- 아이들아, 주님의 훈계를 거부하지 말고, 그의 책망을 싫어하지 말아라.
- 주님은, 당신이 사랑하시는 사람을 꾸짖으시니, 마치 귀여워하는 아들을 꾸짖는 아버지와 같으시다.
- 지혜를 찾는 사람은 복이 있고, 명철을 얻는 사람은 복이 있다.
- 참으로 지혜를 얻는 것이 은을 얻는 것보다 낫고, 황금을 얻는 것보다 더 유익하다.
- 지혜는 진주보다 더 값지고, 네가 갖고 싶어하는 그 어떤 것도 이것과 비교할 수 없다.
