  1. Then Elihu said:
  2. "Hear my words, you wise men; listen to me, you men of learning.
  3. For the ear tests words as the tongue tastes food.
  4. Let us discern for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what is good.
  5. "Job says, 'I am innocent, but God denies me justice.

  2. ÁöÇý¸¦ ÀÚ¶ûÇϽô ¾î¸¥µé²²¼­´Â ³» ¸»À» µéÀ¸½Ã±â ¹Ù¶ø´Ï´Ù. ¾Æ´Â °ÍÀÌ ¸¹´Ù°í ÀÚºÎÇϽô ¼¼ ºÐ²²¼­ ³»°Ô ±Í¸¦ ±â¿ï¿© Áֽñ⠹ٶø´Ï´Ù.

  5. ¿é ¾î¸¥Àº ÀÌ·¸°Ô ÁÖÀåÇϽʴϴÙ. "³ª´Â ¿Ç°Ô »ì¾Ò´Âµ¥µµ, Çϳª´ÔÀº ³ªÀÇ ¿ÇÀ½À» ¿Ç°Ô ¿©±âÁö ¾ÊÀ¸½Å´Ù."
  1. Although I am right, I am considered a liar; although I am guiltless, his arrow inflicts an incurable wound.'
  2. What man is like Job, who drinks scorn like water?
  3. He keeps company with evildoers; he associates with wicked men.
  4. For he says, 'It profits a man nothing when he tries to please God.'
  5. "So listen to me, you men of understanding. Far be it from God to do evil, from the Almighty to do wrong.

  5. ºÐº°·ÂÀÌ ¸¹À¸½Å ¿©·¯ºÐÀº ³»°¡ ÇÏ´Â ¸»À» µé¾î º¸½Ã±â ¹Ù¶ø´Ï´Ù. Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ¾ÇÇÑ ÀÏÀ» ÇÏ½Ç ¼ö ÀÖ½À´Ï±î? Àü´ÉÇϽŠºÐ²²¼­ ¿ÇÁö ¾ÊÀº ÀÏÀ» ÇÏ½Ç ¼ö ÀÖ½À´Ï±î?
  1. He repays a man for what he has done; he brings upon him what his conduct deserves.
  2. It is unthinkable that God would do wrong, that the Almighty would pervert justice.
  3. Who appointed him over the earth? Who put him in charge of the whole world?
  4. If it were his intention and he withdrew his spirit and breath,
  5. all mankind would perish together and man would return to the dust.

  4. ¸¸ÀÏ Çϳª´ÔÀÌ °á½ÉÇϽðí, »ý¸íÀ» ÁÖ´Â ¿µÀ» °ÅµÎ¾î °¡½Ã¸é,

  1. "If you have understanding, hear this; listen to what I say.
  2. Can he who hates justice govern? Will you condemn the just and mighty One?
  3. Is he not the One who says to kings, 'You are worthless,' and to nobles, 'You are wicked,'
  4. who shows no partiality to princes and does not favor the rich over the poor, for they are all the work of his hands?
  5. They die in an instant, in the middle of the night; the people are shaken and they pass away; the mighty are removed without human hand.

  4. Çϳª´ÔÀº ÅëÄ¡ÀÚÀÇ ÆíÀ» µéÁöµµ ¾ÊÀ¸½Ã°í, ºÎÀÚ¶ó°í ÇÏ¿©, °¡³­ÇÑ »ç¶÷º¸´Ù ´õ ¿ì´ëÇØ ÁÖÁöµµ ¾ÊÀ¸½Ê´Ï´Ù. Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ¼Õ¼ö ÀÌ »ç¶÷µéÀ» ÁöÀ¸¼Ì±â ¶§¹®ÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
  5. »ç¶÷Àº »ð½Ã°£¿¡, ¾Æ´Ï ÇѹãÁß¿¡¶óµµ Á×½À´Ï´Ù. Çϳª´ÔÀÌ »ç¶÷À» Ä¡½Ã¸é, »ç¶÷Àº Á×½À´Ï´Ù. ¾Æ¹«¸® Èû¼¾ °ÍÀ̶ó°í ÇÏ´õ¶óµµ, Çϳª´ÔÀº ±×°ÍÀ» °£´ÜÈ÷ Á×ÀÌ½Ç ¼ö ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù.
  1. "His eyes are on the ways of men; he sees their every step.
  2. There is no dark place, no deep shadow, where evildoers can hide.
  3. God has no need to examine men further, that they should come before him for judgment.
  4. Without inquiry he shatters the mighty and sets up others in their place.
  5. Because he takes note of their deeds, he overthrows them in the night and they are crushed.

  2. ¾ÇÇÑ ÀÏÀ» ÇÏ´Â ÀÚµéÀÌ Çϳª´ÔÀ» ÇÇÇÏ¿© ¼ûÀ» °÷Àº ¾ø½À´Ï´Ù. Èæ¾Ï ¼Ó¿¡µµ ¼ûÀ» °÷ÀÌ ¾ø°í, Á×À½ÀÇ ±×´ÃÀÌ µå¸®¿î °÷¿¡µµ ¼ûÀ» °÷Àº ¾ø½À´Ï´Ù.
  3. »ç¶÷ÀÌ ¾ðÁ¦ Çϳª´Ô ¾ÕÀ¸·Î ½ÉÆÇÀ» ¹ÞÀ¸·¯ °¡°Ô µÇ´ÂÁö, ±× ½Ã°£À» Çϳª´ÔÀº Ưº°È÷ Á¤ÇØ ÁÖÁö ¾ÊÀ¸½Ê´Ï´Ù.
  4. Çϳª´ÔÀº Áý±ÇÀÚ¸¦ ¹Ù²Ù½Ç ¶§¿¡µµ, ÀÏÀ» ¹Ì¸® Á¶»çÇÏÁö ¾ÊÀ¸½Ê´Ï´Ù.
  5. Çϳª´ÔÀº ±×µéÀÌ ÇÑ ÀÏÀ» ³Ê¹«³ªµµ Àß ¾Æ½Ã±â ¶§¹®ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ±×µéÀ» ÇÏ·í¹ã¿¡ ´Ù µÚ¾þÀ¸½Ã´Ï, ±×µéÀÌ ÀϽÿ¡ ¾²·¯Áý´Ï´Ù.
  1. He punishes them for their wickedness where everyone can see them,
  2. because they turned from following him and had no regard for any of his ways.
  3. They caused the cry of the poor to come before him, so that he heard the cry of the needy.
  4. But if he remains silent, who can condemn him? If he hides his face, who can see him? Yet he is over man and nation alike,
  5. to keep a godless man from ruling, from laying snares for the people.

  3. ±×·¡¼­ °¡³­ÇÑ »ç¶÷µéÀÇ Çϼҿ¬ÀÌ Çϳª´Ô²² ´Ù´Ù¸£°í, »ì±â ¾î·Á¿î »ç¶÷µéÀÇ ºÎ¸£Â¢À½ÀÌ ±×ºÐ²² µé¸®´Â °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
  4. ±×·¯³ª Çϳª´ÔÀÌ Ä§¹¬ÇϽŴٰí ÇÏ¿©, ´©°¡ °¨È÷ Çϳª´ÔÀ» ºñ³­ÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ°Ú½À´Ï±î? Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ¼ûÀ¸½Å´Ù°í ÇÏ¿©, ´©°¡ ±×ºÐÀ» ºñÆÇÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ°Ú½À´Ï±î?
  5. °æ°ÇÇÏÁö ¸øÇÑ »ç¶÷À» ¿ÕÀ¸·Î »ï¾Æ¼­ °íÁý ¼¾ ¹ÎÁ·°ú ¹é¼ºÀ» ´Ù½º¸®°Ô ÇϽŵé, ´©°¡ Çϳª´Ô²² Ç×ÀÇÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ°Ú½À´Ï±î?
  1. "Suppose a man says to God, 'I am guilty but will offend no more.
  2. Teach me what I cannot see; if I have done wrong, I will not do so again.'
  3. Should God then reward you on your terms, when you refuse to repent? You must decide, not I; so tell me what you know.
  4. "Men of understanding declare, wise men who hear me say to me,
  5. 'Job speaks without knowledge; his words lack insight.'

  5. ¿é ¾î¸¥ÀÌ ¾ËÁöµµ ¸øÇϸ鼭 ¸»À» ÇÏ°í, ±â²¯ ÇÑ ¸»µµ ¸ðµÎ ¶æ ¾ø´Â ¸»»ÓÀ̾ú´Ù´Â °ÍÀ» ¾Ë ¼ö ÀÖÀ» °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
  1. Oh, that Job might be tested to the utmost for answering like a wicked man!
  2. To his sin he adds rebellion; scornfully he claps his hands among us and multiplies his words against God."

  1. Then Elihu said:
  2. "Do you think this is just? You say, 'I will be cleared by God. '
  3. Yet you ask him, 'What profit is it to me, and what do I gain by not sinning?'
  4. "I would like to reply to you and to your friends with you.
  5. Look up at the heavens and see; gaze at the clouds so high above you.

  3. ¶Ç Çϳª´Ô²² "³»°¡ Á˸¦ Áþ´Â´Ù°í ÇÏ¿©, ±×°ÍÀÌ Çϳª´Ô²² ¹«½¼ ¿µÇâÀÌ¶óµµ ¹ÌĨ´Ï±î? ¶Ç Á¦°¡ Á˸¦ ÁþÁö ¾Ê´Â´Ù°í ÇÏ¿©, ³»°¡ ¾ò´Â ÀÌÀÍÀÌ ¹«¾ùÀԴϱî?" ÇÏ°í ¹°À¸½Ã´Âµ¥, ±×°Íµµ ¿ÇÁö ¸øÇÕ´Ï´Ù.

  5. ¿é ¾î¸¥Àº ÇÏ´ÃÀ» º¸½Ã±â ¹Ù¶ø´Ï´Ù. ±¸¸§ÀÌ ¾ó¸¶³ª ³ôÀÌ ÀÖ½À´Ï±î?
  1. If you sin, how does that affect him? If your sins are many, what does that do to him?
  2. If you are righteous, what do you give to him, or what does he receive from your hand?
  3. Your wickedness affects only a man like yourself, and your righteousness only the sons of men.
  4. "Men cry out under a load of oppression; they plead for relief from the arm of the powerful.
  5. But no one says, 'Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night,

  1. who teaches more to us than to the beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds of the air?'
  2. He does not answer when men cry out because of the arrogance of the wicked.
  3. Indeed, God does not listen to their empty plea; the Almighty pays no attention to it.
  4. How much less, then, will he listen when you say that you do not see him, that your case is before him and you must wait for him,

  1. He does not keep the wicked alive but gives the afflicted their rights.
  2. He does not take his eyes off the righteous; he enthrones them with kings and exalts them forever.
  3. But if men are bound in chains, held fast by cords of affliction,
  4. he tells them what they have done-- that they have sinned arrogantly.
  5. He makes them listen to correction and commands them to repent of their evil.

  1. If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity and their years in contentment.
  2. But if they do not listen, they will perish by the sword and die without knowledge.
  3. "The godless in heart harbor resentment; even when he fetters them, they do not cry for help.

  1. "He is wooing you from the jaws of distress to a spacious place free from restriction, to the comfort of your table laden with choice food.
  2. But now you are laden with the judgment due the wicked; judgment and justice have taken hold of you.
  3. Be careful that no one entices you by riches; do not let a large bribe turn you aside.
  4. Would your wealth or even all your mighty efforts sustain you so you would not be in distress?
  5. Do not long for the night, to drag people away from their homes.

  1. Beware of turning to evil, which you seem to prefer to affliction.
  2. "God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?
  3. Who has prescribed his ways for him, or said to him, 'You have done wrong'?
  4. Remember to extol his work, which men have praised in song.
  5. All mankind has seen it; men gaze on it from afar.
