민수기 8:1-9:23

 하나님을 섬기기 위해 레위인은 죄로부터 정결케 되는 의식을 행하였다. 회막에서 봉사하는 레위인들의 연령은 25세부터 50세까지였다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘 자손들에게 유월절 행사를 지키도록 명령하셨고, 40년 광야 생활 동안 불과 구름 기둥으로 인도하셨다.
  
  레위인의 성결(8:1-8:26)    
 
  1. The LORD said to Moses,
  2. "Speak to Aaron and say to him, 'When you set up the seven lamps, they are to light the area in front of the lampstand.' "
  3. Aaron did so; he set up the lamps so that they faced forward on the lampstand, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
  4. This is how the lampstand was made: It was made of hammered gold--from its base to its blossoms. The lampstand was made exactly like the pattern the LORD had shown Moses.
  5. The LORD said to Moses:
  1. 야훼께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "너는 아론에게 등불을 차려놓을 때 등잔 일곱 개가 등잔대 앞 맞은쪽을 비추도록 놓으라고 일러라."
  3. 아론은 그대로 하여 야훼께서 모세에게 지시하신 대로 그 등잔들이 등잔대 앞 맞은쪽에 비추도록 차려놓았다.
  4. 이 등잔대는 금을 두드려서 만들었는데 원대뿐 아니라 꽃잎 모양까지도 두드려서 만들었다. 야훼께서 모세에게 보여주신 보기와 똑같이 이 등잔대는 만들어졌다.
  5. 야훼께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  1. "Take the Levites from among the other Israelites and make them ceremonially clean.
  2. To purify them, do this: Sprinkle the water of cleansing on them; then have them shave their whole bodies and wash their clothes, and so purify themselves.
  3. Have them take a young bull with its grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil; then you are to take a second young bull for a sin offering.
  4. Bring the Levites to the front of the Tent of Meeting and assemble the whole Israelite community.
  5. You are to bring the Levites before the LORD, and the Israelites are to lay their hands on them.
  1. "너는 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 레위인들을 뽑아 정화시켜야 한다.
  2. 그들을 정화시키는 일은 이렇게 하여야 한다. 죄를 벗기는 물을 뿌린 다음 온몸을 배코칼로 밀고 옷을 빨아 입게 하여라. 그리하면 정하게 된다.
  3. 그런 다음 번제로 바칠 중송아지 한 마리를 끌어오고 곁들여 바칠 곡식예물로 기름에 반죽한 밀가루를 가져오너라. 너는 또 속죄제물로 바칠 중송아지 한 마리를 끌어와야 한다.
  4. 그리고 너는 레위인들을 만남의 장막 앞에 나서게 하고, 이스라엘 백성 온 회중을 모아야 한다.
  5. 네가 레위인들을 야훼 앞에 나서게 하면, 이스라엘 백성이 레위인들에게 손을 얹을 것이다.
  1. Aaron is to present the Levites before the LORD as a wave offering from the Israelites, so that they may be ready to do the work of the LORD.
  2. "After the Levites lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, use the one for a sin offering to the LORD and the other for a burnt offering, to make atonement for the Levites.
  3. Have the Levites stand in front of Aaron and his sons and then present them as a wave offering to the LORD.
  4. In this way you are to set the Levites apart from the other Israelites, and the Levites will be mine.
  5. "After you have purified the Levites and presented them as a wave offering, they are to come to do their work at the Tent of Meeting.
  1. 그리고 아론이 레위인들을 이스라엘 백성이 바치는 예물로 야훼 앞에 흔들어 바치는 식을 올리고 나서야 그들은 야훼께 봉사하는 일을 맡아 하게 된다.
  2. 레위인들이 중송아지의 머리에 손을 얹은 다음, 너는 그 한 마리를 속죄제물로, 또 한 마리는 번제물로 야훼께 바쳐 레위인들의 죄를 벗기는 예식을 올려라.
  3. 이렇게 네가 레위인들을 아론과 그의 아들들 앞에 나서게 하고, 야훼께 그들을 흔들어 바쳐서
  4. 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 따로 갈라 세우면, 레위인들은 나의 것이 된다.
  5. 이렇게 한 다음에야 레위인들은 만남의 장막으로 봉사하러 들어갈 수 있다. 너는 그들을 이렇게 정화시킨 다음 흔들어 바치는 예식을 올려야 한다.
  1. They are the Israelites who are to be given wholly to me. I have taken them as my own in place of the firstborn, the first male offspring from every Israelite woman.
  2. Every firstborn male in Israel, whether man or animal, is mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set them apart for myself.
  3. And I have taken the Levites in place of all the firstborn sons in Israel.
  4. Of all the Israelites, I have given the Levites as gifts to Aaron and his sons to do the work at the Tent of Meeting on behalf of the Israelites and to make atonement for them so that no plague will strike the Israelites when they go near the sanctuary."
  5. Moses, Aaron and the whole Israelite community did with the Levites just as the LORD commanded Moses.
  1. 그들은 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 뽑혀 나를 섬길 성직자가 된 것이다. 나는 그들을 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 처음으로 모태를 여는 모든 맏이 대신 나의 것으로 삼았다.
  2. 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 처음 난 것은 사람이건 짐승이건 다 나의 것이다. 내가 이집트 땅에서 모든 맏이를 죽이던 날, 나는 그들을 거룩하게 나의 것으로 삼았다.
  3. 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 모든 맏이 대신 나는 레위인들을 뽑았다.
  4. 나는 이 레위인들을 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 뽑아 아론과 그의 후손의 성직을 보좌하는 자들로 임명한다. 그들은 만남의 장막에서 이스라엘 백성이 드릴 예배를 대신 맡아 봉사하며 이스라엘 백성을 가려주어, 이스라엘 백성 중에 누구든지 성소로 나오다가 화를 입는 사람이 없도록 할 것이다."
  5. 모세와 아론과 이스라엘 백성 온 회중은 레위인들에게 그대로 하였다. 야훼께서 레위인들에게 해주라고 모세에게 지시하신 대로 이스라엘 백성은 어김없이 그대로 다 해주었다.
  1. The Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes. Then Aaron presented them as a wave offering before the LORD and made atonement for them to purify them.
  2. After that, the Levites came to do their work at the Tent of Meeting under the supervision of Aaron and his sons. They did with the Levites just as the LORD commanded Moses.
  3. The LORD said to Moses,
  4. "This applies to the Levites: Men twenty-five years old or more shall come to take part in the work at the Tent of Meeting,
  5. but at the age of fifty, they must retire from their regular service and work no longer.
  1. 레위인들의 죄를 씻어버리고 옷을 빨아 입힌 다음 아론은 그들을 야훼 앞에 바쳤다. 아론은 그들의 죄를 벗기는 예식을 올려 그들을 정화시켰다.
  2. 이리하여 레위인들은 만남의 장막으로 들어가 아론과 그의 아들들 밑에서 맡은 일을 할 수 있게 되었다. 야훼께서 레위인에게 해주라고 모세에게 지시하신 대로 다 해주었던 것이다.
  3. 야훼께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  4. "레위인들은 이렇게 해야 한다. 레위인들은 스물다섯 살이 되면 만남의 장막에서 맡은 임무를 수행하기 시작하고,
  5. 쉰 살이 되면 은퇴하여 더 일을 하지 않아도 된다.
  1. They may assist their brothers in performing their duties at the Tent of Meeting, but they themselves must not do the work. This, then, is how you are to assign the responsibilities of the Levites."
  1. 그는 만남의 장막에서 형제들의 일을 거들 수는 있으나 그 일을 맡아 하지는 못한다. 이렇게 레위인들이 직책을 수행하게 하여라."
 
  유월절(9:1-9:23)    
 
  1. The LORD spoke to Moses in the Desert of Sinai in the first month of the second year after they came out of Egypt. He said,
  2. "Have the Israelites celebrate the Passover at the appointed time.
  3. Celebrate it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month, in accordance with all its rules and regulations."
  4. So Moses told the Israelites to celebrate the Passover,
  5. and they did so in the Desert of Sinai at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD commanded Moses.
  1. 이스라엘 백성이 이집트 땅에서 나온 이듬해 정월, 야훼께서 시나이 광야에서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "이스라엘 백성은 정해진 때에 과월절을 지켜야 한다.
  3. 그 정해진 때, 즉 이 달 십사일 해거름에 과월절을 지키는데 규정과 관습을 하나도 빠뜨리지 말고 모두 따라야 한다."
  4. 모세는 이스라엘 백성에게 규정대로 과월절을 지키라고 일렀다.
  5. 정월 십사일 해거름에 그들은 시나이 광야에서 과월절을 지켰다. 야훼께서 모세에게 지시하신 대로 이스라엘 백성은 과월절을 지켰던 것이다.
  1. But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day
  2. and said to Moses, "We have become unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be kept from presenting the LORD's offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?"
  3. Moses answered them, "Wait until I find out what the LORD commands concerning you."
  4. Then the LORD said to Moses,
  5. "Tell the Israelites: 'When any of you or your descendants are unclean because of a dead body or are away on a journey, they may still celebrate the LORD's Passover.
  1. 그런데 시체에 몸이 닿아 부정을 타서, 바로 그 날 과월절을 지키지 못할 사람들이 생겼다. 그들이 모세와 아론 앞에 나와서
  2. 아뢰었다. "우리는 시체에 닿아 부정을 탔습니다. 그렇다고 해서 우리가 이스라엘 백성으로서 이 정해진 날 야훼께 예물을 바치지 못한대서야 되겠습니까?"
  3. 모세가 그들에게 대답하였다. "거기에서 기다려라. 야훼께서 너희에게 무슨 지시를 내리실지, 그 말씀을 들어봐야겠다."
  4. 야훼께서 모세에게 대답하셨다.
  5. "너는 이스라엘 백성에게 일러라. '너희뿐 아니라 대대손손 어느 누구라도 시체에 닿아 부정을 탔거나, 먼 길을 떠난 사람으로서 과월절을 지키고 싶으면,
  1. They are to celebrate it on the fourteenth day of the second month at twilight. They are to eat the lamb, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
  2. They must not leave any of it till morning or break any of its bones. When they celebrate the Passover, they must follow all the regulations.
  3. But if a man who is ceremonially clean and not on a journey fails to celebrate the Passover, that person must be cut off from his people because he did not present the LORD's offering at the appointed time. That man will bear the consequences of his sin.
  4. " 'An alien living among you who wants to celebrate the LORD's Passover must do so in accordance with its rules and regulations. You must have the same regulations for the alien and the native-born.' "
  5. On the day the tabernacle, the Tent of the Testimony, was set up, the cloud covered it. From evening till morning the cloud above the tabernacle looked like fire.
  1. 이월 십사일 해거름에 누룩 안 든 떡과 쓴 나물을 함께 먹으며 과월절을 지키도록 하여라.
  2. 다음날 아침까지 아무것도 남겨서는 안 되며 뼈다귀 하나라도 부러뜨려서는 안 된다. 이 과월절의 규정을 모두 어김없이 그대로 지켜야 한다.
  3. 그러나 정한 사람이나 길을 떠나지 않은 사람으로서 과월절을 지키다가 그만두면, 그는 겨레에서 추방당해야 한다. 정해진 때 야훼께 예물을 바치지 않았기 때문이다. 그런 사람은 죄를 벗을 길이 없다.
  4. 너희에게 몸붙여 사는 외국인도 야훼께 과월절을 지키고자 하면, 과월절 규정과 그 관습을 따라야 한다. 외국인도 본토인도 같은 규정을 따라야 한다.'"
  5. 성막을 세우던 날, 구름이 증거의 장막 곧 성막을 덮었다. 그러나 저녁이 되면 그 구름은 성막 위에서 아침까지 불처럼 빛났다.
  1. That is how it continued to be; the cloud covered it, and at night it looked like fire.
  2. Whenever the cloud lifted from above the Tent, the Israelites set out; wherever the cloud settled, the Israelites encamped.
  3. At the LORD's command the Israelites set out, and at his command they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they remained in camp.
  4. When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a long time, the Israelites obeyed the LORD's order and did not set out.
  5. Sometimes the cloud was over the tabernacle only a few days; at the LORD's command they would encamp, and then at his command they would set out.
  1. 그 구름은 그렇게 성막을 늘 덮고 있었으며, 밤만 되면 불처럼 빛났다.
  2. 이스라엘 백성은 그 구름이 만남의 장막에서 걷혀 올라간 후에라야만 길을 떠날 수 있었다. 그리고 그 구름이 내려와 머무는 곳에 진을 쳤다.
  3. 이렇게 이스라엘 백성은 야훼의 말씀을 따라 길을 떠나고 야훼의 말씀을 따라 진을 쳤다. 그 구름이 성막 위에 머물러 있는 동안, 그들은 진을 옮기지 않았다.
  4. 그 구름이 성막 위에 여러 날 머물러 있으면 이스라엘 백성들은 자리를 뜨지 않고 야훼께 예식을 올렸다.
  5. 그 구름이 성막 위에 며칠밖에 머물러 있지 않을 때도 있었는데 그럴 때에도 그들은 야훼의 말씀을 따라 진을 쳤다가 야훼의 말씀을 따라 자리를 뜨곤 하였다.
  1. Sometimes the cloud stayed only from evening till morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they set out. Whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud lifted, they set out.
  2. Whether the cloud stayed over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a year, the Israelites would remain in camp and not set out; but when it lifted, they would set out.
  3. At the LORD's command they encamped, and at the LORD's command they set out. They obeyed the LORD's order, in accordance with his command through Moses.
  1. 그 구름이 저녁부터 아침까지만 머물러 있는 때도 있었다. 그럴 때에는 아침이 되어 구름이 걷혀 올라가는 대로 그들은 길을 떠났다. 낮이건 밤이건 구름만 걷혀 올라가면 길을 떠났다.
  2. 혹은 그 구름이 이틀이고 한 달이고 한 해고, 오래 성막 위에 머물러 있으면 이스라엘 백성은 진을 친 채 길 떠날 생각을 하지 않았다. 그 구름이 걷혀 올라가야 길을 떠났다.
  3. 이렇게 그들은 야훼의 말씀을 따라 진을 치기도 하고 길을 떠나기도 하였다. 야훼께 예식을 올려야 할 경우가 생기면, 야훼께서 모세를 시켜 말씀하신 대로 올렸다.
