예레미야 19:1-21:14

 하나님께서는 오지병을 깨뜨리는 비유를 통해 하나님의 훈계와 교훈을 멸시한 유다의 파멸이 확정적임을 보여 주셨다. 예레미야가 성전에 올라가 이러한 심판의 메시지를 선포하자 성전의 책임자였던 바스훌이 그를 핍박하였다. 이에 예레미야는 자신의 심정을 하나님께 토로하며 탄식하였다. 그 후 바벨론이 침입하여 위기에 처하자 시드기야 왕은 예레미야에게 기도를 부탁했지만, 예레미야는 바벨론에게 항복할 것을 권유하였다.
  
  심판 선포(19:1-19:15)    
 
  1. This is what the LORD says: "Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take along some of the elders of the people and of the priests
  2. and go out to the Valley of Ben Hinnom, near the entrance of the Potsherd Gate. There proclaim the words I tell you,
  3. and say, 'Hear the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah and people of Jerusalem. This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Listen! I am going to bring a disaster on this place that will make the ears of everyone who hears of it tingle.
  4. For they have forsaken me and made this a place of foreign gods; they have burned sacrifices in it to gods that neither they nor their fathers nor the kings of Judah ever knew, and they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent.
  5. They have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as offerings to Baal--something I did not command or mention, nor did it enter my mind.
  1. 主はこう 言われる， 「行って， 陶器師のびんを 買い， 民の 長老と 年長の 祭司のうちの 數人を 伴って，
  2. 瀨戶かけの 門の 入口にある ベンヒンノム の 谷へ 行き， その 所で， わたしがあなたに 語る 言葉をのべて，
  3. 言いなさい， 『ユダ の 王たち， および エルサレム に 住む 者よ， 主の 言葉を 聞きなさい． 万軍の 主， イスラエル の 神はこう 仰せられる， 見よ， わたしは 災をこの 所に 下す． おおよそ， その 災のことを 聞くものの 耳は 兩方とも 鳴る．
  4. 彼らがわたしを 捨て， この 所を 汚し， この 所で， 自分も 先祖たちも ユダ の 王たちも 知らなかった 他の 神¿に 香をたき， かつ 罪のない 者の 血を， この 所に 滿たしたからである．
  5. また 彼らは バアル のために 高き 所を 築き， 火をもって 自分の 子どもたちを 燒き， §祭として バアル にささげた． これはわたしの 命じたことではなく， 定めたことでもなく， また 思いもしなかったことである．
  1. So beware, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when people will no longer call this place Topheth or the Valley of Ben Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter.
  2. " 'In this place I will ruin the plans of Judah and Jerusalem. I will make them fall by the sword before their enemies, at the hands of those who seek their lives, and I will give their carcasses as food to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth.
  3. I will devastate this city and make it an object of scorn; all who pass by will be appalled and will scoff because of all its wounds.
  4. I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and daughters, and they will eat one another's flesh during the stress of the siege imposed on them by the enemies who seek their lives.'
  5. "Then break the jar while those who go with you are watching,
  1. 主は 言われる， それゆえ， 見よ， この 所を トペテ または ベンヒンノム の 谷と 呼ばないで， 虐殺の 谷と 呼ぶ 日がくる．
  2. またわたしはこの 所で ユダ と エルサレム の 計りごとを 打ち 破り， つるぎをもって， 彼らをその 敵の 前と， そのいのちを 求める 者の 手に 倒れさせ， またその 死體を 空の 鳥と 地の ¿の 食い 物とし，

  1. and say to them, 'This is what the LORD Almighty says: I will smash this nation and this city just as this potter's jar is smashed and cannot be repaired. They will bury the dead in Topheth until there is no more room.
  2. This is what I will do to this place and to those who live here, declares the LORD. I will make this city like Topheth.
  3. The houses in Jerusalem and those of the kings of Judah will be defiled like this place, Topheth--all the houses where they burned incense on the roofs to all the starry hosts and poured out drink offerings to other gods.' "
  4. Jeremiah then returned from Topheth, where the LORD had sent him to prophesy, and stood in the court of the LORD's temple and said to all the people,
  5. "This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'Listen! I am going to bring on this city and the villages around it every disaster I pronounced against them, because they were stiff-necked and would not listen to my words.' "
  1. そして 彼らに 言いなさい， 『万軍の 主はこう 仰せられる， 陶器師の 器をひとたび ¿くならば， もはやもとのようにすることはできない． このようにわたしはこの 民とこの 町とを ¿く． 人¿はほかに 葬るべき 場所がないために， トペテ に 葬るであろう．
  2. 主は 仰せられる， わたしはこの 所と， ここに 住む 者とにこのようにし， この 町を トペテ のようにする．
  3. エルサレム の 家と ユダ の 王たちの 家， すなわち 彼らがその 屋上で 天の 衆群に 香をたき， ほかの 神¿に 酒を 注いだ 家は， 皆 トペテ の 所のように 汚される 』」．
  4. エレミヤ は 主が 彼をつかわして 預言させられた トペテ から 歸ってきて， 主の 家の 庭に 立ち， すべての 民に 言った，
  5. 「万軍の 主， イスラエル の 神はこう 仰せられる， 見よ， わたしは， この 町とそのすべての 村¿に， わたしの 言ったもろもろの 災を 下す． 彼らが 强情で， わたしの 言葉に 聞き 從おうとしないからである 」．
 
  핍박받는 예레미야(20:1-20:18)    
 
  1. When the priest Pashhur son of Immer, the chief officer in the temple of the LORD, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things,
  2. he had Jeremiah the prophet beaten and put in the stocks at the Upper Gate of Benjamin at the LORD's temple.
  3. The next day, when Pashhur released him from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him, "The LORD's name for you is not Pashhur, but Magor-Missabib.
  4. For this is what the LORD says: 'I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; with your own eyes you will see them fall by the sword of their enemies. I will hand all Judah over to the king of Babylon, who will carry them away to Babylon or put them to the sword.
  5. I will hand over to their enemies all the wealth of this city--all its products, all its valuables and all the treasures of the kings of Judah. They will take it away as plunder and carry it off to Babylon.
  1. さて 祭司 インメル の 子で， 主の 宮のつかさの 長であった パシュル は， エレミヤ がこれらの 事を 預言するのを 聞いた．
  2. そして パシュル は 預言者 エレミヤ を 打ち， 主の 宮にある 上の ベニヤミン の 門の 足かせにつないだ．

  1. And you, Pashhur, and all who live in your house will go into exile to Babylon. There you will die and be buried, you and all your friends to whom you have prophesied lies.' "
  2. O LORD, you deceived me, and I was deceived ; you overpowered me and prevailed. I am ridiculed all day long; everyone mocks me.
  3. Whenever I speak, I cry out proclaiming violence and destruction. So the word of the LORD has brought me insult and reproach all day long.
  4. But if I say, "I will not mention him or speak any more in his name," his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.
  5. I hear many whispering, "Terror on every side! Report him! Let's report him!" All my friends are waiting for me to slip, saying, "Perhaps he will be deceived; then we will prevail over him and take our revenge on him."
  1. パシュル よ， あなたと， あなたの 家に 住む 者とはみな 捕え 移される． あなたは バビロン に 行って， その 所で 死に， その 所に 葬られる． あなたも， あなたが 僞って 預言した 言葉に 聞き 從った 友もみなそのようになる 」．
  2. 主よ， あなたがわたしを 欺かれたので， わたしはその 欺きに 從いました． あなたはわたしよりも 强いので， わたしを 說き 伏せられたのです． わたしは 一日中， 物笑いとなり， 人はみなわたしをあざけります．
  3. それは， わたしが 語り， 呼ばわるごとに， 「暴虐， 滅亡 」と 叫ぶからです． 主の 言葉が 一日中， わが 身のはずかしめと， あざけりになるからです．

  5. 多くの 人のささやくのを 聞くからです． 恐れが 四方にあります． 「告發せよ． さあ， 彼を 告發しよう 」と ／言って， わが 親しい 友は 皆 ／わたしのつまずくのを， うかがっています． また， 「彼は 欺かれるだろう． そのとき， われわれは 彼に 勝って， あだを 返すことができる 」と 言います．
  1. But the LORD is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten.
  2. O LORD Almighty, you who examine the righteous and probe the heart and mind, let me see your vengeance upon them, for to you I have committed my cause.
  3. Sing to the LORD! Give praise to the LORD! He rescues the life of the needy from the hands of the wicked.
  4. Cursed be the day I was born! May the day my mother bore me not be blessed!
  5. Cursed be the man who brought my father the news, who made him very glad, saying, "A child is born to you--a son!"
  1. しかし 主は 强い 勇士の ／ようにわたしと 共におられる． それゆえ， わたしに 迫りくる 者はつまずき， わたしに 打ち 勝つことはできない． 彼らは， なし 遂げることができなくて， 大いに 恥をかく． その 恥は， いつまでも 忘れられることはない．
  2. 正しき 者を 試み， 人の 心と 思いを 見られる 万軍の 主よ， あなたが 彼らに， あだを 返されるのを 見せてください． わたしはあなたに， わたしの 訴えを ／お 任せしたからです．
  3. 主に 向かって 歌い， 主をほめたたえよ． 主は 貧しい 者の 命を， 惡人の 手から 救われたからである．
  4. わたしの 生れた 日はのろわれよ． 母がわたしを 産んだ 日は 祝福を 受けるな．
  5. わたしの 父に「男の 子が， 生れました 」と 告げて， 彼を 大いに 喜ばせた 人は， のろわれよ．
  1. May that man be like the towns the LORD overthrew without pity. May he hear wailing in the morning, a battle cry at noon.
  2. For he did not kill me in the womb, with my mother as my grave, her womb enlarged forever.
  3. Why did I ever come out of the womb to see trouble and sorrow and to end my days in shame?
  1. その 人は， 主のあわれみを 受けることなく， 滅ぼされた 町のようになれ． 朝には， 彼に 叫びを 聞かせ， ¿には 戰いの 聲を 聞かせよ．
  2. 彼がわたしを 胎內で 殺さず， わが 母をわたしの 墓場となさず， その 胎をいつまでも 大きくしなかったからである．
  3. なにゆえにわたしは 胎內を 出てきて， 惱みと 悲しみに 會い， 恥を 受けて 一生を 過ごすのか．
 
  멸망당할 유다(21:1-21:14)    
 
  1. The word came to Jeremiah from the LORD when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur son of Malkijah and the priest Zephaniah son of Maaseiah. They said:
  2. "Inquire now of the LORD for us because Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is attacking us. Perhaps the LORD will perform wonders for us as in times past so that he will withdraw from us."
  3. But Jeremiah answered them, "Tell Zedekiah,
  4. 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I am about to turn against you the weapons of war that are in your hands, which you are using to fight the king of Babylon and the Babylonians who are outside the wall besieging you. And I will gather them inside this city.
  5. I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and a mighty arm in anger and fury and great wrath.
  1. ゼデキヤ 王は， マルキヤ の 子 パシュル と 祭司 マアセヤ の 子 ゼパニヤ を， エレミヤ のもとにつかわし，
  2. 「バビロン の 王 ネブカデレザル がわれわれを 攻めようとしているゆえ， われわれのために 主に 尋ねてほしい． 主はそのもろもろの 不思議なわざをもって， われわれを 助け， バビロン の 王をわれわれから 退かせられるかも 知れない 」と 言わせた． その 時， 主の 言葉が エレミヤ に 臨んだ．
  3. エレミヤ は 彼らに 答えて 言った， 「あなたがたは ゼデキヤ にこのように 言いなさい，
  4. 『イスラエル の 神， 主はこう 仰せられる， 見よ， あなたがたが， この 城壁の 外にあって， あなたがたを 攻め 圍む バビロン の 王および カルデヤ びとと 戰うとき， わたしはあなたがたの 手に 持っている 武器をとりあげ， これを 町の 中に 集めさせる．
  5. わたしは 手を 伸べ， 强い 腕をもって， 怒り， 憤り， 激しく 怒って， あなたがたを 攻める．
  1. I will strike down those who live in this city--both men and animals--and they will die of a terrible plague.
  2. After that, declares the LORD, I will hand over Zedekiah king of Judah, his officials and the people in this city who survive the plague, sword and famine, to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and to their enemies who seek their lives. He will put them to the sword; he will show them no mercy or pity or compassion.'
  3. "Furthermore, tell the people, 'This is what the LORD says: See, I am setting before you the way of life and the way of death.
  4. Whoever stays in this city will die by the sword, famine or plague. But whoever goes out and surrenders to the Babylonians who are besieging you will live; he will escape with his life.
  5. I have determined to do this city harm and not good, declares the LORD. It will be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and he will destroy it with fire.'
  1. わたしはまたこの 町に 住む 人と ¿とを 擊つ． 彼らはみな 重い 疫病にかかって 死ぬ．
  2. 主は 言われる， この 後， わたしは ユダ の 王 ゼデキヤ とその 家來たち， および 疫病と， つるぎと， ききんを 免れて， この 町に 殘っている 民を， バビロン の 王 ネブカデレザル の 手と， その 敵の 手， およびその 命を 求める 者の 手に 渡す． バビロン の 王はつるぎの 刃にかけて 彼らを 擊ち， 彼らを 惜しまず， 顧みず， またあわれむこともしない 』．

  1. "Moreover, say to the royal house of Judah, 'Hear the word of the LORD;
  2. O house of David, this is what the LORD says: " 'Administer justice every morning; rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed, or my wrath will break out and burn like fire because of the evil you have done-- burn with no one to quench it.
  3. I am against you, Jerusalem, you who live above this valley on the rocky plateau, declares the LORD-- you who say, "Who can come against us? Who can enter our refuge?"
  4. I will punish you as your deeds deserve, declares the LORD. I will kindle a fire in your forests that will consume everything around you.' "
  1. また ユダ の 王の 家に 言いなさい， 『主の 言葉を 聞きなさい．
  2. ダビデ の 家よ， 主はこう 仰せられる， 朝ごとに， 正しいさばきを 行い， 物を 奪われた 人をしえたげる 者の 手から 救え． そうしないと， あなたがたの 惡い 行いのために， わたしの 怒りは 火のように 燃えて， それを 消すことはできない 』」．
  3. 「主は 言われる， 谷に 住む 者よ， 平原の 岩よ， 見よ， わたしはあなたに 敵する． あなたがたは 言う， 『だれが 下ってきて， われわれを 攻めるものか， だれがわれわれのいる 所に， はいるものか 』と．
  4. わたしはあなたがたを， その 行いの 實によって 罰する． またその 林に 火をつけて， その 周圍のものをみな 燒き 盡すと， 主は 言われる 」．
