- When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
- And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
- Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne.
- The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel's hand.
- Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

- 小羊が 第七の 封印を 開いたとき， 天は 半時間ほど 沈默に 包まれた．
- そして， わたしは 七人の 天使が 神の 御前に 立っているのを 見た． 彼らには 七つの ラッパ が 與えられた．
- また， 別の 天使が 來て， 手に 金の 香爐を 持って 祭壇のそばに 立つと， この 天使に 多くの 香が 渡された． すべての 聖なる 者たちの 祈りに 添えて， 玉座の 前にある 金の 祭壇に 獻げるためである．
- 香の 煙は， 天使の 手から， 聖なる 者たちの 祈りと 共に 神の 御前へ 立ち 上った．
- それから， 天使が 香爐を 取り， それに 祭壇の 火を 滿たして 地上へ 投げつけると， 雷， さまざまな 音， 稻妻， 地震が 起こった．

- Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.
- The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
- The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood,
- a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
- The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water--

- さて， 七つの ラッパ を 持っている 七人の 天使たちが， ラッパ を 吹く 用意をした．
- 第一の 天使が ラッパ を 吹いた． すると， 血の 混じった 音と 火とが 生じ， 地上に 投げ 入れられた． 地上の 三分の 一が 燒け， 木¿の 三分の 一が 燒け， すべての 靑草も 燒けてしまった．
- 第二の 天使が ラッパ を 吹いた． すると， 火で 燃えている 大きな 山のようなものが， 海に 投げ 入れられた． 海の 三分の 一が 血に 變わり，
- また， 被造物で 海に 住む 生き 物の 三分の 一は 死に， 船という 船の 三分の 一が 壞された．
- 第三の 天使が ラッパ を 吹いた． すると， 松明のように 燃えている 大きな 星が， 天から 落ちて 來て， 川という 川の 三分の 一と， その 水源の 上に 落ちた．

- この 星の 名は「苦よもぎ 」といい， 水の 三分の 一が 苦よもぎのように 苦くなって， そのために 多くの 人が 死んだ．
- 第四の 天使が ラッパ を 吹いた． すると， 太陽の 三分の 一， 月の 三分の 一， 星という 星の 三分の 一が 損なわれたので， それぞれ 三分の 一が 暗くなって， ¿はその 光の 三分の 一を 失い， 夜も 同じようになった．
- また， 見ていると， 一羽の 鷲が 空高く 飛びながら， 大聲でこう 言うのが 聞こえた． 「不幸だ， 不幸だ， 不幸だ， 地上に 住む 者たち． なお 三人の 天使が 吹こうとしている ラッパ の 響きのゆえに． 」
