  1. Therefore the LORD was angry with his people and abhorred his inheritance.
  2. He handed them over to the nations, and their foes ruled over them.
  3. Their enemies oppressed them and subjected them to their power.
  4. Many times he delivered them, but they were bent on rebellion and they wasted away in their sin.
  5. But he took note of their distress when he heard their cry;
  1. Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
  2. And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
  3. Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
  4. Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.
  5. Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:
  1. for their sake he remembered his covenant and out of his great love he relented.
  2. He caused them to be pitied by all who held them captive.
  3. Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise.
  4. Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, "Amen!" Praise the LORD.
  1. And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
  2. He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.
  3. Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
  4. Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.
