민수기

  본서는 이스라엘 민족의 광야 여정을 기록한 책으로, 이스라엘의 광야 생활 동안 일어났던 일들과 불순종에 대한 하나님의 심판과 자비를 기록하고 있다.

  시내 산에서 하나님과 언약을 맺은 이스라엘은 효율적인 광야 행군을 위한 군대 조직 편성의 기초 작업으로 1차 인구 조사를 실시한다. 그러나 시내 산을 떠난 즉시 그들은 불평하면서 모세에게 대항하고, 가데스에서 하나님을 반역한다. 그 결과 여호수아와 갈렙을 제외한 출애굽 제1세대는 광야에서 죽는다. 그 후 출애굽 제2세대는 마침내 약속의 땅인 가나안 동쪽 경계선인 요단 가 모압 평지에 도착하여 가나안 정복 전쟁 수행과 땅 분배를 위한 2차 인구 조사를 실시한다.

 

 

민수기 1:1-1:54

 하나님께서는 모세에게 백성들의 효과적 진군을 위해 인구 조사를 명령하셨다. 조사 결과, 20세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 남자의 수가 603,550명으로 집계되었고, 인구 조사에 제외된 레위인들은 성막 봉사자로 선택되었다.
  
  첫번째 인구 조사(1:1-1:54)    
 
  1. The LORD spoke to Moses in the Tent of Meeting in the Desert of Sinai on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. He said:
  2. "Take a census of the whole Israelite community by their clans and families, listing every man by name, one by one.
  3. You and Aaron are to number by their divisions all the men in Israel twenty years old or more who are able to serve in the army.
  4. One man from each tribe, each the head of his family, is to help you.
  5. These are the names of the men who are to assist you: from Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur;
  1. 이스라엘 자손이 애굽 땅에서 나온 후 둘째 해 둘째 달 첫째 날에 여호와께서 시내 광야 회막에서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되
  2. 너희는 이스라엘 자손의 모든 회중 각 남자의 수를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 그 명수대로 계수할지니
  3. 이스라엘 중 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 모든 자를 너와 아론은 그 진영별로 계수하되
  4. 각 지파의 각 조상의 가문의 우두머리 한 사람씩을 너희와 함께 하게 하라
  5. 너희와 함께 설 사람들의 이름은 이러하니 르우벤 지파에서는 스데울의 아들 엘리술이요
  1. from Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;
  2. from Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab;
  3. from Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar;
  4. from Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon;
  5. from the sons of Joseph: from Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud; from Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur;
  1. 시므온 지파에서는 수리삿대의 아들 슬루미엘이요
  2. 유다 지파에서는 암미나답의 아들 나손이요
  3. 잇사갈 지파에서는 수알의 아들 느다넬이요
  4. 스불론 지파에서는 헬론의 아들 엘리압이요
  5. 요셉의 자손들 중 에브라임 지파에서는 암미훗의 아들 엘리사마요 므낫세 지파에서는 브다술의 아들 가말리엘이요
  1. from Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni;
  2. from Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;
  3. from Asher, Pagiel son of Ocran;
  4. from Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel;
  5. from Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan."
  1. 베냐민 지파에서는 기드오니의 아들 아비단이요
  2. 단 지파에서는 암미삿대의 아들 아히에셀이요
  3. 아셀 지파에서는 오그란의 아들 바기엘이요
  4. 갓 지파에서는 드우엘의 아들 엘리아삽이요
  5. 납달리 지파에서는 에난의 아들 아히라이니라 하시니
  1. These were the men appointed from the community, the leaders of their ancestral tribes. They were the heads of the clans of Israel.
  2. Moses and Aaron took these men whose names had been given,
  3. and they called the whole community together on the first day of the second month. The people indicated their ancestry by their clans and families, and the men twenty years old or more were listed by name, one by one,
  4. as the LORD commanded Moses. And so he counted them in the Desert of Sinai:
  5. From the descendants of Reuben the firstborn son of Israel: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, one by one, according to the records of their clans and families.
  1. 그들은 회중에서 부름을 받은 자요 그 조상 지파의 지휘관으로서 이스라엘 종족들의 우두머리라
  2. 모세와 아론이 지명된 이 사람들을 데리고
  3. 둘째 달 첫째 날에 온 회중을 모으니 그들이 각 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상인 남자의 이름을 자기 계통별로 신고하매
  4. 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 그가 시내 광야에서 그들을 계수하였더라
  5. 이스라엘의 장자 르우벤의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 각 남자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  1. The number from the tribe of Reuben was 46,500.
  2. From the descendants of Simeon: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were counted and listed by name, one by one, according to the records of their clans and families.
  3. The number from the tribe of Simeon was 59,300.
  4. From the descendants of Gad: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
  5. The number from the tribe of Gad was 45,650.
  1. 르우벤 지파에서 계수된 자는 사만 육천오백 명이었더라
  2. 시므온의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 각 남자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  3. 시므온 지파에서 계수된 자는 오만 구천삼백 명이었더라
  4. 갓의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  5. 갓 지파에서 계수된 자는 사만 오천육백오십 명이었더라
  1. From the descendants of Judah: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
  2. The number from the tribe of Judah was 74,600.
  3. From the descendants of Issachar: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
  4. The number from the tribe of Issachar was 54,400.
  5. From the descendants of Zebulun: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
  1. 유다의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  2. 유다 지파에서 계수된 자는 칠만 사천육백 명이었더라
  3. 잇사갈의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  4. 잇사갈 지파에서 계수된 자는 오만 사천사백 명이었더라
  5. 스불론의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  1. The number from the tribe of Zebulun was 57,400.
  2. From the sons of Joseph: From the descendants of Ephraim: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
  3. The number from the tribe of Ephraim was 40,500.
  4. From the descendants of Manasseh: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
  5. The number from the tribe of Manasseh was 32,200.
  1. 스불론 지파에서 계수된 자는 오만 칠천사백 명이었더라
  2. 요셉의 아들 에브라임의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  3. 에브라임 지파에서 계수된 자는 사만 오백 명이었더라
  4. 므낫세의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  5. 므낫세 지파에서 계수된 자는 삼만 이천이백 명이었더라
  1. From the descendants of Benjamin: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
  2. The number from the tribe of Benjamin was 35,400.
  3. From the descendants of Dan: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
  4. The number from the tribe of Dan was 62,700.
  5. From the descendants of Asher: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
  1. 베냐민의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  2. 베냐민 지파에서 계수된 자는 삼만 오천사백 명이었더라
  3. 단의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  4. 단 지파에서 계수된 자는 육만 이천칠백 명이었더라
  5. 아셀의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  1. The number from the tribe of Asher was 41,500.
  2. From the descendants of Naphtali: All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families.
  3. The number from the tribe of Naphtali was 53,400.
  4. These were the men counted by Moses and Aaron and the twelve leaders of Israel, each one representing his family.
  5. All the Israelites twenty years old or more who were able to serve in Israel's army were counted according to their families.
  1. 아셀 지파에서 계수된 자는 사만 천오백 명이었더라
  2. 납달리의 아들들에게서 난 자를 그들의 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 자를 그 명수대로 다 계수하니
  3. 납달리 지파에서 계수된 자는 오만 삼천사백 명이었더라
  4. 이 계수함을 받은 자는 모세와 아론과 각기 이스라엘 조상의 가문을 대표한 열두 지휘관이 계수하였더라
  5. 이같이 이스라엘 자손이 그 조상의 가문을 따라 이십 세 이상으로 싸움에 나갈 만한 이스라엘 자손이 다 계수되었으니
  1. The total number was 603,550.
  2. The families of the tribe of Levi, however, were not counted along with the others.
  3. The LORD had said to Moses:
  4. "You must not count the tribe of Levi or include them in the census of the other Israelites.
  5. Instead, appoint the Levites to be in charge of the tabernacle of the Testimony--over all its furnishings and everything belonging to it. They are to carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; they are to take care of it and encamp around it.
  1. 계수된 자의 총계는 육십만 삼천오백오십 명이었더라
  2. 그러나 레위인은 그들의 조상의 지파대로 그 계수에 들지 아니하였으니
  3. 이는 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되
  4. 너는 레위 지파만은 계수하지 말며 그들을 이스라엘 자손 계수 중에 넣지 말고
  5. 그들에게 증거의 성막과 그 모든 기구와 그 모든 부속품을 관리하게 하라 그들은 그 성막과 그 모든 기구를 운반하며 거기서 봉사하며 성막 주위에 진을 칠지며
  1. Whenever the tabernacle is to move, the Levites are to take it down, and whenever the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall do it. Anyone else who goes near it shall be put to death.
  2. The Israelites are to set up their tents by divisions, each man in his own camp under his own standard.
  3. The Levites, however, are to set up their tents around the tabernacle of the Testimony so that wrath will not fall on the Israelite community. The Levites are to be responsible for the care of the tabernacle of the Testimony."
  4. The Israelites did all this just as the LORD commanded Moses.
  1. 성막을 운반할 때에는 레위인이 그것을 걷고 성막을 세울 때에는 레위인이 그것을 세울 것이요 외인이 가까이 오면 죽일지며
  2. 이스라엘 자손은 막사를 치되 그 진영별로 각각 그 진영과 군기 곁에 칠 것이나
  3. 레위인은 증거의 성막 사방에 진을 쳐서 이스라엘 자손의 회중에게 진노가 임하지 않게 할 것이라 레위인은 증거의 성막에 대한 책임을 지킬지니라 하셨음이라
  4. 이스라엘 자손이 그대로 행하되 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 행하였더라
