민수기 8:1-9:23

 하나님을 섬기기 위해 레위인은 죄로부터 정결케 되는 의식을 행하였다. 회막에서 봉사하는 레위인들의 연령은 25세부터 50세까지였다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘 자손들에게 유월절 행사를 지키도록 명령하셨고, 40년 광야 생활 동안 불과 구름 기둥으로 인도하셨다.
  
  레위인의 성결(8:1-8:26)    
 
  1. The LORD said to Moses,
  2. "Speak to Aaron and say to him, 'When you set up the seven lamps, they are to light the area in front of the lampstand.' "
  3. Aaron did so; he set up the lamps so that they faced forward on the lampstand, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
  4. This is how the lampstand was made: It was made of hammered gold--from its base to its blossoms. The lampstand was made exactly like the pattern the LORD had shown Moses.
  5. The LORD said to Moses:
  1. 主は モ ― セ に 言われた，
  2. 「アロン に 言いなさい， 『あなたがともし 火をともす 時は， 七つのともし 火で 燭台の 前方を 照すようにしなさい 』」．
  3. アロン はそのようにした． すなわち， 主が モ ― セ に 命じられたように， 燭台の 前方を 照すように， ともし 火をともした．
  4. 燭台の 造りは 次のとおりである． それは 金の 打ち 物で， その 台もその 花も 共に 打物造りであった． モ ― セ は 主に 示された 型にしたがって， そのようにその 燭台を 造った．

  1. "Take the Levites from among the other Israelites and make them ceremonially clean.
  2. To purify them, do this: Sprinkle the water of cleansing on them; then have them shave their whole bodies and wash their clothes, and so purify themselves.
  3. Have them take a young bull with its grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil; then you are to take a second young bull for a sin offering.
  4. Bring the Levites to the front of the Tent of Meeting and assemble the whole Israelite community.
  5. You are to bring the Levites before the LORD, and the Israelites are to lay their hands on them.
  1. 「レビ びとを イスラエル の 人¿のうちから 取って， 彼らを 淸めなさい．
  2. あなたはこのようにして 彼らを 淸めなければならない． すなわち， 罪を 淸める 水を 彼らに 注ぎかけ， 彼らに 全身をそらせ， 衣服を 洗わせて， 身を 淸めさせ，
  3. そして 彼らに 若い 雄牛一頭と， 油を 混ぜた 麥粉の 素祭とを 取らせなさい． あなたはまた， ほかに 若い 雄牛を 罪祭のために 取らなければならない．
  4. そして， あなたは レビ びとを 會見の 幕屋の 前に 連れてきて， イスラエル の 人¿の 全會衆を 集め，
  5. レビ びとを 主の 前に 進ませ， イスラエル の 人¿をして， 手を レビ びとの 上に 置かせなければならない．
  1. Aaron is to present the Levites before the LORD as a wave offering from the Israelites, so that they may be ready to do the work of the LORD.
  2. "After the Levites lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, use the one for a sin offering to the LORD and the other for a burnt offering, to make atonement for the Levites.
  3. Have the Levites stand in front of Aaron and his sons and then present them as a wave offering to the LORD.
  4. In this way you are to set the Levites apart from the other Israelites, and the Levites will be mine.
  5. "After you have purified the Levites and presented them as a wave offering, they are to come to do their work at the Tent of Meeting.
  1. そして アロン は， レビ びとを イスラエル の 人¿のささげる ¿祭として， 主の 前にささげなければならない． これは 彼らに 主の 務をさせるためである．
  2. それからあなたは レビ びとをして， 手をかの 雄牛の 頭の 上に 置かせ， その 一つを 罪祭とし， 一つを §祭として 主にささげ， レビ びとのために 罪のあがないをしなければならない．
  3. あなたは レビ びとを， アロン とその 子たちの 前に 立たせ， これを ¿祭として 主にささげなければならない．

  1. They are the Israelites who are to be given wholly to me. I have taken them as my own in place of the firstborn, the first male offspring from every Israelite woman.
  2. Every firstborn male in Israel, whether man or animal, is mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set them apart for myself.
  3. And I have taken the Levites in place of all the firstborn sons in Israel.
  4. Of all the Israelites, I have given the Levites as gifts to Aaron and his sons to do the work at the Tent of Meeting on behalf of the Israelites and to make atonement for them so that no plague will strike the Israelites when they go near the sanctuary."
  5. Moses, Aaron and the whole Israelite community did with the Levites just as the LORD commanded Moses.
  1. 彼らは イスラエル の 人¿のうちから， 全くわたしにささげられたものだからである． イスラエル の 人¿のうちの 初めに 生れた 者， すなわち， すべてのういごの 代りに， わたしは 彼らを 取ってわたしのものとした．
  2. イスラエル の 人¿のうちのういごは， 人も ¿も， みなわたしのものだからである． わたしは エジプト の 地で， すべてのういごを 擊ち 殺した 日に， 彼らを 聖別してわたしのものとした．
  3. それでわたしは イスラエル の 人¿のうちの， すべてのういごの 代りに レビ びとを 取った．
  4. わたしは イスラエル の 人¿のうちから レビ びとを 取って， アロン とその 子たちに 與え， 彼らに 會見の 幕屋で， イスラエル の 人¿に 代って 務をさせ， また イスラエル の 人¿のために 罪のあがないをさせるであろう． これは イスラエル の 人¿が， 聖所に 近づいて， イスラエル の 人¿のうちに 災の 起ることのないようにするためである 」．
  5. モ ― セ と アロン ， および イスラエル の 人¿の 全會衆は， すべて 主が レビ びとの 事につき， モ ― セ に 命じられた 所にしたがって， レビ びとに 行った， すなわち， イスラエル の 人¿は， そのように 彼らに 行った．
  1. The Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes. Then Aaron presented them as a wave offering before the LORD and made atonement for them to purify them.
  2. After that, the Levites came to do their work at the Tent of Meeting under the supervision of Aaron and his sons. They did with the Levites just as the LORD commanded Moses.
  3. The LORD said to Moses,
  4. "This applies to the Levites: Men twenty-five years old or more shall come to take part in the work at the Tent of Meeting,
  5. but at the age of fifty, they must retire from their regular service and work no longer.
  1. そこで レビ びとは 身を 淸め， その 衣服を 洗った． アロン は 彼らを 主の 前にささげて ¿祭とした． アロン はまた 彼らのために， 罪のあがないをして 彼らを 淸めた．
  2. こうして 後， レビ びとは 會見の 幕屋にはいって， アロン とその 子たちに 仕えて 務をした． すなわち， 彼らは レビ びとの 事について， 主が モ ― セ に 命じられた 所にしたがって， そのように 彼らに 行った．
  3. 主はまた モ ― セ に 言われた，
  4. 「レビ びとは 次のようにしなければならない． すなわち， 二十五歲以上の 者は 務につき， 會見の 幕屋の ¿きをしなければならない．
  5. しかし， 五十歲からは 務の ¿きを 退き， 重ねて 務をしてはならない．
  1. They may assist their brothers in performing their duties at the Tent of Meeting, but they themselves must not do the work. This, then, is how you are to assign the responsibilities of the Levites."
  1. ただ， 會見の 幕屋でその 兄弟たちの 務の 助けをすることができる． しかし， 務をしてはならない． あなたが レビ びとにその 務をさせるには， このようにしなければならない 」．
 
  유월절(9:1-9:23)    
 
  1. The LORD spoke to Moses in the Desert of Sinai in the first month of the second year after they came out of Egypt. He said,
  2. "Have the Israelites celebrate the Passover at the appointed time.
  3. Celebrate it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month, in accordance with all its rules and regulations."
  4. So Moses told the Israelites to celebrate the Passover,
  5. and they did so in the Desert of Sinai at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD commanded Moses.
  1. エジプト の 國を 出た 次の 年の 正月， 主は シナイ の 荒野で モ ― セ に 言われた，
  2. 「イスラエル の 人¿に， 過越の 祭を 定めの 時に 行わせなさい．
  3. この 月の 十四日の 夕暮， 定めの 時に， それを 行わなければならない． あなたがたは， そのすべての 定めと， そのすべてのおきてにしたがって， それを 行わなければならない 」．
  4. そこで モ ― セ が イスラエル の 人¿に， 過越の 祭を 行わなければならないと 言ったので，
  5. 彼らは 正月の 十四日の 夕暮， シナイ の 荒野で 過越の 祭を 行った． すなわち， イスラエル の 人¿は， すべて 主が モ ― セ に 命じられたようにおこなった．
  1. But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day
  2. and said to Moses, "We have become unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be kept from presenting the LORD's offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?"
  3. Moses answered them, "Wait until I find out what the LORD commands concerning you."
  4. Then the LORD said to Moses,
  5. "Tell the Israelites: 'When any of you or your descendants are unclean because of a dead body or are away on a journey, they may still celebrate the LORD's Passover.
  1. ところが 人の 死體に 觸れて 身を 汚したために， その 日に 過越の 祭を 行うことのできない 人¿があって， その 日 モ ― セ と アロン の 前にきて，
  2. その 人¿は 彼に 言った， 「わたしたちは 人の 死體に 觸れて 身を 汚しましたが， なぜその 定めの 時に， イスラエル の 人¿と 共に， 主に 供え 物をささげることができないのですか 」．
  3. モ ― セ は 彼らに 言った， 「しばらく 待て． 主があなたがたについて， どう 仰せになるかを 聞こう 」．
  4. 主は モ ― セ に 言われた，
  5. 「イスラエル の 人¿に 言いなさい， 『あなたがたのうち， また， あなたがたの 子孫のうち， 死體に 觸れて 身を 汚した 人も， 遠い 旅路にある 人も， なお， 過越の 祭を 主に 對して 行うことができるであろう．
  1. They are to celebrate it on the fourteenth day of the second month at twilight. They are to eat the lamb, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
  2. They must not leave any of it till morning or break any of its bones. When they celebrate the Passover, they must follow all the regulations.
  3. But if a man who is ceremonially clean and not on a journey fails to celebrate the Passover, that person must be cut off from his people because he did not present the LORD's offering at the appointed time. That man will bear the consequences of his sin.
  4. " 'An alien living among you who wants to celebrate the LORD's Passover must do so in accordance with its rules and regulations. You must have the same regulations for the alien and the native-born.' "
  5. On the day the tabernacle, the Tent of the Testimony, was set up, the cloud covered it. From evening till morning the cloud above the tabernacle looked like fire.
  1. すなわち， 二月の 十四日の 夕暮， それを 行い， 種入れぬ パン と 苦菜を 添えて， それを 食べなければならない．
  2. これを 少しでも 朝まで 殘しておいてはならない． またその 骨は 一本でも 折ってはならない． 過越の 祭のすべての 定めにしたがってこれを 行わなければならない．
  3. しかし， その 身は 淸く， 旅に 出てもいないのに， 過越の 祭を 行わないときは， その 人は 民のうちから 斷たれるであろう． このような 人は， 定めの 時に 主の 供え 物をささげないゆえ， その 罪を 負わなければならない．
  4. もし 他國の 人が， あなたがたのうちに 寄留していて， 主に 對して 過越の 祭を 行おうとするならば， 過越の 祭の 定めにより， そのおきてにしたがって， これを 行わなければならない． あなたがたは 他國の 人にも， 自國の 人にも， 同一の 定めを 用いなければならない 』」．
  5. 幕屋を 建てた 日に， 雲は 幕屋をおおった． すれはすなわち， あかしの 幕屋であって， 夕には， 幕屋の 上に， 雲は 火のように 見えて， 朝にまで 及んだ．
  1. That is how it continued to be; the cloud covered it, and at night it looked like fire.
  2. Whenever the cloud lifted from above the Tent, the Israelites set out; wherever the cloud settled, the Israelites encamped.
  3. At the LORD's command the Israelites set out, and at his command they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they remained in camp.
  4. When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a long time, the Israelites obeyed the LORD's order and did not set out.
  5. Sometimes the cloud was over the tabernacle only a few days; at the LORD's command they would encamp, and then at his command they would set out.
  1. 常にそうであって， ¿は 雲がそれをおおい， 夜は 火のように 見えた．
  2. 雲が 幕屋を 離れてのぼる 時は， イスラエル の 人¿は， ただちに 道に 進んだ． また 雲がとどまる 所に， イスラエル の 人¿は 宿營した．
  3. すなわち， イスラエル の 人¿は， 主の 命によって 道に 進み， 主の 命によって 宿營し， 幕屋の 上に 雲がとどまっている 間は， 宿營していた．
  4. 幕屋の 上に， 日久しく 雲のとどまる 時は， イスラエル の 人¿は 主の 言いつけを 守って， 道に 進まなかった．
  5. また 幕屋の 上に， 雲のとどまる 日の 少ない 時もあったが， 彼らは， ただ 主の 命にしたがって 宿營し， 主の 命にしたがって， 道に 進んだ．
  1. Sometimes the cloud stayed only from evening till morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they set out. Whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud lifted, they set out.
  2. Whether the cloud stayed over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a year, the Israelites would remain in camp and not set out; but when it lifted, they would set out.
  3. At the LORD's command they encamped, and at the LORD's command they set out. They obeyed the LORD's order, in accordance with his command through Moses.
  1. また 雲は 夕から 朝まで， とどまることもあったが， 朝になって， 雲がのぼる 時は， 彼らは 道に 進んだ． また ¿でも 夜でも， 雲がのぼる 時は， 彼らは 道に 進んだ．
  2. ふつかでも， 一か 月でも， あるいはそれ 以上でも， 幕屋の 上に， 雲がとどまっている 間は， イスラエル の 人¿は 宿營していて， 道に 進まなかったが， それがのぼると 道に 進んだ．
  3. すなわち， 彼らは 主の 命にしたがって 宿營し， 主の 命にしたがって 道に 進み， モ ― セ によって， 主が 命じられたとおりに， 主の 言いつけを 守った．
