and the trumpets for signaling.
  2. They fought against Midian, as the LORD commanded Moses, and killed every man.
  3. Among their victims were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba--the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword.
  4. The Israelites captured the Midianite women and children and took all the Midianite herds, flocks and goods as plunder.
  5. They burned all the towns where the Midianites had settled, as well as all their camps.
  1. 모세가 매 지파에 일천인씩 싸움에 보내되 제사장 엘르아살의 아들 비느하스에게 성소의 기구와 신호 나팔을 들려서 그들과 함께 싸움에 보내매
  2. 그들이 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 미디안을 쳐서 그 남자를 다 죽였고
  3. 그 죽인 자 외에 미디안의 다섯 왕을 죽였으니 미디안의 왕들은 에위와 레겜과 수르와 후르와 레바이며 또 브올의 아들 발람을 칼로 죽였더라
  4. 이스라엘 자손이 미디안의 부녀들과 그 아이들을 사로잡고 그 가축과 양떼와 재물을 다 탈취하고
  5. 그 거처하는 성읍들과 촌락을 다 불사르고
  1. They took all the plunder and spoils, including the people and animals,
  2. and brought the captives, spoils and plunder to Moses and Eleazar the priest and the Israelite assembly at their camp on the plains of Moab, by the Jordan across from Jericho.
  3. Moses, Eleazar the priest and all the leaders of the community went to meet them outside the camp.
  4. Moses was angry with the officers of the army--the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds--who returned from the battle.
  5. "Have you allowed all the women to live?" he asked them.
  1. 탈취한것, 노략한것, 사람과 짐승을 다 취하니라
  2. 그들이 사로잡은 자와 노략한 것과 탈취한 것을 가지고 여리고 맞은편 요단 가 모압 평지의 진에 이르러 모세와 제사장 엘르아살과 이스라엘 자손의 회중에게로 나아오니라
  3. 모세와 제사장 엘르아살과 회중의 족장들이 다 진 밖에 나가서 영접하다가
  4. 모세가 군대의 장관 곧 싸움에서 돌아온 천부장들과 백부장들에게 노하니라
  5. 모세가 그들에게 이르되 너희가 여자들을 다 살려두었느냐
  1. "They were the ones who followed Balaam's advice and were the means of turning the Israelites away from the LORD in what happened at Peor, so that a plague struck the LORD's people.
  2. Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man,
  3. but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.
  4. "All of you who have killed anyone or touched anyone who was killed must stay outside the camp seven days. On the third and seventh days you must purify yourselves and your captives.
  5. Purify every garment as well as everything made of leather, goat hair or wood."
  1. 보라 이들이 발람의 꾀를 좇아 이스라엘 자손으로 브올의 사건에 여호와 앞에 범죄케하여 여호와의 회중에 염병이 일어나게 하였느니라
  2. 그러므로 아이들 중에 남자는 다 죽이고 남자와 동침하여 사내를 안 여자는 다 죽이고
  3. 남자와 동침하지 아니하여 사내를 알지 못하는 여자들은 다 너희를 위하여 살려 둘것이니라
  4. 너희는 칠일 동안 진 밖에 주둔하라 무릇 살인자나 죽임을 당한 시체를 만진 자나 제 삼일과 제 칠일에 몸을 깨끗케 하고 너희의 포로도 깨끗케 할 것이며
  5. 무릇 의복과 무릇 가죽으로 만든 것과 무릇 염소털로 만든 것과 무릇 나무로 만든 것을 다 깨끗케 할찌니라
  1. Then Eleazar the priest said to the soldiers who had gone into battle, "This is the requirement of the law that the LORD gave Moses:
  2. Gold, silver, bronze, iron, tin, lead
  3. and anything else that can withstand fire must be put through the fire, and then it will be clean. But it must also be purified with the water of cleansing. And whatever cannot withstand fire must be put through that water.
  4. On the seventh day wash your clothes and you will be clean. Then you may come into the camp."
  5. The LORD said to Moses,
  1. 제사장 엘르아살이 싸움에 나갔던 군인들에게 이르되 이는 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 법률이니라
  2. 금, 은, 동, 철과 상납과 납의
  3. 무릇 불에 견딜만한 물건은 불을 지나게 하라 그리하면 깨끗하려니와 오히려 정결케 하는 물로 그것을 깨끗케 할 것이며 무릇 불에 견디지 못할 모든 것은 물을 지나게 할 것이니라
  4. 너희는 제 칠일에 옷을 빨아서 깨끗케 한 후에 진에 들어올찌니라
  5. 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
  1. "You and Eleazar the priest and the family heads of the community are to count all the people and animals that were captured.
  2. Divide the spoils between the soldiers who took part in the battle and the rest of the community.
  3. From the soldiers who fought in the battle, set apart as tribute for the LORD one out of every five hundred, whether persons, cattle, donkeys, sheep or goats.
  4. Take this tribute from their half share and give it to Eleazar the priest as the LORD's part.
  5. From the Israelites' half, select one out of every fifty, whether persons, cattle, donkeys, sheep, goats or other animals. Give them to the Levites, who are responsible for the care of the LORD's tabernacle."
  1. 너는 제사장 엘르아살과 회중의 족장들로 더불어 이 탈취한 사람과 짐승을 계수하고
  2. 그 얻은 물건을 반분하여 그 절반은 싸움에 나갔던 군인들에게 주고 절반은 회중에게 주고
  3. 싸움에 나갔던 군인들로는 사람이나 소나 나귀나 양떼의 오백분지 일을 여호와께 드리게 하되
  4. 곧 이를 그들의 절반에서 취하여 여호와의 거제로 제사장 엘르아살에게 주고
  5. 또 이스라엘 자손의 얻은 절반에서는 사람이나 소나 나귀나 양떼나 각종 짐승을 오십분지 일을 취하여 여호와의 성막을 맡은 레위인에게 주라
  1. So Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.
  2. The plunder remaining from the spoils that the soldiers took was 675,000 sheep,
  3. 72,000 cattle,
  4. 61,000 donkeys
  5. and 32,000 women who had never slept with a man.
  1. 모세와 제사장 엘르아살이 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신대로 하니라
  2. 그 탈취물 곧 군인들의 다른 탈취물 외에 양이 육십 칠만 오천이요
  3. 소가 칠만 이천이요
  4. 나귀가 육만 일천이요
  5. 사람은 남자와 동침하지 아니하여서 사내를 알지 못하는 여자가 도합 삼만 이천이니
  1. The half share of those who fought in the battle was: 337,500 sheep,
  2. of which the tribute for the LORD was 675;
  3. 36,000 cattle, of which the tribute for the LORD was 72;
  4. 30,500 donkeys, of which the tribute for the LORD was 61;
  5. 16,000 people, of which the tribute for the LORD was 32.
  1. 그 절반 곧 싸움에 나갔던 자들의 소유가 양이 삼십 삼만 칠천 오백이라
  2. 여호와께 세로 드린 양이 육백 칠십 오요
  3. 소가 삼만 육천이라 그 중에서 여호와께 세로 드린 것이 칠십 이두요
  4. 나귀가 삼만 오백이라 그 중에서 여호와께 세로 드린 것이 육십 일이요
  5. 사람이 일만 육천이라 그 중에서 여호와께 세로 드리운 자가 삼십 이명이니
  1. Moses gave the tribute to Eleazar the priest as the LORD's part, as the LORD commanded Moses.
  2. The half belonging to the Israelites, which Moses set apart from that of the fighting men-
  3. the community's half--was 337,500 sheep,
  4. 36,000 cattle,
  5. 30,500 donkeys
  1. 여호와께 거제의 세로 드린 것을 모세가 제사장 엘르아살에게 주었으니 여호와께서 모세에게 명하심과 같았더라
  2. 모세가 싸움에 나갔던 자에게서 나누어 취하여 이스라엘 자손에게 준 절반
  3. 곧 회중의 얻은 절반은 양이 삼십 삼만 칠천 오백이요
  4. 소가 삼만 육천이요
  5. 나귀가 삼만 오백이요
  1. and 16,000 people.
  2. From the Israelites' half, Moses selected one out of every fifty persons and animals, as the LORD commanded him, and gave them to the Levites, who were responsible for the care of the LORD's tabernacle.
  3. Then the officers who were over the units of the army--the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds--went to Moses
  4. and said to him, "Your servants have counted the soldiers under our command, and not one is missing.
  5. So we have brought as an offering to the LORD the gold articles each of us acquired--armlets, bracelets, signet rings, earrings and necklaces--to make atonement for ourselves before the LORD."
  1. 사람이 일만 육천이라
  2. 이스라엘 자손의 그 절반에서 모세가 사람이나 짐승의 오십분지 일을 취하여 여호와의 장막을 맡은 레위인에게 주었으니 여호와께서 모세에게 명하심과 같았더라
  3. 군대의 장관들 곧 천부장과 백부장들이 모세에게 나아와서
  4. 그에게 고하되 당신의 종들의 영솔한 군인을 계수한즉 우리중 한 사람도 축나지 아니하였기로
  5. 우리 각 사람의 얻은바 금 패물 곧 발목고리, 손목고리, 인장반지, 귀고리, 팔고리들을 여호와의 예물로 우리의 생명을 위하여 여호와 앞에 속죄하려고 가져왔나이다
  1. Moses and Eleazar the priest accepted from them the gold--all the crafted articles.
  2. All the gold from the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds that Moses and Eleazar presented as a gift to the LORD weighed 16,750 shekels.
  3. Each soldier had taken plunder for himself.
  4. Moses and Eleazar the priest accepted the gold from the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds and brought it into the Tent of Meeting as a memorial for the Israelites before the LORD.
  1. 모세와 제사장 엘르아살이 그들에게서 그 금으로 만든 모든 패물을 취한즉
  2. 천부장과 백부장들이 여호와께 드린 거제의 금의 도합이 일만 육천 칠백 오십 세겔이니
  3. 군인들이 각기 자기를 위하여 탈취한 것이니라
  4. 모세와 제사장 엘르아살이 천부장과 백부장들에게서 금을 취하여 회막에 들여서 여호와 앞에 이스라엘 자손의 기념을 삼았더라
