- You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.
- Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.
- Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.
- Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children,
- to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

- 그대는 건전한 교훈에 맞는 말을 하십시오.
- 나이 많은 남자들은, 절제 있고, 위엄 있고, 신중하고, 믿음과 사랑과 인내심이 흔들리지 않는 사람이 되게 하십시오.
- 이와 같이 나이 많은 여자들도, 행실이 거룩하고, 헐뜯지 아니하고, 과도한 술의 노예가 아니고, 좋은 것을 가르치는 사람이 되게 하십시오.
- 그리하여 그들이 젊은 여자들을 훈련시켜서, 남편과 자녀를 사랑하고,
- 신중하고, 순결하고, 집안 살림을 잘하고, 어질고, 남편에게 순종하는 사람이 되게 해야 할 것입니다. 그래야 하나님의 말씀이 비방을 받지 않을 것입니다.

- Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled.
- In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness
- and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
- Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them,
- and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.

- 이와 같이 그대는 젊은 남자들을 권하여 신중한 사람이 되게 하십시오.
- 그대는 모든 일에 선한 행실의 모범이 되십시오. 가르치는 일에 순수하고 위엄 있는 태도를 보여야 합니다.
- 책잡힐 데가 없는 건전한 말을 하십시오. 그리하면 반대자도 우리를 걸어서 나쁘게 말할 것이 없으므로 부끄러움을 당할 것입니다.
- 종들을 가르치되, 모든 일에 주인에게 복종하고, 그들을 기쁘게 하고, 말대꾸를 하지 말고,
- 훔쳐내지 말고, 온전히 신실하라고 하십시오. 그러면 그들이 모든 일에서 우리의 구주이신 하나님의 교훈을 빛낼 것입니다.

- For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.
- It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,
- while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
- who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
- These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.

- 모든 사람에게 하나님의 구원의 은혜가 나타났습니다.
- 그 은혜는 우리를 교육하여, 경건하지 않음과 속된 정욕을 버리고, 지금 이 세상에서 신중하고 의롭고 경건하게 살게 합니다.
- 그래서 우리는 복된 소망 곧 위대하신 하나님과 우리 구주 예수 그리스도의 영광이 나타나기를 고대합니다.
- 그리스도께서는 우리를 위하여 자기 몸을 내주셨습니다. 그것은 우리를 모든 불법에서 건져내시고, 깨끗하게 하셔서, 선한 일에 열심을 내는 백성으로 삼으시려는 것입니다.
- 그대는 권위를 가지고 이것들을 말하고, 사람들을 권하고 책망하십시오. 아무도 그대를 업신여기지 못하게 하십시오.
