여호수아 13:1-14:15

 하나님께서는 여호수아에게 이스라엘이 미정복한 지역을 포함하여 가나안 땅을 이미 요단 동편 지역을 분배 받은 르우벤, 갓, 므낫세 반 지파 외의 아홉 지파와 반 지파에게 분배할 것을 지시하셨다. 제비 뽑기를 통해 이스라엘 자손들은 각 지파별로 땅을 분배받았으며, 갈렙은 모세에게 약속받은 헤브론을 요구하여 기업으로 받았다.
  
  가나안 땅의 분배(13:1-13:33)    
 
  1. When Joshua was old and well advanced in years, the LORD said to him, "You are very old, and there are still very large areas of land to be taken over.
  2. "This is the land that remains: all the regions of the Philistines and Geshurites:
  3. from the Shihor River on the east of Egypt to the territory of Ekron on the north, all of it counted as Canaanite (the territory of the five Philistine rulers in Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath and Ekron--that of the Avvites
  4. from the south, all the land of the Canaanites, from Arah of the Sidonians as far as Aphek, the region of the Amorites,
  5. the area of the Gebalites ; and all Lebanon to the east, from Baal Gad below Mount Hermon to Lebo Hamath.
  1. 여호수아가 늙고 나이가 많아졌다. 주님께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "너는 늙었고 나이가 많은데, 정복하여야 할 땅은 아직도 많이 남아 있다.
  2. 남아 있는 땅은 이러하다. 블레셋 사람과 그술 사람의 모든 지역과,

  1. "As for all the inhabitants of the mountain regions from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, that is, all the Sidonians, I myself will drive them out before the Israelites. Be sure to allocate this land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have instructed you,
  2. and divide it as an inheritance among the nine tribes and half of the tribe of Manasseh."
  3. The other half of Manasseh, the Reubenites and the Gadites had received the inheritance that Moses had given them east of the Jordan, as he, the servant of the LORD, had assigned it to them.
  4. It extended from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge, and from the town in the middle of the gorge, and included the whole plateau of Medeba as far as Dibon,
  5. and all the towns of Sihon king of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon, out to the border of the Ammonites.
  1. 그리고 레바논에서부터 미스르봇마임에 이르는 산간지방에 사는 모든 사람 곧 시돈 사람을, 내가 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 모두 쫓아낼 터이니, 너는 오직 내가 너에게 지시한 대로, 그 땅을 이스라엘 자손에게 유산으로 나누어 주어라.
  2. 너는 이제 이 땅을 아홉 지파와 므낫세의 반쪽 지파에게 유산으로 나누어 주어라."
  3. 므낫세 반쪽 지파와 함께 르우벤 사람과 갓 사람은 모세가 요단 강 동쪽에서 그들에게 준 유산을 이미 받았다. 주님의 종 모세가 그들에게 준 유산은 이러하다.

  1. It also included Gilead, the territory of the people of Geshur and Maacah, all of Mount Hermon and all Bashan as far as Salecah-
  2. that is, the whole kingdom of Og in Bashan, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei and had survived as one of the last of the Rephaites. Moses had defeated them and taken over their land.
  3. But the Israelites did not drive out the people of Geshur and Maacah, so they continue to live among the Israelites to this day.
  4. But to the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance, since the offerings made by fire to the LORD, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, as he promised them.
  5. This is what Moses had given to the tribe of Reuben, clan by clan:
  1. 길르앗과 그술 사람과 마아갓 사람의 경계와, 헤르몬의 온 산간지방과 살르가까지에 이르는 바산의 모든 지역,
  2. 곧 르바의 마지막 남은 족속으로서, 아스다롯과 에드레이에서 다스린 바산 왕 옥의 온 나라를 차지하였다. 모세가 이미 그들을 정복하고 그들의 땅을 차지하였지만,

  1. The territory from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge, and from the town in the middle of the gorge, and the whole plateau past Medeba
  2. to Heshbon and all its towns on the plateau, including Dibon, Bamoth Baal, Beth Baal Meon,
  3. Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
  4. Kiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth Shahar on the hill in the valley,
  5. Beth Peor, the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth Jeshimoth

  1. --all the towns on the plateau and the entire realm of Sihon king of the Amorites, who ruled at Heshbon. Moses had defeated him and the Midianite chiefs, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba--princes allied with Sihon--who lived in that country.
  2. In addition to those slain in battle, the Israelites had put to the sword Balaam son of Beor, who practiced divination.
  3. The boundary of the Reubenites was the bank of the Jordan. These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the Reubenites, clan by clan.
  4. This is what Moses had given to the tribe of Gad, clan by clan:
  5. The territory of Jazer, all the towns of Gilead and half the Ammonite country as far as Aroer, near Rabbah;
  1. 평지의 모든 성읍과 헤스본에서 다스리던 아모리 사람의 왕 시혼이 다스리던 모든 왕국이다. 모세는 시혼에게 한 대로 에위와 레겜과 수르와 훌과 레바를 모두 무찔렀다. 그들은 미디안의 우두머리로서, 그 땅에 살면서 시혼의 밑에서 통치하던 자들이다.

  1. and from Heshbon to Ramath Mizpah and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the territory of Debir;
  2. and in the valley, Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth and Zaphon with the rest of the realm of Sihon king of Heshbon (the east side of the Jordan, the territory up to the end of the Sea of Kinnereth ).
  3. These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the Gadites, clan by clan.
  4. This is what Moses had given to the half-tribe of Manasseh, that is, to half the family of the descendants of Manasseh, clan by clan:
  5. The territory extending from Mahanaim and including all of Bashan, the entire realm of Og king of Bashan--all the settlements of Jair in Bashan, sixty towns,
  1. 헤스본에서 라맛미스바와 브도님까지와 마하나임에서 드빌 경계선까지인데,

  1. half of Gilead, and Ashtaroth and Edrei (the royal cities of Og in Bashan). This was for the descendants of Makir son of Manasseh--for half of the sons of Makir, clan by clan.
  2. This is the inheritance Moses had given when he was in the plains of Moab across the Jordan east of Jericho.
  3. But to the tribe of Levi, Moses had given no inheritance; the LORD, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as he promised them.
  1. 길르앗의 반쪽과, 바산 왕 옥의 왕국에 있는 두 성읍인 아스다롯과 에드레이이다. 이 성읍들은 므낫세의 아들 마길의 자손 곧 마길 자손의 반쪽이 가문을 따라 받은 것이다.
  2. 이상이 모세가 여리고 동쪽 곧 요단 강 동쪽의 모압 평지에서 두 지파와 반쪽 지파에게 유산으로 나누어 준 땅이다.
  3. 그러나 레위 지파에게는 모세가 유산을 주지 않았다. 하나님이 그들에게 말씀하신 대로, 주 이스라엘의 하나님이 바로 그들의 유산이기 때문이다.
 
  요단 서편의 분배(14:1-14:15)    
 
  1. Now these are the areas the Israelites received as an inheritance in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun and the heads of the tribal clans of Israel allotted to them.
  2. Their inheritances were assigned by lot to the nine-and-a-half tribes, as the LORD had commanded through Moses.
  3. Moses had granted the two-and-a-half tribes their inheritance east of the Jordan but had not granted the Levites an inheritance among the rest,
  4. for the sons of Joseph had become two tribes--Manasseh and Ephraim. The Levites received no share of the land but only towns to live in, with pasturelands for their flocks and herds.
  5. So the Israelites divided the land, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
  1. 이스라엘 자손이 가나안 땅에서 받은 유산을, 제사장 엘르아살과 눈의 아들 여호수아와 이스라엘 자손의 각 지파 우두머리들이 다음과 같이 분배하였다.
  2. 주님께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로, 그들은 제비를 뽑아서 아홉 지파와 둘로 나뉜 한 지파의 반쪽에게 땅을 유산으로 나누어 주었다.
  3. 모세가 이미 요단 강 동쪽에서, 두 지파와 둘로 나뉜 한 지파의 반쪽에게 땅을 유산으로 주었으나, 레위 지파에게는 분깃을 주지 않았다.

  2. I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh Barnea to explore the land. And I brought him back a report according to my convictions,
  3. but my brothers who went up with me made the hearts of the people melt with fear. I, however, followed the LORD my God wholeheartedly.
  4. So on that day Moses swore to me, 'The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the LORD my God wholeheartedly.'
  5. "Now then, just as the LORD promised, he has kept me alive for forty-five years since the time he said this to Moses, while Israel moved about in the desert. So here I am today, eighty-five years old!
  1. 유다 자손이 길갈에 있는 여호수아에게 다가왔을 때에, 그니스 사람 여분네의 아들 갈렙이 여호수아에게 말하였다. "당신은 주님께서 나와 당신에 대하여 가데스바네아에서 하나님의 사람 모세에게 하신 말씀을 알고 계십니다.
  2. 내가 마흔 살이 되었을 때에, 주님의 종 모세가 가데스바네아에서 나를 보내어, 그 땅을 정탐하게 하였습니다. 나는 돌아와서, 내가 확신하는 바를 그에게 보고하였습니다.

  1. I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I'm just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then.
  2. Now give me this hill country that the LORD promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the LORD helping me, I will drive them out just as he said."
  3. Then Joshua blessed Caleb son of Jephunneh and gave him Hebron as his inheritance.
  4. So Hebron has belonged to Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite ever since, because he followed the LORD, the God of Israel, wholeheartedly.
  5. (Hebron used to be called Kiriath Arba after Arba, who was the greatest man among the Anakites.) Then the land had rest from war.
  1. 모세가 나를 정탐꾼으로 보낼 때와 같이, 나는 오늘도 여전히 건강하며, 그 때와 마찬가지로 지금도 힘이 넘쳐서, 전쟁하러 나가는 데나 출입하는 데에 아무런 불편이 없습니다.
  2. 이제 주님께서 그 날 약속하신 이 산간지방을 나에게 주십시오. 그 때에 당신이 들은 대로, 과연 거기에는 아낙 사람이 있고, 그 성읍은 크고 견고합니다. 그러나 주님께서 나와 함께 하시기만 한다면, 주님께서 말씀하신 대로, 나는 그들을 쫓아낼 수 있습니다."
  3. 여호수아가 여분네의 아들 갈렙을 축복하고, 헤브론을 유산으로 그에게 주었다.
  4. 그래서 헤브론은 그니스 사람 여분네의 아들 갈렙의 유산이 되어 오늘날까지 이른다. 그것은 그가 주 이스라엘의 하나님을 충성스럽게 따랐기 때문이다.
  5. 헤브론의 옛 이름은 기럇아르바였는데, 아르바는 아낙 사람 가운데서 가장 위대한 인물이었다. 드디어 그 땅에 평화가 깃들었다.
