다니엘 8:1-9:27

 벨사살 왕 3년에 다니엘은 숫양과 수염소 및 작은 뿔의 환상을 보고 천사 가브리엘로부터 그 환상에 대한 해석을 들었다. 다리오 왕 원년에 이스라엘의 포로 기간이 70년이라 기록된 예레미야 예언의 책을 본 다니엘은 그 연수가 되었다는 것을 깨닫고 민족을 위해 금식하며 기도하였다. 이 기도 중에 다니엘은 ‘70이레’의 예언을 받았다.
  
  다니엘의 두번째 환상(8:1-8:27)    
 
  1. In the third year of King Belshazzar's reign, I, Daniel, had a vision, after the one that had already appeared to me.
  2. In my vision I saw myself in the citadel of Susa in the province of Elam; in the vision I was beside the Ulai Canal.
  3. I looked up, and there before me was a ram with two horns, standing beside the canal, and the horns were long. One of the horns was longer than the other but grew up later.
  4. I watched the ram as he charged toward the west and the north and the south. No animal could stand against him, and none could rescue from his power. He did as he pleased and became great.
  5. As I was thinking about this, suddenly a goat with a prominent horn between his eyes came from the west, crossing the whole earth without touching the ground.
  1. 일찍이 환상을 본 나 다니엘은 벨사살 왕 제삼년에 또 다른 환상을 보았다.
  2. 내 눈앞에 이상한 광경이 나타났는데, 그것을 본 것은 내가 엘람 지방의 요충지인 수사의 울래 강 가에 있을 때였다.
  3. 내가 눈여겨보니 강가에 숫양 한 마리가 서 있었다. 그 숫양은 긴 뿔이 두 개 돋아 있었는데, 그 중에서 나중 나온 뿔이 더 길었다.
  4. 그 숫양이 뿔을 휘두르며 서쪽, 북쪽, 남쪽으로 치닫는데 어느 짐승도 그 숫양을 당해 낼 수가 없었고 거기에서 빠져 나올 수가 없었다. 그 숫양은 제멋대로 날뛰며 스스로 강하여졌다.
  5. 저것이 대체 무엇일까 하고 생각하고 있는데, 서쪽에서 숫염소 한 마리가 나타나더니 발이 땅에 닿지 않을 만큼 날쌘 몸짓으로 온 세상을 휩쓸었다. 그 숫염소의 두 눈 사이에는 외뿔이 완연히 돋아 있었다.
  1. He came toward the two-horned ram I had seen standing beside the canal and charged at him in great rage.
  2. I saw him attack the ram furiously, striking the ram and shattering his two horns. The ram was powerless to stand against him; the goat knocked him to the ground and trampled on him, and none could rescue the ram from his power.
  3. The goat became very great, but at the height of his power his large horn was broken off, and in its place four prominent horns grew up toward the four winds of heaven.
  4. Out of one of them came another horn, which started small but grew in power to the south and to the east and toward the Beautiful Land.
  5. It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them.
  1. 숫염소는 강가에 서 있는 조금 전의 그 숫양에게 쏜살같이 달려들었다.
  2. 숫염소가 성을 내어 숫양을 받아 그 두 뿔을 꺾어버리는 것을 나는 보았다. 숫양이 대항할 힘을 잃자 숫염소는 숫양을 땅에 거꾸러뜨리고 짓밟아버렸다. 그래도 그 숫양을 구해 주는 이가 없었다.
  3. 이리하여 숫염소의 기세는 매우 커졌다. 그러나 한창 힘을 쓸 때쯤 해서 큰 외뿔이 부러지고 그 자리에 뿔 네 개가 돋아나 사방 하늘로 멋지게 뻗어 나갔다.
  4. 그 중 뿔 하나에서 작은 뿔 하나가 돋아나서 남쪽과 동쪽과 영광스러운 나라 쪽으로 줄기차게 뻗어 나갔다.
  5. 그 세력은 하늘 군대에게까지 뻗쳐 하늘의 군대와 별들을 땅에 떨어뜨려 짓밟았다.
  1. It set itself up to be as great as the Prince of the host; it took away the daily sacrifice from him, and the place of his sanctuary was brought low.
  2. Because of rebellion, the host of the saints and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. It prospered in everything it did, and truth was thrown to the ground.
  3. Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to him, "How long will it take for the vision to be fulfilled--the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes desolation, and the surrender of the sanctuary and of the host that will be trampled underfoot?"
  4. He said to me, "It will take 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated."
  5. While I, Daniel, was watching the vision and trying to understand it, there before me stood one who looked like a man.
  1. 그는 하늘 군대 사령관까지 업신여기며 날마다 드리는 제사를 폐지하고, 성소의 터까지 파헤쳤다.
  2. 나아가 하늘 군대까지 몰아내고 날마다 드리는 제단 위에 부정한 것을 올려놓아 참된 도를 땅에 떨어뜨리며 제멋대로 굴었으나 그 하는 일마다 거침없이 이루어졌다.
  3. 그런데 하늘이 보낸 이 둘이 서로 말을 주고받는 소리가 내 귀에 들려왔다. "지금 나타나 보이는 대로 날마다 드리는 제사가 폐지되고 돌무더기가 된 이 자리에 부정한 것이 버젓이 놓이고 성소와 하늘 군대가 짓밟히고 있는 저 일이 언제까지 갈까?"
  4. "아침과 저녁이 이천삼백 번 바뀌어야 성소가 복구되리라."
  5. 나 다니엘이 이 환상을 보면서 그 뜻을 몰라 애쓰고 있는데 내 앞에 문득 장사같이 보이는 이가 섰고
  1. And I heard a man's voice from the Ulai calling, "Gabriel, tell this man the meaning of the vision."
  2. As he came near the place where I was standing, I was terrified and fell prostrate. "Son of man," he said to me, "understand that the vision concerns the time of the end."
  3. While he was speaking to me, I was in a deep sleep, with my face to the ground. Then he touched me and raised me to my feet.
  4. He said: "I am going to tell you what will happen later in the time of wrath, because the vision concerns the appointed time of the end.
  5. The two-horned ram that you saw represents the kings of Media and Persia.
  1. 울래 강 너머에서 웬 사람이 말하는 소리가 들려왔다. "가브리엘, 너는 저 사람에게 환상을 풀이하여 주어라."
  2. 그러자 가브리엘은 내가 서 있는 곳으로 왔다. 그가 다가오는 것을 보고 내가 겁이 나서 엎드리자 그는 나에게 이렇게 말하였다. "이 사람아, 보고 깨달아라. 이 환상은 세상이 어떻게 끝판날 것인지를 보여주신 것이다."
  3. 그는 이 말을 듣고 땅에 엎드린 채 까무러친 나를 부축하여 일으켜 세우고는
  4. 이렇게 말하였다. "나는 하느님께서 노여움을 모두 터뜨리실 세상 끝판에 일어날 일을 너에게 알리러 왔다. 하느님께서 정하신 끝날은 오고야 만다.
  5. 네가 본 숫양의 두 뿔은 메대와 페르시아의 임금들이다.
  1. The shaggy goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between his eyes is the first king.
  2. The four horns that replaced the one that was broken off represent four kingdoms that will emerge from his nation but will not have the same power.
  3. "In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a stern-faced king, a master of intrigue, will arise.
  4. He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men and the holy people.
  5. He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.
  1. 숫염소는 그리스요, 두 눈 사이에 돋은 큰 뿔은 그 첫 임금이다.
  2. 그 뿔이 부러지고, 그 자리에 네 뿔이 돋은 것은 그 백성이 네 나라로 갈린다는 뜻이다. 그런데 그 힘은 첫 임금만 못할 것이다.
  3. 죄악이 가득 차 나라가 끝장나게 되었을 때 사나운 임금이 나타나 권모 술수를 써가며
  4. 세력을 뻗칠 것이다. 비상한 계략을 짜내어 무슨 일이든지 해내고야 말 것이다. 강대국들을 부수고 거룩한 백성까지 부술 것이다.
  5. 못된 꾀로 흉계를 꾸며 그 모든 일을 제 손으로 해치우리라. 마음이 방자해져서 많은 사람들을 불시에 덮쳐 멸하고 가장 높으신 사령관에게까지 맞서다가 사람의 손이 닿지 않아도 부서지고 말리라.
  1. "The vision of the evenings and mornings that has been given you is true, but seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future."
  2. I, Daniel, was exhausted and lay ill for several days. Then I got up and went about the king's business. I was appalled by the vision; it was beyond understanding.
  1. 이것은 장차 정해진 날에 틀림없이 이루어지겠지만 오래 있다가 될 일이니 비밀에 붙여두어라."
  2. 나 다니엘은 넋을 잃고 여러 날 몸져 눕게 되었다. 일어나 왕을 보필하면서도 앞에 본 환상의 뜻을 몰라서 나는 얼빠진 사람처럼 지냈다.
 
  다니엘의 기도(9:1-9:27)    
 
  1. In the first year of Darius son of Ahasuerus (a Mede by descent), who was made ruler over the Babylonian kingdom-
  2. in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years.
  3. So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.
  4. I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: "O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his commands,
  5. we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.
  1. 메대 족속 출신 아하스에로스의 아들 다리우스가 바빌론의 임금이 되던 해였다.
  2. 다리우스 제일년에 나 다니엘은 성서를 읽다가 야훼께서 예언자 예레미야에게 하신 말씀에서 예루살렘이 돌무더기로 남아 있을 햇수가 칠십 년이라는 것을 알게 되었다.
  3. 나는 삼베를 걸치고 단식하며 먼지를 들쓴 채 주 하느님을 우러러 기도를 올리며 자비를 빌었다.
  4. 나는 내 하느님 야훼께 마음을 털어놓고 기도를 드렸다. "주님, 크고 두려우신 하느님, 하느님을 사랑하여 말씀대로 하는 사람들에게는 계약을 어김없이 지키시는 하느님,
  5. 우리는 못된 일만 하였으며 비뚤어진 짓만 하였습니다. 하느님을 배신하고 몹쓸 짓을 하고 명령과 법을 어겼습니다.
  1. We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
  2. "Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame--the men of Judah and people of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you.
  3. O LORD, we and our kings, our princes and our fathers are covered with shame because we have sinned against you.
  4. The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him;
  5. we have not obeyed the LORD our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets.
  1. 하느님의 종 예언자들이 하느님의 이름으로 우리의 임금들과 고관들과 조상들과 온 국민에게 하신 말씀을 우리는 저버렸습니다.
  2. 주님, 우리는 지금 이처럼 얼굴을 들 수 없이 되었습니다마는 주께는 잘못이 없습니다. 유다 사람이나 예루살렘 주민뿐만 아니라, 이스라엘 사람으로서 이 주변에 사는 사람이나 멀리 온 세상에 흩어진 사람들이 모두가 얼굴을 들 수 없게 되었습니다. 그들은 하느님을 배신하여 그렇게 쫓겨났습니다.
  3. 야훼여, 우리는 임금들이나 고관들이나 조상들까지 모두가 주께 죄를 얻어 얼굴을 들 수 없게 되었습니다.
  4. 주 우리 하느님께서는 애처로운 이 모양이 가엾어 용서해 주셨지만, 우리는 주께 반항만 하였습니다.
  5. 하느님 야훼께서 당신의 종 예언자들을 시켜 우리 앞에 법을 펴시고 그대로 살라고 말씀하셨지만, 우리는 듣지 않았습니다.
  1. All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you. "Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you.
  2. You have fulfilled the words spoken against us and against our rulers by bringing upon us great disaster. Under the whole heaven nothing has ever been done like what has been done to Jerusalem.
  3. Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us, yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our God by turning from our sins and giving attention to your truth.
  4. The LORD did not hesitate to bring the disaster upon us, for the LORD our God is righteous in everything he does; yet we have not obeyed him.
  5. "Now, O Lord our God, who brought your people out of Egypt with a mighty hand and who made for yourself a name that endures to this day, we have sinned, we have done wrong.
  1. 이렇게 온 이스라엘이 주의 법을 어기고 말씀을 듣지 않아, 죄를 얻었습니다. 그리하여 하느님께서는 반드시 내리시겠다고 하신 저주를 하느님의 종 모세의 법에 기록되어 있는 대로 우리에게 내리셨습니다.
  2. 우리와 우리를 다스리는 위정자들에게 내리시겠다고 말씀하신 그 큰 재앙을 그대로 우리에게 내리셨습니다. 천하에 다시 없을 재앙을 예루살렘에 내리셨습니다.
  3. 모세의 법에 기록된 그 온갖 재앙을 당하고도 우리는 하느님의 진실하심을 깨닫지 못하였고 우리의 죄악을 뉘우치지 않았습니다. 우리 하느님 야훼의 노여움을 풀어드리려 하지 않았습니다.
  4. 야훼께서는 재앙이란 재앙은 하나도 빠뜨리지 않고 내리셨습니다. 우리 하느님 야훼께서 하시는 일은 모두 옳으셨지만 우리는 그 말씀을 듣지 않았습니다.
  5. 우리 주 하느님, 하느님께서는 강하신 팔을 펴시어 이 백성을 이집트에서 이끌어내셨습니다. 하느님의 명성은 아직도 떨치고 있습니다. 그런데 우리는 잘못을 저지르고 몹쓸 짓을 했습니다.
  1. O Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts, turn away your anger and your wrath from Jerusalem, your city, your holy hill. Our sins and the iniquities of our fathers have made Jerusalem and your people an object of scorn to all those around us.
  2. "Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, O Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary.
  3. Give ear, O God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.
  4. O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name."
  5. While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and making my request to the LORD my God for his holy hill-
  1. 그러나 주께서는 자비로우시니, 거룩한 산 위의 예루살렘 성에 내리시던 노여움과 진노를 이제 거두어주십시오. 우리의 잘못과 조상들의 죄 탓으로 예루살렘이나 하느님의 백성이 모든 이웃 백성들에게 욕을 당하고 있습니다.
  2. 우리 하느님, 이 종이 드리는 간절한 기도를 이제 들어주십시오. 주님의 명성을 돌보시어 폐허가 된 주의 성소를 가엾이 여기시고 굽어보아 주십시오.
  3. 나의 하느님, 귀를 기울여 들어주십시오. 눈을 뜨시고 주의 이름으로 부르는 도읍, 폐허가 된 이 도읍을 굽어보십시오. 우리가 무슨 잘한 일이 있다고 주의 은총을 빌겠습니까? 다만 하느님의 크신 자비를 믿고 빌 뿐입니다.
  4. 주님, 들어주십시오. 주님, 용서해 주십시오. 주님, 귀를 기울여주십시오. 하느님의 도읍과 백성은 여전히 하느님의 이름으로 불리고 있습니다. 그러니 주의 명성을 돌보시어 지체하지 마시고 곧 이루어주십시오."
  5. 나는 이렇게 나의 죄와 이 겨레 이스라엘의 죄를 자백하였으며 하느님의 거룩한 산을 어여삐 여겨달라고 나의 하느님 야훼께 간구하였다.
  1. while I was still in prayer, Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.
  2. He instructed me and said to me, "Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding.
  3. As soon as you began to pray, an answer was given, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed. Therefore, consider the message and understand the vision:
  4. "Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.
  5. "Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.
  1. 내가 이렇게 기도를 올리고 있는데 지난번 환상에서 본 가브리엘이라는 이가 저녁 제사 무렵에 날아오더니 나를 흔들며
  2. 이렇게 분명히 일러주는 것이었다. "다니엘아, 네가 알려고 하는 것을 깨우쳐주려고 이렇게 왔다.
  3. 네가 간절한 기도를 올리자 곧 대답이 내렸는데 나는 그 대답을 일러주러 왔다. 하느님께서 너를 사랑하셔서 이렇게 대답해 주시는 것이니, 이 말씀을 잘 듣고 환상의 뜻을 깨닫도록 하여라.
  4. 하느님께서는 정하신 기간인 칠십 주간이 지나야 네 겨레와 네 거룩한 도읍으로 하여금 다시는 거역하지 않게 하시고 죄악에서 손을 떼게 하실 것이다. 죄를 벗겨주시고 영원한 정의를 펴실 것이다. 환상으로 내리신 예언을 틀림없이 이루시어 더없이 거룩한 이에게 기름을 부어 그를 성별하여 세우실 것이다.
  5. 너는 똑똑히 알아라. 너희가 돌아가 예루살렘을 재건하리라는 말씀이 계신 때부터 기름 부어 세운 영도자가 오기까지는 칠 주간이 흐를 것이다. 그 뒤에 육십이 주간 어려운 시대가 계속되겠지만, 그 동안에 성을 쌓고 재건하게 될 것이다.
  1. After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.
  2. He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. "
  1. 이렇게 육십이 주간이 지난 다음, 기름부어 세운 이가 재판도 받지 않고 암살당하며, 도읍과 성소는 한 장군이 이끄는 침략군에게 헐릴 것이다. 전쟁으로 끝장이 나 폐허가 되고 말 것이다. 종말이 홍수처럼 닥쳐올 것이다.
  2. 그 장군은 한 주간 동안 무리를 모아 날뛸 것이다. 반 주간이 지나면 희생제사와 곡식예물 봉헌을 중지시키고 성소 한 쪽에 파괴자의 우상을 세울 것이다. 그러나 결국 그 파괴자도 예정된 벌을 받고 말리라."
