이사야 17:1-19:25

 이사야는 다메섹의 심판을 경고하면서, 구원의 하나님을 잊어버린 다메섹과 에브라임, 그리고 우상 숭배한 애굽이 멸망하게 될 것이라고 하였다. 그리고 야웨의 날에 애굽과 앗수르와 이스라엘로 대표되는 전 세계가 하나님께 돌아옴으로써 복을 받게 될 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  다메섹에 대한 경고(17:1-17:14)    
 
  1. An oracle concerning Damascus: "See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins.
  2. The cities of Aroer will be deserted and left to flocks, which will lie down, with no one to make them afraid.
  3. The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim, and royal power from Damascus; the remnant of Aram will be like the glory of the Israelites," declares the LORD Almighty.
  4. "In that day the glory of Jacob will fade; the fat of his body will waste away.
  5. It will be as when a reaper gathers the standing grain and harvests the grain with his arm-- as when a man gleans heads of grain in the Valley of Rephaim.
  1. 이것은 다마스쿠스를 두고 하신 엄한 경고의 말씀이다. "다마스쿠스는 성읍 축에도 들지 못하고, 허물어진 무더기가 될 것이다.

  4. "그 날이 오면, 야곱의 영화가 시들고, 건강하던 몸이 야윌 것이다.
  5. 그들은 곡식을 거두고 난 텅 빈 들처럼 될 것이다. 곡식을 거두는 자가 곡식을 다 거두어 버린 그 들판, 사람들이 이삭마저 다 줍고 내버린 그 들판, 이삭을 다 줍고 난 르바임 들판처럼 될 것이다.
  1. Yet some gleanings will remain, as when an olive tree is beaten, leaving two or three olives on the topmost branches, four or five on the fruitful boughs," declares the LORD, the God of Israel.
  2. In that day men will look to their Maker and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel.
  3. They will not look to the altars, the work of their hands, and they will have no regard for the Asherah poles and the incense altars their fingers have made.
  4. In that day their strong cities, which they left because of the Israelites, will be like places abandoned to thickets and undergrowth. And all will be desolation.
  5. You have forgotten God your Savior; you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress. Therefore, though you set out the finest plants and plant imported vines,
  1. 그들은 열매를 따고 난 올리브 나무처럼 될 것이다. 마치 올리브 나무를 흔들 때에, 가장 높은 가지에 있는 두세 개의 열매나, 무성한 나무의 가장 먼 가지에 남은 네다섯 개의 열매와 같이 될 것이다." 주 이스라엘의 하나님께서 하신 말씀이다.
  2. "그 날이 오면, 사람들은 자기들을 지으신 분에게 눈길을 돌리고 '이스라엘의 거룩하신 분'을 바라볼 것이다.
  3. 자기들의 손으로 만든 제단들은 거들떠보지도 않고, 자기들의 손가락으로 만든 아세라 상들과 태양 신상은 생각도 하지 않을 것이다."
  4. 그 날이 오면, 그 견고한 성읍들이 폐허가 될 것이다. 마치 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 도망 친 히위 족과 아모리 족의 성읍들처럼, 황폐하게 될 것이다.
  5. 이스라엘아, 네가 하나님 너의 구원자를 잊어버리고, 네가 피할 견고한 반석을 기억하지 않고, 이방 신을 섬기려고 이방의 묘목으로 '신성한 동산'을 만들었구나.
  1. though on the day you set them out, you make them grow, and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud, yet the harvest will be as nothing in the day of disease and incurable pain.
  2. Oh, the raging of many nations-- they rage like the raging sea! Oh, the uproar of the peoples-- they roar like the roaring of great waters!
  3. Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters, when he rebukes them they flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills, like tumbleweed before a gale.
  4. In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us.
  1. 나무를 심는 그 날로 네가 울타리를 두르고, 그 다음날 아침에 네가 심은 씨에서 싹이 났다 하여도, 네가 그것을 거두어들일 무렵에는 흉작이 되어, 너의 슬픔이 클 것이다.
  2. 가련하다! 저 많은 민족의 요란한 소리가 마치 바다에 파도 치는 소리처럼 요란하고, 많은 백성들이 몰려오는 소리가 마치 거대한 물결이 밀려오는 소리 같구나.
  3. 비록 많은 백성이, 거대한 물결이 밀려오는 것 같이 소리를 내어도, 주님께서 그들을 꾸짖으시리니, 그들이 멀리 도망 칠 것이다. 그들은 산에서 바람에 흩어지는 겨와 같고, 폭풍 앞에 흩날리는 티끌과 같을 것이다.
  4. 그들이 저녁때에 두려운 일을 당하고, 아침이 오기 전에 사라질 것이니, 이것이 바로 우리를 노략한 자가 받을 몫이고, 우리를 약탈한 자가 받을 마땅한 값이다.
 
  구스, 애굽에 대한 경고(18:1-19:25)    
 
  1. Woe to the land of whirring wings along the rivers of Cush,
  2. which sends envoys by sea in papyrus boats over the water. Go, swift messengers, to a people tall and smooth-skinned, to a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers.
  3. All you people of the world, you who live on the earth, when a banner is raised on the mountains, you will see it, and when a trumpet sounds, you will hear it.
  4. This is what the LORD says to me: "I will remain quiet and will look on from my dwelling place, like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest."
  5. For, before the harvest, when the blossom is gone and the flower becomes a ripening grape, he will cut off the shoots with pruning knives, and cut down and take away the spreading branches.
  1. 에티오피아의 강 건너편, 벌레들이 날개 치는 소리가 나는 땅에 재앙이 닥칠 것이다.
  2. 그들이 갈대 배를 물에 띄우고, 뱃길로 사절단을 보낸다. 너희 민첩한 사절들아, 가거라. 강물이 여러 갈래로 나뉘어 흐르는 땅으로 가거라. 거기에 사는 민족, 곧 키가 매우 크고 근육이 매끄러운 백성, 멀리서도 두려움을 주고 적을 짓밟는 강대국 백성에게로 가거라.
  3. 이 세상 사람들아, 땅에 사는 주민들아, 산 위에 깃발이 세워지면 너희가 보게 되고, 또 나팔 소리가 나면 너희가 듣게 될 것이다.
  4. 주님께서 나에게 이렇게 말씀하신다. "내가 나의 처소에서 조용히 내려다보겠다." 추수철 더운 밤에 이슬이 조용히 내려앉듯이, 한여름 폭염 속에서 뙤약볕이 고요히 내리쬐듯이,
  5. 곡식을 거두기 전에, 꽃이 지고 신 포도가 영글 때에, 주님께서 연한 가지들을 낫으로 자르시고, 뻗은 가지들을 찍어 버리실 것이다.
  1. They will all be left to the mountain birds of prey and to the wild animals; the birds will feed on them all summer, the wild animals all winter.
  2. At that time gifts will be brought to the LORD Almighty from a people tall and smooth-skinned, from a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers-- the gifts will be brought to Mount Zion, the place of the Name of the LORD Almighty.
  1. 산의 독수리들과 땅의 짐승들이 배불리 먹도록 그것들을 버려 두실 것이니, 독수리가 그것으로 여름을 나고, 땅의 모든 짐승이 그것으로 겨울을 날 것이다.
  2. 그 때에 만군의 주님께서 예물을 받으실 것이다. 강물이 여러 갈래로 나뉘어 흐르는 땅, 거기에 사는 민족, 곧 키가 매우 크고 근육이 매끄러운 백성, 멀리서도 두려움을 주고 적을 짓밟는 강대국 백성이 만군의 주님께 드릴 예물을 가지고, 만군의 주님의 이름으로 일컫는 곳 시온 산으로 올 것이다.
 
 
  1. An oracle concerning Egypt: See, the LORD rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt. The idols of Egypt tremble before him, and the hearts of the Egyptians melt within them.
  2. "I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian-- brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.
  3. The Egyptians will lose heart, and I will bring their plans to nothing; they will consult the idols and the spirits of the dead, the mediums and the spiritists.
  4. I will hand the Egyptians over to the power of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them," declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty.
  5. The waters of the river will dry up, and the riverbed will be parched and dry.
  1. 이것은 이집트를 두고 하신 엄한 경고의 말씀이다. 주님께서 빠른 구름을 타고 이집트로 가실 것이니, 이집트의 우상들이 그 앞에서 떨고, 이집트 사람들의 간담이 녹을 것이다.
  2. "내가 이집트 사람들을 부추겨서, 서로 맞서 싸우게 하겠다. 형제와 형제가, 이웃과 이웃이, 성읍과 성읍이, 왕권과 왕권이, 서로 싸우게 하겠다.
  3. 그래서 이집트 사람들의 기를 죽여 놓겠다. 내가 그들의 계획을 무산시켜 버리면, 그들은 우상과 마술사와 신접한 자와 무당을 찾아가 물을 것이다.
  4. 내가 이집트를 잔인한 군주의 손에 넘길 것이니, 폭군이 그들을 다스릴 것이다." 주님, 곧 만군의 주님께서 하신 말씀이다.
  5. 나일 강이 마를 것이다. 강바닥이 바싹 마를 것이다.
  1. The canals will stink; the streams of Egypt will dwindle and dry up. The reeds and rushes will wither,
  2. also the plants along the Nile, at the mouth of the river. Every sown field along the Nile will become parched, will blow away and be no more.
  3. The fishermen will groan and lament, all who cast hooks into the Nile; those who throw nets on the water will pine away.
  4. Those who work with combed flax will despair, the weavers of fine linen will lose hope.
  5. The workers in cloth will be dejected, and all the wage earners will be sick at heart.
  1. 강에서는 악취가 나며, 이집트 시냇물의 물 깊이가 얕아져 마르겠고, 파피루스와 갈대도 시들어 버릴 것이다.
  2. 나일 강 가와 어귀의 풀밭과 강변에 심은 모든 나무가 말라서, 바람에 날려 사라지고 말 것이다.
  3. 나일 강에서 고기를 잡는 어부들이 슬퍼하며 통곡하고, 나일 강에 낚시를 던지는 모든 낚시꾼과 강에 그물을 치는 사람들이 잡히는 것이 없어서 고달파 할 것이다.
  4. 가는 베를 짜는 사람이 베 짜는 일을 그만두고, 흰 천을 짜는 사람도 실망하여 천 짜는 일을 그칠 것이다.
  5. 옷 만드는 사람들이 낙심하니, 모든 품꾼의 마음에도 병이 들 것이다.
  1. The officials of Zoan are nothing but fools; the wise counselors of Pharaoh give senseless advice. How can you say to Pharaoh, "I am one of the wise men, a disciple of the ancient kings"?
  2. Where are your wise men now? Let them show you and make known what the LORD Almighty has planned against Egypt.
  3. The officials of Zoan have become fools, the leaders of Memphis are deceived; the cornerstones of her peoples have led Egypt astray.
  4. The LORD has poured into them a spirit of dizziness; they make Egypt stagger in all that she does, as a drunkard staggers around in his vomit.
  5. There is nothing Egypt can do-- head or tail, palm branch or reed.
  1. 소안의 지도자인 너희는 어리석기만 하고, 지혜롭다고 하는 바로의 참모인 너희도 어리석은 제안만을 하고 있으니, 어찌 바로에게 너희가 옛 현인들과 옛 왕들의 후예라고 감히 말할 수 있겠느냐?
  2. 이집트의 임금아, 너를 섬기는 현인이 어디에 있느냐? 그들을 시켜서, 만군의 주님께서 이집트에 대하여 무엇을 계획하셨는지를 알게 하여 너에게 보이라고 하여라.
  3. 소안의 지도자들은 어리석은 사람들이다. 멤피스의 지도자들은 제 꾀에 속고 있다. 이집트의 주춧돌들인 지파들이 이집트를 그릇된 길로 이끌었다.
  4. 주님께서 친히 그들에게 마음을 혼란시키는 영을 부으셔서, 그들이 이집트를 잘못 다스리게 하셨다. 그래서 마치 취한 자가 토하면서 비틀거리듯, 이집트를 그 꼴로 만들었다.
  5. 그러므로 이집트에서는 되는 일이 없고, 우두머리나 말단에 있는 사람이나 종려나무처럼 귀한 자나 갈대처럼 천한 자나 가릴 것 없이, 모두 쓸모가 없이 될 것이다.
  1. In that day the Egyptians will be like women. They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the LORD Almighty raises against them.
  2. And the land of Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians; everyone to whom Judah is mentioned will be terrified, because of what the LORD Almighty is planning against them.
  3. In that day five cities in Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the LORD Almighty. One of them will be called the City of Destruction.
  4. In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the heart of Egypt, and a monument to the LORD at its border.
  5. It will be a sign and witness to the LORD Almighty in the land of Egypt. When they cry out to the LORD because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them.
  1. 그 날이 오면, 이집트 사람이 마치 겁 많은 여인처럼 되어, 만군의 주님께서 그들 위에 팔을 펴서 휘두르시며 심판하시는 것을 보고서, 두려워하며 떨 것이다.
  2. 이집트 사람은 유다 땅을 무서워할 것이다. 만군의 주님께서 그들을 치려고 세우신 계획을 상기할 때마다 '유다'라는 이름만 들어도 모두 무서워할 것이다.
  3. 그 날이 오면, 이집트 땅의 다섯 성읍에서는 사람들이 가나안 말을 하며, 만군의 주님만을 섬기기로 충성을 맹세할 것이다. 그 다섯 성읍 가운데서 한 성읍은 '멸망의 성읍'이라고 불릴 것이다.
  4. 그 날이 오면, 이집트 땅 한가운데 주님을 섬기는 제단 하나가 세워지겠고, 이집트 국경지대에는 주님께 바치는 돌기둥 하나가 세워질 것이다.
  5. 이 제단과 이 돌기둥이, 만군의 주님께서 이집트 땅에 계시다는 징표와 증거가 될 것이다. 그래서 그 곳 백성이 압박을 받을 때에, 주님께 부르짖어서 살려 주실 것을 간구하면, 주님께서 한 구원자를 보내시고, 억압하는 자들과 싸우게 하셔서, 백성을 구원하실 것이다.
  1. So the LORD will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the LORD. They will worship with sacrifices and grain offerings; they will make vows to the LORD and keep them.
  2. The LORD will strike Egypt with a plague; he will strike them and heal them. They will turn to the LORD, and he will respond to their pleas and heal them.
  3. In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together.
  4. In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth.
  5. The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying, "Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance."
  1. 주님께서는 이렇게 자신을 이집트 사람에게 알리실 것이며, 그 날로 이집트 사람은 주님을 올바로 알고, 희생제물과 번제를 드려서, 주님께 예배하고, 또 주님께 서원하고 그대로 실천할 것이다.
  2. 주님께서 이집트를 치시겠으나, 치시고 나서는 곧바로 어루만져 낫게 하실 것이므로, 그들이 주님께로 돌아오고, 주님께서는 그들의 간구를 들으시고, 그들을 고쳐 주실 것이다.
  3. 그 날이 오면, 이집트에서 앗시리아로 통하는 큰길이 생겨, 앗시리아 사람은 이집트로 가고 이집트 사람은 앗시리아로 갈 것이며, 이집트 사람이 앗시리아 사람과 함께 주님을 경배할 것이다.
  4. 그 날이 오면, 이스라엘과 이집트와 앗시리아, 이 세 나라가 이 세상 모든 나라에 복을 주게 될 것이다.
  5. 만군의 주님께서 이 세 나라에 복을 주며 이르시기를 "나의 백성 이집트야, 나의 손으로 지은 앗시리아야, 나의 소유 이스라엘아, 복을 받아라" 하실 것이다.
