- I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said: "Strike the tops of the pillars so that the thresholds shake. Bring them down on the heads of all the people; those who are left I will kill with the sword. Not one will get away, none will escape.
- Though they dig down to the depths of the grave, from there my hand will take them. Though they climb up to the heavens, from there I will bring them down.
- Though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel, there I will hunt them down and seize them. Though they hide from me at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent to bite them.
- Though they are driven into exile by their enemies, there I will command the sword to slay them. I will fix my eyes upon them for evil and not for good."
- The Lord, the LORD Almighty, he who touches the earth and it melts, and all who live in it mourn-- the whole land rises like the Nile, then sinks like the river of Egypt-

- 내가 보고 있는데 주께서 제단 옆에 서서 기둥머리를 치시고, 문상인방이 흔들리는 가운데 말씀하셨다. "내가 지진을 일으켜 저들을 모두 멸하리라. 살아 남은 자들은 칼로 쳐죽이리니, 아무도 도망하지 못하리라. 아무도 살아 남지 못하리라.
- 땅 속으로 들어가도 잡아내고 하늘로 올라가도 끌어내리리라.
- 가르멜 산 꼭대기에 올라가 숨어도 찾아내어 끌어내리고 내 눈을 피해 바다 밑에 내려가 숨어도 물뱀을 시켜 물게 하리라.
- 적군에게 사로잡혀 가도 맞아 죽게 하리라. 내가 놓칠세라 노려보며 재앙을 내리리라. 저자들에게 무슨 복을 내리겠느냐?"
- 주 만군의 야훼께서 손만 대셔도 땅은 녹아나고 사람은 모두 찌들리라. 이집트의 나일 강처럼 부풀어올랐다가 잦아들리라.

- he who builds his lofty palace in the heavens and sets its foundation on the earth, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land-- the LORD is his name.
- "Are not you Israelites the same to me as the Cushites ?" declares the LORD . "Did I not bring Israel up from Egypt, the Philistines from Caphtor and the Arameans from Kir?
- "Surely the eyes of the Sovereign LORD are on the sinful kingdom. I will destroy it from the face of the earth-- yet I will not totally destroy the house of Jacob," declares the LORD.
- "For I will give the command, and I will shake the house of Israel among all the nations as grain is shaken in a sieve, and not a pebble will reach the ground.
- All the sinners among my people will die by the sword, all those who say, 'Disaster will not overtake or meet us.'

- 땅에 기둥을 세워 하늘을 떠받드시고 그 하늘 위에 다락을 지으신 이, 바닷물을 불어 올려 땅에 부으시는 이, 그 이름 야훼시라.
- "이스라엘 백성들아, 너희가 나에게 있어 에티오피아 백성과 무엇이 다르냐? -야훼의 말씀이시다. 이스라엘을 이집트에서 이끌어낸 것이 나라면, 불레셋 백성을 갑돌에서 데려내오고 시리아 백성을 키르에서 데려내온 것도 내가 아니겠느냐?
- 보아라, 어느 나라건 죄를 짓고, 내 눈에서 벗어날 것 같으냐? 그 나라는 땅 위에서 멸망하고야 만다. 그러나 야곱의 가문만은 뿌리까지 없애지는 않으리라. -야훼의 말씀이시다.
- 나 이제 내 뜻을 분명히 밝힌다. 농부가 체로 돌을 말끔히 골라내듯 내가 이스라엘 가문을 만국 중에서 체질하리라.
- '하느님이 설마 우리에게 재앙을 내리시겠느냐? 우리를 고생시키시지는 않는다.'고 하면서 못할 짓만 하는데도 내 백성이라고 하여 칼에 맞아 죽지 않게 하겠느냐?

- "In that day I will restore David's fallen tent. I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins, and build it as it used to be,
- so that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear my name, " declares the LORD, who will do these things.
- "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills.
- I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit.
- I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them," says the LORD your God.

- 그 날이 오면 내가 무너진 다윗의 초막을 일으키리라. 틈이 벌어진 성벽을 수축하고 허물어진 터를 다시 세워 옛 모습을 되찾아주리라.
- 에돔에 남은 백성뿐 아니라 내 백성이라는 칭호를 받을 모든 민족 위에 군림하게 하리라. -이 일을 이루실 야훼의 말씀이시다.
- 추수가 끝나면 곧 땅을 갈아야 하고 포도짜기가 끝나면 곧 씨 뿌리는 시절이 오리라. -야훼의 말씀이시다. 산에서는 햇포도주가 흘러내리고 언덕마다 무르익은 곡식이 물결치리라.
- 내 백성 이스라엘의 국운을 이렇게 회복시켜 주면, 저들은 쑥밭이 된 성읍들을 다시 일으켜 그 안에 살며, 제 손으로 심은 포도에서 술을 짜 마시고, 제 손으로 가꾼 과수원에서 과일을 따먹게 되리라.
- 내가 이 백성을 저희 땅에 다시 심어주리니, 내가 선물로 준 이 땅에서 다시는 뿌리뽑히지 않으리라." -너희의 하느님 야훼의 말씀이시다.
